Chapter 6
Simba growled as the Kovu and Nala held him back. In one swift move, Nala had him pinned, just like when they were cubs. But it wasn't playful this time.
"SIMBA!" Nala growled. "What are you thinking, attacking Jabari like that? You could have killed him!"
Simba tried and failed to shove Nala off of him. "He. . . brought. . . Outlander. . ." he said, panting.
"Simba. You have to stop doing this. He's just a cub. My cub. He didn't mean any harm." Kovu said gently.
Radi sat quietly, licking a paw. He looked up. "Ahem," he cleared his throat. "I've come to warn you.
"One of your lionesses has been disloyal. She has rounded up a group of rogue lions and hyenas. They have set up camp in the Elephant graveyard. She has been working since after Zira's death, and her 'pride' is become quite large." Radi said.
Simba pushed Nala off of him sitting up. "How are we to trust yo-'
Kovu cut him off. "Yes?"
Radi dipped his head.
"The lions are old followers of Zira, and their kin. They want vengeance on the entire Pridelands.
"And how do you know this?" Kovu asked.
"Does it matter?" Radi growled. "This pride plans to attack Pride Rock on the night of the full moon. Tomorrow. But I want to warn you of even more grave news; they are planning to kill you, the Queen Kiara, and your cubs. Except for Jabari. They have. . . bigger plans for him, I'm sorry to say."
"What? What plans do they have for my son? They will not harm a hair on his head!" Kovu growled.
"They will raise him to be like Scar. They will make him their king."
Simba pushed Kovu out of his way, stalking up to Radi. "And how," he snarled. "Do you know all of this?"
"If you want to know so badly. . ." Radi hissed at the old lion. "Then I'll tell you. But you may not like it."
"Tell me, or I kill you." Simba growled.
"I," the ROGUE SAID. "Am King Radi, of the new Outlanders. And Kovu. . . I am your father."
