Hi guys! I'm super sorry that I didn't update in what seemed like forever and I almost forgot how to upload a chapter...

Anyways I really hope you guys can forgive me for not updating in the last um 4 or 5 months. I'M SO SORRY PLEASE FORGIVE ME!

I'm not really sure how many people will read this judging from how many reviews it got.

Well anyway, this chapter isn't as fun as I want it to be because it's still during trick tower and that was not very happy. I promise I'll try better for the phase 4 or 3 part. Remember I did this from memory... I didn't remember everything clearly I must be getting old.

Chapter 8

Last chapter:

I pick it up from the plate and take a bite out of it.

Kurapika's POV

After the first bite an explosion of flavors knocked the wind out of me.

Everyone looked at me with worried expressions as I taste the strangest combination of marshmallows, nutella, jam, and... a cookie? (A/N: Honestly, how did she fit all of that between two pieces of bread?!)

It didn't taste bad expect for the cookie part, although the nutella didn't exactly go with the jam either... I've come to a conclusion-

"This sandwich is horrible." I say honestly.

Tina went into a corner and cried while Killua laughed, and the others sighed in relief.

"At least he didn't turn purple."

"Yeah, we were all scared!"

"Hahahahahaha~"

I sighed feeling like an old man and put the Super Mysterious Tina Sandwich back on the plate.

Well look on the bright side.

I didn't die during the Hunters Exam.

Yet.

But who knows- with an 11 year old on your team there's no telling what could happen.

Tina's POV

We all stare at the clock all crazy eyed, because we couldn't wait to get out of here.

We've been stuck in this horrid prison for 49 hours for goodness sake!

With Tompa guys, I'm surprised I haven't grown ten headaches...

Tompa, of all people!

Anyways we all fidgeted like it was school and were all waiting for the bell to ring.

I sigh well this was obviously not working.

I looked around the room and stared at the bathroom, "Well I'm going to hit the showers guys! You're all stinky and i don't want to be stinky." I proclaim and run off to the bathroom with a fluffy towel and a new pair of clothes.

Meanwhile... (BTW This is going to be a short Third Person POV)

Kurapika sniffed the room, she was right it does smell kind of funny.

Gon ducked his head under his arm and scrunched up his nose, Killua backed away as far as possible from Leorio and Tompa- probably trying to not smell them.

"I need a shower." They all said at the same time and looked at each other in surprise.

Kurapika glanced at the clock and noticed ten minutes have passed; shouldn't Tina be done by now? (A/N: Honestly, boys will never understand that girls need a bare minimum of 20 minutes of shower time.)

He knocked on the bathroom door, "Tina, are you done yet?"

That was apparently a bad choice.

Tina threw out the bathroom sink (and somehow managed to not open the door) and it hit Kurapika square in the face.

"GIRLS NEED LONGER THAN JUST TEN MINUTES!" She yelled. And then muttered something along the lines of- inconsiderate boys.

Well there goes the sink.

Back to Tina's POV

I quickly dried off and put on my clean adventure clothes.

I wrapped my hair in the towel and ran out but not before looking at the spot where the sink once was worriedly.

I brushed it off, shrugged, and went to meet the others.

"So guys ready to get going?" I asked with a big smile.

They all sweatdropped at my bipolar attitude but agreed with me anyways- it was almost time to get going.

In 30 minutes...

Killua's POV

I stare at Tina, then blinked, and blinked again.

She looked sort of looked like an... angel?

I try not to look shock but inside I wanted to hit myself.

Tina was defiantly not an angel!

She was not innocent, sweet, or pure.

She's the plain opposite- a devil.

I can't believe I even thought of that word- Killua Zoldyck does not use words like 'angel'. Especially on an idiot like her!

Tina went to the refrigerator to get something to eat, a water bottle, and a juice box.

She liked to be prepared didn't she?

Anyways I thought about talking to Gon about how weird Tina was but then he'd just scold me and tell me it's not nice to call people names.

But Kurapika saw her strange behavior so he should know something right?

Time to talk to the encyclopedia.

I walk towards Kurapika and suddenly sit down next to him.

I decided to get straight to the point.

"Have you noticed how weird Tina is?" I ask staring at that weird bird thing.

Kurapika eyes widened a bit. "Yes."

"What do you think she's hiding?" I know I've never gotten along with Kurapika before but he's my best bet if I want to figure out who Tina really is.

Kurapika gave a quick glance at Tina and decided to be vague, "Something important, something that she can't tell us."

"I guess so, but you don't think it's suspicious at all?"

Kurapika considered it, "Well Tina doesn't look someone who'll pour out all her secrets to us. She looks like she likes keeping things to herself, even though she talks a lot. Strange enough, she somehow doesn't tell all her secrets."

I think about that. It was strange, wasn't it?

I word my response carefully trying not to give anything away, since I saw Tina listening, "It is strange."

The Kurta silently agreed. "Although have you seen how she acts, moves, and talks? It's almost as if she were-"

Kurapika was rudely interrupted by the sound of Tina and others cheering and running out of the room like crazy people.

And so the adventure continues.

Tina's POV

Finally, we're finally being set free! Now I can go bother Killua and Oreo!

I catch up to Killua, "Hi!"

He takes a quick glance at me as if he had something to say but ignored me.

I pouted and decided to complain to Kurapika, "Kurapikaaa!" I say stretching the 'a', "Killua won't talk to me!"

Kurapika looked at Killua who was thoroughly ignoring me.

"Killua be nice to her."

Killua's fast pace slowed down a bit and looked shocked at Kurapika, "Why are you defending her!"

"You started it Killua." Gon commented.

"Hey! Who's side are you on?"

I laugh and spin around Killua making a victory sign. "Anyways, I was gong to ask you a question."

He stops whining (see Killua whines too!), "Really?"

I nod happily, "Here's the question-" Killua waited in anticipation. "Are you sure you don't like Gon?" (A/N: By the way, Tina has nothing against yaoi, she just appreciates it a bit too much.)

Killua stares at me and then covers my mouth, "Don't say that in front of everyone!" He whispers.

I tilt my head to one side, "Does that mean yes?"

"No!"

"Oh..." Well that question went to waste.

"Anyway, it's now my turn." He pauses and looks at me challenging in the eye. "Why do you want to become a hunter?"

That was a good question... why did I want to become a hunter...

Oh right! "So I could experience the outside world!" I reply surely.

Apparently that was not the answer he wanted.

Killua just furrowed his eyebrows and stared at the ceiling.

Fine with me.

I prance along the hallway; while ignoring Killua's death glare behind me.

Kurapika's POV

We ran away from giant rolling stones.

And Leorio was nearly flattened.

We went through lasers and Tompa accidentally touched one.

Leorio payed the price for it and now he's very wet and cold.

We had to escape from closing walls.

And Killua's skateboard nearly broke.

And Tina laughed it all off.

Why do I get the feeling I'm the only reasonable person here?

Tina's POV

As we passed through each obstacle, the air gets heavier and heavier. Which means we're probably getting closer to the bottom.

Now that I think about it how long has it been. I mean the search team could already be looking for us at this very moment.

Oh well.

I look around and just see a wet Leorio.

I burst out laughing.

"Hahahahahaha- ANT!"

Everyone turned to look at the tiny black dot crawling across the floor and sweatdrop.

"THE ANT'S GOING TO CRAWL ON OUR EYELIDS!"

Killua stared at me, "What?" he asked with a raised eyebrow.

I shake him violently, "I know it just wants to crawl on our eyelids! Be an assassin and kill it!"

He rolled his eyes and squashed it.

Gon got very teary eyed and I felt pretty bad. "Sorry Gon! I didn't mean to! Besides it was mostly Killua's fault that he listened to me!"

Killua made a face at me, "Well sorry that I listened to you."

We turn our backs at each other and Kurapika shook his head.

We came across a door and everyone voted.

It was four yes' and a 'no' again.

Leorio just blew up when he saw this.

"YOU'RE DOING THIS AREN'T YOU?!" Leorio screamed at Tompa.

Tompa took a step back, "What do you mean?"

"YOU'VE BEEN TRYING TO DO THIS FROM THE START! YOU WERE THE ONE VOTING AGAINST US!"

Tompa finally gathered his courage, "You know what I'm sick of you always bullying and blaming me!"

I think about it, maybe Tompa was right- as much as I hate to admit it- Leorio seemed to always be blaming Tompa. But then I thought about it again; Tompa might as well have been the one trying to sabotage the group. Although that fat guy never did like us anyway... Guess I'll find out when he backstabs us later on in the exam.

Gon steps in between them, trying to be a peacemaker, "Guys stop fighting! And Leorio, I accidentally pressed the wrong button- it was me not Tompa."

Leorio shoves Tompa to the side, "Fine, but if I catch you again you're dead."

Tompa grumbles curse words and we go through the door.

"Wow!" I look at all the weapons in the room just waiting to be, uh used.

I weighed a knife in my hand. "What are we supposed to do Killua?"

"What're are you asking me for?"

"Well I-"

"HELLO CONTESTANTS! THIS IS LIPPO, YOUR EXAMINER FOR THIS ROUND. CONGRATULATIONS ON MAKING IT THIS FAR. NOW HERE ARE THE RULES- YOU CAN EITHER ALL GO THROUGH THE 'O' DOOR WHICH WILL TAKE 45 HOURS OR THE 'X' DOOR, THAT ONLY TAKES 3 MINUTES, BUT YOU'LL HAVE TO LEAVE TWO BEHIND."

We take that information in thinking and deciding. I look at Gon's watch we only have 30 minutes. We only have 30 minutes! If we want to get through this exam together than we can't wait. Why was this so hard?

I scan the room to see who might want to go through the 'X' door... Leorio was one no doubt, and so was Tompa. Kurapika looked like he was still weighing his options, Killua looked as neutral and stoic as ever, and Gon... Well there was steam coming out of his ears.

"So guys what do you want to do?" I ask them.

Tompa, believe it or not, speaks first. "I think the weapons are here so we can fight to see who will be left behind and who goes on."

Gon frowns and I scratch my head.

"How would you know that of all people, for all we know you might be turning against us- again." Killua interrogates, adding in the last part.

Tompa gave him of what I assumed would be a hard glare.

Leorio decided to be selfish again. "Well I"m going through that 'X' door no matter what it takes."

Tompa smirked, "Oh yeah? Then who's going to be left behind? I obviously won't be coming, but what about Gon and Kurapika? You've been with them since stage 1 and you barely know Killua but he's an assassin of the legendary Zoldyck family." he glances at me, "And well Tina- she has no fighting ability at all, maybe even worse than mine, but you seem to hold a little sympathy for her because she's so helpless and just a kid. So who are you going to choose?"

I glare at Tompa and stand my ground. "You know who's helpless? It's you. You're pathetic enough to let this exam get the best of you, because in a bad situation you turn into a coward and do whatever it takes to survive- you know nothing about loyalty."

Killua blinked at me like he couldn't believe I said something smart for once and Gon looked depressed because of the tense and sad situation- which I just realized I didn't help make it better.

Tompa eyed the axes, "I guess there's only one way to settle this."
