Chapter Seven

The putrid smell of the cell Lilith was kept in was starting to drive her insane. She had no sense of time and no sense of the area she was in. The only thing that kept her mind intact were two things: the thought that Arthur was safe, and the Queens of the Past speaking to her through their connection. Her body was still marked from the power they gave her but the power came with a cost. Her soul was slowly leaning towards the darkness. Soon she would be consumed by it and either die or end up controlled by the enemy and neither could happen now. When Arthur was around his power as the Queen, even in the docile state that it was, kept that cost from overtaking her. He could purge the darkness from her without even trying.

Now she had to battle it by herself and being in this dark cell chained to the wall wasn't helping. At some point they moved it so that she could be on the floor but her neck, wrists, and ankles were all chained and the chains were attached to the wall. The door opened again but this time there were monsters that she didn't recognize walking in. She said nothing and didn't move but panic swelled inside her that she tried hard to hide. They weren't there to torture her like she was used to, they were there for something else.

In a flash of speed one of them had her pinned to the floor, their breath breathing down her neck and she nearly gagged. Another one grabbed her arm and bit into it while a third one was slinking around her legs. For the first time, she started to struggled since she's been here. She didn't want this, she didn't want it. Something that felt like a human hand covered her eyes and she gasped. The evil aura radiating was this person was suffocating. "You'll join us soon, my dear." he said. Her body began convulsing and she screamed as loud as she could. This was the end, she was so afraid she was losing herself now and she couldn't stop it. I'm sorry Arthur, I love you she thought. Then the world went black.
