Chapter 43

Tris' POV:

Tobias got out of the hospital yesterday. They kept them there for a whole week and I stayed with him every night. Nicole and Samantha came to see him too and Sam had a lot of questions for him. She is actually staying with him tonight so that she can "help take care of him".

I was driving to go get her when Christina called me.

"What's up Chris?"

"Hey Tris. Just wanted to tell you that I won't be able to do anything this weekend. Will and I are going to his family's beach house."

"In December?"

"Yeah. His idea. Thought it would be romantic."

"I'm sure it will be. I'm taking you to diner when you get back though."

"Tris you don't have to."

"Yes I do. It's your birthday. End of discussion."

"Okay. Have fun with Sam and Four."

I hang up and pull into Nicole's driveway. I get out and am about to knock on the door when it flies open.

"Hey Tris. I'm ready." Samantha says excited.

"Hey Sam. You can go sit in the front seat. I'm going to talk to your mom for a sec."

"She was so excited to hear that you were the one picking her up." Nicole says.

"I can tell." I say laughing. "I'm worried though."

"I know you are." She says pulling me into a hug. "He's almost healed though. He just needs to stay taking his medicine."

"It's not just that though. It's Marcus too."

"I'm worried about that too. Hopefully he's learned his lesson, but I don't know. We'll worry about that when he gets here. Sam has no idea and I don't really want her to meet him. I might ask you to watch her for a couple days while he's here."

"That's fine."

"Okay we'll have fun. Thank you, by the way. For taking care of Tobias."

"I'll always be there for him. I hope he knows that."

"Trust me, he does."

I walk back to my car and realize that Sam is blaring music. I laugh and back out.

When we get to Tobias' house, she gets out before I even have time to turn the car off. I go in the house and see her jumping on him.

"Toby I've missed you."

"Oh I've missed you too Sam. Thanks for picking her up."

"No problem." I say walking over to him and kissing him.

The doctor said he has to be on bed rest until he's fully healed.

"Where's Uriah and Zeke?" I say looking around.

"Game room upstairs. I think they're playing Black Ops."

"Sam come meet some of mine and Tobias' best friends. They live here now."

"Yay I like meeting new people!" She squeals and then takes my hand, dragging me up the stairs.

Sam goes straight into the game room and kicks the door open.

"Wassup peeps?"

Uriah and Zeke both turn around with confused looks on their faces. When they see Sam, they start cracking up laughing.

"And who is this little cutie?" Zeke says standing up and walking over to us.

"This is Four's niece Samantha. She's staying with you all tonight."

"She's too young for you bro." Uriah says after finishing the game. "Hi Samantha, I'm Uriah."

"I like you're name. It's cool. What's yours?"

"Zeke."

"Eh. Little less cool, but not bad. You both look alike."

"We're brothers." They say at the same time.

"Do they do that a lot?" Sam says looking at me. I just nod and start laughing.

"So what do you do for fun Sam?"

"I only let people call me Sam if I like them. I don't know you very well so it's still Samantha to you."

Zeke puts his hands up in mock defense which causes Sam to laugh.

"We'll it's almost 10:00. I should get going." I say hugging Zeke. I hug Uriah next and then bend down to hug Sam. "By Sam. Be good for the guys okay?"

"Wait you aren't staying?"

"No sweetie. I don't think my mom would like the fact that I would be staying over at my boyfriend's house with two other guys."

"Maybe I can change her mind. I don't want you to leave." She says hugging me as hard as she could."

"Here." I dial my mom's number and hand the phone to Sam. She takes it and then walks out of the room to where we can't hear her.

"Please stay." Uriah says after Sam is gone.

"You two can't handle a little girl?"

"God no. She's Four's niece which means she's probably exactly like him."

"Oh she pretty much is. She loves sports so just go out and play with her. You will be fine."

"I don't know Tri-"

"Here you go Tris." Sam walks in and hands me the phone.

"Hey honey, since Four is injured and I don't think that Uriah and Zeke can handle a little girl like that, I think it's fine for you to stay there for one night. Little Samantha sounds like a handful so they need all the help they can get. Just don't do anything I wouldn't do okay?"

"Thanks mom." I hang up and turn to face them. They are all looking at me with anticipation. "She said yes."

"Yay!" They all scream.

Well this is going to be a long night.

I know a lot didn't happen in this chapter but I thought it would be fun to have Sam come over and spend a night with them. Plus this story needed a break from all of the bad stuff that has been happening. With the Christina's birthday thing, I have something planned for that in the last chapter. I will update again as soon as possible, but I need some ideas of what ya'll want to happen in the next chapter so PM me or just write them in a review. Please review about how you like it, don't like it, whatever you want. If I don't get very many reviews then it will take me longer to update.
