Aurora sat tied up in Rumpelstiltskin's cage. "Mulan should be back soon with her heart," she thought. Cora had taken it to control her. She couldn't be trusted. She couldn't have any emotions.

Mulan walked down the path and straight to Aurora.

"Have you ever done this before?" Aurora asked.

"No," Mulan replied as her voice shook.

Mulan thrusted her hand into Aurora's chest. Her hand came out but without Aurora's heart. Aurora's head dropped and the feelings came rushing in. Her love for Philipe was still there but there was something new.

"Cora told me when," Aurora said but stopped herself.

"She told you what?" Mulan asked.

"That I could never feel again but I'm so happy I can,"

"I am happy you can too, Aurora,"

The duo walked through the dense forest. Mulan looked over at Aurora. Her cheekbones were high. Her irises were a swirl of a murky blue. Her body stood straight but with no recollection of danger. Her hands swayed at her sides. Mulan knew she was tired.

"Why don't we set up camp," Mulan suggested. "I can hunt for game and you can gather berries."

"Okay," Aurora said as she smiled. The princess went into the trees, swinging her hands by her side, but stopping when she felt Mulan's gaze. She continued on her way with her hands grasping the sides of her torn up, purple dress.

Aurora found a berry bush and begin picking. The juices ran down her hands and stained her dress. She cut her hand on the small thorns that were hidden in the large, leafy bush. Once she gathered enough berries she headed back to camp.

Mulan was already there with a dead wild turkey and a small bunny.

"With the berries and the meat we wouldn't have to go hunting for a while," Mulan said as soon as she saw Aurora. Aurora smiled. She stared at Mulan's body trying to memorize it within the few seconds she had to stare.

What am I thinking, Aurora thought,"My true love is Philp and she wasn't in love with anyone else much less a girl. But Mulan was so beautiful and was so kind and thoughtful. The way her cheekbones curved was to die for but Mulan would never feel the same way.

Mulan started the fire. Aurora came to sit closer to her. She wrapped her cloak around her body. Her knotty hair fell down her back but it was still beautiful. Her pale face glowed in the moonlight. an ember from the fire hit her dress but Aurora brushed it away.

"I'm going to go sleep now," Aurora said as she stood.

"I'll keep watch," Mulan said as she smiled.

Aurora fell asleep quickly . Mulan brushed away her hair from her face as she started to shake and scream.

"Wake up," Mulan yelled as she shook her. Aurora bolted awake banging her head on top of the tent.

"I'm sorry it's the nightmares again," Aurora apologized.

"It's fine I'll watch over you'" Mulan said quietly.

"Thank you," Aurora said as she smiled. Mulan held Aurora in her arms all night with not even a twitch from Aurora. When she awoke Aurora smiled.

"There were no nightmares" Aurora said when she woke with pride in her voice.

"I will always watch over you," Mulan whispered.

"I love you, Mulan," Aurora whispered.

"I love you too" Mulan replied as she sank into a kiss.
