Whew, sorry this new chapter came out so late.
About some differences in character in this fic from the actual games; I may sometimes take a few liberties with the personalities of some characters, based on how I had initially imagined them or what I think would make a more interesting character. I apologize in advance for characters that are derailed too severely.
Serena yawned deeply as she was greeted with the sunlight of a new morning.
"Ahh, what a beautiful day!" she announced as she threw the curtains of her bedroom window open. "The sun is shining, I can hear Fletchlings singing in the air, and most importantly… not a Trevenant in sight! Isn't it a bit strange that they look like trees, but they don't like the sun?" She paused for a moment, pondering her own question. "No, I suppose not. Anyway, I think I'll pay Cal an early morning visit! I know he'll just love it if I served him some breakfast in bed!"
Changing out of her favorite pink pajamas, and back into her usual outfit, Serena quickly ran downstairs, keeping her steps as light as she could so as not to disturb Tierno, who was sleeping on the living room's couch. However, as much as she tried, Serena was not at all accustomed to the art of fast sneaking, and the girl brought with her a cacophony of noise as she hobbled clumsily down the staircase.
Luckily for her, Tierno was among the heaviest of sleepers; indeed, a Loudred could let loose with its Hyper Voice, and even that would not disturb the dancer boy's slumber in the slightest.
It was only a short walk for the girl to reach her neighbor's house; before her fingers could touch the knob, Serena heard a heavy shuffling at her right, and panicked for a second when she saw that the family Rhyhorn had taken notice of the trespasser. To her relief, the big Rock-type Pokémon recognized the girl as a friendly face, and stopped paying her any mind, returning to its resting state. With nothing to fear, Serena turned the silvery doorknob to find that it was firmly locked, but this was hardly a deterrent; if there was one thing she knew about her favorite neighbor, it was that he always kept the key to the house hidden under the doormat.
Of course, Serena knew much, much more about Calem than just that one fact.
"Looks like everyone's still asleep," Serena discerned. With that in mind, she made her attempt to quietly walk to the kitchen – a shaky attempt at best, given her inexplicably loud steps. Even so, nobody else had awakened by the time Serena had made it to the stove, and the girl began to rummage through the kitchen's fridge for something to cook.
Trevor was still asleep after Serena had finished putting breakfast together; his previous night of sexual self-indulgence had left him quite tired.
"Caaaal!" Serena called out, knocking on the bedroom door with one hand as the other was occupied with a tray of food. "Are you still asleep?"
Only a faint snore came from the other side.
Serena's hand was starting to tremble under the weight of a tray bearing a plate of scrambled eggs, three slices of toast, and a bottle of Moomoo Milk. "If you're in there, Cal, don't say anything."
No response. Just as promised, Serena began to open the door, mindful of her tray of food.
As soon as Trevor had reached climax the night before, he had quickly fallen into sleep without having time to take cover under the blankets or clean off the bodily fluids he had released all over his groin and belly. It was hard to blame him though; there was nothing that even remotely suggested to Trevor that the girl next door would think to enter the house uninvited, for the purpose of preparing a surprise breakfast for the boy whom she was so emotionally invested in.
Unfortunately, that was exactly what had come to pass, and the sound of the door swinging open was starting to wake the boy up.
"Okay, I'll just leave it on- Kyaaaa!"
Serena shrieked as her eyes fell upon the naked boy lying upon the bed. Both her outcry and the crashing of a dropped food tray finally woke Trevor up in earnest; he felt some annoyance at all the noise interrupting his rest, which was quickly replaced by panic as soon as his eyes opened to see the girl standing in the room.
"Aaaaahhh!" Trevor screamed, his privacy compromised. He quickly grabbed the blanket from underneath himself, throwing it over to preserve what modesty he could salvage.
"Waaaahh!" Startled beyond belief, Serena ran out of the room, and then the house, leaving Trevor alone with his breakfast scattered about the floor.
The boy grumbled. Even when he was alone in someone else's home, in someone else's body, he was subjected to being walked in on at most inappropriate times. Just what was Serena doing in Calem's house anyway? Was this a common thing for her to do? Trevor had to wonder how the real Calem could ever put up with such absurdity.
The sudden intrusion had also reminded Trevor about his regular visitors from back when he was in his original body – visitors who were interacting with Calem now, wondering why the Trevor they knew was acting so different.
"Clemont…"
Trevor knew that Clemont would notice a change in his friend's behavior, no matter how well Calem tried to maintain the façade, but wondered if the sharp-minded boy would make the connection; did he also hear of the magician and his ability to swap minds around? He made a mental note to check in due time… but more important matters were at hand at the moment, such as the breakfast Serena had spilled on the floor.
But before Trevor could clean the bedroom, he needed to clean himself; he promptly made his way to the shower to rinse himself of the sticky sheen that coated a fair amount of his body.

"Oh my fu… fu… mrrrrph…"
Tierno woke up to the incoherent murmurings of a rather dazed Serena; it took him a few moments to remember that he had slept over there.
The black-haired boy gave a deep yawn. "Hey, Serena. What's shaking?" It was a rather funny coincidence he said that, given that Serena was trembling like a shivering Snorunt as she huddled herself in the corner of the living room, clutching a balled-up tissue to her bleeding nose.
"I… I saw…" she began, her eyes failing to meet Tierno's.
"You saw?"
Serena's lips moved silently.
"What?" Tierno leaned in closer.
"Well you see I went to Cal's house to make him some breakfast and when I went into his room he was naked and I saw him naked and now I'm here why didn't he tell me he was going to be naked like you can't just do that I can't bear surprises like that-" Serena's words suddenly came out at a dizzying pace.
"Really?" asked Tierno, and Serena nodded in response.
He didn't even blink after processing all that information. "Okay, well… you stay here, and I'll go out to get some tea or something… something like a whole bag of chips, mmm."
But Serena wasn't paying full attention, and she was still shaking around uneasily as she rambled on to herself.
"Ngh, I can still see it, like it's been burned into my mind… Damn, why didn't he turn around?! I didn't get to see the other side!"
Before Tierno could cross the short road of Route 1 to buy some tea at Aquacorde Town, he bumped into Shauna, who was walking alongside her slimy Dragon-type Pokémon.
"Hey, Shauna," greeted the boy. "Whatcha doing?"
"Oh, not much," she replied, before pointing to Calem's house. "I thought I heard screaming, and I wanted to see what was going on-"
"No way!" Tierno's round eyes widened.
Shauna didn't quite get her friend's sudden interjection, but she played along. "Yes way."
Tierno knelt down to meet eyes with Shauna's Pokémon, poking at one of its sensitive antennae. "Dude, did your Goomers evolve?! That's awesome!" Indeed, Shauna's Goomy had evolved into Sliggoo some time ago; its previously blob-like form was now taller, and carried a swirled, shell-like lump on its back.
"I'd love to talk about that, but this could be serious," Shauna explained. "Those screams back there sounded like Serena and Cal… What do you think happened?"
Tierno shrugged. "Beats me."
Shauna scratched at her head. "I dunno if you noticed, but Serena's been a bit crazy for Cal lately… even more than usual. Did something happen to him lately?"
The large boy shifted about nervously, fearing that the girl had caught on to what had really transpired. "Look, you gotta keep this a secret from Serena! If she finds out, she'll flip… and it's not gonna be one of those cool dance flips, either!"
"What secret?" Shauna pried, raising an eyebrow.
Tierno cleared his throat. "Well, it all started the other night, when we went to see that cool magic guy…"

A day had gone by since Calem had looked through Trevor's room, looking for the other boy's laptop, and his efforts had thus far been in vain. More than once, he wanted to simply give up on the whole endeavor, but curiosity kept dragging him back into his search. It almost felt to Calem like Trevor's original inquisitive behavior was beginning to rub off on him.
After breakfast, he asked Trevor's sister if she knew anything about the laptop, to which she simply laughed condescendingly, as if there existed some hilarious inside joke that the boy was missing out on. What Calem did not know that the real Trevor was very protective of his possessions, and knew to keep quiet about what was obviously supposed to be a secret.
Calem wished that had his own Pokémon with him to aid his search; his Meowstic in particular was very good at finding things with its psychic abilities. Perhaps it would pay to swing by his own house for a brief spell, he thought.
With that objective in mind, Calem went to the front door and reached for the doorknob, but before he could lay his fingers upon it, the door swung away to reveal that someone else had opened it, and Calem's open hand was only inches away from groping the guest.
"Well, someone certainly seems eager today." Clemont smirked, and Calem immediately withdrew his arm, as though he were about to touch an open flame.
The blond glasses-clad boy didn't seem to mind the eccentricity, and simply continued on with his point. "Well, Calem, I have some news that is sure to interest you!"
"Huh?" Calem was a bit nervous.
Clemont adjusted his big round glasses, tilting them to hide his eyes behind the glare of the lenses. "Progress on my mind-transferring machine is coming along great!" The inventor nodded proudly to himself. "Yup, I really am a genius… But there is one stipulation for which I will require your assistance to surmount."
His declaration was met with a blank, silent stare from the shorter boy.
"I need your help," Clemont clarified.
"But… how can I help?" asked Calem.
Clemont removed his backpack, and reached into it to retrieve a sheet of paper littered with various scrawls.
"If I were talking to the real Trevor, I'd easily be able to explain all the technical aspects behind it, but I'm not, so I won't bore you with it. Long story short, I'll need you to collect an Inkay-" he paused to point to a drawing in one corner of the paper, a crudely-drawn version of the Pokémon in question, "-so I can harness its mind-altering properties for my machine!"
It certainly seemed like a simple task, so Calem complied with a silent nod.
"Excellent," Clemont responded with an ear-to-ear grin. "Come on, let's not waste any time now! Those Inkay aren't going to catch themselves!"
Without another word, the Gym Leader of Lumiose City dragged Calem away from the front door, leading him away from the city in search of their required Pokémon.

"And then, when Trevor asked me if I had an idea, I showed him my dance routine. I wasn't really sure what he wanted, but I was just itching to show him my moves…"
"Okay, okay," Shauna signaled for her friend to stop talking. "Thanks for telling me about what happened to Cal and Trevs, but what was up with all that other stuff you were talking about?"
"Whoops, my bad." Tierno grinned feebly; he was only dimly aware that he had been caught up in the excitement of recounting a riveting story. "Anyway, yeah."
Shauna looked down at her Sliggoo, as if asking for its opinion; the Pokémon simply responded with a vacant, oblivious expression. "Hmm, I really think we should let Serena know before he does something rash."
"No way!" Tierno shook his head. "You tell Serena, and she's going to figure out that Cal skipped their date to see the magic show!"
"Is that bad?" Shauna brought a hand to her chin to highlight her curiosity.
"Well, um, yeah," replied the boy, "unless I've been lied to by every sitcom I've ever watched!"
Shauna pondered the dilemma carefully. "Well, what if we don't tell her about the magic show?"
Tierno was so dumbfounded by such a plausible suggestion that he stared in surprise for at least five second, eyes widened and mouth agape, before returning to his senses.
"Shauna, you're a genius! But, um, I was supposed to grab some tea one town over, so could you go to Serena's house and not tell her? Thanks!"
As the boy in the black shirt walked off to Aquacorde Town, Shauna sighed, and turned to her Pokémon.
"Yeah, I know, Goomers… They're crazy, but they're my bestest BFFs forever. I can't let them down!"

Clemont led Calem to the rustic Route 16, a calm and plain path east of Lumiose City. The boy thought the decision somewhat odd, as he had never seen a single Inkay in that area in the past. Just when he was considering whether to bring this matter up, Clemont proceeded to put together yet another device that came from his trusty white backpack.
"Now I know that you can't normally find Inkay in this area," explained the blond boy, "but if I adjust the frequency on my Pokémon signal emitter, then they should come flocking in, attracted by the sound!" Clemont then fiddled around with the various dials on the box-shaped device, until an eerie tone resonated from the contraption, making Calem's ears tingle a little.
"Sorry about all this noise, but it'd take us all day to walk to Inkay's natural habitat and back! I'm not so keen on long walks, you know…" Clemont continued to finely turn at the small knobs, until the ringing noise was dimmed down into a subtle hum-like drone.
The glasses-wearing boy then laughed in triumph, the first phase of his operation proving successful. "Marvelous, it's all going as planned!" He turned to the smaller boy. "Now, I need you to keep your eyes peeled, while I keep the signal under control… Normally I'd get Bonnie to help me out with this kind of stuff, but I guess she's gotten bored of it. Sisters, right?" The humor was lost on Calem, being an only-child.
Surely enough, within the next ten minutes Calem and Clemont spotted something floating about in the distance; a group of blue, tentacled Pokémon with pale white caps dotted with blinking lights, which were gradually approaching, drawn in by the signal.
"Ah, here they come!" Clemont announced. "Get your Pokémon ready!"
If there was one thing that Calem boasted a surprising degree of proficiency in, it was Pokémon battling; it just about came natural for him to reach into his pocket and throw out the first Poké Ball that his fingers found.
Just a second too late did Calem realize that he was summoning one of Trevor's Pokémon and not his own.
