Chapter 26

Edward tilts his head as he crawls through the interviewer's window. He raises a brow at the black high heels upon the desk. He lights a smoke and shakes his head. Edward takes a drag and pinches the bridge of his nose.

"Get dressed! You're making my dick want to crawl under something and die!"

Her jaw drops. He wrinkles his nose looking completely nauseas.

"What the fuck were you thinking?" He barks furiously.

"I swear you haven't changed a bit!"

She shakes her head and quickly comes to her feet. Edward appears before her and slams her back against the wall.

"You want my affections?!"

He looks her in the eyes reading her thoughts. He starts to laugh.

"You honestly thought I was telling you about my sex life; in hopes of seducing you?! If I wanted you I'd have had you already! Lord knows I've had the option. This... All this has nothing to do with you. IT'S FOR HER!"

The interviewer shrieks out as Edward plunges his fangs into her neck.

"That's what you wanted right?" He fires once he's done feeding.

"Was it everything you hoped for? That fantasy notion you've had playing in your head about us?"

She grabs her throat as he slams her down in the chair. He tosses her robe over.

"That will never happen again! Do we have an understanding?! Better yet do you have any fucking morals?"

He snaps a look her direction.

"No I will not be healing you. Put a band aid or something on it you'll be fine. Now can we move on from this nonsense?"

She nods tears streaming down her face.

"Very well, I shall begin…"

A week has passed now. Bree's adapting wonderfully. There hadn't been anymore issues. Naturally, she still has her moments. That just comes with the territory of being a newborn. I must admit Jasper's worked wonders with her. I personally, haven't had to deal with her since that one day. She's also more confident. Not only that, but she gets along perfectly with Alice and Bella. She's mostly partial to Bella. She finds her captivating. She couldn't believe often enough that Bella's willingly not only friends with vampires, but dating one.

The girls were off in the corner of the living room laughing about something. Jasper and Emmett had gone to feed.

"Alice?!" Bella says alarmed.

I look up from smoking my cigarette.

"Alice… what's wrong?"

"They're coming!"

I narrow my eyes and put out my cigarette.

"Who's coming Alice?"

"The Volturi…"
"Now?"
She nods.

"How much time Alice?"

"Not much. I'm sorry Edward. I didn't see it. They changed their course. They were in Seattle when they changed their mind. It won't be long now!"

She looks to Bree.

"They're here for her…"

Bree looks to me slightly panicked.

"Who are the Volturi?"

I looked directly upon Bella.

"I need to get you home now."

"But…"

I grab her arm and start to drag her towards the car. I get Bella inside and shut the door. I freeze though as I already made out one of them through the corner of my eye. I slowly turn. Purposely, I lean against the doorway blocking Bella. I twirl the keys in my hand.

"Going somewhere?" The short blonde by the name of Jane questions.

Often enough my name for her was BRAT. It was no secret that she was one of Aro's favorites. Her brother Alec who's nothing, but a little shit. Then you had Felix the all brawn, but no brain of the group. Demetri who was one hell of a tracker. I understood how they skipped through Alice's visions. Demetri was very witty and sly when it came to trickery. They knew we'd be expecting them. Only Alice was right. They were not here about the rule in which I'd broken. They were here for Bree Tanner. Jane looked directly upon her with a menacing gaze. Alice protectively wrapped her arm around Bree. I motioned the girls towards me.

"What is this?" Jane questions in that soft childlike tone of hers.

"She is one of mine now."

She tilts her head in confusion.

"Yours?"

I nod. She looks around.

"Where is Carlisle?"

"He's no longer of the coven."

The four of them look upon me in disbelief.

"Did he parish?"

"No Jane."

"Then how is that possible?"

"I have taken over as master of this coven."
"That is not possible."

"On the contrariety…"

"Are you getting smart with me Edward?"

"No just honest."

"Hmm."

She looks upon Bree.

"The girl cannot be yours. She is the one we've come to collect. It seems she's committed a crime. She's exposed us all."
"And a crime was also committed amongst her as she had no master in which to guide her! She wasn't aware of the rules nor the consequences Jane. She was merely left to fend for herself. To teach herself the ways of vampirism."

"That is a sad story indeed. Nonetheless that is not the Volturi's problem now is it?"

I shake my head.

"I will take full responsibility."

"You'd take full responsibility for this vampire's crimes?"

"Not for her crimes Jane, but in her care. You've my word she will not act out again. She is under my control now. Bree will not dishonor me."

Alec keeps darting his eyes towards the car. The four of them breathe in the air. Jane smiles.

"Edward… Please introduce us to your friend."
She motions towards the car.

"She's not a part of this Jane."

"Open the door Edward."

"Jane…" I hiss.

She shrugs "very well." She looks to Bree and she drops to her knees; shrieking out in pain.

"That's enough Jane!"

She cocks a brow and Alice drops down as well.

"You will leave my coven be!" I rush to the girls' sides and help them to their feet.

I growl out as Alec's already at the car opening the door. He smiles and offers Bella a hand.

Bella cuts me an apologetic glance. She's not the one however, that should be I apologizing to her! Alec automatically closes his eyes breathing her in.

"She's to be my bride Alec!" I warn already reading him.

His fangs pop out as he nuzzles her neck. Bella looks upon me in panic.

"You cannot feed from her Alec SHE'S MINE!"

I turn towards Alice and Bree.

"Go on inside now Alice and Bree."

"Edward." Alice goes to argue.

"THAT'S AN ORDER BOTH OF YOU! NOW!"

"Not that one." Jane points to Bree.

"SHE IS OF MY COVEN YOU CANNOT HAVE HER! EACH OF THEM BELONG TO ME!"

I quickly apprehend Bella. I look her in the eyes.

"You are to go inside. No matter what you hear or see. You will not leave the house until you're told." She nods and I kiss her forehead out of slight fear that might be all I ever get to do again.

"You dare to stand against me?!"

"I stand against anyone that wishes a member of my coven harm."

"You've been a very naughty vampire Edward. I never knew you were one to break the rules. Seems to be your thing as of late. Perhaps you're right. Maybe it is you we should be taking in instead."

She walks over towards me. Jane cups my chin and I recoil.

"Always the most attractive of the Cullen's I must say. And now you've managed to take over Carlisle's position as master. How intriguing. It seems Aro has much to learn once we return."
She drops her hand and paces the area a bit.

"We are to arrive again in less than a couple months. You say the human will be turned by then?"

I nod.

"It is by Aro's order I'm not to deal in your punishment over the human or the murder of your own kind in which you've been reported for. He wishes to take matters into his own hands on the situation. However… He did not state in any shape or form that I could not take matters into my own hands when it comes to the newborn. She caused quite a ruckus. As you know we do not wish to be exposed. I have no choice, but to take her life."
"I've already told you the circumstances. The newborn now belongs to me. Such as the human she too is MINE! You cannot have either. I'm sorry to disappoint you in your journey. Nonetheless, yes it seems you were not needed after all. I've taken care of the issue. The newborn is now tame. So there is no longer a threat."

"Do you still stand by your word?"

"My word?"

"To take full responsibility of course."

"Yes…" I know that I'm about to feel the worst kind of pain imaginable…

"Very well. If you're willing to take the punishment for that of the newborn. Then I shall let the proceedings begin. This will hurt…" She says with a demonic smile.

Suddenly, I feel the bones to my arms and legs snapping. I fall to the ground in complete and absolute agony. The worst kind of physical pain I'd ever felt in my entire existence. She doesn't stop from there. Afterword it begins to feel as though I was burning alive. Much like the way it feels when you're first turned. What made matters worse… Even through my own cries of pain I could hear Bella screaming on top of her lungs.

"Next time you will not stand against our orders. This Bree shall live… for now. Aro could very well change his mind. I do hope you'll be better prepared for our visit next time."

They go to leave only Felix has to make certain he gets his two cents in as well. He yanks me up off the ground and tosses me into the air like a damn football. He chuckles as I land on my already broken bones. I gasp for a breath and just lay there. There was nothing I could do. At that point I was literally defenseless.

The girls couldn't leave the house without my consent. The guys were still gone. So I continued to lay there. I could hear Bella crying. I couldn't even muster any words of encouragement. I was just thankful to be able to read into Alice and Bree's mind. They were consoling one another, but mainly Bella. The poor girl was having a complete and utter meltdown. Alice had forced her away from the window and her and Bree fought together to keep her on the couch.

I lay there for half an hour. I still hadn't even begun to truly heal. I just accepted the pain and stared into the sky.

"Edward?!"

I hear Jasper and shut my eyes in relief.

"Shit!"
He picks me up and I hear Emmett come up behind us.

"What the hell happened?!"

Through Jasper's ability he was feeling my pain as well. He growled under his breath with each step he took towards the cabin. Jasper rushes me into the bedroom and laying me down. Bella damn near knocks the two down trying to get to me. She sits beside me and puts her wrist upon my mouth. I shake my head fearful I'd drain her to the last drop. That's how fucking hungry I was and I was desperate to make the pain go away. The more blood I had the faster I could heal.

"Dammit Edward feed!"

I shut my eyes in torment. Her warmth pressed up against my lips. I could already smell the sweet nectar within. Not only that, but I could feel the pulsating of her veins against me.

"Edward please!"

She then does something I'd never known any human to do. She brings back her wrist and she herself bites down on it. Bella's eyes watered and she whimpered out in pain as she pierced her own teeth into her flesh. Each coven member looked upon her mystified.

Bella forced my mouth open and my eyes rolled back. That wonderful nectar ran down my throat. From there I began to drink. Bella had never tasted so good. It was like spending days out in the desert with nothing to drink. Then you suddenly find yourself at a spring of nice cool water. With her free hand she ran her fingers through my hair. I kept my eyes locked on hers. Soon she'd show signs of faint. I prayed I'd have the strength to stop. Her heart rate had begun to slow down. Bella's skin went pasty. Jasper cut me a look of alarm. He shook his head and yanked her back. Emmett braced her against him.

"Stay with us Bella."

She nodded as he checked her over. I desperately wanted to say something to her. Anything to help her to feel better about the situation. To let her know I was going to be fine. Still even through her blood I was too weak to talk just yet. Instead I shut my eyes. I allowed myself to fall into a slumber knowing it was the only way to pass the time for now.

And for the first time ever in my vampire existence; I dreamed. Only difference was I wasn't so sure if they were my dreams… or Bella Swan's. Maybe a hint of both…

"Edward!"

She giggled as I tossed the book she was reading out from her hand. I bent down and kissed her lips.

"I was reading that."

I shrug and continue to kiss along her neck and shoulders. She was lying on a black leather sofa. In a white spring dress with baby's breath flower print on it. The sun was cascading about the room we were in. Thus, was only adding to her beauty. She bit her lower lip driving me mad with lust as always.

I overlap her on the couch and work my way down with the kisses. Only as I work my way from her breast I get to her torso. Only it's not nice and flat. It's nice and round. I kiss upon it as well and run my hands along it. I even lift up her dress and put my ear to it. She giggles again.

"Edward that tickles. That and you're only going to wake him! It's bad enough he kicks me all night long."

I smile and kiss her bare tummy.

"He?"

She nods confidently.

"And you're so sure it's a boy sweetheart?"

She nods with a smirk about her face.

"Hmm…"

I pull her dress up even more.

It was just a dream and I knew that. But if there was one thing I knew. A naked and pregnant Isabella Swan was very sexy. This dream had me completely over the edge in lust and other longings. Desires in which things I knew I could never have. All the more reason I found myself never wanting to leave this illusion.

She lay naked before me. Her long dark locks flowed about her shoulders freely. Her breasts were fuller than usual. Her body curvier even her round little belly was fucking sexy as hell. Knowing that was my creation! My child in there... Something I knew to be unrealistic. I slid off her panties and gave her sex a good licking. I then undid my jeans. I couldn't get over how alluring she was. I placed myself inside her and began to make love to her.

In the dream it even felt different than usual. We took our time. Only when I woke I realized it wasn't fully just a dream. Bella and I were actually making love. A certain urgency came about me as I looked upon her the dream continued to taunt me. I found myself craving her more than ever. She was on top of me looking like a goddess. I rolled her over. I began kissing her fanatically. I ached so badly below it damn near hurt. This strange urgency came over me. I looked into her eyes as I continued to move about her. Her hands ran along my chest.

"I want it all! Everything Bella." I said with a growl and I fucking meant it.

I wanted the whole package when it came to her. I wanted the dream. Even I knew though it weren't feasible. That's all it was though a dream… what I wouldn't give for it to be real. I never thought I'd truly feel that way. I'd been a vampire for so long. I'd just accepted my fate. I knew what was to come of it. Bella however, was beginning to change the way I looked upon things. She made me crave even more for us. What man actually WISHES he could knock up his high school sweetheart? One that's been alone for over a century. One that knows damn well what it's like to watch everyone around you live while you continue to feel as though you're dying. We do not give ourselves the same goals that humans do. Sure in some aspects we could more than likely achieve such things. However, the full experience? That's something we could never ever have. What I wouldn't give to have a normal existence with Bella. To know I truly could give her everything she deserves.

Now what I said next; I didn't expect to come from my very lips. I felt it and couldn't control it. I looked her in the eyes feeling myself about to release. A full on request left my lips. Little was I aware I was actually compelling my bride to be. Only I swore as I was this was coming from Bella. In fact the demand ran awfully close in words I'd once said to her before. Let they flowed right out of my mouth.

"You're ready. I want to give you everything we've ever wanted Bella. I want to make sure this is the life you want. I want you to love and receive love in return, with complete openness. I will fight to give you everything you've ever wanted. What we both want. Now allow your body to give us that in which we desire." I looked her in the eyes and kissed her lips.

I felt myself let go and it was the best thing I'd ever felt. I truly thought I'd die in sensory overload. I kept coming. The climax itself was so intense that when I pulled out of her. I still had some dripping out of not only her, but myself as well.

I just wasn't fully aware of what had truly taken place…
