A/N: I am so sorry for the hiatus! School has not been kind to me at all, one class even assigned two papers on the same day! I have been so busy and I am so sorry my darlings! But here's the update!

The three who were not sick checked up on her throughout the day. Checking her temperature and having once woken her up to make her take the pills Jack had gotten for her.

The turn to go check on Rapunzel had now landed on Merida. Grabbing the thermometer for another round of check-up, she jumped up the stairs two at a time.

Following the same procedure she had conducted twice already, she opened the door and walked in. Rapunzel was in the same position as Merida had left her previously: golden hair a mess on the deep blue of the pillow, an arm partially out of the covers. Merida approached her as quietly as possible and placed the fancy thermometer against her forehead: 102 F.

"At least you're getting better." Merida mumbled to Punzie, who was still fast asleep.

"Mmmm… pass… brush…" Rapunzel murmured in her sleep, eyebrows knitting together.

"And how are you going to use that brush, Punzie?" Merida asked jokingly as she went to get fresh water for the glass by the bed in the guest bathroom.

Returning promptly, she set the glass on the nightstand and turned to go out when she heard Rapunzel talk in her sleep again.

"I like… Jack…" A slight smile traced Punzie's lips. Merida immediately hit her head against the door frame off to her left in disbelief.

"You can say it unconsciously, Punzie, so now you have to say it when you're conscious." With a sigh, Merida shuffled back to the living room. Punzie, sweetie, you've no idea how hard it is acting as the romance intermediary between you two. Now confess soon or I'm going to go crazy!

Merida has known about their feelings for one another based solely on how they acted around one another. Jack always turning his body towards Rapunzel, opening himself up to her and all the unnecessary grazing of her body. Rapunzel's constant glancing at Jack whenever he wasn't looking and the 'tuck-behind-the-ear' when she was with him. All these were signs of infatuation Merida learned about in health the previous year. Not to mention the air that surrounded them. It got so thick Merida swears that she could cut through it with a knife.

Merida stepped into the living room where Hiccup was doing a reading assignment and Jack sprawled out on the couch, asleep.

"Okay, how is Jack asleep it's 1. There's still daylight." Merida walked up to Jack's sleeping body and prodded it lightly with her finger.

"I guess he didn't get much sleep last night…"

"Ughhh." Jack moaned in his sleep as he shifted away from Merida's prodding finger.

"Yeah, he's out of it alright." Merida stopped prodding and turned to Hiccup. "Well, might as well get some homework done-" She started to turn away from the boys to go fetch her backpack from the entry. "-while it's still quiet in here-"

"Punz…" A mumble and a smile from Jack caused Merida to freeze.

There it is again. There's that thick hormonal tension that existed between Jack and Rapunzel. And she wasn't even in the room. First her unconscious confession about Jack, and now his own confession. This was ridiculous. They can't even understand that they are both obsessed with each other!

She snapped. In a fit of frustration, Merida bent to the floor and hit it hard with her fist, causing Hiccup to jump. "Are you kidding me! Just confess to her, dammit! She is obsessed with you, can't you see that? You dense log!"

Merida remained bent over the floor in a following silence, broken by the voice of a certain white-haired boy.

"She's… what?"

Merida turned slowly, shocked, to face Jack. He was sitting up now, eyes wide in shock and surprise.

"Uhhh… how much did you hear?" Merida stood up slowly, regretting her decision to say all of her speech out loud, even if she had temporarily snapped.

He didn't say anything, but stared directly at Merida. Dumbfounded. Him and Hiccup both.
