Epilogue:

Link: Well, that about wraps up this story. Thanks to Scarlette for narrating her incredible story! But now it's time to move on to…

Scarlette: Umm… actually Link, there was one more story I wanted to tell everyone.

Link: You mean the story involving the prophecy of your birth? Scarles, that doesn't happen until much later. I'm sure it'll be a great story, but now's not the time to tell it. Just be patient.

Scarlette: No. Not that story. I meant the other one. The one about… (whispers something in Link's ear).

Link: Oh. That story. Umm… Scarles, are you sure that one is alright to tell? It's kinda… brutal.

Scarlette: Link, at least half of this volume has been brutal and full of blood! I think the readers can handle it by now!

Link: Well… I'll put up a warning just in case they can't. And I guess this one isn't too long, so… alright.

Beast Boy (off in the distance): Hey you guys! Stop breaking the fourth wall and just tell the story already!

(Link and Scarlette both laugh)

Scarlette: Okay, okay! So anyway, the story goes like this….

Bonus Chapter:

The Fall of Roman

Nearly a month had passed since the whole 'Bellum incident', and most of the city had been rebuilt. Titans Tower was back and better than before, mostly because I had my own room now! It wasn't much; just a bed, dresser, and closet. For some reason, the other Titans decided to get me a bed with red sheets (gee, I wonder why?). One thing was for sure, It'd be a whole lot more comfy to sleep on that than on the couch, although honestly the couch wasn't too bad. Cyborg also decided to remodel the T-Ship a little bit. Now instead of it only having single-person seats, each cockpit had double-seats, so now it could hold up to ten people. Now I wouldn't have to squeeze myself in with Spikey anymore! Well, I'd still have to ride next to someone, but it would be less cramped.

Anyway, I was currently on another 'double date' with Link, Starfire, and Robin (aka Spikey, as I call him). Link was paired with Starfire, and I was paired with… well, you can probably guess. At least this time, Spikey wasn't just using me to get Starfire jealous, cause it didn't even work last time. Spikey actually seemed to be enjoying himself this time; maybe he actually did like me, and trust me. Kind of a shocker, considering that I used to be a thief. For some reason, Starfire suggested that we stop at the 'mall of shopping' as she called it. The boys both wondered why.

"I believe that Scarlette could use some new clothes." Starfire claimed.

"What's wrong with the clothes I have on now?" I asked.

I put my hand on my hip and shifted my weight off to one side. I could instantly tell that both boys, especially Spikey, had taken notice of this rather alluring pose; which I made just to prove my point.

"Nothing is wrong with them. But it is the only outfit you have, correct?" Star asked me.

"I have my athenian armor too." I answered.

"Yes, but you're able to call that out anytime with your charmed necklace." She replied. "I believe you could use some regular clothing. Besides… the boys are staring."

I took another look towards the boys. Link was trying to look away, but Spikey was still kinda fixed on the way I was standing. Heh. I knew he thought I was hot.

"Well… I guess another choice of outfit wouldn't hurt. But no going crazy, okay?" I asked her.

"Oh, do not worry. We'll only get you enough for a week's choice." Starfire assured me.

The boys waited outside while Starfire and I were in the clothing store. I knew that guys weren't into shopping for clothes, and honestly, neither was I. To be fair though, I had never been clothes shopping before (or at least I don't think I have. Amnesia, remember?), but from that first trip, it was only a matter of minutes before I was bored out of my wits. After about an hour of looking around, Starfire handed me at least twenty pairs of shirts and pants to go try on in the changing booth. So much for not going crazy.

"Star, don't you think this is a little much?" I asked her. "It's like you picked out stuff for ten of me!"

"Well, earth girls can never have too many clothes. I think." Starfire answered.

Judging by the tone of her response, it seemed like she was new to this kind of thing herself. I decided to humor her and go try on a few of the things she picked out. There were actually a few things that I liked among them, such as a red t-shirt and black knee pants (similar to my usual outfit, but showing a little less…umm… skin), and also a blue halter-top and long brown pants. I tried on more of them, but I'd rather not bore anyone with all the details, so I just chose the ones that I liked and put them in a bag. Even though I didn't exactly like the ones I didn't pick out, Starfire ended up buying them anyway.

"Y'know Star, I don't think it was the greatest idea to start our double date here." I told her.

"Perhaps you are correct." Starfire agreed. "Let us try somewhere fun next!"

Now she was talking! We left the clothing store and met the boys on a bench right outside of it. Apparently they had been chatting about something, and fortunately it didn't seem to be about anything bad.

"Finally!" Spikey exclaimed. "You girls were taking forever in there."

"We would've been out sooner if little Ms. 'Star shopper' hadn't gone 'shop crazy'." I told him while pointing to Starfire.

Starfire responded with a simple, though kinda ridiculous smile; probably hinting that she was a little embarrassed.

"Well, I guess you two had fun then, huh?" Link asked us.

Starfire nodded in response to Link's question. She certainly had fun, but me? Clothes shopping wasn't really my thing. Now if it had been a weapons store, that would've been a different story. So many possibilities; and I wouldn't even have to buy anything. N…Not cause I'd steal them! Those days are over! It's cause of my powers. All I'd have to do is see them, and I'd be able to use constructs of them later on. But since that hadn't been the case, I guess the four of us would just continue our double date. After a bit of discussion, we all decided that we'd see a movie next. After what I'd been through just now, I was hoping I'd be an action movie.

Outside of the movie theater, the four of us looked up at the billboard to see what was playing. Unfortunately, it didn't seem like anything too 'action-y' was playing right now; only horror movies and romantic comedies. Today didn't seem to be my lucky day. I would've been alright with a horror movie, and Spikey probably would've been too, but Link and Starfire claimed that they'd rather not see anything scary today. So I guess they were leaning towards romantic comedy (Gee, how convenient for them. Or at least for Star, anyway. Link's too shy). I was about to argue against it, but then I noticed someone suspicious duck into an alleyway across the street. In ordinary circumstances, this wouldn't be too surprising. But it was who went into the alleyway that caught my attention. I didn't get a clear look at them, but I saw enough to see that it was a girl with white hair, and she was wearing a tight, dark blue dress. I had known someone with that description when I was still in Roman's gang: She went by the name 'Violette' (honestly, Roman was really uncreative when it came to names! It's like the guy just notices the simplest thing about a person and then just adds something without thinking). But… it couldn't be. She should be back in Bludhaven, with Roman.

"Y'know guys. None of these movies interest me. But you guys can go in if you want." I told them.

"But Nikki, it won't be as fun without you." Spikey replied to me.

"Don't worry. I'll be there for the next fun thing we do. You guys go ahead, I'll wait for you here." I said.

They were reluctant at first, but eventually gave in and went in without me. As they walked in I could hear them talking about me, and Spikey mentioning that I was the kind of girl who just 'likes to do her own thing'. Well, he was right. Once they were all out of sight, I turned invisible and hurried across the street and down the same alleyway I saw who I suspected to be Violette go down. The alley continued down straight then went off to the left, where it opened into a large empty lot. Once there, I saw three people gathered. It was as I suspected. The girl I saw before was Violette, and accompanying her was another guy, Mark, a kinda scrawny, but still strong looking guy with a (you probably guessed it) marking covering his face and right arm. But the third person I recognized most of all. He was wearing a dark outfit underneath of a gray overcoat. His hair was pitch black and spiked, even more so than Spikey's, and just like Spikey, he wore a mask over his eyes, but his was accompanied by a mouth-guard of sorts. It was the man that I hoped I'd never have to see again. The man that dragged me into a life of crime. The man who was the epicenter of all my horrible memories. Roman.

"I've disabled the security system to the Wayne Tech company, just as you ordered, Master." Violette told him in her almost emotionless tone.

"Excellent." Roman replied in his own deceptively calm voice. "It's only a matter of time now."

What on Earth was he talking about?! And more importantly, what was this scumbag doing in Jump City in the first place?! I was about to contact the others to come and help me, but I stopped short. I didn't need the others to take down these guys! Sure, Roman used to kick my butt all the time, but I was stronger now. I was the Champion of the Gods! I could take these guys all on my own! Still, I'd stay hidden until the right opportunity; I'd be wise to listen into their conversation a little more. Even though the mere sight of Roman was making my blood boil!

"So we strike at midnight tonight, right?" Mark asked.

"Exactly. If Violette has done right, no one should know that the security system is down until it is too late. We'll sneak in and take our prize. The thermal blade." Roman answered him.

Thermal blade? What was that? From the sound of it, it wasn't anything good, especially if it got into Roman's hands. I wasn't about to let Roman get his hands on another powerful weapon; not after he used me like one! I kept myself invisible and hidden, crouching behind a trash can just in case.

"What about the local heroes? The Teen Titans? Won't they pose a problem?" Mark asked.

"Not once we've disabled their Tower's alarm system." Roman answered.

"Getting past their security system, let alone disabling it, won't be easy. Besides, I'm sure you've heard that our old friend Scarlette is one of them now; and I don't think she'll exactly be happy to see us after what happened last time." Violette said.

"I wouldn't worry. I look forward to seeing my little blood stain again; and this time, she won't escape me so easily." Roman claimed.

His 'little blood stain'. I hated when he called me that! And he thought that he could take on the Titans?! This piece of garbage wouldn't be able to handle me! Unfortunately, in my anger, I randomly formed my bo staff and knocked over the trash can I was hiding behind. The sound alerted everyone to my presence. I guess there was no point in hiding now, and I wasn't the kind of girl to just run away, so revealed myself to them all. Roman took a step forward and laughed softly.

"Well, well, well… looks like we have a spy; and just the one I was hoping to encounter." Roman remarked. "It's been a while, Scarlette. How long has it been? Two years?"

"Not long enough if you ask me!" I snarled at him.

"Heh heh heh. Still as arrogant as ever, I see." Roman chortled. "You had some nerve to simply walk away from what I had offered!"

"Your offer?! You were gonna force me to be your own personal swiss-army knife! You can take that offer and shove it up your…!" I said angrily before Violette cut me off.

"You should watch your tone around Master Roman, Scarlette! He could've let you die on the streets, but he was generous enough to take you in! But even after all he offered, you spat at it like it was dirt!" Violette shouted at me.

I could see that Violette was still falling for Roman's lies. I wouldn't be surprised if he used a lie to get her to join him, cause she honestly didn't look like the kind of girl to be a street punk. She actually looked kind of refined, as if she had been wealthy or something in the past.

"Generous? Roman's a lot of things, but 'generous' isn't one of them!" I told her. "And I would've survived just fine! I was just too young and naive back then, and took the easy way out. You see, I've learned a lot about myself since I left. For instance, I'm not just an ordinary girl, y'know. Brace yourselves for a shock you punks, cause I'm half god!"

Both Violette and Mark chuckled in disbelief, which I kinda expected. It did sound kinda crazy, but if they didn't believe me, that was their problem. I was still going to kick their butts! Just to prove my point, I held out my bo staff and swung it in a threatening motion. Violette and Mark seemed a little intimidated, but Roman, surprisingly, was undeterred, and simply laughed.

"Oh Scarlette…" Roman said. "Do you honestly believe that I'd be frightened of you? It's no secret to me, little blood stain. I've known all along that you are the daughter of Lord Ares."

WHAT?! Roman… knew?! This whole time… he knew who I was?! So… him taking me in, giving me the name 'Scarlette', brutally training me and committing crimes in his name… had it all been some kind of trick?!

"You knew?! You knew who I really was, and of my father?!" I questioned him.

"Indeed. It was your father that requested that I take you in after all. I happen to be a servant of Lord Ares… well, a former servant anyway. He had me take you in because he could not." Roman told me.

Right. Because of the prophecy hanging over my shoulders, my dad couldn't stay with me. So he had Roman do it for him. Although this was back when my dad had gone crazy… or more crazy than he is nowadays anyway, and obviously before Athena had a word with Zeus about the prophecy. And to my surprise, Roman knew about the prophecy as well!

"I saw this as an opportunity. Not only would I mold you into my personal weapon, but with the child of the prophecy under my control, the one foretold to bring forth the Force of Destruction, all of Olympus would have no choice but to do as I say. I would've had the gods under my foot if you hadn't decided to be more 'independent'!" Roman snarled. "But now that I've found you again, this time, you won't get away. You are my ticket to Olympus, and to ultimate power! You will cooperate, Scarlette, even if I have to force you!"

"Roman…" I began. "You are insane! The gods would never submit to you! And don't call me Scarlette! Only my friends call me that now, and you are not my friend!"

Before I could charge towards Roman to attack, Violette and Mark got in my way. Violette attacked me with a weird kind of whip that formed from the purple flower she keeps in her hair (she's where I got the idea to use a whip in the first place), and Mark brought out an extendable hammer he kept on his back (that's how I… eh, you get it). I fought off Violette's whip with my bo staff, grabbed her with it and threw her to the other end of the empty lot, and I caught Mark's hammer before it hit me, then countered him with my own hammer. I shoved the end of my hammer into his gut and swung him around, sending him towards the same area that I threw Violette. She had gotten back up, but was knocked back down when Mark hit her, and both of them were knocked out. With them out of the way, I focused my attention back on Roman.

"It's just you and me now." I growled towards him. "Time for you to pay for everything you've done, you monster!"

I expected some kind of attack, like when he used to fight me during training back when I was in his gang, but instead, he just began to laugh. Then to my surprise, he took off his mouth-guard, revealing himself to have a mouth full of sharp teeth. Since I had never seen Roman without his mouth-guard, this was a shocker!

"Foolish little girl… you have no idea what a true monster is!" He snarled at me.

As he said that, his voice became deeper. But that was the least noticeable thing that changed about him. Roman clenched his fists and six spider-like appendages burst out of his back, each one with a big sharp blade at the end! Roman raised himself into the air with his new legs; he now towered over me, and looked much stronger and dangerous than I'd ever seen him before! I knew Roman was a monster in the figurative sense, but I had never known he was one in the literal sense too!

"Prepare yourself, little blood stain!" Roman snarled. "Your final lesson begins now!"

The sight of Roman as a monster freaked me out at first, but I soon saw this as a opportunity. Now that I knew Roman wasn't human, I didn't have to hold back! I'd have problems with killing a human, but a monster? Not so much. I ditched my bo staff and formed my good old twin swords (I seem to use those a lot, huh?). I stood ready for Roman to make the first move, but if I knew Roman well enough, he was waiting for me to make the first move. It was nothing but a stare-down for a few minutes, but eventually I just couldn't wait any longer. I charged towards him and tried to slash one of his spider-legs, but he saw this coming and leapt over me. He then attacked me from behind, hitting me in the back with one of the blades on his spider-legs. I dodged enough that it didn't do too much, but it still left a big cut on the back of my neck.

I charged at him again, but this time instead of going for his legs, I slid underneath of him and struck him as I rose back up. However, my attack did little more than rip his overcoat a little. Did this guy have armor underneath his coat or something?! Roman wheeled himself around and attacked me with several punches and kicks. I dodged all of them, but Roman caught me by surprise by grabbing me with all six of his spider legs. The edges of the blades were beginning to dig into my skin; at this rate, he'd slice me apart! I wasn't going to let that happen though, so I formed two big shields and used them to push his blades away. Once free, I formed my bo staff again and shoved it into his gut, swung him around and tossed him into the air. Then I formed my whip, grappled him, and slammed him back down into the dirt. He was banged up, but still able to fight.

I brought out my swords again, but Roman tried something else this time, something that caught me by surprise. He inhaled, then shot out a fireball from his mouth. I tried to block it with a shield, but I wasn't quick enough, and it hit me. The impact blasted me backwards into a nearby building wall. I tried to get up, but the fireball had burnt my right arm, so all I could manage right now was to stay on my knees.

"What's the matter? Out of steam already?" Roman taunted. "Hmm… perhaps the oracle was wrong. Maybe you aren't the one who will lead me to Olympus. So I guess I'll just send you into the depths of Hades!"

So now he was done with me? That was typical coming from Roman. Expecting me to do just as he wants, then just pushing me down like I was nothing. Well, the truth is… he was nothing! My thoughts quickly turned to rage, but this wasn't like the rage I felt before going into 'blind fury', nor was it righteous fury. My entire body felt like it was burning, but not from Roman's attack, it was from my anger; anger towards my father for allowing this guy to torment me for all these years, anger towards Roman for treating me as a weapon and thinking I was useless otherwise, and perhaps even anger towards the gods themselves for tearing my family apart. But mostly, it was anger towards Roman. My eyes blanked out, but rather than going white, they turned the same red color as my father's eyes. But I wasn't unconscious this time; I was fully aware of what I was doing. I had a feeling… was this rage of the goddess that lived in my blood?

Whatever it was, Roman was about to end this with one final strike from one of his leg blades. But I wasn't one to go down so easily! Faster than Roman could react, I formed the Omega Sword and sliced his leg blade clean off! Roman reeled back in pain, putting him in the perfect position to see exactly what I had become. I stared him down with blood red eyes, and I could see him cringe in fear a little.

"You are not the only one with special powers, Roman." I growled at him.

Without any delay, I tapped the pendant on my necklace, Athena's charm, and my greek-styled athenian armor formed around me. As I started my assault, Roman tried to stop me with another fireball, but it simply bounced off my armor. He then tried using his leg blades to block me, but I simply smashed through them and sent Roman flying through one of the nearly buildings. I went after him, through the hole he made in the wall. The building seemed abandoned, but I knew Roman had hidden himself somewhere in here. I looked around for a little bit, and although my eyes were still blood red with rage, I was able to see my surroundings perfectly clear.

"Only a coward hides himself, Roman!" I shouted (now that I think about it, I was one to talk). "Come out and face me like a man!"

Turns out, Roman wasn't hiding. He was waiting for the perfect opportunity to drop a large broken section of the ceiling on me. It hit me, and from underneath the slab I could hear Roman laughing again, which only made me angrier. If he thought this pile of bricks could keep me down, he was wrong. Harnessing the immense strength that came from my god-powered rage, I threw the slab off of me and straight into Roman's face. The impact blasted him out of the building, back into the empty lot. When he got back up, he saw me standing a few feet in front of him, with the Omega Sword in my hand. He saw the glowing omega symbol on the hilt of my sword, and the look on Roman's face became even more terrified.

"That sword! That's… Zeus' sword!" Roman exclaimed.

"Yeah. The Omega Sword. The same one that ended the Great War." I informed him.

"No! Impossible! Zeus would never give his most powerful weapon to a child like you!" Roman claimed. "The child foretold to bring about the destruction of all things… has the greatest power in all of Olympus in her possession?!"

"So now you believe the prophecy?" I asked him, a little sarcastically. "It doesn't really matter. Because you won't be walking out of here alive!"

With Roman on his knees, I went up to him and punched him in the face with my free arm. The strength of my punch being backed up by my god-powered rage sent him into the wall again. Before he could get up, I cut off two more of his spider-legs with the Omega Sword, then cut him straight across his chest. He fell to his knees, with blood spilling from his wounds. Still, he was alive enough to give me a final message.

"Do you remember, Nicole? It was I who saved you… took you off the streets... when no one else would." He weakly reminded me.

"I haven't forgotten, Roman. I remember how you took me off the streets back then. That was the only good thing you ever did, and I use the term loosely." I responded to him.

"The brutal training… the harsh treatment… the rage I induced within you… don't you see?" Roman asked. "I was… doing what your father… would've wanted. I was trying to bring out the god within your blood! I was trying to make you… a great warrior. A champion!"

If this was Roman's way of begging for his life, it wasn't working. Still, I took a moment to think about to think about what he had said, and I came to a conclusion.

"You succeeded." I answered him. "And now… I never want to see your face ever again!"

And with that, I took the Omega Sword, and drove it through Roman's face! It would've been a horrible sight for me, if it was anyone besides him.

"When you see Hades in the underworld, tell him War Angel says hello." I told him in the last few seconds of life he had left.

I drew my sword out of his blood-covered face and stood back. With one final and rather-distorted howl of pain, Roman fell to the ground in a bloody mess. Finally, after all the years that this man tormented me, and had a grip on my psyche, I had finally done it. The man who had made my life a blood-stained nightmare, was dead.

I discarded my weapon and turned around. Violette and Mark had regained consciousness and were staring in terror at the bloody mess that used to be Roman. I'm not really sure how these two had encountered Roman, but however they did, it didn't matter now.

"You… killed him." Violette said.

"Yeah. I did." I told her.

The god-powered rage that had been fueling me during the fight had now dissipated. I was feeling a bit calmer now, but kept up the serious act until I left. Violette and Mark looked at me with bewildered looks on their faces. Right before I left, Violette asked me one last question.

"Scarlette… what are you?!" She asked.

I paused before I stepped into the alley, then turned my head toward my two former gang-mates. My answer was short and simple.

"I'm War Angel." I told both of them. "Remember it. Respect it. Fear it."

With that, I took my leave. Whatever Violette and Mark would do now, that was for them to decide. But as for me, I had some friends to get back to. Hopefully I'd be able to clean myself up and get back to waiting for them by the movie theater before their movie ended.

It was fortunate that Link, Starfire, and Spikey hadn't exited the movie theater yet, cause it gave me enough time to use a restroom in a nearby store to clean myself up. I had to get off all of the dirt and blood stains from the battle. But that was the easy part, cause I still had to explain my burnt arm. Or at least I thought I had to, but when I took another look it had already begun healing! Heh. Sometimes it pays off to be a demigoddess.

After cleaning myself up, I hurried back to the same spot where I had been before the others went into the theater. It was only a few minutes before they came back out. Spikey looked pretty much the same, but Link was blushing immensely. What happened in there?

"What took you guys so long?" I asked them.

"The movie was a little longer than we thought. I wasn't bad, but it could've been better." Spikey answered.

"I thought it was wonderful! It was funny and romantic." Starfire claimed. "Right Link?"

All Link did was respond with a very hastily spoken 'yes'. Something was up here, so I asked him what happened. He was still not answering, so I stepped up to him and shook him to snap him out of it. Then I asked him again; what happened in there?

"Well… uhh… Starfire kinda… uhh…" Link tried to say.

"I leaned close to him throughout most of the movie, and near the end I gave him 'the cheek peck'." She finished for him.

Oh. Now I get it. Starfire gave Link a little kiss on the cheek, and Link kinda blanked out from it. Now that was kinda funny.

"So what did you do out here, Nikki?" Spikey asked me.

"Oh! I just… umm… dozed off for a little bit, then took a walk around the block, then came back here. Nothing big." I answered, knowing that it was a lie.

I didn't think now was the best time to tell them what really happened. I was actually in a good mood now, and I didn't want to ruin it by revealing how Roman had been in the area and how I confronted him and killed him. So for right now, we continued our double date and headed for our next destination. Along the way, Spikey asked me if he could expect a kiss from me today. I think he asked that partially as a joke, but I answered him anyway.

"Hmm… maybe. If you take the mask off." I told him.

He almost immediately dropped the subject, which kinda ticked me off a little. So, what? Was keeping his mask on more important to Spikey than getting a kiss from a girl he likes? Sometimes I just didn't get this guy. Anyway, the four of us continued our double date and headed for our next destination. Turns out, there was a rock concert playing nearby and Spikey had tickets! Cool!

Once in the auditorium, we were immediately greeted with the loud sounds of rock instruments. It took us a moment to get used to it, and a little longer for Link because of his kitty-cat ears. But once our ears stopped pounding, we joined the huge crowd and went to find our seats. By a stroke of luck, Spikey had gotten us all front row tickets! Spikey may be a bore sometimes, but in a moment like this, I couldn't help but love the guy! I would've kissed him; well, y'know, if he didn't have the mask on. We went and found our seats and waited for the concert to begin. It wasn't a long wait, and once it started, I realized the music didn't really appeal to me.

"You call this music?! It's more like a blunt knife trying to cut a trash can lid… or something." I remarked.

As it just so happened, the lead guitarist was able to hear my remark, even over all the screaming fans. He told everyone to quiet down for a moment, and then directed his attention towards me.

"What was that about a trash can lid?" He asked me with an angry tone. "You think our music's garbage or something?!"

"Well, yeah. Kinda. I could do better." I bragged.

"Oh yeah? Prove it then. Get up on that stage and play, girlie." He told me.

Honestly, I probably hadn't been thinking too much when I said that I could play better, but I was in a pretty good mood right now, so what the heck! I'd give it a shot!

"Okay! You're on!" I replied to him.

Before I went on stage, Spikey asked if there would be some kind of wager involved. Neither I nor the lead guitar player had thought of that, but I quickly came up with the idea that if I could do it, then this guy would have to go dunk his head in one the auditorium's toilets (okay, I guess that was a bit much, but it was all I could think of). The lead guitar player suggested that if I couldn't play something better than him, that I would have to go on a date with him.

"What?! As if! I'm kinda already on a date here, pal!" I snapped.

"So you're backing out then? I knew you'd be too chicken to try it!" He gloated.

Oh, so now he was calling me chicken?! A few minutes ago, I just killed a psychotic criminal! Compared to that, this was nothing! So I told him that I'd accept the terms, then leapt up onto the stage. He told me that he'd at least be generous enough to let me use his guitar.

"Oh, no. I won't be needing that." I told him.

"What? How are you going to play anything without a guitar?" He asked me.

"Oh, you'll see." I answered.

He thought I was crazy, but accepted my terms. He then announced over the mike that a 'newcomer' has taken the stage to challenge him. The entire crowd began to mumble stuff under their breath; mostly stuff like 'who's this chick', or 'wow, she's crazy'. Honestly, it was stuff I was kinda used to, but right now it was time to rock out! I just hoped that this would work. I held my left hand up in the air and concentrated to form a guitar. Hey, a guitar can count as a weapon! You can, you know, smash it over someones head and stuff. Fortunately, I was right about that, because red markings appeared on my arm, and in the next second, a glowing red construct of a guitar formed in my hand. The sight of this caused the entire auditorium to gasp in surprise; even Link, Starfire, and Spikey, and they were used to me doing this kind of thing!

"Gimme a beat!" I shouted over towards the base player and drummer.

Once they had a beat going, I took a strum on my guitar. Even though I had never taken lessons in my life, I was still able to play a particular song. I'm not sure what it was, but it had sort of an ancient greek tone to it. I wonder if it was because I was a demigoddess? Kind of a stupid question really; that's probably the exact reason. Seeing as I apparently knew what I was doing, I kept on jamming, and having a good time doing it! The crowd began to go wild, so I guess they liked what I was playing. The song I was performing went on for about four minutes, and about halfway through I tapped my necklace and activated my athenian armor. Not sure why; to make it more epic I guess? Well, the crowd seemed to love it, so I guess it was a good idea. Once I struck the final 'cord', the crowd went wild again. The lead guitarist came up to the stage and shook my hand.

"Girl, I'm not really sure what you did there. But man, was that epic! I'd say you win the bet." He told me.

"Heh. Thanks!" I replied. "And you don't really have to put your head in a toilet. I was just messing around."

"That's a relief. Though I can't say the same about my side of the bet. If you hadn't won, I still may have taken you on that date. Cause, and don't take this the wrong way, but, you're kinda hot." He said back to me.

Heh. It didn't take a genius to figure that out. Even Spikey knew I was hot. On a side note, the guitarist asked me if I'd like to join their band, saying they could use a guitarist as epic as me. I turned him down though, saying that I'm not a guitarist, it was just a little something I did on the side (well, kinda. It was the first time I tried it). Before we left, he asked me for my name.

"My friends call me Scarlette, but you? You call me War Angel. M'kay?" I told him.

Spikey interrupted by telling him that I was the newest member of the Teen Titans. He also whispered something to him a little angrily. I think he said 'she's mine by the way.' Wow, really? I never knew Spikey cared. With that, we made our leave.

It was around 10pm when we returned to Titans Tower. Cyborg had ordered a pizza, so we were all anxious to get in and eat it! Link and Starfire zoomed into the elevator to the ops room, but before I could get in Spikey stopped me.

"Hey, Nikki?" He asked me. "Before we go in, I want to ask you something."

"Uhh… sure thing Spikey. Shoot." I responded.

"It's about my mask. I've noticed that you don't really like me wearing it. Is there a reason why?" He asked.

I turned my head to the side a little in response, and waited a moment before giving him my answer.

"Well… it's not you, Spikey. It's the mask in general. You see… Roman wore a mask just like that one." I told him.

"Roman? He was the leader of the gang you used to be in, right? The one who tried using you as a weapon?" Spikey questioned.

"Yeah, that's the one. He wore that mask all the time; and when I see you wear it all the time, it just brings back those horrible memories." I told him.

This was also the reason why I wouldn't even try to kiss Spikey unless he takes off the mask. Because otherwise, it would make me feel like I was kissing… ugh! It's too horrible to imagine! I didn't say this directly, but Spikey just figured it out.

"I see. That's why you don't want to kiss me. Because it's just make you feel like you're kissing…" He began.

"Don't even say it!" I cut him off.

He apologized, and then admitted that he does tend to wear his mask a little too much.

"A little?! Spikey, you wear that thing all the time! It's creepy!" I snapped at him.

"But… it makes me feel cool." He told me.

"Yeah, but when you never take it off, it's just creepy." I responded. "Has anyone here even seen your real face?"

He took a moment to think, but he couldn't really think of anything. I stated that this was my point exactly. I also mentioned that it kinda felt to me that he liked that mask more than he liked me. When that came out, I blushed a little and turned my head away. But then I felt kinda sad, cause what I said was likely to be true. Turns out, I was wrong. Spikey called out my name and asked me to look at him. When I did, what I saw shocked me. Spikey… had taken his mask off! Underneath of that creepy mask was a pair of blue eyes; very similar to the color of Link's eyes. He actually looked really nice without his mask.

"There. Are you happy now?" He asked me.

While still staring at his blue eyes, I walked over and stood right in front of him. It was very possible that I was the first person in the tower to ever see Spikey's actual eyes. Spikey was still waiting for my response, but I wasn't really sure what to say. At this point, my emotions were controlling my actions, because I placed my hand on Spikey's neck almost involuntarily. Then to his surprise, and mine kind of, I leaned forward and kissed him! It only lasted for about five seconds, but it was enough that both of us blushed immensely.

"Nikki. What was…?" Spikey began to ask.

At this point my emotions were under control again, and I immediately pushed Spikey away from me.

"Why the heck did you do that?!" I shrieked at him.

"Me?! You're the one who kissed me!" He responded.

"I…I…!" I began, but stopped and sighed. "I know. I couldn't help it. Your just… so much better without that mask on. It didn't feel weird, y'know. Besides, I did say I might kiss you if you took off the mask."

Spikey simply responded to that with a smile. Then he patted me on the shoulder, saying that it was okay. We all have emotions; some of us just have a hard time showing it. Well… at least he liked it. But I went on to tell him that this didn't mean that he and I were officially boyfriend and girlfriend; not yet anyway.

"Just so you know, I'm not the kind of girl who wants to be in a clingy relationship. I'm all for having a boyfriend, but not the kind that needs me around every second of every day, and does creepy things to show his affection, and gets super jealous if I talk to another guy; cause I can talk to anyone I want." I informed him. "Got it?"

"Got it." He responded.

Honestly, I don't think I had to worry about that kind of thing from Spikey. He usually preferred to keep to himself; all I'd really need to worry about was him getting jealous, cause I heard he did sometimes get like that back when Starfire was his girlfriend.

"Good." I said. "Now that that's settled, let's go get some pizza."

"You don't have to tell me twice, Nikki." He replied.

As Spikey put his mask back on, I joked around and said 'last one to the kitchen is a traffic light!', then raced towards the elevator. Spikey caught up, saying that my joke didn't really make sense. Give me a break, I have amnesia. Although now that most of who I was had been revealed to me, it's not as bad as it had been before. Neither of us was going to tell any of the other Titans about our kiss though. The last thing either of us wanted was for this whole thing to get out of hand (well, I know I didn't want it going out of hand, anyway). But one thing was for sure; Spikey and I would have an interesting relationship from now on. Oh yeah, and that I was getting the last slice of pizza!

Meanwhile, in the empty lot from earlier, the same place where Roman took his last stand, something happened. Something I didn't witness, but had hoped would not happen.

Majora, the demonic mask and the Teen Titans worst enemy, appeared out of nowhere and gazed down menacingly on the corpse before him. Roman's dead body was still laying on the ground, still bloody and beaten. It was at this moment that Majora pulled out his three demon shards.

"You must be Roman. I have heard many things about you. And I know that much like me, a certain 'little blood stain' has made life difficult for you. I suppose literally in your case, given your current state." Majora said to the lifeless corpse.

The three demon shards hovered above Roman's dead body, and began to exude dark energy; energy that began to enter Roman.

"I could use someone like you in my plans. As such, you will not die this day. Hades will have to wait, because now you will work for me!" Majora snickered.

Once all of the dark energy had entered Roman, his body began to twitch. The big hole I had left in his face began to heal itself, until it was just a big scar across his face. Roman slowly stood up and looked upon his hands. Thanks to Majora, Roman had been pulled free from the hands of death. He was alive, and his eyes burned with thoughts of vengeance towards me. What did Majora have planned for the newly revived Roman? What exactly was Majora's plan anyway? And how were these demon shards involved? One thing was certain though; whatever these freaks had in store for us, we'd be ready.
