Hey guys so more people asked for a chapter in Resembool so that is what I did... I hope you enjoy. If you didn't want this chapter I made it so technically you don't have to read it you can wait till Edward get's back. It is kind of just a filler.

If you are reading this for the edits this is a completely new chapter and I really hope you guys like it. I tried to make it not boring. also tried to make it a little humorous... (Roy being obsessive. Al annoyed. Ed being Ed.)

Heads up:"..." means dialoge

Edward opened his eyes after a long restless night of sleep only to close his eyes again to block the sun out of his eyes. He rolled over to his other side. His back now facing the window Ed managed to open his eyes. At first he was a little confused as to where he was. After thinking back he remembered that he went to Resembool yesterday to get away from mustang.

'Mustang… that bastard. I should have never let my guard down. Of course Colonel Bastard, womanizer of Central wouldn't want to actually date a guy like me, that's preposterous. I should have known there was a reason that Ro- I mean Mustang would ever want to date me let alone sleep with me. Well Fuck him, Al got his body back so there is no reason for me to be in the military anyway. When I go back to Central I will turn in my resignation papers so I can finally leave. Or maybe I could never just show up, but would Alphonse say? He would think I am a coward and I cannot let that happen. Sigh I can't think about it now. Al should be coming today I might as well get up.'

Edward managed to get up and get ready. He went down stairs and greeted Winry and Pinako. Although Edward didn't explain why it was he who should up at their doorstep yesterday instead of Al, both were happy to see him and welcomed him in. They ate breakfast together and talked like a normal family would. Once they were done, they all cleared the table. Once the table was clean, Ed told them he was going to step out and go visit his mother.

On his way to the cemetery he ran into a few people and had small conversations with them. Everyone was excited to see him. Edward has been so busy in Central he hasn't been able to come home sense he brought his brother back in human form. Edward was starting to think that the only reason people were happy to see him was because he could fix his things. After the 10th person came up to him he decided it was a must, but he didn't care he like to feel wanted and he enjoyed helping.

Everyone in Resembool was family, and sense Ed and Al's mother died when they were so young and their father disappeared, everyone was so kind of them. A lot of people used to stop by the Elric's house and give them food so they wouldn't starve. So Ed didn't mind helping fix their stuff. It kind of made him relieved that he was able to pay all the kind people back.

Finally after a supposed to be 10 minute walked turned into over an hour walk, Ed finally made it to the cemetery. He had walked this walk thousands of times, so his feet were on auto pilot by the time he was finally standing in front of his mother.

"Hey mom" Ed started off saying while he sat down next to her. "I decided to come for a visit. I really missed you. It has been a while sense the last time huh?" It really made Edward want to cry because no matter how much he talked to her, he knew he would never hear her voice, unless it was in his dreams. "Everything has been great in Central. People are treating me well, I don't feel alone at all…"

Although his mother didn't say anything out loud Ed still could picture her standing there giving him the 'I know something is up so don't lie to me look.'

Sigh "You are right mom. The truth is I finally fell in love. Normally that would be a good thing right, the bad thing is that I fell for a guy mother, and even worse it was Mustang, my Superior Officer. I don't know what to do. At first I thought he loved me too. I mean he was so kind and caring especially when… well… you know… we did it… anyway then I go to the office and I over hear his subordinates talking about a bet. That's when I figured out everything. Mom I so hurt, I don't know what to do. I love him I still do, but I don't ever want to see him again. He will probably laugh at me." By now Ed had tears streaming down his face. Even at her time of rest, Edward's mom always was his therapist. He knew he could always rant to her and usually ended up feeling better afterwards. And this time was no exception. After being able to rant to his mother he felt a lot better, so he stood up told his mother goodbye and turned around to leave. Ed looked up into the sky on his walk back to the Rockbell's house and noticed that it was later than he though, so he picked up his pace.

When he finally say the house come into view, Ed noticed Al standing outside talking to Winry and Pinako. "Al!"

Al turned around and gave Ed a big smile, "Brother!" Al ran up and gave his brother a hug. After they separated from the huge hug they tangled themselves in, they looked at each other with a huge grin put on both of their face. Then they started to attack each other, neither smile leaving their faces.

"Seriously fighting already?" Winry sighed.

Aunt Pinako smiled in return to Winry comment. "You know those two. They always do things like this."

"I don't see why?"

"I guess it is a brother thing Winry" Pinako said and turned around leaving Winry to watch the boys.

Finally, long after Winry gave up on the boys, Al finally pinned Ed to the ground. Both overly exhausted. "Guess you will always end up beating me huh Al?"

"Well you have gotten better brother. It took a much longer time to beat me this time…" They both started laughing. Even though Edward was older they both knew that it was impossible for him to beat Al.

After they both finally stopped laughing, they had decided to lay down on the green grass and stare up into the sky. It always brought back memories when they did this. When they were younger the two would always either look at the clouds or do alchemy together. So laying down looking up at the sky just brought back simpler times… that is until Al decided to talk.

"You know brother you will have to go back and face him again."

"I don't know what you are talking about Al." Ed spoke with a little bit of annoyance in his voice. He didn't want to remember Roy. He wanted to go back to what their life should have been, however Al just wasn't having it.

"Ed I know you know what I am talking about. I talked to Colonel Mustang before I came here."

"Damn it Al don't say his name! And what why the hell did you talk to him?"

"Jeez sorry okay I won't say his name again and as for why I talked to him, it's because he stopped by our house a few hours after you left. He told me what happened."

"All of it?"

"Yes brother I know everything…"

"Including what we did?"

"Yes."

"…"

"… Ed?"

"THAT FUCKING BASTARD WHY THE HELL WOULD HE TELL YOU EVERYTHING! HE SHOULDN'T HAVE TOLD YOU. I SWEAR TO THE GATE THAT I WILL KILL HIM NEXT TIME I SEE HIM!"

"Ed calm down. I made him tell me and if it makes you feel better I slapped him for what he did to you."

"Did you slap him hard?"

"Extremely."

Sigh "… Well then I guess it is okay, but I still don't forgive him. The bastard didn't have to play with my emotions."

"Honestly brother I really don't think he did."

"It was all for a damn bet or did he not mention that to you?"

"No he did mention the bet. Still I really think he cares about you."

"What makes you say that?" By now Ed was sitting up from his outburst and Al just decided to sit up too. He really wanted to see his brother's reactions to what they were talking about.

"Well when he was talking about it he really seemed sorry-"

"Yeah sorry that he got caught."

"No sorry that the bet ever happened. I really do think he likes you. If he didn't why would he have took his time to come to our house to make things right?"

"To make himself look good." Al gave Ed the 'are you stupid look.' "Don't give me that look. You know the bastard wants to become the leader of Amestris. What do you think the people would say if they found out that he made a bet to sleep with his subordinate?"

"True, but he really did seem sincere."

"He is in the military Al, he is good at manipulating people. He just wanted to make you feel bad just like he wanted me to think he loved me so he- so he could- so he could get in my pants."

"You know what? You right brother sorry I brought it up. Still you need to go back at least for closure."

"I know…"

While the boys were talking Winry stuck her head out of the door oblivious to what she was intrupting. "Hey guy's dinner is ready. Granny made stew tonight."

"Alright we will be in, in a minute." With that Winry left them to go get ready. "Let's go Al."

"Okay brother." No matter how determined Ed was about pretending he didn't want to see Roy again, and how much he didn't want to believe that Roy was serious, Alphonse knew that something was not right. He knew that Ed really wanted Al to be right, and after talking to Roy, Alphonse knew he was right.

When Alphonse walked inside Winry called out to him telling him that someone was on the other line for him, so he walked over, thanked her, and took the phone from him.

"Hello?"

"Alphonse?"

"Colonel" Al looked around making sure no one heard him. Luckily they didn't.

"Yeah hey, so did you talk to Ed? Is he coming back today? Did he say he forgave me? Was he really that mad? What is happening? I want to see him!"

"Calm down!" Ed gave Al a questioning glare as to why he screamed at whoever was on the phone. Al took the phone to a different room. "You can't call here. What if Ed would have picked up?"

"I changed my voice when I called he wouldn't have known… you haven't answered my questions yet."

Al thinking back to all Roy asked tried to answer them all. "Yes I did, No he is not coming. He did not forgive you. He was even madder than before. I don't know what is happening I am trying to get him to come but he is being stubborn. He really don't want to see you."

Roy listened intently to everything Al said, but one thing stood out the most. "Why would he be madder than before?"

"Well he wasn't too happy that you told me what happened, but I told him I slapped you and he calmed down."

"Sigh I really screwed up with everything didn't I?"

"Yeah but I know you can make him forgive you. He just doesn't believe you are serious anymore."

"But I am."

"I am not the one you have to be tell that to."

"I know."

"Hey Al dinner is on the table. Get off the phone already I want my stew!" Ed screamed from the table. Pinako would not let them start dinner till all of them were at table.

"Was that Ed?"

"Yes."

"Aww."

"Yeah well as you heard I'm keeping Ed from his stew and if I want to live till tomorrow I better get going."

"Wait Ed likes stew?"

"Yeah he loves it a lot. It is his favorite thing to have."

"Well good to know… Okay well I will let you go. Talk to you later."

"Yeah sure." When they hung up Al went to eat.

"Finally! So who was it?"

"Huh no one just someone at my job."

"Oh okay." Luckly Ed left it at that they didn't talk bring it up for the rest of the day.

For the next few days Al kept talking to Ed trying to get him to go back to Central, but every time he brought it up Ed would either change the topic or find something else to do which caused him to leave away from Al.

Honestly Alphonse really did not care if Ed went back or not, but Al was getting sick and tired of his 5 phone calls a day from Roy asking when Ed was coming back. It got so bad Winry started to think Al was cheating on him, so that was when Al finally decided to explain what was going on to Winry. After he told her she was extremely pissed at Roy. "I swear to God if I ever see Mustang again, I will chuck a wrench into his head."

Ed walked in on them confused at the fuming Winry and the scared Alphonse. "H-hey guys what is going on?"

"Oh Ed I am so sorry for what happened." Winry couldn't help herself she ran over and gave him a hug. "I swear if I ever see that Bastard I promise my famous wrench will be going through his head."

Ed stood there confused until it all came together. He looked over to Al and gave him a huge glare. Then brought his attention back to Winry who was still clinging on to him. "Listen it is fine. I don't care anymore. It was my fault I fell for him even though I knew what type of guy he was."

"Still you don't deserve any of that."

"Thanks Win. Well anyway I decided that I will go back to Central tomorrow to get my stuff, besides the military is probably pissed that I upped and ran away for 5 days. I might as well go and get my resignation papers signed… The only thing is that means I have to face him."

"You can do it Ed. And still when you finally resign then you can come back here and live with me, Pinako, and Al! We can be a complete family again."

"Yeah that does sound nice. Well I need to go get my ticket so I will see you guys in a bit." And with that Ed left.

"Wow isn't this great we all will live together Al!"

"No sigh now I have to go call the Colonel again."

"Why?"

"Because I have been trying to get them back together not have Ed move here. Listen it is hard to explain, but the Colonel really does love Ed and I know Ed still loves him. So if they would just talk it out then they both could finally be happy."

"I guess your right…"

After Winry let Al picked up the phone and dialed the Colonels number. On the second ring Roy answered. "Hello?"

"Colonel."

"Al! I was just about to call you!"

"Sigh of course you were... well I got good news and I have bad news. Good news is Ed is coming back to Central tomorrow."

"What's the bad news?"

"He is planning on resigning from the military to come live back here."

"WHAT! No I won't let that happen!"

"As much as I love Ed being here, I agree with you. I can tell his smile is fake. I just want him to be happy again, and I know that his happiness all depends on you."

"I promise Al. I will make him happy. This should have never happened."

"You keep saying that, but what did you suspect? Ed not to find out? He is a genius of course he would… or did you think that he just wouldn't care?"

"Neither. At first I didn't care because it was all about the bet, but when I started to actually fall for him I was planning on not telling Havoc."

"So you were going to lose the bet even though you didn't?"

"Yes."

"Well that is good to know… I suggest that you tell him that if you are able to talk to him."

"I will."

"Okay oh one minute Ed just got back… Hey Ed you get your ticket?"

"Sadly Yeah."

"When are you leaving?"

"8:30 tomorrow morning."

"Kay… So he is leaving tomorrow at 8:30. That should get him there by 11."

"Kay thanks I will set my plan into action tomorrow."

"Good I will talk to you later."

"Okay bye Alphonse."

"Oh and one more thing."

"Yes Al."

"Stop calling!"
