Alright, a new chapter for my readers today! :D
Let's find out how it will be played here~
Vlad was better than he was two hours ago and mom is learning to be open minded about everything. We explained how things came to be and how everything affects us, especially my role in the Ghost Zone. Sam ordered some chocolate for Vlad since he got craving suddenly and everyone was surprised, even dad was. He wasn't expecting Vlad to eat anything chocolate related – to the billionaire who refused to eat anything 'sugary' or 'sweet'.
"You are definitely carrying a Fenton. This one must love fudge." Dad cheerfully put.
My head shook, "It's just cravings, dad."
Vlad agreed, "Yes, I am only providing what my body seeks."
Dad chuckled and breathed to settle down. We were all getting comfortable, but I knew this wasn't the only thing to cover. Dani deserved to know and my parents need to know as well.
"I think there's one more thing to cover," I spoke up, "About Dani." I brought up obviously.
Mom glanced up at between us, "What about Dani? Despite of the fact I hadn't realized she's our family member and all."
My head shook, "Not really. Originally, she's a clone."
Mom and dad jolted when I told them. Dani was fine with me telling them and I guess she knew this would happen eventually.
"Of you?" Dad asked.
Vlad shook his head, "I'm afraid not. I recently checked to see whose DNA hair she has and apparently, she is Miss Manson's clone. It would make sense why her gender isn't a male like Daniel." He explained, "I must have accidentally pick up, her hair and created her."
Dad's jaw dropped, "Vladdy, why?"
Vlad turned away and kept quiet. He wasn't exactly ready to admit his doing or to explain at all.
"He just wanted a family, especially with me. Unfortunately, it didn't work out and lost the chance to have Dani as a part of his life for a family." I figured I'd put a good perspective.
Sam sat up straight, "Dani, you're more than welcome to live with me."
Jazz leaned back and crossed her arms, "If Dani does that, how are we going to explain to the society?"
Sam smiled, "Already got it covered. My parents are moving out to Florida in a couple of days. This way, I can claim that my sister was kidnap when she was three years old and I finally got her back after finding out the imposture parents had her all those years. If it weren't for the lies she grew up with, thinking she's a Fenton related, I would have never found her with you guys. So, either way, it's up to Dani to decide." She looked over to her clone, "It's your decision, but if you're fine with living here. I understand," She smiled, "My door will always be open to you."
Dani blinked a couple of times – sort has of how Sam was to process the news processing through her head. She was weighing out her pros and cons before settling into something. Her body positioned exactly the way Sam was, leaned back in her seat and crossed her arms, and proved how much they have in common.
"Can I stay at your place and tell you by the end of the week?" Dani wondered.
Sam smiled, "Sure. And Vlad and I figured, that you can change your last name to his' or mine."
She nodded, "Okay. I'll think about it."
Mom leaned in closely, "How is Danielle a clone of Sam? I'm struggling to grasp something here."
Vlad coughed to prepare for this, "She is made of Samantha's hair DNA with ectoplasm as an alterative gene."
Dad blinked, "I'm sorry, how are you able to create ectoplasm as an alternative gene?" He scratched his head.
The pregnant man chuckled, "When you are half ghost yourself, you can understand what ectoplasm is and create a replica."
Mom nodded, "That's something I haven't thought about."
Dani shrugged, "I still feel like half human. I'm just like Vlad and Danny is, only I'm a girl. A first female hybrid." She lifted her chin, "I'm also known as Young Phantom."
My parents were in shocked to learn the similarity of a small world. Sam was actually proud towards Dani to state who she is. Vlad knew he wasn't in trouble about the cloning, so he's safe.
…
It's been a month since everyone learned the truth about nearly everything. Vlad is four months and a week pregnant. Apparently, I found I'm pregnant by the third week and almost a month pregnant. However, I wasn't regretting this because it was making Vlad happy. He's aiming for a boy, so we knew we would have to wait until I was at least eleven weeks to be sure.
He's reading on his laptop to keep in touch with work since he took his own vacation time off for the next five months. He's showing more every day each week and so excited how everything will be happening.
I'm on my laptop, writing information about ghosts, and there was a lot to cover and to avoid mentioning. I knew the GIW would be on my tail if they ever learn the closer truth. I had to keep things simple about the different core, but avoid mentioning either weakness or strength wise towards the core. This way, no one will get hurt and including me. In a way, I had to overlook everything as much as I can before I can complete this-
"Oh!" Vlad jolted up.
My head jerked over to him, knowing his emotions are stable, and he was smiling. He gestured me to come over to him immediately. I got up and came to his side. He snatched my hands and placed them onto his bump. The soft tickling against my palms made me gasps and couldn't believe it!
"Awe, she's kicking!"
The joy of tears was trickling down, "Oh, I cannot wait to meet her!"
I wiped his tears off his cheeks, "Me too, Vlad. I can't wait to meet her as well."
His hands soothing his bump and head shaking, "We haven't decided a name for her."
I sighed, "How about we do that when we go to the castle tonight," I hummed curiously, "I still need to do a few more pages to work on and get this finish before the end of August."
Vlad sighed at me…uh oh, this is not good, "You're stalling…again." He frowned, "Every time we go to the castle, you are always busy to do some of those royal training."
Whenever Vlad sighs, he complains and he knows too well that I will change that around. I sat down next to him and thought about it. For a month, he complained that I didn't spend enough time with him. So, I ended up making sure I'm around and talk to him as often as possible. Another one was about having a bank account and how I should consider his money instead of my parents'. Okay, he had a point there and he made sure I have two credit cards in my wallet. I have a million dollar in both credit cards. Last time, he complained that I don't go grocery shopping with him anymore. So, I turned around and automatically go to the store with him each time.
Now, he's complaining that I am stalling time to pick a name for our incoming daughter. I don't know how long I was surviving this, but this better be one of the pregnancy symptoms.
"I promise, it's only one thing and we can talk about girl's future names." I told him.
His arms crossed, stubborn emotion, "No. I would rather discuss her name here instead of the idiotic castle of yours. They never liked me there and take up all your damn time. Once you are done, you're completely wiped out and sleep right away once you land on the bed." He huffed.
I patted his shoulder, "I meant it this time, Vlad. It is only one thing and I thought I told them to treat you equally?"
"Only the castles, your imbecile servants does not follow your promising orders." He pointed out obviously.
"Then why didn't you say something? You know I will make sure they are doing their jobs and getting paid for what they should be doing, not disobeying me." I mentally muttered how I hate my position as a soon-to-be king.
I even tried to see if Desire could end this mating, but she stated that it was impossible because mating is something a must-avoid interfering. In a way, I hated the way Vlad has to deal with everything.
"We are not going to the castle tonight." He demanded.
I stood up from the couch, "No. We are going and that's it." I hated to demand him like this, but he knew better to go against me, "I promise you already that it's one thing to do at the castle, alright?"
He muttered upsettingly about ruled out partnership in our friendship. My eyes rolled, but he has to get over it. I returned to my laptop and worked on a few more details. Vlad was distracting me too much on his emotions and he wasn't focusing on his laptop. Apparently, he's not even using it and lost in his own thoughts. I was doomed anyway, but he needs to get over it! Besides…who hasn't been following their orders at the castle anyway?
I finally decided to get going and shut down my laptop. I stood up and crossed my arms, hoping he would get the message that I wasn't backing down this time.
"We're going now." My hand waved in the middle of the room to appear a portal, "Well?"
His arms were crossed tightly and didn't bother to look at me. We headed through the portal that led us to my castle. He knew he can't break the disobeying, he has to follow along without a choice, and one of the servants came up to me. She was the coordinator and organizer of the castle and businesses. She greeted with a gentle smile for both of us.
"Ah, Prince Phantom! What a perfect timing. I was about to write a note for you before you come. I needed to know when for both expecting babies will be coming around by." She smiled, she practically loves kids, and Vlad does approve of her.
I nodded, "Vlad should be due around December nineteenth. I should be due on March eleventh."
Her glowing blue eyes and turned to Vlad, "How are you Mate of Prince, Vlad?"
"I am well." He kept this short.
She understood, "Ah, well, I see I have caused confliction."
My head shook, "Not at all. He's being stubborn," I glared at him, "I apologize for his behavior." I sighed, "Anyway, what do I need to do?"
She tilted her short black hair back, "A review over your future schedule holds and a few questions. Shall we do it now or take it somewhere else?"
"Let's go into my office." I smiled, "If you do not mind, Kadian."
Kadian nodded and led the way to my office. Vlad and I followed her like always, but Vlad tends to be grumpy about this now. He should know better not to be rude towards our workers here, especially when she put in so much effort around here. We ended up in my office that was mainly had a desk in the middle of the room, contains books on the shelves in the surrounded room, and some sort of royal recognition carpet. Lastly, there is a couch behind the desk within ten feet. Vlad automatically sat down and picked up his book, expecting this to be long.
I stood in front of my desk and Kadian laid out the schedule sheet for me to see. This has planned out at least a year limit – she wants to be prepared ahead of time. She wore one of those strict royal dress where she could not show her figure – I even pointed out to wear comfortable and she stated she loves her clothes. I couldn't argue since then.
"As you can see, Saturday is very important to all ghost zone. You and your mate are a mandatory because all kings and queens need to check in balance in the entire ghost zone. Your job is basically offer a proposal to settle things to the way things should be. Your mate can help you on ideal proposal as well, but I advise avoiding anything mate related." Her nervous eyes looked over at him briefly and back at me, "That is most forbidden."
I nodded, "Okay, I got that. Anything else?" I hate having to demand things out of Vlad to what he cannot do.
She nodded, "Yes. To warn you since you do not know much," Which is obvious, "They are responsible how many spawns you need to reproduce with your mate. You and your mate has absolutely no choice in the matter. Some of them may offer their mates to meet the amount they seek."
I felt like I couldn't breathe anymore. My stomach was eager to puke. Now, I see why not many ghosts want the title so easily here. In my world, we can't tell anyone what to do with their lives (besides do not murder, steal, or lie to the authority figure). Unfortunately, I knew ghosts don't die from childbirth and that we're immortal anyway. My head slowly nodding to accept it, knowing there wasn't a way out of this, and had to take this into my consideration beforehand.
"Got it. Do I have to wear anything particularly?"
Karian smiled, "I will have your fashion consulter for both of you. Please be here on Friday to be prepared and it will start at six in the morning." She explained.
I took a deep breath, "I'll be sure of that. Can we move onto the next schedule?"
Karian pointed two weeks later, "You will be doing interviews with people who are interested to do work around your castle."
I blinked, "Wow…I was going to ask you to remove the ones that aren't treating Vlad equally."
"The castle informed me and they are already fired from their positions."
My arms crossed, "How many servants did I lose?"
"About ten."
Wow. Vlad wasn't kidding and that's only half the people here. I knew that the interviews are one-on-one requirement, so Vlad can't be with me in the room when that happens.
"Next schedule?"
She hummed, "I believe you will need to tell me when we should arrange your bond with him. I recommend before November to be the least. After that, invitations will need to be sent, find two witnesses of the final bonding, and arrange a special room for both of you to last for two days."
I coughed, "I will talk to you later about that. Any other days I need to know beforehand?"
She shook her head, "No, Prince Phantom. However, do not leave the bond hanging around too late or there will be severe consequences later on for your mate."
This was something impossible to avoid anyway.
"Okay. If that all I have to do, I'd like privacy with Vlad."
Karian grinned, "That is all, Prince Phantom. I shall see you on Saturday at four in the morning."
Great…guess I'd be going to bed early, even Vlad is. She flew upward and left us alone. I turned to Vlad and sat down on my desk.
"I'm free now, Vlad." I announced loudly to him.
He scoffed, "I would not hold my breath for a minute. One of your servants will interrupt and demands you to do something about it."
Somehow, his stubbornness has amazed me to no ends. My head shook and decided to work this out soon.
"No. Karian did not inform me anything new until Saturday, but we will be back here at noon on Friday." I pointed out.
He sighed, "Maybe I'm being ridiculous."
Something was bothering him, but I can't exactly understand what his emotion was referring to. Vlad hasn't been that happy lately and I was failing to everything. I came over to him and sat down on the couch's arm. My hand rested on his shoulder.
"What's wrong?"
"I heard about Saturday. They are forcing us to go by their amount of children?" His head shook, "But, you don't even love me and I doubt this will bold well for you."
I hummed to agree, "I know. But I am willing to do anything to keep you happy and I know I'm not the perfect lover or king, but I'm trying."
"Even if I request you to kiss me? Have sex? Daniel, I doubt you're happy about this at all and you are never comfortable with any of that. I forced you to carry one as well."
My shoulders shrugged, "I can't really say I am not happy. I am because we're having a girl and this baby, I'm happy too." My hand gestured to my stomach, "Vlad, you know as your role that you have to…ererr, get me involved of these mating sessions."
Somehow, having this conversation wasn't the highlight of my life. Yet, I'm dealing with this right now and proving to Vlad with all my attempts for him. His emotions barely changed and I only want him to be happy.
"Despite of the fact you feel uncomfortable, why are you willing to go this far? What benefits will this give you?" Vlad had to wonder.
I frowned, "How long have you been thinking about this?"
His sapphire eyes drew away to some lost thoughts. In a way, it was going to be a long night. He doesn't want to answer my question because I didn't answer him. The only way I can do that is by giving him what he wants.
"Vlad, for few years, Karian told me I needed to find someone to mate with. I kept my eyes out for anyone to be mine for eternity. I had difficulty seeing anyone with my secret and willing to accept what will become of them." I rubbed his shoulders, "I felt bad for you being trap into this, but I won't see our children as regret. The only benefit I see is having a family and both of us get to train all of our kids. A human mate wouldn't be easy and then, she or he would have died and that leaves me to find another mate." I was hoping these words mean something to him, "Maybe when we were drunk, I said something and you offered to make things easier for me. Maybe I felt I could trust you to be someone to be my mate. But, we're here now and dealing with this together as a team." I hoped that answered him enough.
His eyes were finally picked up at me and trying to read me careful enough. His hand held mine that rest on his shoulder. Suddenly, he's worried.
"Can we…start thinking of our daughter's name," He asked.
I accepted what he asked, "Sure. You can start. What are some names you came up with?"
He smiled, attempting to hide his current emotion, and I had to understand to respect him by letting him come to his own term. It hasn't been easy to deal with situation we need to face, but even then, we talk until he wishes to drop it. Unless it is something I would need to be concern about, then it will continue whether he likes it or not.
A penny for thoughts? Next chapter will come tomorrow~
