Thunder: I'm sure they are.

Shade: Maybe. Or all died.

Me: Shade! Anyway, sorry for the very late update you guys. This chapter would've been up sooner, but my computer's been down with all the snow we've got, and I finally got internet again.

Thunder: Yep. Don't worry. They understand.

Me: Right.. Anyway, Merry (late) Christmas, and Happy New Year everyone! Now, do we have any reviews?

Crazy-Horse: I know you're not flaming, at least, I hope not! XD. As I said before, I haven't read that story, and I'll gladly go back and change things that are needed. The Space Chicken... The only way to bring him back would be as a ghost, since Courage did sort of kill him in the show. XD. The journal thing my friend thought of that part. It made sense, so I used it. Courage didn't disappear, he was still out and about helping people, no one just spoke of him. Sapphire being good instead of evil, well I can't have ALL of Courage's old enemies' kids to be evil, not can I? Well, I can, but, I gotta have some good. XD. The two-tailed sidekick thing.. I have a thing or giving animals two or more tails. I was going to go with a fox, but then that would be a bit too much like Sonic, so I went with a cat, as they are one of my favorite animals. XD. As I said before, I'll go back and change things if I need to. I don't want to get in trouble or anything. And thank you for the review. It means a lot.

I do not see myself as a very good writer. A very bad one at that. You should see how I use to write back in the day, chapters short as hell, and people always bitched about it. Could I help it? No. I wasn't good with detail and all that, and I'm still not. But I keep working at it and I'm starting to get better at it. At least, I sure hope so! XD. Chapter 6: Cajun Puppy Stew part 1

"It's finally Decmeber!" Maple cheered happily.

"What's so great about that?" Coward asked.

"It's the time of the year that we get two weeks off of no school, and, there's snow days, and no school when we get a lot of it, and—!"

"We get the idea," Mint grumbled from where he was laying under the warm covers on the ten year old's bed.

Sulo was watching from where he was standing on the small brown pole in his bird cage. "He doesn't lie winter that much."

"We can tell. How come?" Maple asked.

"It's cold and frozen water!"

"Good point…"

"A very good point," the kitten muttered, ducking back under the nice warm covers to sleep some more.

Coward shook his head, laughing a bit at his older friend. "I can't wait to see snow! It'll be my first ever."

Maple nodded. "One of many. I have a feeling you'll like snow."

"I hope so."

"You will!"

The next day, Maple and Kyle were heading off to school, and as always, Coward was following them. He refused to let them go there alone do to the fact that Katz and Le Quack were there, and there was no telling what they could do to his owners.

"It sure is cold out though.." he muttered to himself.

Last night it had snowed, leaving the world covered in bright white snow. The two month old puppy had been a bit too happy to see his first snow, and ran right out the door, and slipped on some ice, landing onto his back with a painful yelp. Now he knew to be more careful when it came to snow and ice, and he had to have learned it the hard way. He back still ached, but it wasn't as bad as when he first fell.

"I have this feeling.." Coward spoke to no one, such as Courage had years ago. "…that something bad is going to happen. Or my name's Stinky Lulu, and it's not!"

Little did he know, he was right about that. Something bad was going to happen. And very, very soon.

The school day flew by without much of a problem. Maple had snuck her puppy in by dressing him up in a black hat, and shirt and pants to match. No one but herself, her friends, and Kyle knew that Coward was well, a dog. Not even Katz or Le Quack figured it out, but the puppy was a little scared that they would, and he'd be in trouble. Or worse. Luckily for him, that never happened, and the day went on as normal.

Now, they were heading back home, talking about the odd school day and laughing about it.

"Man, I can't believe that either of them figured it out!" Maple laughed.

Coward chuckled. "Yeah. Though, it was pretty scary.. I thought for sure I was gonna get caught by them. My heart was racing so fast, and I was shaking like a leaf. I was surprised they didn't ask what was wrong with me."

"It's a good thing they didn't. They might have figured it out if they got too close to you," the ten year old pointed out.

The purple puppy nodded. "Yeah, that's true.."

"Though, you really need to stop following me to school," Maple told him. "Mom and Dad don't like it, and Katz and Le Quack are going to find out sooner or later. Then what are you going to do?"

The puppy frowned. He had no idea what he was gonna do if and went they found out that he was a puppy in the school, and not only that, but Courage's son, the son of their worse enemy.. He shivered at the thought of all they could and most likely would do to him.

"If you ask me, the stupid puppy will have it coming to him," Kyle grumbled. "And it will be is own fault too."

Maple hit her older brother on his head. "Shut up, Kyle! He's only trying to protect us from getting hurt!"

He rubbed his head and looked down at his little sister. "Protect us? That puppy's scared of his own shadow! I don't see how he could protect us from anything."

The puppy lowered his ears, and looked at the ground. What Kyle said was true. He was scared of his own shadow, and many other things. But he couldn't help it. He was Courage's son after all.

"He already has," she shot back. "Or have you forgotten?"

"Yeah, whatever," he muttered, and continued walking back to their house. "Stupid puppy. He's been nothing but trouble. Bringing in all sorts of monsters and stuff... We' be better off without him."

Maple sighed as she turned around to face her puppy, who had been silent, and that worried her. The ten year old's eyes widened as she saw tears running down his purple muzzle.

"Oh Coward.." she whispered, pulling him into a hug, and held him closely, as he cried. "It's okay. Don't you listen to my brother, alright? You know what he says isn't true. Not one bit of it is. You're a great dog, never forget that. No matter what others say or think of you. You're been a big help, and I dunno what I'd do without you."

He looked up at her with sad black eyes, yet a smile was forming on his face. "You mean it, Maple?"

"Of course I do."

"Thanks."

"No problem. Now, come on, let's go. Mom and Dad must be worried."

"Alright."

The next morning, Coward awoke to find that he wasn't in Maple's house anymore, but a rather large metal cage. His eyes widened and he let out a small yelp of fear.

Where am I? he thought, looking around.

"At least, I finally have you," a voice spoke from behind him.

Me: -laughs evilly- Hahaha! Cliffhanger!

Thunder: You're so mean! Who took Coward?

Me: You'll have to wait and see next chapter!

Shade: The title gives it away. People will be able to tell easily, who took him.

Me: ..Meh. Must you kill my fun?

Shade: Yes.

Me: Mean!

Shade: I know.

Me: Anyway, time to end this little chapter here. See you guys next time! Bye!
