Alright, this is a very, very, very long one. All of you take your time and enjoy!
Beta'ed by Dragonian Master! She is really doing a fantastic job!
Warning: Politic is involved, but it's the ghost zone, so it's Ghost Zone Politic!
This is something I had known about Vlad's sleeping habits. He always sleeps until nine or ten in the morning because of his pregnancy drains his energy so easily. Yet, I refused to view him frail during his state of condition. I knew better than that and needed to protect him from the others. His emotions are frailer than his physical strengths. Especially to the fact, he won't be able to handle dealing with the meeting today. I woke up early enough to allow the designer dress me – apparently, a king must wear a royal robe and it was black as my ghost half, but with silver trims. Although I will become their king, it was strange to be feeling this sort of situation, and how I am a prince currently. Vlad was forced to become the princess title, but they call him the mate of the Prince because he is the only mate I have so far. Once we bond, he becomes the queen. They have to follow the Royal Code, no matter what the genders were…Vlad would be known as Queen Vlad, the mate of King Phantom.
He already hated it, but he knew too well, there was no chance of an escape. The meeting did not seem to be something to be looking forward to and cannot have an excuse. Neither of us was looking forward to anything. Once my royal robe was arranged, I headed back to the bedroom to see Vlad still sleeping after all those thirteen hours of sleep – which I had to put him into bed early last night.
I sat down on the bed and my fingers brushing his hand. It hasn't been easy to be his lover for pretend, but it was influencing Vlad a bit better. He was happier than he had been since he learned the truth. Well, almost that is…
My head shook and gently tugged his hand. He had told me a couple of days ago that he liked to be waking up the way his mother woke him up. Sadly, he won't talk to me about his parents and I had no idea what had happened to them. I refused to demand to know about his family. He hasn't spoken about them – hold it, there, Fenton, he's waking up and thinking about his family is getting nowhere.
He groaned miserably and slowly waking up anyway. He knew that he has to get ready soon, before the meeting hours begin. My voice came out a gentle sounding for him to hear.
"Vlad, you need to wake up and you will need to eat soon."
His head shook and struggled to keep his eyes closed. What the-? He's acting like a child! I blame today's schedule, but he could not push this off too long. It was going to happening within three hours, but I lied to him last night that I will wake him up two hours before. If all before my life, he likes to slow things down for his own benefit before the official results come. I gulped down my impatient side and decided to make his morning a good start. My head bowed and my lips softly pressed up against his bare neck and kissed him into a better mood. He moaned under those lips of his' and could not resist that easily.
There's a broken space and he gasped to beg for some more already, "I'll give you this tomorrow in the morning, only if you get out of bed and let the fashion consulter get you dress up." I told him.
He was battling this out himself and he knew too well that I won't break my promises. He sighed and woke up finally.
"Fine…" He went along with this. For now, that is.
I smiled, "Alright. She's in that closet and you'll see why before you ask. I'll get us breakfast."
"Who is the fashion consulter?"
"Kardian's second cousin's friend's sister, remember?" I honestly don't know how I do, but it was expected of me, "Floramaria." That name's a mouthful almost.
"Ah, yes. At least she's acceptable and well adaptable to modern's fashion styles. Did you know that there is a fine line between genuine leather and polyester leather for styles?"
I huffed, "Vlad, yes, I do. I'm sure Sam did not let the whole leather thing slide by me. You have three seconds to get out of bed before I decide to cancel my promises."
Vlad whipped the blanket off him and waddled down to the closet without killing himself. To me, this was a breather and finally glad to have some space. He even attempted to stall the time last night and almost made me want to stay up late. I told him after the meeting event and he claimed he had forgotten about that.
There is one thing Vlad does not realize about his royal clothes for meeting and public parading or public engagement involved is that…well, he'll learn soon enough. Floramaria is more than capable of handling Vlad and his way of stalling, so it worked out for me. She knew what to do with people who are stubborn and she can petrify them for eternity. I was lucky enough to go along what she says, but she's friendly. I already found some ghosts and their frightful looks around her. Personally, that's why I had felt so lucky.
I headed over to the dining room and found Karian helping herself to gather today's events going. That and she's eating. Ghosts have to eat too.
"Is the Mate of the King, Vlad awake?" Karian asked with her curious smiling.
My hand picked up the glass of milk, "He is finally. Floramaria is getting him dressed up…although, is it really necessary that he must wear those?"
She nodded, "I am afraid so, Prince Phantom."
I sighed miserably and hoped I could make his day a little better, despite of our situation. Karian often enjoyed eating her sunny-side up eggs with slice of Feta Greek cheese and a roll. She arrived to the ghost zone since the ending of fifteenth century.
"Have you made sure your mate will not speak of relations to mate laws?" Karian checked in.
I nodded, "Yes. I told him not to speak of anything about it and that he will be rewarded, but he does, he will be punished." Which, I hated to go onto that ends.
She nodded briefly, "Excellent. I shall have you inform that within an hour, the Queen Chaos and her mate will be here to arrive first. I will be addressing them to their room for temporary stay."
Queen Chaos is known for the balance of…well, chaos in the ghost zone. Without her, ghosts would not be able to survive or live long enough. Other than that, her mate is to keep her going for the balance of chaos. All I have to do is avoid making comments that she is a woman or any stereotypes to that. I have met her once, but it was very brief since she needed to deal with other events coming to her. I had to go deal with ghost fighting at the time. I had no idea what her mate had looks like or who that is.
"That's fine. Let me know when Queen Chaos and her mate leaves, I don't want to cause any trouble on her terms." I stated out.
Karian smiled, "Of course, Prince Phantom. As for the Twin King and Queen Yin and Yang are coming with their one mate. They will be the second people to arrive here and expecting sweet and bitter meals."
I accepted that fine, "Got it. I already made sure the chef knew that the food is to meet everyone's expectation and gave him the list of those who will be there. That and made sure a couple of food is out of the question. Vlad and I can't stand onion and tuna right now." I sheepishly chuckled.
"Good, good. The King of Weather and his partner Mother Nature are coming, but it is important you do not combine their work together. Mother Nature is known for the mood of the weather and balance. The King of Weather is known for setting out the weather for that day and the amount of times." She always made sure I knew all of this.
I took a sip of water, "Okay. Partners, not mate nor have any."
"They're attempting on having a mate, but their standards are very high." Karian pointed out, "So, avoid asking them about that."
I sighed, "Got it," I set my glass down, "Anyone else?"
"Yes, the Master of Elements Queen is coming, but with her little mate princess. As you can see, her mate is very young and you must understand it was based on the princess' parents of selling her to keep their home going and paid for. Master of Elements Queen accepted her and has been waiting for two thousand years for her to be older, but they will be seeking you to help. The queen is eager for a child, but the age is somewhat trapped for the princess."
I nodded, "I see, but how can I help with that?"
"You have the power to allow age to come forth to a certain limits. As you can see, King Dark Pariah had felt threatened with this princess and future child. Yet, he was jealous he could not have the princess. He almost kidnapped her, but that is when he was enforced to Eternity sleep." She really had explained, "If I were you, Prince Phantom, which you made these gracious amend for them. You will be grateful that you do this in power for them and in future, their child will wed one of your future children."
I groaned at the fact I had to make one of my children to go through that, but in a way, this queen wanted a child in a way, but the girl had to be too small to be a carrier. If anything, I don't blame the consequences.
"I supposed…but it must be out of love for one of our children to wed theirs."
Karian used her napkin to brush off the crumbs, "Of course, but it says so in the prophecy stone."
Right, right. There's a stone that stated a king would free a certain queen's mate will lead to grander benefit for the ghost zone. Love will rule all the above. It was a strange prophecy to find out and had to deal with that anyway. I nodded along and figured she had more to say. She held up her glass and looked up at me.
"King of Animal and King of Sky will be here." She added on.
I blinked, "Who? I mean, besides their obvious name…but I have never heard of them." I shrugged.
She finished sipping, "Ah, King of Animal is responsible for all animals to provide the full cycle of life, but he could not control their length of lives. The sun was constantly out in the opening and the King of Sky is responsible for the wind, cloud, rain, snow, and all sorts of weather for Earth. Back then, the King of Animals was furious at Sky for not providing different weather for the past two months. He demanded a war and King of Sky rained for weeks. Half of his animals were still dying, but mostly from drowning. King of Animal went to King of Sky and he was on an attack mode. Sky did not fight and seemed to enjoy the man's reaction and solution. He changed the weather to little sun and bunch of winds. After a while, Animal often broke into the territory and tries to get a fight, but Sky refused to participate. Eventually, Sky claimed animal to mate."
When she had to explain that, it had sounded like they were teenagers at the time. In a way, there were going to be several people attending and most were recognized to their powers or status or territory.
"And here I thought Vlad and I were the strange mates here." My head shook.
Karian giggled, "Oh, Prince Phantom that is what makes us all unique. All mates are different apart from one another. Once we have left the human worlds and become obsessed of what represent us today." She eased her giggles down, "Lastly, the Princess Lunar and Queen Solar are coming as well." She added in, brushing her hands from the crumbs.
Of course, everyone knew them too well in the ghost zone. I have heard much of them and almost met them earlier, but they were forced to stay at their castle. They wanted to stop Vortex robbing the Sky's weather and the Lunar and Solar's sun and moon. However, that was left to me in order to balance everything. I almost had the feel of punishing Vlad for causing such chaos then, yet, I realized I did put him in his place at that time. The king inside of me almost took control and I was glad for the continuing thoughts.
"Is the Queen and Princess Mated or they having a mate in between or their own?"
"Oh, they are mated. They are forbidden to mate others like the other prince and princess planets." Karien shook her head, "Unfortunately, we are forbidden to social with such planets, especially Jupiter."
That sort have had disappointed me. I guess that even if I had managed to get into the space program, I would have had been force to drop my dreams to visit each of those planets. Currently, I had to face the reality that I need to take my role seriously as a Halfa for all Ghost Zone and Earth.
"Got it. Anyone else?"
Her head shook, "No, which is all. I will fetch you and your mate over to the meeting room a few minutes before the starting hour. I adjusted the seats comfortable to both of you, due to the pregnancies going on here."
That relaxed me a bit, "Thank you."
Karian finished off her breakfast and I had to replay some of the important memories for the big meeting. This meeting happens about every once a year, unless an emergency arrived. The castle served up bagels and orange juices, which I knew that Vlad would have to be done almost with his new royal outfit for today. Here comes my part to help him understand it is for the royal standard.
His emotion shifted into a burst of furious and humiliation. That was my cue and I teleported over to our room immediately as I could – apparently, after the marking, I gained his power and so did he…which he held no interests to right now. I sat down on the bed and showed my caring smile for him. In a way, my mate found this smiling more affective to his behaviour and saved me a huge trouble through everything else.
He dashed out of the closet and struggling to rip it off already – and I don't blame Vlad otherwise. At least, it showed how far he was coming. His arms crossed and he pouted at me dramatically. I held no choice in the matter, but…to what he is wearing definitely caught my attention.
"Daniel, could you tell Floramaria to give me something else to wear? I refuse to wear this publically! After all, I am a man as well!" He ranted.
He blushed and I walked up to him to hand him his breakfast. He was wearing a princess-like dress in silver-ish color with black trim. The dress was more like a gown almost, but long sleeves. It stopped to the bottom of his neck and trailed down to his feet. His long hair was braided in a masculine way, yet, his blushing revealed his own suffering of humiliation. My lips softly pressed against his cheek for some love affection.
"You know I can't control much of royal codes for clothes. It's only for today, okay?" I reminded him, "Besides, it's respectful and you're glowing with our baby inside of you." My hands soothed his bump, whereas I felt her kicking, "I know you are a man and this dress does not lower your manliness."
Vlad was eating his bagel and nodded along to what I said. He calmed down a lot and I was glad. He doesn't remember much of what he is wearing, but he has to wear a dress. If anything, the ghost zone's messed up on gender issues. I'd rather see him in his usual business suit, but that doesn't 'fit' for the royal. He gulped down his orange juice, relaxing his emotions by something he'd crave for. He doesn't know the actual hour of the meeting would start at. It had gave me more chance to hurry things up and say, oh, it's meeting time. He'll think there is an hour left and that is the best method to go by.
Right now, he should be thinking it is an hour left. In fact, we only have about fifteen minutes to get ready and he won't be easy to head over. He allowed the castle to take his plate and glass away automatically. He walked over to the bed and sat down. He sighed and that was my cue.
"Come on, Vlad, we need to meet up with Karian." His frightful fear kicked in and nervousness grew, "Vlad?"
"I thought we have an hour left?" He frowned.
I sheepishly chuckled, "I thought an hour extra of sleep would help you out. It's about fifteen minutes left to get ready."
His head shook, "I was hoping to check on the cat…I think I left her in the closet."
As all I ever knew, he was pulling this already. My hand waved below me to open a portal where the white and small cat walked through. I bent down, picked her up, and my eyebrow rose at him.
"She's fine now. I'm sure that Sam and Danni would take well care of her in our abstinent." I told him.
He nodded and Maddie meowed at me, and then licked my face. She tended to do this a lot to say hi for me and I was a bit surprised he had this cat for so long – that and he kept her in good shape. Sam would have complained if the cat was unhealthy overweight position. I set the cat down and sent her back to the house – considering she does not belong to the castle.
"I suppose you're right." His nervousness grew stronger by the second and this was not helping him.
I walked over to him and offered my hand. He accepted it and we were about to head over through the door to my office-
"Oh, dear, I feel nauseated, Daniel." I could tell he's a bit dizzy.
My head jerked and picked him up, "I've got something, let's get to the office first."
Vlad leaned his head onto my shoulder and relaxed in my arms – knowing that strength is unlimited for the both of us. I walked over the office that was practically down the hallway. Karian should be here in about five to eight minutes for us to head over to the meeting.
I set Vlad down on the couch he was used to sitting down at and I sat down next to him.
"Are you still feeling nauseated, Vlad?" I smiled.
He nodded lightly, "Yes…"
I sighed and my hand formed something in green like. His sapphire eyes observed my doing and waited patiently. The ecto energy slowly formed into small shape like pill and it was finally done after its glowing. I handed it over to Vlad and the castle appeared its glass of water.
"Take this, Vlad. It should ease your morning sickness." I handed him the ecto pill.
He accepted it, popped it into his mouth, and sipped water to swallow it down. My hand soothed his back and he leaned closely to me. Vlad liked to be affection by touch and if I had pushed him away, he wouldn't be this calm, as one would think.
"What is this pill, Daniel?" My mate asked.
I slightly shrugged, "It's an ecto pill. It has a natural healing ability and if you form it, you can direct to its source to solve any problem you need it to face. I've done it multiple times for Tucker, Sam, and Jazz. I attempted once for my parents, but they were confused on the fact it was too green to be a pill." My eyes rolled, "But, it does effectively heal anything in a matter of minutes."
He blinked and kept quiet. His being distracted was helping me on this part. Vlad doesn't want to be a part of the meeting any less than he does not want to wear the dress. My mate does look good in those and can't reject him or deny him that. Suddenly, his mood was practically glowing happily and I knew what that meant. Vlad loved the kicking inside of him and my free hand landed on his bump to feel our daughter's kicks.
"I cannot wait to feel the one you're carrying, Daniel. I-" Vlad sighed, dropping the topic automatically.
I frowned, "Vlad, what's wrong?"
Vlad held off answering right away, but it was something that had to be bothering him for quite a while. Why did I not talk to him more about his feelings? Oh, right…Vlad doesn't want to appear weak, but in my eyes, he wasn't. Tomorrow, I so had to make sure that we would talk about this and everything. My mouth began to open up-
The door whooshed to our ears and we diverted our attention to see Karian 'fetching' us. Vlad suddenly grabbed my hand out of his nervousness and I smiled at him.
"Come on, Prince Phantom and Mate of Phantom, the meeting is in a few minutes. We can't have either of you locked out on this. It's too important." She urged us already.
I pulled Vlad up and managed to get his feet walking out of this office. He stayed close by my side; whereas I have absolutely no space from him, and I kept soothing him.
"Just behave, Vlad. I promise everything will be fine." My lips tugged a smile for him.
Vlad trusted me with my words, but it did not lessen his worriness for some reasons. What was bothering him so much? I was nervous because this is a first time to attend a meeting…an actual meeting. However, this meeting goes from five in the morning all the way to midnight. The last hours…would be finding out how many kids we're expected to have, in a way…I wished my drunk-self had waited a year at least or give me time to bond with Vlad. By then, we wouldn't have to worry to be prepared for everything. We would have everything planned, but I doubted that Vlad and I would end up together. Especially, when I don't hold feelings for him.
Or, would we still end up in this matter? I wasn't too sure, but Karian did not waste her time to get us over to the meeting room. It was elegant like room here. The walls were golden brown touch with the trim of pale yellow of a pale yellow rose; it also had a pattern of roses. The floor was carpeted in royal design that had represented my kingdom of balance of stars and planets in light green – a bit faded green color like tree's leaves, but the other color mixed with faded blue like a pair of jeans. It held a calming setting to it, but swirled like the Milky Way galaxy. There was only one double-door entry and exit, but no one seems to care about that much.
The table was a one long length that had dragged down to about fifty feet at least, but everyone has a comfort space between each other. The chairs were almost a bench likes, but as Karian had promised, it provided comforters to where we will rest. The chairs could have had been mixed up with the thrones, but there was a big difference. These chairs are more metal, while as the thrones have actual gold mend into it with fine gems for it's designed. These chairs had a pattern of floral styles. They were in teal clad onto silver. It was beyond beautiful to look at, but no one cared about them.
The table had in the middle of the tablecloth to state Royal business with black silky material and its pattern slashing white to compliment it. It had tied the room together nicely and appropriately for this valuable event. I knew too well after studying for royalty course and what would be expected. This castle had truly held high expectation out of me or I'd become their next 'Pariah Dark'. I had no needs to set on horrid effect for anyone, especially I don't want to end up put to sleep to eternity or until someone frees me.
"Thank you for all coming and the meeting shall begin." I hate the way I was forced to begin the meeting in this kind of talking, but mandatory out of me.
They bowed their head shortly and I returned the same, which Vlad did follow through as well. To us, it was going to be an extremely long day. I wasn't too sure how this was going to work out, but I was a bit confident it will be smooth as possible.
"I hope you do not mind me joining, Prince Phantom." The familiar voice had joined into the room.
My head turned to the right and saw the lightning scar on his eye. His fine purple cloak made me recognized instantly. I had to hold together my surprised emotion in this very room because I have had not been warned of his incoming to the meeting. Karian seemed proud that I was handling this all too well. I greeted him a smile and pretend to see this nothing.
"Welcome Clockwork, it is wonderful for you to join us." I hate it to be acting like this; it was not define as myself.
The Master of All Time sat down in one of the spare chairs provided and everyone was respectful of him, even in a matter between great fear and weariness of him. We all have been associated by him for a purpose or reasons. I doubted that Vlad knew him much well and I had to face my own decision on overall.
I mentally took a deep breath, "Let us begin with the Ghost Zone difficulties and complaints on each of our side. I will go last and we will go around taking turns." I felt like I was practically treating them like kids, but it was the only way to avoid arguments in this meeting. That and Karian does not want us on severe stress during our pregnancies.
Everyone directed their attention over to the first person on my left side. Mother Nature was glistened with her mask leaves that had truly outstood her beauty. Her dress was similar to what Sam wore when Undergrowth took control over her, but it held a pine tree scent. Although, her nails were quite long and natural – absolutely no nail polish. Her hair was red hair as German red hair, but contains beauty to represent nature well. Her eyes bright as teal topaz as it had have caught my attention the most.
"The Ghost Zone is disrupting my power and The Frozen Zone is the source. With their core interrupting the balance, I find their overload winter caused out of balance, especially effecting my emotions." She stated, "I have sent messages to the source, but nothing is solved." Mother Nature had spoken very motherly.
Most of us had nodded and understood the problem immediately. I automatically knew what to do.
"I will consult to Frostbite and request him to hold off for two weeks." I offered the suggestions.
She nodded briefly, "That would be wise to do. However, it will need to be expected in a few timely matters. This way, if I am able to maintain my natures' balance, I can connect to Earth calmly."
"I will include that in the message." I smiled respectfully.
Mother Nature had accepted her answer. The others were quiet about this and accepted the basic proposal. In a way, I knew too well that this meeting would be several efforts about everything. I wasn't too certain if there will be a situation comes to arise more…impossible to settle anything. All of our heads turned to King of Weather – or otherwise known as King Season. He had grey hair, but it doesn't past his earlobes. He has a pair of pale blue eyes as almost white there nearly. He seemed to be in his thirties looking. He wore wizard-like robe as it clad dark blue with pale yellow, yet, his robe held rain and snow patterns to the trim of his sleeves and collar.
"I am having difficulties to the amount of water since the Prince Lake is too weak and cannot strengthen himself no more. I need to provide winter planning immediately or I cannot make it this year. It is dangerous as well for Mother Nature at this risk." His hand gestured towards her.
Everyone had to agree that would be different from one realized. Some of us nodded, pondered some useful or helpful ideas, and no had spoken for a while. Vlad glanced up at me, but he avoided saying anything right now. He knew what I was capable of and that was something I must be count on. The issue was the fact I could not exactly understand how, but I had to learn one way or another. I was rather glad to have Karian for all these arrangements.
Queen Yang picked up her head, who was shown as dark Gothic, – and much opposite than her twin brother Yin. She has black hair that trailed down to the end of her back. Her dress is completely black as well as her eyes.
"King Azure, I doubt you could have such strength for this. However, if you could rain for a week in the area. It will and may restore Prince Lakes' strength. Lower the temperature and block the sun as much as you could, until he has strength regain." Her voice had almost sent shivered down my spine.
I knew King Azure is King of Sky. I supposed he could be helpful to the source of other prince – unfortunately, only the main of balance King and Queens could come. I own the Ghost Zone due to King Pariah Dark, but everyone belong the main power of the universe. For example, Clockwork is the Master of all Time or Chaos is the order of all events' balance. However, Princess of Water would not belong here because of she belonged to the universes practically. I mentally shook that and regained my focus to see how this matter would have to be take care of.
King Azure who held bright blond hair that curled long at the nape of his neck, held grey eyes, and blue sky modern Japanese robe, "I will arrange to what I can do, especially to the fact I cannot cause trouble for King Feral."
King Season reasoned the idea and found there would be less difficult at the matter. Everyone has been willingly to cooperate well-mannered, especially Vlad and I weren't allowed to deal with stress right now. Vlad's emotions were between nervous, concerned, focused, and distracted all at once. Whatever it was bothering him, his mind wasn't there right now.
We carried onto the next person, erm, ghost, and Queen Chaos was eager almost. I knew why, but I had doubted much how Vlad would feel about this prophecy. After all, she created that prophecy due to Master of all Elements Queen and her mate. Her dress was similar to one of the crazy looks that singer lady has where everything was beyond bizarre for one to witness. She was mixed of colors between bright to dark, prime to neon, sparkles to dull, shapes to shapes, and mixed expressions for the dress to speak. Her eyes were wildly clad light brown and green emerald. Her male mate, Harmony as I've heard, wore simple robe/dress like Vlad in green grass, but no trim color.
"I find the entire Zone too quiet for the matter. It needs a little…liven up, otherwise, I cannot forward some plan. I believe an incoming party for the Ghost Zone would be nice for a change." Queen Chaos said, with quite a warning vibe from her.
I swore in the corner of my eyes that Clockwork smirked at what she has said. I had no clue what he was seeing in time, but I had to be on my guards about this if I must. He hummed calmly and everyone directed their attention over to him.
"I believe Karian may not know this since it is rare to have. A baby shower dedicated for our Ghost Zone King and his mate. A tradition for large gathering and social greeting, however, this first born will be an official next in line." The master of all time stated…way too calm.
Great…our daughter would become the queen someday and this wasn't what I had in mind. This must be the reasons why he chose to come and do something about the timeline business.
"Karian, please arrange it after the meeting and on a weekend please." I declared.
She nodded, yet, kept quiet at all cost. Queen Chaos and Clockwork were satisfied enough to their benefits. In a way, it was getting to the point of unexpected problems will be happening and I knew it wouldn't be pretty. The next person in charge would be now is Master of Elements Queen – or known as Queen Jolene (and a normal name, thankfully). She has light pink hair down to her shoulder, lovely Japanese Robe in red, white, and yellow in the floral pattern. Her eyes were solid peach color, but that stood out well. Her young mate was golden blonde with bright brown eyes, yet, she wore pink princess dress. She seemed sweet and very close to the queen mate. We waited for the queen to speak.
"I believe the old tradition needs to be restored for spiritual connection in the ghost zone. However, the young generations such as yourself, Prince Phantom and Mate of Phantom, are unaware of it." Her voice was gentle and understanding, I actually liked that.
I nodded, "I assume it is for the benefit of your powers' balance?" Queen Jolene nodded slowly, "I believe that is fine. You may set up schooling and arrange the business."
She lit up with such idea I gave her and pleased to gather this quickly. In a way, I'd owe Jazz for this and she helped. Next, we shuffled down to King Yin and Queen Yang. King Yin was opposite than his twin because he's completely white, but his eyes were light black. Their mate's between them and he seemed comfortable between them. He has dark hair, grey dress, and yellow eyes.
King Yin picked up his head with a respectable smile, "We need more balanced food in the ghost zone. I am afraid it is overpowering the ghosts too quickly." His voice was very much friendly.
Queen Yang darted her eyes at me, "There are too many ghosts developing their powers too soon. We had found food to be the cause of it."
I had to wonder what food that caused powers to develop quickly. If I had to think about it, when ghost fighting turned out easier than it was began…I was able to eat more regularly and I had constant control over my powers or new powers at those times. That would make sense, but I haven't exactly understood that.
"I will give access for change in food and given permission." I declared – I hate having to be this obvious.
King Yin was more satisfied, but Queen Yang looked like she could kill me in one second. I mentally gulped and hoped she doesn't. We carried onto the next person and it would be…Clockwork. He smiled at all of us, but the smile was more a serious one.
"There is a couple of area in the ghost zone that needs time to flow; however, I am not to interfere this one. If anyone more than likely to volunteer, help yourself." He stated it quickly.
I blinked and recalled one place, but that was because of Princess Dorathea. Man, I wished she's here and she would make me feel a little more comfortable and I already know her. Everyone in the room accepted that and went along with what he has told us. Now, it had led up back to me and all about an hour so far.
"I take it that everyone has sort problems now. Let's begin onto…"
We ended up talking about all available laws, updating some, and reminding ourselves the protective rights had served in. There were several ideas, but nerving to decide what would be wise to follow by and the master of time was absolutely no help at all or any avoiding on the help. Although, Queen Yang scared me twenty times more than Sam used to do before I became Phantom. Other than that, there were moments when Mother Nature would use her method to keep it all natural as possible.
It was quite a drag of time and felt like being here forever more than necessary. There were so much that we all had to cover some of the very simple things in the laws, especially to provide no loopholes or consequences if one broken the rules. If at all, Warden would have been thrilled to take charge of the rules. However, he has no control over that and it would lead to everyone into jail permanently. I mentally laughed at the fact he cannot by law, 'arrest' me because of the fact I am the King of All Ghosts – almost, that is.
There were some laws we couldn't do much about and chose to move on from the topic. No one was certain and brought up a partner law where in case that law cannot help Ghost citizens or Earth citizens. There was no much to prevent ghosts to their exploration into the Earth's world, but we managed to declare if one destroys too much damage of the world, they will be suspended of their powers for one month. If they had attempt more damage for the second time, they would be place into jail for a year. One last attempt, their power will be suppressed for five years and under surveillance for ten years.
If anything, powers meant importance for each ghost and their purposes. It would benefit me in my world and lessen ghost fights for the better – yet, I'd still have to put up with that. Queen Chaos was excited mainly for the Earth and ghosts' trouble may cause. Not only that, the need to figure out 'how much' damage would be considered and Clockwork used some example with his scythe to allow us to gather some ideal damages like property, lives, weathers, and so on. It hasn't been easy to settle it all down because everyone truly held a strong point. Other than that, it was something we had to avoid confusion before others could 'experiment' their chances and see what would be their consequences. We needed to be careful before risking this law to pass actually.
Vlad had been a tremendous help on some of his starting point ideas since he was used to business and laws. Vlad turned quite comfortable on some topic and grew on various suggestions that lay out to meet almost exactly everyone. We were all above the laws because we're the creators. If one broke them, we would simply have a warning. It does not cause any conflicts on Vlad and my part especially to the fact we're human. If our powers were suspended, we'd be fine. Plus, I've got Fenton Weapons and so does Vlad of his own.
Some of the other mates were questioning some of the reasonable considerations for our fellow ghost citizens. It drew much situation for to include and handle it at best to our leadership allowed. Everyone was like an academic debate, constantly figuring out the answers in all importance for the greater success, and competitive to strive out for the best. However, we all had strived for the best of our homes. Without attempt, there would be no one standing in this very room and drastic mess in the world.
This meeting held its greater importance because we're everything that tied in balance. We held so much power; it would be amazed to be known astheuniverse lord itself. However, each of us is divided into different section and controlled. Each of us is spoiled differently, but I can't speak much for myself. There was no way I'd live my life this way, but I have to. It was novelty to experience such treatment and I practically hated it. Vlad was already used to it, so it doesn't bother him much.
Now, the last law was done finally! It was time to get onto the next topic, but it was to get the time flowing quickly. I wasn't too sure how to speed it up other than keep going to discuss everything. That took five hours and everyone was finally taking a breather here.
I nodded once, "Excellent. Now, let us begin listing through wanted ghosts and sort them out-"
"-I'm hungry, Daniel." Vlad piped up and interrupted me.
I froze and did not expect that happening. Erm, I should have expected actually. We're both pregnant and everyone stared at Vlad with full of judgment. They were not pleased how my mate acted out of line and they spoke of their own term.
"He is not a proper mate. Whoever allowed him to interrupt like this so easily?" King Season commented.
Queen Yang agreed, "Obviously this one is not taught in his place well enough."
Queen Jolene shook her head, "Such disgrace. Prince Phantom, why are you allowing him to get away with this?"
Vlad had now realized why he needed to be quiet unless he could suggest something. His emotion rode on and I understood him, but there were rules for mates.
"Why don't you let Queen Yang place obedient arrest for your mate at her place," King Feral questioned, as his eyebrow rose.
Vlad suddenly turned tense at such question and I already knew he doesn't like this idea. He feared what I'd do, yet, they do not know much of us. This was causing conflictions already.
"Please, forgive my mate, he is currently four months going onto five and it is important he eats. I am pregnant as well and we do not wish to stray from meals' importance." I mentally took a deep breath, "I expected him to be my reminder to eat because I forget to eat when I am in such activities." My voice remained a calm tone, but held authority signature as well.
Some exchanged glances, some stared at Vlad's bump, and the rest kept their eyes on me. It wasn't easy to meddle out, yet, I refused to punish Vlad right now. That, I can't let Vlad think I'm no longer his lover. I wanted to be a good lover, even if I was doing it all for pretend, but it's for his sake!
"Prince Phantom is correct," Clockwork spoke up, "I fear that if their children turns into a miscarriage, it will be difficult for either of them to keep in order for important few months. I suggest a break for lunch meal is in order."
Everyone heard the master of all time and chose not to argue with him. I was so pleased to have him here, he saved so much trouble, and he did have a point. Vlad and I already love our kids, even if we haven't met them yet. My head turned to Karian and was prepared to open the door to allow chef carry in our food. Into my realization, I was practically starving.
The 'butlers' came in carrying the trays elegantly and set it down in front of us. They removed the cover and revealed our personalized meals. We're free to take a break and settled down for a little while. If one thing, I knew it will be another four hours, again with another four hours, and two more hours left to expect breaks. However, before anyone could leave would be the results…I'd admit, I was nervous too finding out.
…
There were over three thousand ghosts we had to cover and managed to get through half of them for eight hours – no one wanted to stop discussing during dinner hours. It was this crucial because of the fact some ghosts would be, well, obliterate. They had almost wanted to obliterate Skulker because they had felt he was such a threat to my kingdom and Vlad panicked because that was his best friend. I managed to convince him quickly and saved the idiot hunter. Honestly, Skulker was not going to be a threat to me anyway and he knew better to back off, especially Vlad's my mate – which beginning to seemed more natural to be adjust and accept him as mine in a way.
All I ever knew that break was close and we'd be free in two more hours. I haven't felt so damn tired for so long. I wasn't too sure how to stay up anymore. We already had our desserts. We should be done eating for the rest of the meeting, but everyone was so eager to get out of their seats to stretch or fly or something. It was cramping up my legs already and I can tell Vlad felt desperate to get up soon.
"I say he should be sent to Queen Yang for her prison punishment or to King Yin for therapy rehabilitation." King Azure commented his perspective.
Mother Nature shook her head, "I feel he will not change because of the fact he simply enjoyed using borrowed powers, he will do the same to each of us."
"Then, why not obliterate him?" Queen Chaos had to ask.
"I believe that will be better option and Mother Nature is correct. He has such greater habits to absorbs others power and cause huge trouble, it is better off to remove him from our homes." I stated.
No one wanted to argue these sorts of situation we had to face. Once it had felt declared, everyone got out of their seats and do as they pleased for ten minute break. Vlad went to help himself another glass of water by the refreshment table – since it appeared here about half an hour ago. He knew I was thirsty too because my voice almost stopped functioning. Honestly, I could not wait to go to sleep since everything was tiring me and Vlad was up too long. Thankfully, neither of us has to worry about our jobs since they won't need us immediately after this. Karian did warn we'd be sleeping longer than we may expect.
Clockwork floated up to me while I was just standing to get my legs to use its muscles.
"How are you doing, Phantom?" He spoke to me like himself.
It was nice to know he was more than glad to be himself. If I had to hear a few more times with 'Prince', I'd flip! Although, Clockwork was helping the situation out several times or making it worse than necessary.
"I believe you already know the answers, Clock." I smirked at him.
He chuckled lightly, "True. At least the last hours will whisk it all away for everyone. I will admit it has been ages since I attended to these meetings. I decided to see this in person since this is your first time."
My eyes rolled, but he did hold a point there for a moment. He knew me at the back his hands – or time. I mentally chuckled, but I doubted he's a mind reader. I haven't had come across to a ghost that's capable of that at all.
"Is there anythingIcan know this time?" My eyes narrowed at him.
Clockwork smiled, "I am afraid you already know I cannot give you the insight of the future. If I do, too many paths can change terribly."
I shuddered off the future I do not want happening, "Good point." I sighed, "Anyway, I better check on Vlad…I want to feel our daughter's kicking." I smiled.
The master of all time hummed at me, "I suggest," His voice lowered to the point only I'd be hearing him, "that you do not mislead him. You know how he feels about betrayal."
I stopped the attempt to move, "I'm going to mess up soon, aren't I?" I gulped.
"I did not say when, Phantom. I only warn for the best of others, especially you are the future King of the Ghost Zone." He explained simply.
In the corner of my eyes, Vlad was talking to King Feral (the king of all animals) and King Azure (the king of Sky). They were chatting, but Vlad's emotions were very much calmer than I hoped to be. It was nice to see they were relaxing and that they stopped judging him for one interruption. This has occurred to me and focused back to the ghost here.
"Thank you for rescuing me about eight to nine hours ago." I told him.
Clockwork nodded, "No problem…however, you are more of private punish type and Vlad does not handle that well. He would have lost control of himself and cause scene. Chaos knew that was coming due to her plans, but she hasn't expected myself to be there. I am not part of her plans at all."
I chuckled, "You know, why you aren't with her?"
"She is not my type, I am afraid. I am strongly forbidden to have a mate."
When he had admitted that to me, it broke my heart to hear that. I began to understand how Vlad truly felt when I told him he could not date anyone. My head nodded to show him that I grasped his point, but I had to wonder if he attempted to mate anyone or wanted company.
"Well, that's fucked up, Clock. I hope you find somebody, whether it's forbidden or not." I smiled.
He smiled back, "I certainly agreed, but fear not, with you in the timeline permanently, I am not in concern."
That sounded much like a compliment. I wanted to go feel our daughter's kicking, so I waved at the time master, and headed over to Vlad. He doesn't realize I was coming up to him and my arms curled around his bump. I felt her kicking quickly and Vlad blushed furiously. It suited him well and my attention was on everyone.
"I think somebody knows daddy is here." I smiled at Vlad.
King Azure nodded, "Ghost infants are very aware of their parents' presence. Thankfully we do not have to worry about not understanding them in their newborn and infancy years."
Vlad and I exchanged looks, pondering what they had meant, and it was not something we were sure of. King Feral shook his head and glared at his mate.
"You do realize they know nothing of ghost pregnancy?" King of Animal was not pleased.
King of Sky blinked and sheepishly smiled, "I apologize. Ghost babies are capable mind linking their parents until they become toddlers. They begin to speak well by the time they are toddlers and once they're no longer toddlers and little children as they should be, they will be developing their own powers and may blossomed late as well." He explained.
I blinked and this had pleased Vlad much happily about our future children. He took comforts into my arms and settled his hands on the bump of his'.
"Ah, interesting information. That would certainly save us the trouble beforehand." Vlad smiled.
I agreed, "Yeah, I'd be asking Frostbite if this is all normal. Apparently, normal is normal." I kissed Vlad cheek.
He blushed furiously, but he knew I was loving him respectfully. At the back of my mind, it was echoing what Clockwork had told me about attempt to betrayal. I knew what happened to the first betrayal and that was my dad. The second was Danni and all he wanted was love. Yet, if a third time happens…it's a horrible strike out. Above all, I refused to let Vlad go now.
"I believe it is time to return to meeting and finish this up by midnight. Both of you seem desperate to sleep. I have wonder how being half human is affected by all this." King Feral hummed delightfully – yet, creepy – tone.
I chuckled and pretend to agree. Vlad handed me a glass of water and we drank some before returning to our seats once more. I gulped down so much water to the point I finished the whole glass. Vlad only drank half of it and that was fine. He wasn't talking that much unlike me. I set the glass down and we walked over to the seats. Everyone drew in together and the meeting was almost over.
"Let us finalize our meeting. Is there anything we must discuss?" I figured this way; we have plenty of time to get it out of the way.
I didn't expect that we'd finish the wanted list of ghost citizens that much in eight hours straight. That must have been something else. Queen Jolene's peach eyes lit up with satisfied expectation in her way. Vlad would not like to learn something new, but he has no choice in this either. At least the prophecy did not say which child.
"As you can see, Prince Phantom, the previous king, Pariah Dark, has ceased aging of my mate. You know that I cannot properly seduce her because of her minor status. We longed for a child and we hope you would be considerate of us to grant her to age normally and where she should be now." She stopped briefly and watched my reaction, "In an exchange for the favour, our child or children will wed one of yours."
Vlad almost jumped out of his seat with his expression popping out like crazy. They were filled with hundreds of emotions, which I had assumed he had millions of thoughts running at once and he could not approve such idea. I'd have to agree, but I must do business and he should understand that through all. I nodded to accept her situation and offer, but Vlad did not like what I had done…or about to do.
"I grant your mate to grow and age forward for the exchange of prophecy stone favour." I declared.
Vlad was on a shock mode – or in a heart attack emotion. Everyone was pleased and the young mate was aging to where she should be by now. I fascinated by the king's power and how this was much helpful. She had grown into a beautiful lady and turned out to be the close age as the queen. Queen Jolene was thrilled and almost crying to the fact, they can have a family they dreamt of. Vlad wasn't shocked anymore and he eased up by their expressions. It spoke a lot more than words can give them.
"Thank you, Prince Phantom." Queen Jolene smiled.
I nodded to return my thanks. My hand soothed Vlad's hand and he noted that this was mostly business and it was only something to conclude to the prophecy stone.
"Now, we must have a private discussion, Prince Phantom," Queen Chaos announced, "We must determine the amount of spawns in a best matter we believe."
Her voice literally felt petrified as Queen Yang was and I refused what they had in mind. Clockwork presented the shield that was purple dome, but no sounds were coming in and out with the shield in its presence. Karian seemed to be relieved to be herself again. This meant to literally take a break with being a king for a while.
"Daniel…why on earth did you place our children into business?" Vlad was worried to the point he may attempt to disappear – but I knew that won't happen because we're connected through mating.
I sighed, "The prophecy stone is somewhat a big deal. According to the stone, it says, a king would free a certain queen's mate will lead to grander benefit for the ghost zone. Love will rule all the above." I sighed, "I just hope one of children will fall in love with one of their children."
Vlad hummed, "I suppose…this is a dangerous business to be in. I thought this was by choice?"
I snorted, "It is, but it's something we must be careful in doing."
He finally understood, "At least they are happy," He smiled.
He was happy about the family situation was working out for them. Currently, I had to wonder what will be of us. My eyes checked up on the private dome and they held argument political expression. They were more determined to set a number to agree and finalize. Yet, it wasn't easy from the way it had looked. One was too angry about something, another was disapproving, and the rest were confounded about all this. Clockwork…he already knows, but he won't say a thing from the looked of it here. Then again, he cannot interfere too much of the timeline anyway.
Mother Nature was throwing a mother lecture out to them – were they thinking bigger amount than they want or too small to their account? Suddenly, a burst of extraordinary fear came out and my attention directed immediately to Vlad. He looked a bit pale and he was watching them. I soothed his arm, but it was not helping him.
"What's wrong, Vlad," I had to ask.
His sapphire eyes kept staring at them. He wasn't paying attention to me, but that didn't bother me. It was his emotions that were bothering me. My hands rotated on his back repeatedly, hoping he'd settle down, and it was nerve wrecking almost. Karian stood in the same spot for the entire seventeen hours and she'd be there for another two hours. Nineteen hours of meeting had to be crazy, but it was something to get things done for the good of Ghost Zone and Earth. It was so overloading and time dragging about everything. I thought this would fly by, yet, it was more of days went on and on pointlessly. This was the biggest patience I ever had out of myself the most. I don't know how I was going to be a king when I'm just half human. I have to live my human life as well.
Vlad hasn't leaned back in his seat or in my arms. Now, this has dawned on me. He was nervous about the amount we're expected. How could have I been so clueless? It was something I hadn't thought about before or experienced Vlad in such behaviour he was presenting now. I was not too nervous because of the fact I wanted to be on his side and show him that I can be a lover.
"They're done." Vlad commented and he gulped.
I turned and saw they were satisfied to the result they came up with. I held Vlad closely to my side and smiled at him.
"It will be fine, Vlad. We'll make it work." I told him…he needed these words, but what words?
He softly nodded, but it did not faze him too much. Clockwork was finally lifting the purple dome with his scythe. They were arguing for almost a good hour and forty-five minutes. It must have been a serious decision to pull up together as a team. That and it must have been such a long time to do this since the last time they had a baby or new mates for the kings or queens.
King Yin kept his eyes on me and I noted that he was going to be the one to tell us. He folded his hands and rested them at the table. He watched both of us in readily news to announce.
"We have come down the amount of spawns is ten. We expect that amount within fifteen years at least." King Yin announced.
Ten!? I was sort of hoping four or less! This was crazy talk! Unfortunately, I knew better and they made it final. I couldn't change their mind and it was highly expected. Vlad, on the other hand, wasn't reacting much of a big deal here. It was almost as if he had expected this. For now, I nodded along to accept the responsibilities to have ten children, which would be a lot.
Everyone was satisfied to everything of our accomplishment today. They were pleased and relaxing for the last fifteen minutes. We couldn't just leave yet until midnight arrives.
"Prince Phantom, we would like to state that we will visit once we have our child and allow our child to interact with your children. This way, they can be themselves without trouble." Queen Jolene commented.
I smiled, "That would be excellent to do. If Vlad and I are not here when you visit, simply let Karian know you needed of our attendance. She knows how to reach us." I had to deal with this because she will be a part of the family in the future, at least I won't have to worry about young marriage at least.
"Thank you. My mate and I look forward to these…play dates as they call it."
Somebody obliterate me right here, right now! I was only taking one day at a time and she already made plans in action. We ended up talking about simple ideas like pictures, birthdays, holidays, and some random surprise visits. Apparently, Vlad and I have privilege to visit their castle (because each of us would need each other's privilege or there will be war). In a way, it's like a gift here. We accepted her offer to the privileges and bid each other good nights. Everyone left and my mate and I went to our room.
Once we arrived to our room, the castle changed our royal clothes to nightclothes. We crawled into bed, I held him in my arms, and we fell asleep instantly without caring a second thought about anything else. All we needed was sleep and that was it. If anyone interrupts will face a consequence with me, laws, schedules, or not, sleep came first to us. Everything was over and glad to be over.
A ghost for Thermos?
