Chapter Three: The Conference Room

"He sounds upset." Beast Boy said to Raven, letting her go and getting out of bed where they were cuddling.

"Yeah this isn't going to be good." Raven replied.

Both Raven and Beast Boy walk together down the hall to the conference room, to meet up with Robin. Beast Boy suddenly stopped walking a few feet shy of the door.

"Why did you stop?" Raven turned and asked him.

"Before we go in there I want to say something." He looked up smiling at her. Clasping her hand, Beast Boy pulled Raven close and planted a soft kiss on her lips. "I will always be by your side. I love you and I will be with you forever, and there is nothing that Robin can say that will keep me from you."

Raven allowed a small tear escape her left eye and hugged him. Beast Boy then got down on his knees and planted a soft kiss on her abdomen and said with a big smile, "we're going to be parents."

After their touching moment they entered the conference room to find Robin sitting in his usual seat at the circular table. He looked at both Beast Boy and Raven with irritation and beckoned for them to sit down.

"Cyborg told me what's been going on and I want it to stop. I know with it just being the 5 of us it is easy to develop feelings for someone that you see and are close with every day. But we are the Teen Titan's. Protectors of the city. Heroes that dispel evil…" Robin started to trail on with his usual speech about good versus evil.

"Here he goes again." Beast Boy muttered making Raven giggle.

"This is serious Beast Boy, we are a team and we have to make smart decisions." Robin said abruptly. He didn't like being interrupted.

"Is banging Starfire a smart team decision?" Beast Boy said followed with a loud laugh. Raven didn't laugh but she smiled from ear to ear.

Robin's face went beet red and his palms started to sweat. "You have no proof of that and besides we are just friends." He stammered out.

"Yeah friends with benefits." Beast Boy now laughing at Robin's red face.

"This isn't about me. Cyborg said you guys were getting close and I want to remind you of our no dating colleague's policy." Robin said trying to maintain leadership of the meeting.

"We know the policy Robin. Can we go? Beast Boy and I are colleagues. We wouldn't be close because he's a pig and I'm not interested in pigs." Raven said blankly in her usual dry tone.

"Okay Raven but I'm keeping my eye on you two." Robin said narrowing his eyes and leaving the room.

When Robin had left, Beast Boy turned to Raven and asked, "Do you really think I'm a pig?"

"Yes, but you are my pig. We have to be careful around Robin. It seems Cyborg was able to keep Robin in the dark with all that's happened. That will give us time to sort things out." Raven stated

"Yeah and we have a significant amount of time before you start showing to work things out as well." Beast Boy replied.

"Not necessarily, my kind has accelerated pregnancies. A traditional pregnancy is 9 months while ours is 5 months. I'm already 1 month along and will be starting to show in the next few weeks." Said Raven.

"Hummmm I don't understand." Scratching his head. Beast Boy was clearly confused.

"Put it this way, you will be a dad in 4 months." Raven said slightly irritated at how simple minded Beast Boy could be.

"4 months! That's like 4 months away!" Beast Boy said startled. "What are we going to do?"

"What do you want to do" Raven asked looking into his eyes.

"I want to keep it and I think we should tell Robin. Like you said you we won't be able to hide this for very long." Hey said placing a hand on her abdomen and smiling. "When should we tell him?"

"I'll tell him." Raven stated standing up.

"Not now. I want to enjoy this for as long as we can before we hear him freaking out." Beast Boy said smiling is signature smile.

"Okay I can agree to that." Raven said smiling. Beast Boy always knew how to make her smile.

Down the hall Robin approached Starfire's room and knocked.

*Knock Knock Knock*

"Enter" said a cheerful voice.

Robin opened the door stepped in and closed it and watched Starfire brush her hair in the mirror. She turned around and smiled. "Hello Robin, what brings you here? Are we going to be making of the love again?"

"No no Star I'm not in the mood. I think Beast Boy and Raven are more than friends." Robin said suspiciously.

"Nonsense, they are just colleagues. Raven is much too boring for the Beast Boy." Starfire said smiling

"Yeah maybe your right. Just something doesn't feel right." Robin said turning to leave.

"Where are you going?" asked Starfire.

"To go train. We can't keep having meetings Starfire. The others are getting suspicious." Robin said leaving the room.

* 1 MONTH LATER*

Surprisingly Robin had been oblivious to Raven spending more time in her room then usual but Robin wasn't the guy to question Raven's activities. He didn't like making her angry. Since he stopped having "meetings" in the Titan Tower with Starfire he had been volunteering himself and Starfire on missions and would spend the whole day "fighting evil".

"Do you need anything babe?" Beast said to Raven as they cuddled in Raven's room.

"No I have everything I need." She said smiling.

Raven's pregnancy had made her more cheerful and happy. Instead of snapping harsh mood swings she had happy and cheerful mood swings, but that didn't mean she couldn't angry. After taking a deep breathe, Raven got out of bed and headed to the door.

"Where are you going?" Beast Boy asked.

"I'm hungry and I want a snack." She replied.

"But babe….your belly….." he stated. Although Raven was cheerful he was always cautious about what he said in hopes to not set her off and make her angry. It had been an easy pregnancy without any bad mood swings but he didn't want to start one.

"It's fine Starfire and Robin are not here. Remember they went on that mission to fight Gizmo." She said looking down placing her hand on her protruding stomach. Even though it had been only four weeks since Beast Boy found out Raven was pregnant, her belly had grown quite a bit. Beast Boy got up as well and decided he would grab a snack too. Ever since he found out he was going to be a father he became very protective of Raven and their unborn child and followed her everywhere.

Raven opened the fridge pulled out some meats, cheese, and veggies and maked a large 24in sandwich. She cut it into 3 parts giving a part to Beast Boy and Cyborg. All three sat at the table, ate there sandwiches and laughed for a couple hours while Robin and Starfire were away.

"Hey Raven is it okay if I steal Beasty to play some video games?" Cyborg said in his loud cheerful voice.

"Uhh sure I need to take a nap anyway." Raven said proceeding to the couch to lie down.

"YYAAAAYYY!" Screamed both Cyborg and Beast Boy as Beast Boy turned into an alpaca.

"Dude, why are you an Alpaca?" laughed Cyborg.

"I don't know!" laughed Beast Boy. As he ran down the hall to beat Cyborg to his room.

It was finally quiet for Raven to nap as the boys were locked away in Cyborgs room playing video games. She wasn't concerned about Robin and Starfire coming back as they always seemed to take a long time on missions. Raven smiled as she drifted off to sleep with one hand placed on her belly.

Raven had napped for about 2 hours when she was stirred from her dreams by feeling a hand touch her stomach. It was warm and gentle and she knew it was Beast Boy's hand. He would always try to feel for the baby when she was napping.

"Stop or you're going to wake the baby up, Beast Boy. I'm still not done with my nap." She said smiling as she opened her eyes.

Her smile immediately disappeared as she looked at the man touching her stomach. His face was full of anger and his eyes were piercing her right into her soul. It was Robin and he was not happy.
