Hello everyone. I know I've been away a long time, a lot longer than I promised I'd ever be, but things haven't been so hot at home. Earlier in the year my mother was diagnosed with cancer, and it's been weighing on me pretty heavily. I won't go into details, but I think you'll all understand how that would be an inspiration drainer. I'm sorry for keeping you from the stories for so long, but I am really trying to get back into the swing of things. Don't worry about the next (last) chapter, it's already done and waiting. From here I'll just continue as normal. I apologize for any repeat reviews, the server is screwed up. Thank you all so much for your patience.
Me: Hello? Are those readers I seehear sense? I'm back, let's let the chaos rain!
Gutsy: AARRGH! I thought you were gone for good this time!
Me: How about you read the first review? You'll probably be dead by the end of the chapter, if this goes like normal.
Gutsy: Sure-wait, what do you mean DEAD?

Hefty: He knows we can still see him, right?

FrittzyCrazy chapter 3 . Jan 20
Sorry this is a guest review, but I'm not allowed to review on this chapter.
5 Tons of Caffeine, coming up! Back the truck up Mac!
*Jumbo Truck dumps the 5 ton of chocolate and coffee on A Drama Queen and Co.*
I hope that's enough.
Go Smurfette! Girl power to the max! Oh, right. That incredibly annoying fear of water and swimming got in the way of her triumph. Great, Now I feel guilty for rooting for Smurfette.
Oh Goody! Complications are always so much fun, especially when they definitely aren't expected. Makes me Wonder what that means for the next chapter.
I agree that it's certainly no fun to bash people into the ground if they aren't up to full strength. You both get a good rest, do you hear me? Hmmm... I hate it when people start to get rational around here. How about A compromise? Instead of bashing both of them, I will instead direct my full anger at one of them. However you choose the *un*lucky winner is fine, I just need to bash somebody.
Me: Hah...haha...MWAH HA HA!
Hefty: Feed him to Fritzy! I don't wanna die! And you need me for Compulsions! (Check it out)
Me: Valid point...
Gutsy: I've got da' smurfy Scottish accent, lassie.
Me: Hefty, start running. And yes, I agree, rationality is horrible.
Smurfette: Never feel guilty for rooting for girl power! Even if I did almost kill some one.
Hefty: Someone, rescue me! Or kill Gutsy too!
FrittzyCrazy chapter 3 . Dec 29, 2013
Thank you so much. I need some target practice, and Hefty and Gutsy need to be taught a lesson. What a coincidence. Oh, and both of you, no matter how far you run, or how hard you try, I will find you. And. You. Will. Pay! This is a fantastic chapter, and I can definitely see this as canon. In my opinion, Grouchy both does and doesn't deserve the bloody nose. However, blood is blood, so it was still a good scene. I can't wait to read the next chapter, but until then... GET BACK HERE YOU TWO!
Me: Well, you got your wish. Now you'll both die.
Gutsy: Bu-but... the accent!
Me: Thanks so much for the cannon compliment, you don't know how much that means to me!
Sweetie Smurf chapter 3 . Dec 10, 2013
Pfft. This chapter was hilarious! I loved when she fell from that plant-not that I have anything against Smurfette and Grouchy, the situation was the funny part :D yay hefty, gutsy and papa got a cameo! Woo! Don't kill gutsy he's one of my favorite smurfs!
Smurf Bless!
-SS (Sweetie Smurf) :)
Me: Wow, Gutsy got immunity again.
Gutsy: No lassie can resist the accent. I knew it!
Me: Would The Accent like to do the disclaimer?
Gutsy: The Smurfs belong to Peyo, except for that bitter little bugger Hefty, who got what he deserved
Me: Gutsy, be respectful to the dead.
Hefty: What?!
Gutsy: Oh, alright, he belongs to Peyo too.
Me: Enjoy the Chapter!
Grouchy was still wet. Still very, very wet. Smurfette could tell that it was bothering him, with the way he was shivering in the hot summer heat.
"Are you sure you're okay?" she asked as she laid a hand on his shoulder. Grouchy grumbled under his breath and clenched his jaw. While he looked peeved, he still leaned in to the warm touch.
Smurfette smiled kindly, her motherly instincts in full overdrive. As she walked, she pondered on Grouchy's fear of water. Who'd have thought that the big bad wolf of smurfs was… what was the word Brainy had used, the really big one? Hydrophobic. It was rather... she refused to think pathetic, but it was most certainly sad.
"Stop it."
To her confusion, Smurfette found Grouchy snarling at her.
"Don't look at me like I'm just a big teddy bear that needs a hug. I hate pity, and don't need yours."
Smurfette blushed and averted her eyes. She knew she was as easy to read as an open book, and it had been foolish to let such mean emotions play out on her face like that, not to mention rude, and…
A small tug at her hand had Smurfette bumping shoulders with Grouchy, and sparks cascaded down her arm. Smurfette hesitated before gently prodding back, forgiving and apologizing all at once. It surprised her how in sync the two of them were, not even needing words…
…like now, she thought as Grouchy stopped and turned, letting her pull him into a soft kiss.
It was quick, but lingered long enough to discover he tasted like black coffee, bitter and scorching. Smurfette let herself fall back, giggling softly. She looked up at Grouchy, grinning, and was taken aback. Grouchy was… not pleased.
"WHAT WAS THAT?" he yelled as he stumbled back, eyes wide.
Smurfette gawked up at Grouchy, shaken. "I don't understand," she said weakly. Grouch glared at her. "You seemed pretty sure of yourself a few seconds ago. What were you trying to do?"
"W-well, I um," Smurfette stuttered.
"Did you think I wanted… that?" He laughed weakly.
"But everybody loves—" Smurfette protested, but realized with dread this was the wrong thing to say, as Grouchy seemed to swell up like a big puce balloon.
"Oh, everybody loves you, don't they? Everyone want to be kissed by the Smurfette. I suppose you thought I'd be star stuck by your loveliness and fall down on bended knee?"
"It wasn't like that," Smurfette argued. "It's just I promised Savina—" she immediately haulted, feeling panicked.
Grouchy stilled and became very, very quiet. He stared into Smurfette's eyes, and she knew he could see in them everything she had been trying to do.
"I tell you, Savina, not one smurf. Not a single one."
The princess quirked an eyebrow. "Not even that broody one — what was it, Grumpy?"
"Grouchy," Smurfette corrected, "and he wouldn't stand a chance."
Savina's eyes twinkled. "Well, if you're so sure no boy can resist the Smurfette charm, why don't you prove it?"
Said heartthrob smiled proudly and placed her hands on her hips. "Sure. I'll melt Grouchy's icy heart before the day's smurfed."
The scene flashed behind Smurfette's eyes, and Grouchy's face darkened. He twirled on his heal and stalked off, fuming. Desperately Smurfette lunged for him, her hand wrapping around his sturdy bicep.
"Let go of me."
Smurfette tightened her grip, her bottom lip trembling. "Grouchy," she pleaded, "I never expected to… to…"
"Fall in love?" Grouchy asked tightly.
A spark of hope ignited in Smurfette's chest, and happy tears shone in her eyes. She breathed a sigh of relief—
"Well, I hate you."
Smurfette felt something in herself crack. Horrified, she watched as Grouchy tugged himself loose and walked away, leaving her alone and very, very cold. When he had completely vanished, when she knew he wouldn't look back, she collapsed to the ground, sobbing. She hugged her knees to her chest and shook with the weight of the terrible mistake she had made.
Me: Read and review!
