It wasn't long before more people showed up, and the party was in full swing. Club music blasted through the house as the living room was turned into a dance club, while others made use of the pool table and dart boards in the game room. A few guys had brought a keg, and seeing who could do the longest keg stand became a favorite pastime of the evening.

As it turned out, Jill was better at making friends then she gave herself credit for. Once she relaxed a little, she didn't have much trouble talking to people. And once she met a few members of the hockey team, she talked up a storm as they discussed best teams in the league to the famed 'Miracle on Ice' Olympic hockey game.

While Lexi was happy Jill was having such a good time, she wished she was enjoying herself a little more. But all she could focus on was Cassie being with that jackass Roger. Whenever the guy wasn't trying to insist on playing songs from underground bands no one had ever heard of, he shamelessly hit on any female within eye sight. She just couldn't see how anyone would want to be with that idiot, let alone her best friend. Lexi eventually retreated to the area of the porch on the side of the house to get away from his boorishness.

Unfortunately, Lexi retreating outside caused her to become unaware of Stacy showing up at the party. The queen bee made a loud entrance in announcing her arrival, acting like it was a privilege that she was there. In no time she spotted Jill, talking to members of the hockey team. But while Stacy mingled with others, her main objective was in getting Jill alone so she could have her fun, and she kept an eye on the girl. Finally, Stacy saw her chance as Jill went to the drink table, and made a bee line to the kitchen. As she made her way over someone stumbled and knocked into her.

"What the fuck is your problem!" she yelled as she shoved the guy right back. She continued on her way, unaware that the back of one of her earrings had been knocked free from the impact.

"Well look at what we have here, a JV player in a sea of varsity."

Jill's eyes widened in fear as she looked at Stacy, before she cast them downward. "Stacy. Hel… hel…hello."

"Wha, wha, what," she said in a cruel imitation of the girl's nervous stutter. "I couldn't quite hear you there. Not that I ever listen to you anyway. I'm usually too focused on the tragedy that's your face. Seriously, do you bath in bacon grease to get it looking like that? Because that can't be normal?"

Jill breathed rapidly as she lifted her head up and summoned the courage to speak her mind. "I don't think you should talk to me like that anymore. It's not very nice, and acting like that won't get you far."

Stacy chuckled as she casually reached into her pocket and palmed one of the roofies, crushing it with her nails. "You really think being nice is what gets you far? The only thing that matters if who's on top and who's in the loop. There's people like me, who go on to become great successes. And then there's people like you, who disappear like the obscure vapor they are.

She leaned in close and turned Jill's head to the side, dropping the powder in her cup as she whispered in her ear, "Think about that in five years when you're working at McDonalds and only have a vibrator to get you off. Although in your case it'll probably only take three to get to that point."

With that Stacy turned on her heels and coolly slunk away, unaware that she was now wearing only one earring. Jill's body shook from nerves as she took a drink of her coke. For a moment she frowned, thinking it tasted a bit different from before. But then she simply shrugged and drank the rest, figuring her mind was playing tricks on her.

"Having a good time?"

Lexi's blood run cold as she recognized the voice behind her. She turned around, her eyes confirmed what she already knew as she saw Stacy's infuriatingly smug smile.

"What are you doing here?" she coldly asked, her hatred for Roger a light flicker compared to how she felt towards her nemesis.

"It's not a party unless I'm here."

As Lexi looked at Stacy she noticed the girl was only wearing one earing. She almost said something, but decided not to since she didn't care if her enemy was trying to make a fashion statement. "Look, I really don't want to deal with you right now. Just leave me alone," she asked, hoping Stacy would lay off her for once.

Of course she was wrong, since Stacy instead leaned next to her on the balcony. "You look a little heavier then you did before Thanksgiving break. Guess you really pigged out on pumpkin pie and mashed potatoes, huh? Maybe that's why you're hanging out with Crater Faced babies. Since only chubbsters hang out with acne lame-os"

"Don't you dare say anything about her," Lexi hissed, a second away from taking a swing at the evil harlot. "You really think it's alright to torment a new girl who doesn't know anyone?"

"Careful," Stacy indicated, noticing how Lexi had her arm cocked back. "Things didn't go well for you the last time you took a swing at me. Do it again and you'll find yourself in another questionable situation."

"What are you talking about?" Lexi asked, confused by the statement.

For a moment Stacy's eyes narrowed as she realized what she'd inadvertently implied, before she casually shrugged. "You wouldn't want to get another month's detention, do you?"

With that Stacy walked back inside, scolding herself for what she almost revealed. You better watch yourself. That was sloppy, she thought.

Jill leaned against the wall near the stairs, feeling extremely out of it. Her head was fuzzy, and her body felt like it was made of lead. She had felt completely fine, and then it just hit her like a punch.

I should lie down, she groggily thought as she pulled herself up the stairs. It took great effort for her legs to obey her brain. People looked at her as she stumbled upstairs, assuming she was just drunk.

As she dragged herself upstairs Stacy watched her from across the room, smiling at how incoherent Jill had become. This will teach her to think she can hang out with people that matter, she thought.

Once she made it upstairs Jill opened a bedroom door, and then quickly closed it when a guy and girl yelled that it was occupied. She pawed at the wall as she pulled herself to the next door and opened it, finding the room empty. She stumbled inside before falling face first atop the folded out futon.

"Have you seen Jill?" Lexi asked Sasha as she looked around the living room.

"Sorry, haven't seen her."

Lexi frowned in concern over her friend, before noticing Stacy with some members of her posse. "Why the hell did you let Stacy come? Don't we suffer enough from her at school?"

"I didn't let her come, she just showed up," Sasha stated.

"Well it's your house, you could have said she couldn't come in."

"I don't know, it's a party. I'm not turning people away unless they give me a good reason."

"And Stacy being Stacy isn't reason enough?" Lexi asked.

Just then Lexi looked over Sasha's shoulder, frowning at what she saw. "Excuse me." She made her way over to Roger, who was cozying up to a blond in a halter top. "What the hell are you doing?"

"Oh, hey Lex," he said nervously. "I was just-"

"I know what you were doing. You're hitting on some skank."

"Hey! Don't call me that!" the girl yelled.

"Well what do you call someone who messes with a guy who has a girlfriend?"

The girl focused her anger on Roger as she took in that info. "You said you weren't seeing anyone."

"I'm not…not seriously."

"You're unbelievable, you know that?" Lexi spat. She left to find her friend as Roger argued with the blond. Having not seen her inside Lexi went out the kitchen door and searched the backyard from the porch. Sure enough, she spotted Cassidy talking to some people near the lake.

"Cassie," she called out as she walked towards her friend.

"Excuse me for a sec," Cassidy told the others before walking to meet Lexi. "Lexi, I really don't feel like talking to you right now."

"Tough, because you need to hear this. I just saw your boyfriend hitting on some blond."

"What?" Cassie asked.

"That's right. The only reason it didn't go further was because I caught him."

Cassidy was quiet for a moment as she took that in. "Maybe it didn't mean anything."

"He told her he wasn't seeing anyone. Of course it meant something. Why do you keep defending him? He's an asshole."

"He's not that bad," Cassidy said defensively.

"Of course he is. He hits on every woman in sight. He's only concerned with being cool. He's an asshole hipster," Lexi stressed.

"Can you stop talking shit about my boyfriend already? You're acting like your jealous or something."

"I'm just looking out for you."

"Well stop!" Cassidy yelled before marching away, leaving Lexi by herself.

I hope no one's in the bathroom up here. I've really got to go, the goateed guy thought as he stumbled up the stairs. He pushed open the first door, and then quickly closed it when a couple yelled that the bedroom was occupied. He tried the next room and saw it was another bedroom. But this one had a sleeping girl in a peasant style dress in it.

"Hello." He walked over to the futon and gently shook her. "Hey, you alright." He shook her harder, but she was out like a light. Shifting his eyes from side to side he rubbed his fingers over her rough face and down her neck to her chest, where he roughly palmed and squeezed her breasts. He waited for some sort of response, ready to bolt if she stirred. But the girl was completely unresponsive.

With that the guy went over to the door and made sure no one was in the hallway, before closing and locking it.

"I need a cab to come get me at 58 Quart Street, Congress Park…thank you."

Lexi hung up her phone, done with the party. All she wanted to do was go home and forget everything. She weaved her way through the crowd, searching for Jill to tell her she was leaving. But Lexi couldn't find the girl anywhere. Now that she thought about it, it had been hours since she had last seen her. Lexi remembered seeing Jill talking to members of the hockey team when she went outside, but after that she couldn't recall seeing her.

Just then she spotted Scott Parker, one of the guys Jill had been talking with. "Scott, have you seen Jill? The sophomore you were talking to earlier."

"The Minnesota Wild fan? Yeah, she was really nice. But I haven't seen her in a while."

"Thanks. Let me know if you see her." Lexi continued her search, now genially worried. She asked more people if they'd seen Jill, but no one had seen her. After checking the kitchen, game room, downstairs bathroom, and laundry room Lexi went upstairs to see if Jill had ended up there. She pushed open the first bedroom door before quickly shutting it when a guy and girl yelled it was occupied.

"Does anyone knock!?"

"Sorry, sorry," she apologized. She approached the next door and raised her fist to knock when it opened, revealing a goateed guy in a red shirt adjusting his pants. "Oh, I'm sorry-"

With that the guy pushed her aside as he bolted down the stairs. Lexi started closing the door when she looked inside, gasping in shock at seeing Jill unconscious on a futon.

"Jill, Jill." Lexi ran over, the ammonia stench of urine wafting off the unconscious girl, and shook her. Jill babbled incoherently, but didn't wake up. Lexi shook her harder, but she simply flopped around like a rag doll. She breathed rapidly as she began to realize what had happened to Jill.

"Oh God, no." Her hands shook as she dug her phone out of her pocket and dialed 911. "I need an ambulance. My friend's been drugged and I think she might have been raped…she's unconscious and not waking up…we're at 58 Quart Street, in Congress Park. Hurry!"

"It's okay, I've got you," Lexi said as she dragged Jill to her feet, the urine stench almost overpowering her, and walked the girl out of the room.
