Previously...

The ground beneath Hinata exploded. Everyone struggled to maintain their balance, all except Gaara who's eyes had widened. Hinata didn't open her eyes just yet. Even now all she could think about was the pain coming her way. But nothing came. She opened a blurry eye and was stunned to see the beautiful blue sky instead of Temari. Hinata felt herself being lifted. Was she in heaven? Was this god protecting her? The wounds that were inflicted on Hinata were fading. Healing.

"What's going on?." She whispered outloud to no one in general.

"It amazes me..." A voice hissed, "...That you could summon me in that condition."

She knew that voice.

She relaxed.

Chapter Twenty Four

Don't Hesitate

"I-is that...allowed?." Kiba asked as he eyed the gigantic marvel that hissed at the Sand Jounin angrilly.

Hiashi was taken back, "She managed to do a summoning of this level." He whispered. "Have I misjudged her power?."

"Whoa..." Kankuro whispered, eyes wide. "...Temari's in trouble now."

Gaara didn't say anything. With the help of his eye that was levitating above Hinata's head, he was able to see why she could call upon this beast. Gaara studied her right hand thoughtfully, then looked over at her left. So, if she was able to call upon the snake without even realizing, then what was installed on her left hand. Gaara had to hand it to that Uchiha, he'd go to far lengths just to protect her.

"Do we stop the match or let it continue?." Shikamaru asked the blonde.

Naruto pursed his lips. "Damn that teme." He muttered.

"Oi, we have to control the situation before it gets out of hand." Shikamaru urged. Naruto looked at him, this was the first time he'd ever seen the shadow nin look on edge. Was it because of the match? Or because of the Sand Jounin?

"Manda-sama? Why...-"

He hissed, "What do you think that mark on your right hand means". He snapped. 'I don't want anything to happen to her.' Was what Sasuke had ordered and Manda was going to do just that. Despite knowing he never did things like this, the girl to him was an exception.

"If you hadn't...-"

"Listen, girl." Manda snapped, "I don't intend on healing you everytime you take a blow."

Hinata stood firmly on top of his head, healed, "Hai, I know. Gomen."

Manda lashed his tail forward which knocked Temari ruthlessly to the ground. Hinata covered her mouth in shock. Temari cried out from the pain and rolled to dodge his tail again. Temari stared up at him.

"Now, fight that Sand bitch as if she's going to kill you." He hissed, glaring at her with slitted eyes.

"She's strong." Hinata said, activating her Byakugan. Manda could tell she was still shaken by his violent outburst but decided to ignore it. If she wanted to win, then he would assist when she needed it. Besides, he didn't like the look of the Sand Jounin. If anything he wanted to devour the cocky little wench.

"She's weak." Manda said matter of factly. "Without that fan she has nothing." He hinted.

Hinata took the hint and swallowed. She tapped her foot on his head like she'd seen Sasuke do many times during their training and without another word Manda lowered her. She leapt to the ground easily and placed a hand on Manda's bared teeth. The snake didn't budge, it was their mutual understanding without words.

He hissed.

Hinata took his signal.

"Kage Bunshin no Jutsu." She summoned. A clone popped up beside her. "Let's go." She said.

Temari, still alittle dazed from the large snake shook her head and readied her fan, "Don't underestimate me." She growled, her words seemingly mean't for the snake.

Hinata and her clone started materializing to random areas of the grounds. Temari narrowed her eyes, "That won't work..." She snarled, creating a large tornado within the ring.

Hinata's clone poofed away. Hinata kept running, she barely grazed through the first wave. Temari drew back her fan further. Hinata summoned eight clones this time. She knew she couldn't break through Temari's wind, so she had another plan up her sleeve. Temari kept laying the wind down and Hinata kept getting blown away. But she refused to give up.

"It's pointless." Temari murmured, "You can't touch me. I, on the other hand, can."

"You should know by now Temari-san." All the Hinata's said, "Not to underestimate me."

Temari smirked, "Fūton: Kazekiri no Jutsu."

"She's going to far." Kankuro hissed.

"What do you mean?." Neji said as he overheard.

"With that jutsu, she can create a single or several blades of wind which are capable of slicing through any target with ease. It's strong enough to counter even the strongest of jutsu's" He explained.

Six of her clones starting rotating, while Hinata and a remaining clone started materializing again. Temari counted the blue balls of chakra spinning and realized two were missing. She slid her right foot back and waited.

"There's no point in hiding." She said, "The real you has to be somewhere close."

"Your right." Hinata said from behind.

Temari tensed. 'What? When did she..-"

Hinata and her clone stood back to back with their opposite palms aiming at her, "Hakke Kuuhekishou."

Temari coughed out blood as she went forward and toppled to the ground. Her fan had fallen a few metres away from her. That attack had taken her by surprise. She never would've thought Hinata would play dirty tricks like that. Especially since the Hyuuga Clan were a proud based clan who fought hand to hand and face to face. She raised herself and flipped forward. That Uchiha had taught her well.

"Not bad." She said.

Hinata released all her clones. "I'm not done yet." Hinata said.

"What?."

Hinata picked up Temari's fan and snapped it in half. Temari's eyes widened, "What the hell?."

Manda laughed outloud evilly at the turn of events. "This should be good." He hissed, "Your time is up, Sand bitch."

"Who're you calling a bitch?." Temari growled at him. She reached into a pouch and pulled out a kunai.

Hinata rushed forward. Temari did as well.

Meanwhile...

"YOU CHEAT!." Naruto yelled, "HOW COULD YOU LET HER MAKE A CONTRACT WITH THAT EVIL SNAKE?."

"She didn't know she had a contract." Sasuke said matter of factly, "I placed it for her lastnight."

"That's not fair. What if she can't control him? He might kill Temari." Naruto said seriously.

Sasuke scoffed, "Just shut up." He snapped, "If it's bothering you, then stop the fight."

"You know I can't do that." Naruto snapped back.

"Well then just deal with it." Sasuke retorted, "Hinata will win."

Naruto eyed him suspiciously, "How can you be so sure?."

Sasuke smirked. He closed his eyes for a brief second before opening them. His Mangekyou was activated.

"Susanoo." He murmured.

Naruto stepped back.

Temari threw her kunai, then pulled out another from her pouch, "Henge." She muttered. The kunai suddenly turned and shaped into a large spear.

Hinata skidded hurriedly and bent down to dodge the spear from taking her head off. She spun on her foot and tried to land a kick on her. Temari caught her kick and aimed a punch to her stomach but Hinata smacked her hand away. Both girls came to another stalement. Hinata fell into another fighting stance whereas Temari began running to something.

'Her fan.' Hinata thought.

Manda slammed his tail down, thwarting Temari's chances of getting near it, "Another step bitch, and I'll eat you." He warned.

"This is bad." Kankuro murmured, "Really bad."

"It's not bad at all." Hanabi said with a smirk, "She's going to lose. No matter how you look at it, even if that Sand girl gets her fan, she had no chance."

"Shut it brat." Kankuro growled.

Hanabi activated her Byakugan, "You wanna look like your sister?." She growled.

"Hanabi." Hiashi muttered. "That's enough."

Hanabi's Byakugan receeded, "It's not my fault he can't take a joke."

"Didn't look like no joke to me." Shikamaru said sweat-dropping.

"Kankuro." Gaara said, motioning him to go over.

Kankuro stood beside him, "What is it, Gaara?."

"Go to the Uchiha compound." He said.

"What? Why?." He wondered.

"Find out what that mark on Hinata-sama's left hand is." He said.

Suddenly a piercing scream could be heard. All eyes fell onto Temari. The Sand Jounin seemed fine. So if it wasn't her, then it was Hinata. Hiashi's eyes widened. Her left hand was burning black and red, almost like it had caught on fire. Hinata fell to her knees and tried to ride the pain but to no avail. She cried out again when the flames fell to the ground in front of her. She followed it and landed on her butt.

"HINATA! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?." Naruto shouted.

She was panting. Her eyes never left the flames as they grew larger and larger in front of her. "What's going on?." The flames continued to grow slowly. From where Hinata was she couldn't quite make out what was happening, but to those who knew of this technique, they all stepped back in fear.

"That's..." Shikamaru murmured.

"Sasuke's..." Naruto said.

"Susanoo." Hiashi said, he leaned onto the railing and glanced over at his daughter, "Hinata. Get out of there." He ordered.

Hinata blinked confusedly, "Why?."

Temari fell back. 'This...is unreal.' She thought, trembling.

This didn't go unnoticed. "Naruto, call off the match." Shikamaru said, "Things are getting out of hand."

Naruto clenched his fist, "If I do that, Hinata won't be able to make Jounin."

"She could've if this were a fair fight, but that damn Sasuke had to add numbers to the equation." Shikamaru said.

'Dammit.' He thought raising a hand.

Hinata's eyes widened, 'He's going to call of the match.' She thought, panicking.

Susanoo was complete. It surrounded Hinata completely with Hinata not realizing it. It's skeletal form had generated muscle and armor, and to top it off it wielded both a sword and shield. It was a blazing purple being, almost matching the color of her hair, and it was ready to fight and defend her. Hinata gazed at her left hand.

'So that's what he wanted to give me.' She thought, 'He couldn't be here, so it was his own way of protecting me.'

"HINATA! ARE YOU LISTENING! THE MATCH IS OVER!." Shikamaru yelled.

"NO! IT'S NOT!." Temari retorted, standing with her broken fan. She placed her hand on where the tear started and followed it until it had completely reformed. "This isn't over yet, eh, Hinata?."

Hinata bit her lip. She was helped to stand with Manda's tail, "Finish her." Manda said.

Temari turned with her back facing Hinata, she wiped a smear of her blood onto her fan, "Kamatachi no Jutsu." Temari growled out, bringing her fan forward with a powerful thrust.

Hinata was being lifted. She was on top of this Susanoo that had come fourth because of her left hand. She didn't know what this being looked like upfront, but by the looks her father and sister were giving her, it looked pretty bad. Susanoo's sword came crashing down and Temari managed to just miss it.

"Your done." Manda hissed, hitting Temari so hard in the stomach that she coughed out saliva.

"DAMMIT, TEMARI GET OUT OF THERE!." Shikamaru demanded, anxiously.

Temari pushed herself up with wobbly arms, "Don't go deciding things on your own." She said.
