I don't own the Wardstone Chronicles. Or Percy Jackson & the Olympians. Those who own them are Rick Riordan and Joseph Delaney. Not me. Nope. Enjoy!

Lamia was really nervous. For some reason the fact that she was about to talk with Zeus in his own house made her very nervous. Maybe because that was where he lived with his wife, and her nemesis, Hera.

She didn't know what she would see. He had never taken her to Olympus, always making up excuses why he couldn't. She hadn't asked him to bring her to Olympus of course. At first, she hadn't even known he was Zeus, so she didn't know he lived on Olympus either. She had just asked him to show her his house, because he had told her that the house where they had met was only a temporary resident. So she had been curious to his real house, but he had made up excuses why he couldn't take her.

Because it was being rebuilt and it would be dangerous. Because he had an appointment and didn't have time for it. Excuses like that. Excuses that made her wonder why he didn't want to take her. Because that he didn't want to, was obvious.

She had already been suspicious. Lamia had been a lot of things back then, mainly naive and compliant, but she had never been stupid. When he kept refusing her to show his house and tell her some things, like how his eyes changed colors - first sky blue, then bluish black, she had already suspected something was wrong. That he was hiding something from her. And she had been proven right.

He had intentionelly kept things from her. A big part of his life, of the person he was, had been unknown to her. Like the fact that he was a god. His real identity. His wife. All sort of things.

She had felt horrible when she had discovered all the things he hadn't told her. She had been mad, confused and sad.

Mad at him, but also at herself. She had always been proud that she was smart, but also careful and thought before she did things. She had been proud that men couldn't get to her, that she didn't turn into some lovesick idiot.

And then she had met Zeus. She had slept with him barely an hour after they had met and had felt really ashamed. And even more when she noticed something was wrong and he still got her to sleep with him. It was unlike her, but she hadn't been able to resist him. He had been attractive and sweet and she had given in every time. Again and again.

And she had hated herself for being so easy when she had discovered who he was. She had yelled at him and sworn it was over.

{ Flashback} ( A/N;Yes, I am doing a lot of those. There is just not much mentioned about Lamia and Zeus in the book and her relationship with John. Just filling some blanks)

Lamia sighed happily, content with the place she was. That place being in bed with Jupiter ( A/N Jupiter is Zeus. She still thinks his name is Jupiter and doesn't know that he is a god and everything) , snuggled up against him.

She had her arms around his shoulder, this allowed her to lay as close to him as possible. She loved the feeling of his naked skin against hers. It made her feel very comfortable.

Even just laying in bed, not really doing anything, made her happier than she had felt in years. Normally, she couldn't really relax. She had so much to worry about. She had to take care of her subjects, make sure everything was fine, talk to her advisors, attend her magic lessons, learn everything a queen had to know.. The list was endless.

Lamia had never any real free time. She enjoyed the magic lessons, but even that was work. Her teachers wouldn't let her rest until she could it. It was very exhausting. So when she finally was free, all she wanted to do was sleep. And the next day it would start again.

Being queen and at the same time learning magic, which was a lot of work too, was very stressful and exhausting. And that was the reason Lamia enjoyed being in bed with Jupiter even more.

Not just the part were they were kissing, touching and giving and receiving pleasure, but just laying close to him. Having another warm body close to hers. Enjoy the feelings of content and safety.

Lamia sighed again, pressing herself against Jupiter. He grunted and opened his eyes. He looked really sleepy, his blue eyes glazed.

Yawning, he turned and kissed her on her mouth. " Hi beautiful. How are you?".

Lamia smiled and kisssed him back, laying her head on his shoulder and closing her eyes. Their earlier activities had made her quite tired. Which wasn't a miracle, since they had been doing that for hours and she still wasn't really experienced.

Jupiter started stroking her hair and gave her another kiss, this one on the top of her head. Lamia smiled and enjoyed having his warm body next to hers and the feeling of his hands on her back and hair.

" Mmm. What?". Jupiter chuckled. " I asked how you were". " Oh I'm great. A little tired, but that is to be expected. And you?". " I'm amazing. How couldn't I be with such a beautiful, smart and simply enchanting woman in bed with me?".

Lamia smiled. " I don't know. If you weren't allowed to touch her?". Jupiter chuckled. " Why wouldn't I?". "Mmm. Maybe if she was married. Or if you were married" Lamia muttered sleepily, feeling herself drift of to sleep.

Jupiter stopped stroking and Lamia heard his heartbeat fasten. She looked up at him, meeting his eyes. And was struck by the look of guilt and regret she saw in them.

Immediately worried, she pushed herself up. Quite predictable, Jupiter's eyes immediately went to her breasts, which were no longer covered by the blanket.

Lamia didn't mind having a round two, but she wanted to know what bothered him first. So when his hands moved towards her breasts, she stopped him.

He looked up, suprised. She hadn't done that before. She had only urged him to continue, sauvoring the feelings he brought to her. She had always been enthusiastic and insatiable, so he must be stunned she suddenly stopped him.

She smiled. " There is time for that later, I have the entire day and night remember? I just want to know what is bothering you".

Jupiter sighed, he went through his hair with one of his hands. " Why do you believe something is bothering me?".

Lamia shrugged, which brought his eyes back to her breast. He licked his lips, looking at her breasts again. For a grown man with no doubt at least a few other lovers, he was easily aroused. He sometimes acted like she was his first, but Lamia knew that wasn't true. He hadn't told her everything, but Lamia knew he had had other lovers. She had known the first time. He knew thing you could only know when you had had more lovers.

If Lamia was honest, she felt a little disappointed and offended. She wanted to be the only woman in his life. His first and only one. But she was also happy he was experienced. It made him a great lover.

Lamia focused on the man before her, who was still looking at her breasts like they were some sort of godly blessing. Or like he was about to die and her breasts would save him.

Lamia pulled the blanket up, hoping he would focus on her face if he didn't see her breasts anymore. It didn't work.

His hands were on hers in an instant, trying to release the blanket from her grip. " Jupiter! Stop that. I'm serious, I want to know!" Lamia said. She was a little bit annoyed he was being so persistent. She really wanted to know what bothered him first. If he told her, he would be allowed to touch her. Only then.

Jupiter let the blanket go when he noticed her tone. He looked at her and smiled. " I'm sorry love. I wasn't exactly thinking. You make me insatiable, my little succubus".

Lamia laughed softly. She knew what a succubus was. It was a demon or ghost- sources told different stories- that seduced men in the night. " Mm. So you weren't like this before me?" she asked. She was actually curious. She wanted to know as much about him as possible.

He sighed. " I was actually. I have always had a... healthy libido, but you have made it worse. You're just too tempting, too beautiful".

Lamia smiled. She loved the idea she had that sort of power over him. It made her feel less vulnerable. And she did feel vulnerable, doing things like this with a man she didn't know a lot about. " Really? So I have corrupted you? That is weird, because the men before you never managed to get me naked. They didn't even really interest me" she whispered.

Jupiter smiled. " I'm honoured. Does that mean you think I'm interesting?". Lamia nodded. " Of course I think so. And that is another reason I want to know what is bothering you. I want to know as much as possible about you. I want to know you . Please tell me Jupiter, what is bothering you?".

Jupiter sighed, his eyes no longer full of life and happiness. He looked rather depressed.

Lamia lay a hand on his shoulder, worried. He never acted like that. He was always cheerful and relaxed. And eager when they were in bed together, always wanting more. He really was insatiable.

But right now, he looked sad and guilty. Which worried Lamia. What did he have to feel guilty about? " Jupiter? What is wrong? Please tell me" she urged him, hoping he would trust her and tell it.

He looked up , his eyes this time the color of the sky again. Very light blue. " I"m sorry" was the first thing he said.

Lamia bit her lip, nervous and worried at the same time. Maybe she would finally discover his secrets. " Why are you sorry?".

Jupiter sighed again. " Because I have kept things from you. Things I should have told you at the beginning. I just didn't know how to tell you". " You can tell me now". " Yes, but promise me one thing".

Lamia looked at him again. He looked at her with a pleading look, reminding her of a little boy rather than the grown man he was. She would promise him anything. Especially when he looked like that. It might be unwise, but she trusted him.

" What do you want me to promise?". Another sigh. " That you will keep listening untill I have told you. That you will let me explain".

Lamia frowned. That sounded serious. She wasn't sure if she wanted to make a promise like that, but she decided she had to. If she didn't , he would probably not tell her.

She nodded. " I promise. Please tell me". " All right. I have lied to you about certain things. First of all , my name isn't Jupiter. It's Zeus".

Lamia smiled. " Like the god you mean? That is a big honour, that you get to-". " Not like the god. I am the god. I'm Zeus".

Lamia paled. He can't be serious, can he? He can't be Zeus. There is no way Zeus would choose me to- And that would mean he is married. Is this some sort of joke?

Lamia took a deep breath, trying to avoid panic. " You are Zeus. You? I don't want to offend you, but that is impossible. Why on earth would you be here?".

Zeus, or Jupiter- Lamia wasn't convinced yet, raised his eyebrows. " You really don't know? You are really beautiful Lamia. And smart. From the moment I saw you, I had to have you".

" So the bad weather and the mansion and everything, it was all a trap? A way to get me?" Lamia asked, remembering her thoughts the day they had met. She had found the weather suspicious and had had a weird feeling. She should have listened to that feeling. It might have saved her a lot of trouble. But also a lot of fun a voice in the back of her mind said.

Zeus nodded. " Yes. I saw you when I was flying over Lybia. You were in the gardens and I knew I had to have you. I couldn't resist".

Lamia swallowed, hot tears of embarrassement burned behind her eyes, but she didn't show anything. She wouldn't give him the pleasure of seeing her cry. She didn't even want to believe he was Zeus. If he was, she had slept with the husband of a goddess. It would ruin her life and maybe even more important, they could never be together.

All her dreams of a life with him would be only that. Dreams. He was already married. And he would probably not be interest in her for a longer time. He would lose his interest anyway.

Zeus sighed when he saw her look and noticed she tried to get away from him. He grabbed her arms. " Lamia. Please, let me explain. You don't-". " Let me go! You liar. What am I to you, just some toy? Have you even thought about this? You are married! Or you aren't even Zeus, but I have no idea why you would lie about that. And of you weren't, you would already be dead".

Zeus pulled her against him. She tried to get free, but he wouldn't let her go. " You aren't a toy Lamia. I can't help it. I just... I just had to have you. Marrying Hera was a mistake anyway".

Lamia gave up her struggling. For now. She would let him finish. " Really? Why did you want it that bad then?".

Zeus chuckled. " I didn't really want to marry her, I just wanted her. And when she refused me, I wanted her even more. So I tricked her into sleeping with me. Not one of my best ideas".

" You think?" Lamia said sarcastically. Zeus sighed. " I know this must be difficult for you, but-". " But what? You have cheated on your wife with me! And she won't believe I'm innocent, she won't listen when I tell her I didn't know who you were. She will ruin my life. And I- I.. I had hoped we could have a life together, be happy".

" But we can! I promise Lamia, I-". " Oh shut up. It is all fruitless. This is over Jupiter or Zeus or whatever you want me to call you. I'm out of here. You jerk! Using me like that!".

Lamia screamed at him for a few minutes , telling him she never wanted to see his face again, before she regained her common sense and understood it was fruitless. Yelling wouldn't help her. She just had to leave. She had to get away from him.

She escaped Zeus' arms and tried to get out of bed, but Zeus grabbed her again. He pulled her against him, his strong arms imprisoning her. His eyes were blackbluish this time, and they seemed to burn. Maybe they did. He was a god after all. Who knew what he was capable of.

" This isn't over. I'm not willing to let you go Lamia. I want you too much for that". Lamia tried to escape, but his grip tightened. He was just too strong. She couldn't escape.

" Let me go! And I don't care you aren't willing, you can't seriously think this could work. I- Mmm".

Zeus kissed her and Lamia felt surrendered, kissing him back. She struggled at first, but she still couldn't resist him. Soon, she was kissing him back, pushing her more- than- willing body against his.

He was the one to break the kiss, not she. He smiled at her and tenderly wiped away her tears. Tears he had caused.

" Tell me you will stay Lamia. Please". He looked at her, pleading, begging, and Lamia simply couldn't say no. No matter what the prize would be.

She kissed him. " I will stay. I promise" she whispered, laying her head and hearing his heartbeat.

{ Flashback over}

Lamia opened her eyes again, the memory slowing disappearing. Being on Olympus, close to all the gods, brought really all those memories back. Memories she didn't want back. She just wanted to forget. It hurt too much.

She felt something on her shoulder. Artemis' hand. Artemis smiled at her. " Calm down Lamia. We are with you. Nothing will happen, I promise".

Lamia smiled. She still felt nervous, but the presence of Artemis and Athena helped. It made her feel stronger. Safe.

" Thank you. I appreciate that". " It is only prevalent for friends to support you" Athena said.

Lamia smiled at her. " I'm still thankful. And I'm also thankful you are my friends. I don't deserve your friendship, but it makes me very happy".

Artemis shrugged. " I'm also glad to be your friends. You are actually really nice".

Before Athena could say anything, the door already opened. And Lamia paled and felt the urge to either transforme and fight or flee. Because the person opening the door, was Hera.
