Steve paced back and forth outside of Mia's apartment less than an hour later; he was dressed in white button shirt and suit jacket in black and black dress pants. He paused a moment before knocking on her apartment door. She answered the door. His heart nearly stopped in his chest. She was breathtaking. The dress hugged her body like a glove making the desire in his body skyrocketed. She was dressed in light mint color dress and lace jacket and white strappy heels.

"Beautiful"

"You are not bad yourself."

Mia let out a little giggle. Steve smile offer her his arm as she link arms with him; letting out a content sigh.

Steve and Mia were outside Sardi's. Mia looked at Steve shaking her head and placed her hand on his chest. Steve looked down at her with concerned look. He put his arm around her and centered his attention on her. He had noticed an increase number of photographs being taken of him with Mia but right now she was his main concern he kissed her forehead his hands resting on her shoulders. Her expressive eyes looked up at with concern and disbelief.

"Honey?"

"Steve, really?"

"Yes, really. You said you wanted to eat here and beside nothing is too out of reach for my girl"

"You are too good to be true you know that right?"

Steve laughed and kissed her forehead again as she teased him smiling a playful smile. Mia shook her head as she let him led them inside.

Steve and Mia sat across from each other look at the menu before looking across from them to each other. She ran her tongue across her bottom lip and then bit it slightly as she looked at him. His hand reached across the table removing her lip from her teeth and ran his hand along her jaw.

"I...I think I'm going to get the pork chop"

Mia looked down at the menu again. Steve smiled at her reaching across the table and started to rub her hand. She smiled at him turned her hand to interlace their fingers; with her other hand started to play with her necklace. Steve's eyes landed on the necklace for the first time this day; with his other hand he reached across the table and touched the pendant.

"It's beautiful. Tony got for you right?" Steve asked.

Mia shook her head no. Steve's mind started to race of all the possibilities; as he dropped then pendant. She brought her hand to his face when noticed the serious look on his face. His eyes met her eyes as she gave him a little smile.

"They are from my dad." Mia started. She looked down; tears started to well up in her eyes. Steve squeezed their join hand which caused her to look at him. "They were the last thing he gave me before he died. The chain I believe is made from the same metal that your shield is made out of. at least that what he told me."

"They are beautiful just like you."

"Thank you"

Mia started to blush.

When it came time for dessert Mia ordered the chocolate mousse while he got the cheesecake. They were making eyes at each other. She took a bit of her mousse and nearly moaned how good it was. Steve looked at her.

"Is it good?" Steve teased.

"Very good you have to try it." Mia said.

She took her spoon and got some it on her spoon before reaching across the table to feed him. He took the spoon and ate the spoonful of the mousse as he nodded his head.

"You are right it go but I have something even better"

"Oh really"

Steve leaned across the table and kissed her softly. She closed her eyes and leaned into the kiss hopefully showing all her feeling for him in the kiss as Steve did the same. They pulled away breathless. The stars were shining in her eyes as she smiled. He smiled at her before kissing softly again.

"The musical will be starting soon."

"We should get going then" Mia said excited.

Steve quickly paid the bill before putting his arm around her and walked down the street toward the theater.

Later, the doors of the elevator opened to Tony's penthouse. That caused Tony to turn to look who was there; Blue was asleep on his bed that Tony bought for him to in his penthouse. His eyes went wide when saw Natasha. She walked over to him grabbing the remote from his hands turning to CNN.

"Hey"

"You are going want to see this" Natasha said.

"What?" Tony asked

That was when the News came back on from commercials. Mia face was plaster on the screen along with a recent picture of Tony. His eyes went wide and shook his head in denial.

"We returned to breaking news stories. It turns out that Tony Stark may not be the sole heir to Howard Stark's fortune. Howard Stark has a daughter her name according to report is Margaret Stark. She runs a fashion design business that has design many of Pepper Potts's outfits for events…" The reporter said.

Tony flipped through all the news channels and quickly realized that it was on every news channel. It was even on E! News and Entertainment Tonight. He brought his hands up his face and let out a deep set sigh.

"Thanks Nat"

Natasha turned and left the room as Tony rose from his spot of the sofa which cause Blue to lift his head.

"Jarvis!"

"Yes sir"

"Get me Happy up here now"

"Right away sir

A few minutes later Happy entered the penthouse. He was dress in casual clothes.

"What can I do for you?"

"I want you to get down to the Majestic Theater and get Magpie and Capsicle back here as soon as they get out of that, that damn musical."

"Isn't it a date sir?"

"Her face is plastered all over the news Happy."

Happy eyes went wide then instantly turned and started to head out of the penthouse. Blue walked over to Tony and let out a little whine. Tony picked him up and started to rub his ears.

"Don't worry Blue I will take care of your mom."

Steve and Mia walked out of the theater. Mia was on cloud nine snuggled into Steve side. He had his arm protectively around her. The musical was not as bad as Tony made it out to be; yes some of the music was not his taste but to see the look on Mia face that was on there now he would do anything. Steve stopped and pulled her near a alcove in the street. She looked at him with innocent look.

"Mia, I want to tell you this for a while now…" Steve paused for a moment. "Mia, I lo…"

Steve started but never got the chance to finish. Camera flashes started to go off like crazy. There was ton of paparazzi; tell where all yelling both their names. Her eyes went wide and froze looking up at Steve then at paparazzi. He wrapped his arm protectively around her and shielding her from then as they started to push his way through them. They were nearly through them when Happy yelled out.

"Mia, Cap come on"

Steve led her over to car getting her inside then following. Mia had not said a single word since then. He was starting to worry. Her eyes had tears falling down her face. Steve just hugged her close. Her life as she knew it was over.
