Breaking All The Rules - Chapter 3
A/N: I know that it's been a while...Sorry about that! I almost deleted this story because I really don't have much time to write about it. But I'm going to try and update it more often. I thought that it would be nice to have a chapter with Gabriel and Sam. Sorry if it sucks! I'll try to make the next one better I promise. This chapter is not Beta and all mistakes are my own. - Roxy.
(Gabriel's POV)
I was slowly making my way over to my next class and at the same time, I was thinking about the new boy that I saw walking into the school earlier. I wasn't really paying attention to my surroundings at the time, 'cause all I could think about was the tall, dark-haired boy that I for some crazy reason, I couldn't get out of my mind when the fire alarm suddenly went off, "Great! This is just wonderful!", I said to myself in frustration.
Just as I was about to turn around and head the other way towards the nearest exit, 'cause that's what you do when the fire alarm goes off, someone bumped into and didn't even have the decency to show a little respect. Douche bag!, "Hey! You should learn to watch...", I said angrily.
When I looked up, I saw him. The new boy from this morning, and all I could think about was how hotter he looked close up!
"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to run you over...Shit!", the tall dark boy tried explaining, however, I was lost for words and just stood there staring at the sexiest motherfucker I've even seen.
What was I suppose to say? Hello, my name is Gabriel and I'm your future husband? I think that's a little pre-mature even for myself to say to him, so I went for something a little lighter. "Gabriel..."
"Gabriel?" He gave me a questioning look.
"That's my name the last time I checked", I said with huge grin, "And yours?"
"I'm Sam. Sam Winchester."
Even his name is hot! Winchester? Oh God! I can see it now! Gabriel Winchester..., "So, guess you're new here?"
"Yes. Me and my brother Dean..." he started saying but I grabbed his arm and pulled him towards the exit.
"Come on, we have to get out of here before we get busted for neglecting the fire alarm."
"We are we going?", Sam asked and followed right behind me.
"On a date", I said and oh yes, I wasn't about to take no for an answer.
"A date? Wow, you really move fast. What makes you think that I'd go on a date with you, Gabriel?"
"Who wouldn't date?" I smiled.
"Well, Gabriel. You're not giving much of a choice now are you?", Sam retorted and grinned.
"First of all, you could start by calling me Gabe or baby or what ever floats your boat. And second, the choice is yours. And from the looks of it, you're not running the other way, so..."
"You have a point there Gabe." Sam blushed at the observation and followed me through the hallway with no complaints.
"I'm always right."
"You're very confident." Sam pointed out.
"Only when it come to getting what I want." I was clear about my intentions.
"And what would that be?" Sam questioned.
"A Winchester." Sam's face became flushed. "So, about our date..."
"No offence, Gabe, but we're in school? This is my first day and..."
"Would you stop worrying? The teachers haven't even taken attendance yet, so that means we have about thirty minutes to get through this date and then we can go back to our class'."
"Okay...", was all Sam said as we made our way out the exit.
"So, Sam. What you're story? Where are you from? Age? Status? Sexual preferences? Large or extra-large?" I knew that we didn't have much time and I wanted to know everything about Sam before we went back to class.
"Is this twenty questions?" Sam asked and looked a little embarrassed by my questions.
"Twenty minutes, Sam! Now, start talking!", I pleaded as we reached the bleachers behind the school. I took a seat on the bench and gestured Sam to sit next to me, which he did of course. I knew that he couldn't resist me! "Alright, mister! Start talking!"
Sam hesitated for a second before he started, "Do I have to answer all of our questions?"
I gave him a grin and moved a few inches closer to him, "That would be a start, don't you think?"
Sam took a deep breath and started, "Well you already know my name is Sam. We just moved here to love with my uncle Bobby. He owns the repair shop Winchester's just a few blocks away."
"I know the place. So, where are you're parents?"
"My dad died a few months ago and Bobby was appointed our legal guardian until Dean's of age."
"Shit! I'm sorry..."
"No, it's alright. My mom passed when I was a baby, so I really don't know much about her. We moved here from Chicago two weeks ago."
"Do you like it here?", I asked.
"From what I see so far, this place has potential", Sam blushed fiercely after his admission.
"Oh really? Well, I guess I'm going to have to make sure to live up to that potential", I answered and wiggled my eyebrows at him.
"You're very straight forward, Gabriel", Sam admitted and giggled, "I don't think that I've even met anyone like you before."
"Wait until you meet my brother, Cas. He's got a stick up his ass the size of a base-ball bat." Sam laughed. "But he's the best brother anyone could ever have."
"Reminds me of my brother Dean. He practically raised me since I was about two. Same goes for the stick up his ass."
"Maybe they should become friends." I suggested.
"I highly doubt that will even happen. Dean's very closed off. He doesn't let people in easily." Sam explained.
"Sounds just like Cas. Cas doesn't do friends. He's always scared of getting hurt or something, and lives by this stupid set of rules he made up."
"What kind of rules?" Sam curiously asked.
"Well this list is long..."
"We have ten minutes?"
"Well...his first rules is don't talk to strangers, which makes perfect sense in a way, but for Cas, it's different."
"How so?"
"Well...this leads us to his second rule which is don't make any friends. I guess the way Cas sees it, it's that talking to strangers can lead to friendships. And like I said before, Cas doesn't do friendships." I explained.
"Wow! Okay."
"Yeah..."
"He must be lonely. I mean without having friends or a girl friend or something."
I laughed, "He'll never admit it, but I think he is. He keeps himself busy with homework and reading, but deep down inside, I can tell that somethings missing from his life."
"Are there any other rules that he lives by?"
"Oh yes! And this one is the one rules that Cas never intends to break."
"What is it?"
"Never fall in love."
Sam became silent. "You okay?", I asked as I shoved his shoulder gently.
"Just thinking. That's all." He replied.
"About?" I pried.
"I just can't ever imagine never falling in love. From what you've described, you two seem so different."
"That we are."
Sam eyed me curiously, as if he wanted to ask me something. "What?"
"Do you have any rules? I mean, that you go by?"
"No. What you see is what you get. Is that a problem?", I asked.
"No. You're just very straight forward." Sam started saying, but I cut him off.
"Just so you know, Sam. I'm very far from being straight if you know what I mean," I said and leaned in closer to him, "and when I see something I like, I'll stop at nothing until I get it!"
"Gabe..."
"I like you Sam."
"You don't know me."
"But I wanna know you."
"You're very persistent"
"And you're so fucking sexy." I said as I pressed my lips onto his. The kiss didn't last as long as I hoped for, but it was still the best kiss that I've even experienced.
We slowly pulled away from each other and smiled. "Wow! That was..."
"Amazing!", I continued. Just as I was about to lean in for another kiss, the school bell rang, signaling us that it was time to head back inside.
"Guess that's our cue to leave." Sam pointed out.
"I guess so..." I got up from the bench and pulled Sam up with me. "Can I walk you over to your first class?", I asked, hoping that Sam wouldn't protest.
"Sure. I would like that very much."
As we walked towards the school together, I noticed Sam brother driving into the parking lot. "Hey Sam? Didn't you say that you're brother went to school here?"
Sam looked at me strangely, "Yeah. Why do you ask?"
I pointed out to Dean who was getting out of his car. "I'll be right back." he pointed out and ran over to him to meet his brother. I followed closely behind.
"Dean? What's up?" I could hear him asking his brother as I got closer to them.
"I hate this place!", Dean screamed out at his brother, "I wish we never moved here!"
"What happened? Why did you leave?", Sam questioned.
"Stupid Castiel Novak happened! That's what!" Dean looked at me with daggers in his eyes as I approached Sam, "Who the hell is this?"
"This is Gabriel. He's my...he a friend." Sam smiled. "But that's besides the point here, Dean. Why are you so angry and what does this have to do with this Castiel Novak."
I couldn't help but wonder why Dean was talking about my brother. I never told Sam my last name, so I took the liberty of asking him myself without disclosing that Cas - Castiel was actually my brother."What happened with Castiel?"
"He's a fucking asshole!" Dean hissed.
"What did he do to you, Dean?" Sam interrogated.
"I don't wanna talk about. Just leave me alone!" and with that, Dean stormed off and went into the school.
Sam looked at me sympathetically, "I'm sorry about Dean. I've never seen his this angry before."
"It's okay, Sam. I get that he's angry, but do have any idea why though?"
"No clue! Guess this Castiel guy really did something to piss him off."
"Yeah..." I worried. "About that. Sam, there's something that I should tell you, and please don't be angry at me."
"Okay?"
"Castiel's my brother."
"You mean, Cas? Your brother with the stick shoved up his ass Cas?"
"The one and only!" I laughed nervously, praying that Sam wouldn't hold this against me.
"No wonder Dean's pissed."
"So, you're not mad at me?"
"Of course not! This is between him and Dean, and I don't wanna us to be caught up in the middle of their drama."
"I'm glad you feel that way." I smiled."Anyways, I should head home to check up and Cas to see what the hell happened between those two."
"Yeah, that's probably a good idea." Sam agreed. "Keep me posted?"
I smiled. "Here's my number. Text me later, okay?" Sam nodded and leaned forward and kiss me briefly.
"See you later, Novak!" he teased and walked off into the school.
Once Sam was out of sight, I hurried over to my car and drove immediately home to check up on Cas. I had a bad feeling about what happened between him and Dean and I couldn't shake it off no matter how hard I tried.
Once home, I ran upstairs to Cas' bedroom and found him sobbing uncontrollably. "Cas? What happened?"
"I broke a rule..." he cried out.
"Oh, Cas." I whispered as I pulled my brother into my arms and comforted him.
