The door slammed shut, my head turned to see the oldest son, Crimson. he was not smiling from the looks of it. I had to wonder what was going on. The younger children were all sleeping from the long trip today, except for Daphne, one of the twin daughters Vlad gave birth to. She was third baby being born, followed up by Velma. Daphne happened to be burying her nose in her book.

"Crimson, something's on your mind?" I blinked, not driving yet.

His shoulders sagged down…that can't be good, "Just a jerk…"

My eyes narrowed and turned to him, "What did this jerk do to you?"

He shrugged, "Just shoved me into the locker as all for the third time." He muttered, almost too quiet hear.

I frowned, "Who is this jerk?"

"Jason Baxter," He glanced out the window.

I sighed, "Of course. Father like son, I used to have Dash Baxter shoving me in the locker numerous of times. I should have known better." My head turned and saw a car coming down the lane I was about to merge with.

"Wow…how often did you get detention?"

My eyes rolled, "None. I was never caught, but I guess being a hybrid is an advantage since I have powers that he doesn't have."

Crimson hummed, stared at the window, and dropped the conversation right there. Sometimes, I have wonder what it'd be to be open about my lifestyle when I was younger …unfortunately, the damage was done. I dropped the conversation as well and drove along the way to our home.

That, however, has to change. I won't tolerate any Baxter to control or damage any of my kids during their education. This would have to be handled immediately and might have to figure out how to handle. I think mom might have a suggestion…I couldn't help it, but i feel the need to place my kids in a bubble, a ghost proof one. Unfortunately, it was difficult enough to deal with that.

I parked the car in front of the mansion that Vlad owned for years since he moved here around the time I began fighting ghosts. The one nearby college was sold and we chose to stick around with the people we were comfortably familiar with…let alone to trust anyone to babysit our kids. Danni did enjoy quality times with them, unlike Sam. However, it didn't bother either of them. Sam eventually involved herself like an aunt to be by the times they were able to talk and walk. Vlad found it rather disturbing and I had to explain to him about her relationship with her cousins.

Crimson and Victoria dashed out of the car to do what they needed to do, probably getting snack. I was waking up the younger ones before the rest of the kids. They have the energy to be very hyperactive, but they have taken advantage of using their ghost powers at home. The best thing my parents did was invent a device to inform us what each child is using their power, so we'd be prepared in case a public exposure. The kids were able to understand that we're the only people of our own kind to be like this and have powers. It was how we were all born – of course, we didn't tell them about how Vlad and I came to be like this. It was best to avoid mentioning about almost dying in the ghost portals blasting us.

Vlad and I came to agreement that we wouldn't want confusion for our kids or telling people – aside the fact they are half ghosts, as it is, kids could only handle one secret at a time until they were older around eight or so. We hadn't told the kids who's their mom or carried them during the pregnancy. I sighed, it was beyond too uncertain about this myself…there were times Vlad and I wanted to completely shield them to keep them safe.

I picked up the youngest ones, Lavender who I carried for the last of my pregnancy, and the twin boys Vlad carried named Jack Junior and Travis. Lavender has Jazz's hair, but Vlad's eyes…I could see it the most. Other than that, she has my mom's nose and often too quiet for some reasons. She's only eight years old, as Jack Jr. and Travis. However, the last twins were rather different than I had ever imagined. Jack Jr. happened to be quite active for his age and often running around the house half the times. He would often be eager to see Dan and asked him to do a race for the run. So far, there's such determination in his teal eyes to beat Dan someday. As for Travis, he spent so much time with my mom on every single invention and questions a lot. Mom didn't mind and gladly to teach him science and everything. As it was, the school wore the kids out easily still and I carried them into the house.

"Danny, we'll take the kids from you while Vlad and you are out for a while." Mom's voice caught my attention.

I glanced up, "Um, yeah, Vlad isn't home yet. But, dad, could you take the kids and watch them for me?"

Dad grinned as goofy as he could ever be. He scooped the sleeping children out of my arms and held them well. There was one thing that dad loves and that is having to be around little kids. Other than fudge and us, this happens to great thing to do for him. There was something about mom tilting her head and kept her violet eyes directly and only on me.

"What's wrong, sweetie?" She didn't like the way I didn't explain to dad why just him.

I sighed and crossed my arms, "…do you ever feel like you knew something was wrong and taking action immediately?"

She softly smiled, "Always, but we must understand that we have to provide the world for our little ones, despite of how old they are."

I nodded, "Yeah, but didn't you just…know and want to find out what happened?"

She sighed, "Yes, unfortunately, before I found out about being a hybrid, I knew something had happened and hoped you'd tell me. Sweetie, did something happen?" She frowned.

That's what I didn't wish to hear, "Crimson told me the kid Baxter was bullying him and…almost…just almost a part of me wants to stop that bully kid, but he'd demand me to explain why I did that because no father does that to their kids."

Her violet eyes weren't fooled to what I said, "Demand to explain why you did to their kids?"

I ruffled my hair and glad Vlad wasn't home yet, I could tell he was in a good mood today, "My ghost side would keep the kids home immediately, I'm already seeing Baxter's kid as a threat to the point I want him in jail instantly and locked up for life. I want to hold Crimson until I felt he's completely safe."

She hummed, "It seems like it's time that you tell him," She smiled.

My eyes snapped open, "What? But our youngest ones aren't…" I blinked, "…they're eight years old. That was the deal." I gulped, "But how am I going to talk to Vlad about the kid being bullied?"

"What?" The deep warning rippled through obviously and the tone of his voice was frightening without a second thought.

I spun around and saw his glowing red eyes, yet, dark as blood. He marched up right to me with the most intense glare to face and caused me to feel the shiver slipped up my spine. I took a deep breath and reminded myself that he was a submissive mate of mine. I chuckled nervously.

"Vlad, let's be human again." It was the only thing that I could think of without endangering the world or cause a bloody-bath to the world.

He blinked and frowned, "Daniel…what did I miss about one of our children?"

Mom patted on my shoulder, "Why don't you talk to him and sort this out?" She smiled, "Jack and I will be watching the kids."

I nodded and mom did not waste her time leaving the room. I took a deep breath and lured my husband over to our bedroom, knowing mom and dad would be with the kids…and our room had to be sound-proof. Well, the kids wouldn't hear anything from our room, but we can outside of our room. Once Vlad and I were in our room, he sat down and greeted my eyes. My feet did not dare to move and crossed my arms as I remained where I was.

"What's going on this time, Daniel? One of our sons is being bullied by Baxter's kid…"

His eyes lit up, "What? Did you do something?"

I grimaced, "No, but I told him that Dash never gotten detention when he bullied me. However, his bully is in detention."

"Which son, Daniel? Do remember we have five sons, however, to subtract the younger ones due to the fact they are not in high school from the sound of it. I suspected either Crimson or Raphael. Am I correct?" His lips snarled so easily.

I chuckled, "Yeah, you are…the first child I carried."

Vlad's fingers clenched the blankets as his nails pierced so tightly to the point of ripping through easily, "What-" He seethed through his teeth, "-did he do to our son?"

My head shook, "Vlad," I hugged myself tightly, "I wanted to wrap him in a bubble and kill Dash's son in a second."

His ectoplasm concentrated around his fists, "WHAT DID HE DO TO OUR SON?" His ectoplasm darkened to deepest blood color I have ever seen.

I gulped and backed up against the wall. fear rose inside of me and saw so much anger of a submissive mate of mine. I shielded my eyes and pushed out my dominate side for him.

"Shoved him in the locker, but-"

A heavy growl was even difficult to face now…caused my body to shiver, "-fuck him, I will torture him to the point he regretted laying a single finger on my son-"

"-Enough, Vlad!" I found my king side's power naturally, "What example are we giving to our kids?" I scowled, "They're our kids and they believe their mother just gave birth for us. It's time," My blue eyes revealed to see the man unfixed by this problem.

My husband rose from the bed and marched up to me, "-This kid needs to be punished, Daniel. no one hurts my child and gets-"

As much as I hated to interrupt his anger, but I needed to distract him fast, "How would you feel that I told you I didn't know whether I loved you or not until after we were married?" My brows furrowed immediately.

Vlad took back before he took one more step closer to me. Until…it has dawned on me. My eyes snapped widely and shook my head desperately as I could. My hands rose to my head and fingers slipped through my dark hair. He stared at me with such disbelief and I could tell by his feeling that he was beyond betrayed no less.

"-That's not what I-I meant to say, Vlad, I-"

"Get out." He demanded, with several emotions running at once with was obvious.

"No, I-I messed up what I was sayin-"

"GET OUT!" His head snapped.

I froze at what he said. He didn't realize that he was fighting against the king, especially as my mate. My shoulders straightened itself out before I could registered the fact my true King side was overcoming the weak side of me. The whimpered escaped from Vlad's mouth and knelt onto his knees without any control. The glare burns onto him and the whimpering increased as his head bowed. His eyes stared right at the floor, not even to see my feet.

"Who is in control?" My authority voice was now in action…oh, ghosts!

His lips quivered and the willing side drew out of him, "You are."

"What is your role to me?" My chin held up to strengthen the power within me.

His head bowed down even more, "A submissive mate."

"You have threatened the king and that is not what a submissive mate should be doing. You are to listen to him or you will be punished." The voice was no longer mine. I couldn't dream of punishing him.

Vlad nodded, knowing that he could not speak unless questioned to or demand to explain. Once the powerful king side was in comforts and assure of his behavior taken care of, I immediately knelt down and wrapped my arms around him. My voice was normal, but whispering sounded more reasonable right now.

"Vlad," He hasn't dared to look at me, "I do love you, so much, and you have no idea how happy you made me." My lips pressed against the temple of his' and pulled him onto my lap, as he curled up onto me, "Please…understand that I was scared of what I felt. To ruin everything, if it wasn't real."

His silver strands fall down to covered face, "Why…?" His devastating feeling was washing over him, "did you not trust me to know? I could have made things easier for you, Daniel…I am your submissive mate and I know my place."

My head shook and pulled Vlad's head up in both of my hands. I caressed his head so carefully and brushed back his hair. There were hopeless in his eyes already and hurt. He was so hurt, that the water was building up in his eyes, and his cheeks glowing such bright colors. My thumb wiped the fallen tears that began to trail down to his cheeks.

"I was scared before I was pregnant, but after a while, I fell in love with you more than ever. When I kissed you, I wasn't too sure if it was real or a pregnancy thing. After Crimson was born, the feeling was still there and I knew I love you for real. Do you have any idea how happy I was that I fell in love with you? That is you and only you? Clockwork told me I can have more than one mate, but I chose to have one mate." My forehead against his' and he kept trying to read my eyes, while yearning for something…"I love Vlad Alexander Masters Plasmius because you are my other half. My other ghost half, my lover half, my partner half, my best friend half, and so much more." A smile revealed, "I would do anything for you, Vlad, and I wouldn't have gone back on my words. Hell, if you wanted one or two more kids, I do it in a heartbeat."

His emotions were slowing down and he was listening to each and every word as he hoped. I caressed his head and smiled at him that nothing could destroy what we have now.

"Is this the only thing you hid from me?" His eyes were struggling to read everything at once, knowing his hopeful was strong for me easily not to miss notice.

My head shook, "Only presents or surprise parties I would hide from you. That was…something I wanted to talk to you about, but you have to understand, it was a lot of emotional consequences I did not want to face."

Vlad stared right at me, "Daniel, you wanted me as a partner originally and for years, we're lovers…why couldn't you have talked to me about this?"

A sigh slipped my mouth, "Because…I was afraid, Vlad, I was afraid to hurt you and set things apart between us. We'd be like my parents arguing during Christmas holidays and the kids would be miserable."

His head rested onto my hands, not using any muscle as he relaxed, "You had me worried, Daniel. I nearly thought you truly don't love me all those times," He finally smiled, "and felt relieved to know I am wrong in my assumption."

I chuckled and hugged him. He hugged me back and felt…like it was right again. Vlad was happy again, so much joy going on with him, and I couldn't believe him! I felt exactly the same!

"But," Now he wasn't distracted anymore, "I will not tolerate anyone harming my child in anyway. Please tell me this brat is taken care of?" He pulled back and scowled heavily.

I nodded, "He was caught and received a detention, but our youngest ones are finally eight years old and you know we made a deal that-"

He sighed, "-they would know the truth how they came to be." His lips curled upward, "I hope to hear them call me mom."

My head shook and refused to disagree with my husband on this. Vlad wanted to be known as mom to our family, but the kids would learn who carried and gave birth to…honestly, I was rather glad for a short few times pregnancies and Vlad had carried either twins or triplets at the most, well, one time of one baby. There was one time he was complaining that I was carrying the boys and he hasn't yet. Until he gave birth to the last triplet of the eighth child, Vincent, he was content. He wanted to give birth to a boy and he got it. Of course, the last pregnancies he had was twin boys. He was glad and happy enough to give birth to more boys. I knew Vlad wanted a son of his own and I gave him a family he wanted for so long. Of course, daughters are precious to Vlad as well to myself.

"Oh, that I will not stop you from," I smirked, "But, we'll have to do it on the weekend to give them time and thoughts about this new secret added to their life. Right now, you have a party and I happen to be one of the many lucky spouses that can go to this party."

Vlad chuckled, "VladCo is certainly happy with the excellent success for ten years straight in a row, which is rare. I do look forward to my employees' spouses or lovers or whoever they bring to celebrate."

My eyes rolled, knowing that he managed to keep his company successful by the time Victoria was a year, but the second year…not so much. When she and Crimson turned three, Vlad was pleased how the company was heading and aimed to improve much successfully. The products are turning out to be so useful, designed the flawlessly, and well progresses. They managed to last it for a decent amount of lifetime and it'd have to be any devices that cannot only protect a citizen from ghosts, but help ghosts as well. Vlad did flip a few times when he found out severe injuries like internal wounds. As the founder of his company, he expressed his view onto 'Phantom' for others and stated what would happen if we did not have the hero to protect us, if anything were to happen. Surprisingly enough, the people he hired had understood and accomplished well.

Of course, I told Vlad that I did not like firing people. He figured out about losing the ghost servants did bother me, as it still do. Vlad would explain to me beforehand he could fire or let go his employees. He would have them go home early and to come in early morning to decide their consequences. My husband would come home and discuss this with me, to decide as a team whether this person truly deserves to be fire or not. Once we agreed, Vlad would meet the person the day after and handled it well. There were very small forced to leave for those workers, but the guilt gnawed at me no matter what. At least, those workers would have given time to realize the damages and able to warn their family or someone close to them about this.

Vlad still have a few other companies, but he's still a billionaire. I ran my books on ghosts and people were intrigued by such information and facts. It wasn't every day to happen for outsiders and tourists found themselves prepared to Amity Park with less trouble on the hand. This made my life so much easier when it was coming to fight ghosts.

For now, Vlad needed me with him as a guest to his company's celebration. If anything, it was held in the finest Country Club. All the workers would be free to bring their spouse, lover, partner, or someone they truly wish to celebrate the fact they are the only company to succeed such helpful impact on the society, economic, and environment. My thoughts were leading to the kids…how they would react, once they learn the truth. Somehow, that scared me no less.

A thermos for thoughts? :)

Next chapter should be posted by next month June 2014, probably before father's day.
