I entered the community centre earlier than usual, my alarm clock went off an hour earlier than it usually does so I ended up leaving 20 minutes earlier then I usually do on a week day, I didn't realise what the actual time was until I was half way through my journey. I entered through the main entrance, collecting a chocolate milkshake and breakfast bar on the way. My footsteps echoed through the empty building as I walked through the corridors. It was quiet and peaceful, looking at it now you wouldn't have thought that two murders took place here. I was all good and ready to sit down, break open my breakfast bar and light a fag when I heard a muffled noise. I froze.

Staying absolutely still I strained my ears to hear out for it again, there it was again but this time a bit more distinct and the noise came more frequently. It soon dawned on me that the sound was someone snoring. I creased my eyebrows in confusion and got out of my seat and followed the sound, it was coming from the balcony above me. I sauntered over to the stairs and placed my hand on the banister, making sure my hand grazed against it as I took a couple of steps up until I arrived at the top. In front of me was a lying figure on a mattress snoozing away without a care in the world with extraordinary, curly hair and a lean, lanky, taut, body. It took me only a matter of seconds to realise that those curls belonged to Nathan.

I prudently took a couple of steps towards him until I was hovering right above him and bent down so my lips were right next to his ears and then screamed, 'SHE HAS HERPES.' His eyes snapped open and he jolted upwards, I would've laughed if his head didn't smack against mine in the process.

'Ouch!' We both cried out in pain in unison as we clutched our foreheads.

'What was that for?!' He exclaimed.

'What was that for?!' I countered.

'Ow, jesus my head kills! Your forehead is ridiculously strong.' He commented, I just stuck a middle finger up at him as one hand still held my forehead.

'What was that you shouted in my ear?' He asked, now getting over the pain.

I smirked, 'She has herpes.'

'Now why would go and say a thing like that?'

'Bad experience?' I mocked. I then took in his surroundings, he was lying on a mattress with all of his belongings, I presume, surrounding him. It looked as if, 'Are you living here?' I questioned him. He froze completely.

He then laughed, 'Yeah, yeah. I'm slummin' it at the community centre. Good one!' Lying really wasn't his specialty.

'Oh my god, you're living in the community centre!' I gaped. His usual, careless expression fell and turned serious.

'Don't tell the others.' He commanded but it sounded more along the lines of a plead. I glanced at where he had his hands placed, my wrist. I shook my head realising how significant this was to him.

'Don't worry,' I spoke softly, 'I won't.' His face then relaxed slightly and he nodded in confirmation, we then both looked at the same time as to where his hand was placed. He let go of his grasp on me around about the same time I pulled my hand away. 'So why are you staying here?' I asked, trying to fill in the awkward silence that was now developing.

'My mum and I may have had a wee disagreement about the current terms of our living arrangement.' He offered helplessly.

'You mean she chucked you out?' I corrected him, raising a left eyebrow.

'No, no, no, no.' He alleged shaking his head but then he made eye contact with my face and saw that I was buying none of it, he sighed, 'Yeah. Basically.'

'Why didn't you stay with a friend?' I asked feverishly, unsure if whether or not that was an insensitive thing to ask.

'Look do we have to be so intimate with each other?' He backed up, 'Not so big on the sharing.' I just shrugged.

'Fine, it's none of my business anyway.' I muttered, I then looked at my breakfast bar. My appetite now gone, 'Here.' I handed to him. He furrowed his eyebrows.

'What's this?'

'I'm not hungry anymore, you can have it. Let's say it's a thank you for attempting to save my arse out there when Tony was running towards me.' I gave him a half smile.

'You could've at least got chocolate.' He responded, eyeing up the bar as if it was about to bite him. I rolled my eyes at him.

'Well I wasn't planning on giving it to an Irishman living in the community centre when I bought it.' He just took a bite out of it, his face crumpling up as he chewed it.

'There's fruit in it!' He exclaimed horrified. He then grabbed my milkshake and opened it, jugging the whole thing down in one.

'Hey! That cost me a quid!' I informed him in annoyance.

'I had to wash that healthy taste out of my mouth man.' Was his idea of an excuse? 'Nothing in the shape of the bar should contain fruit in it, it's just misleading.' He informed me, 'What's the time anyway?' He asked me.

'About half eight.' I told him.

'So we've got half an hour to kill.' He grinned.

I shrugged my shoulders and replied, 'I suppose.' Nonchalantly.

'I've got a few suggestions of what we can do.' He winked, I whacked him around the head. 'I was going to suggest charades!' he backs up.

'Yeah whatever.' I muttered as I placed my cigarette in my mouth and took out my lighter and brought them to my lips and lit it. I inhaled the smoke deeply into my lungs and then exhaled, pretty, grey, patterns developing in the air.

'Smoking is bad for you.' Nathan mocked.

'Ooh, I've never heard that one before. Tell me more.' I muttered sarcastically as the cigarette was kept in between my fingers. Nathan just snorted as he pulled out a cigarette of his own, holding it in his mouth as he nicked my lighter and lit it, causing more smoke to enter the room. He inhaled before taking the fag into his finger as well.

'Well for starters you can get lung cancer and die.' He informed me.

'And the average smoker lives 16 years less than a non-smoker.' I filled in.

'Also your nails go all yellowey.' He smirked, inhaling some as he looked at me.

'And did you know a single cigarette contains over 4,800 chemicals, 69 of which can cause cancer.' I grinned.

'69 is such a magnificent though so it can't be all that bad.' He replied, I rolled my eyes at his filthy mind and laughed lightly, we spent about another fifteen minutes going through all the effect of smoking until the rest turned up.

I've lived in London for 7 years, 4 of those years were spent in the nice part of London, the part where tourists would go to take pictures and get in everybody's way. The part of London that everyone always imagines when the words London comes to mind, with the convent garden, the red busses and the overpriced shops. The other 3 years were spent on this side of London, the Jeremy Kyle side. The council estate. The side where people go to community service and probation workers get murdered. The side where you would see about 5 used condoms on a trip to the off license and not pass any remarks. I've seen a lot of things in London in the 7 years I've lived here but here, right now, was definitely a first. A naked man. There was a naked man curled up in the ground of the dirty alley in the estate.

After about a week, normality was becoming familiar once again. No storms, no probation workers were killed, no time was being turned back (not that I was aware of anyway), no one turned invisible, no object floated in the air. Normal. We even became accustom to a certain schedule; getting changed into our orange jumpsuits; cleaning graffiti; stopping when Sally was nowhere to be seen; Nathan being a twat; us yelling at Nathan for being a twat; Simon recording us; us yelling at Simon for recording us; Alysha and Curtis flirting; grimaces on my behalf; Kelly hitting Nathan for his impure thoughts and free food from the Vending Machine; home. It was a nice schedule that worked and suited all of us now there was a naked man lying in front of us and normal was quickly turning into a stranger.

'What is that?' Curtis demanded, his face contorting into horror. We all trudged over to get a closer look, I craned my neck.

'We're not supposed to clear this out are we?' I commented, tilting my head to the side. My face matched Curtis's. We all made an effort to huddle closer to get an even better look.

'Is he breavin' do ya fink 'es awright?' Kelly asked.

Alysha took a step forward and craned her neck, her upper lip curled in disgust as she did so, 'Hey nude guy, you're naked.' She laughed. The man made no attempt to move though.

'Oh Jesus is he dead? This is going to look so suspicious on our behalf.' I remarked, poking him with my litter picker.

'I am not burying another body,' Alysha commented. 'I broke like 3 nails last time.'

I brought a hand to my heart dramatically, 'Oh poor you! Must be so hard.' I retorted sarcastically.

Alysha gave me the finger before folding her arms defensively. I just threw my eyes and regained my attention to the current issue at hand. I was suddenly startled by sound of gargled snores, the man slowly turned around revealing one of the biggest dicks I've seen in a long time. I couldn't help but gape at it, my mouth open and shocked.

We all made noises that matched, discomfort, amusement, disgust. 'Woaah!'

'Ugh!'

'Ahaha!'

'What the fuck?'

'Oh my god!'

He then started to come to and confusion masked his face, and then his eyes settled on Nathan and it was soon replaced by pure horror. 'You!' Nathan gasped. Nude guy got up immediately and pegged it, 'Hey!' Nathan tried to chase after him but reached the gate before he gave up. The nude guy continued to run though, slipping over on the way. I continued to laugh.

'You wanna tell us who that was?' Curtis demanded making no attempt to hide his laughter.

Nathan spun around, 'He's my mums- He lives with my mum!' He announced.

'Your step-dad has got a massive cock!' Alysha declared, pointing her litter picker in his direction. I continued to laugh.

'Aahaha!'

'Woah! Jesus,' He cried in disgust, 'And he's not my step-dad, alright?' Nathan established defensively. I ginned and folded my arms as I chewed my gum.

'Did you see that thing?' Alysha nudged Kelly, 'That was like monster big,' she turned back to Nathan, 'Ooh, your mum will hurt.'

Nathan stuck his fingers in his ears, 'LALALA Shut up.' He pointed to Alysha.

'Why's he naked?' Kelly enquired.

'He's obviously some kind of pervert… Or he's gay.' Alysha answered.

'Oh that follows.' Curtis retorted sarcastically, his eyebrows creased. I watched as Nathan stared back after his step-dad lost. I wondered if that was why his mum kicked him out, I then panicked in case Kelly heard that but if she did she didn't respond at all.

'What? He's cruising, they love that shit.'

'Oh a little light homophobia, go for it!'

'Or 'e could be a rapist, there's loads around here.' Kelly informed us, putting emphasis on loads.

'Or maybe he was the one raped?' I suggested, Kelly nodded in agreement but another thought popped to mind, 'Wait! He could've been a part of a massive orgy and just got left there.'

'When does that kind of thing happen?' Curtis asked genuinely.

'I know this guy who knows a girl who's gay cousin that happened too. London party scene and all that, it's bound to happen here.' I replied, waving my arms in the former location of the nudist.

'Maybe he's a wear-wolf.' Simon proposed, I craned my neck to look at him to see if he was taking the piss or not.

Nathan considered it for all of a second before pointing his stick at him and affirming him as, 'Twat.'

'Th- that's what happens in films,' Simon proclaimed defensively, 'You turn into a wear-wolf, you kill someone and you wake up somewhere naked.' Nathan threw his eyes at him and faced the gate for a moment. 'Like a zoot.'

'He's not a wear-wolf alright? This guy's such a pussy he needs my mum to open jars for him, I'm sure if he was a wear-wolf he'd be able to open a jar of peanut -butter himself.' I grimaced.

'Who'd even want to open a jar of peanut butter?'

'Wot if the storm messed him up?'

'That's bollocks,' Nathan said in a more hushed tone. 'What are the chances?'

'Help out, talk to them, make sure everyone is having a good time.' I stared past Sally and continued to eye up the old people suspiciously, ah shit. Me and old people never got on. This wasn't going to end well. I made no effort to move whatsoever, 'Move!' She demanded helplessly. Reluctantly I trudged a long with Kelly and Nathan in an oversized, plaid, pale blue and red lumberjack shirt, an oversized grey vest, pale blue denim shorts just peaking through underneath, ripped black tights and my – at least we got to wear what we wanted, my hair bright red and was still in a messy bun though. Some cheesy old music played in the background, I cursed myself for leaving my Ipod behind.

'Seeing places like these make me seriously consider to quit smoking.' I told the as he continued to walk.

'Why?' Kelly asked.

'Well because they're all here because they can't take care of themselves because they've all got weak bodies and that's mainly due to their lifestyle choices when they were younger.' I explained, 'I bet you half of these people were as bad us.' Kelly just smirked.

We continued to walk when we found an old man sleeping, or, 'Is 'e dead?' Kelly asked scrunching her face up at him. Nathan walked over to the old man and bent down so his face was level with his ears and yelled, 'She's stealing your pension!' The old man jolted and awoke.

Nathan turned to face us again and smiled, 'No, he's fine.' I just laughed and walked away.

I made light conversation with a few elderly people but I always tried to leave the conversation the moment I saw the even slightest chance of an out. Most of the conversations went the same, it was all directed towards my bright hair and my choice of clothing for today. I yawned heavily, making my eyes glaze over. I then looked up and focused my gaze over to Nathan, he was hitting on a rather pretty blonde girl with a rockabilly dress. I rolled my eyes at how obvious he was, it would've been embarrassing if it wasn't actually working on her, the poor blonde. Oh well, at least it would be some form of entertainment to watch I thought, glancing down at my phone to check the time.

'I fookin' swear if I hear one more person call me a hooligan in their head I will fookin' slap them!' Kelly declared decisively in the locker rooms.

I opened my locker door and reached for my vanilla perfume, I turned my head to talk to her quickly, 'Yeah, I can see that going down great.' I jeered.

'Yeah well at least you don't have to hear them wanting to bone you.' Alysha muttered quietly. I spritzed my self a few times, my face on somewhat contortion by her statement.

'Yeah that sounds grim.' I responded.

'Someone knows!' Curtis cried suddenly, we all turned to face him, horror and shock masked on his face. He held up a piece of paper, 'They know we killed our probation worker.'

I knitted my eyebrows together, 'What?' I asked, hoping I misheard him. I narrowed my eyes at the paper in his hand, it was a picture with the words scrawled, 'I KNOW WHAT YOU DID.'

'Is this a wind op?' Kelly asked, seeming unphased by the whole thing.

I turned to Nathan who was slouched against an open locker, 'This better not be you.' I accused, glaring at him.

He shut his locker door indignantly and shoved his hands in his pocket, 'If I was tryin' to wind ye up I think I'd be a bit more creative.' He sneered, 'I know what film you saw last summer.' I just blinked, the reference fell on me. I had still yet to see the movie. I got the gist of what he was saying though.

I rolled my eyes, 'Right, that's comforting. Thank you Nathan.' I bit sarcastically.

'This isn't funny!' Kelly demanded impatiently, becoming tired of this whole ordeal.

'If I wanted to freak you out I would've dug up the body and stuck those in your locker.' He answered earnestly, I stared at him for a few moments trying to see the slightest indication of him lying but nothing. I just sighed and turned to Curtis.

'If it's not him, then who was it?' Simon asked, I stared at the ceiling and tried to consider the options, there was only one person whom came to mind but it didn't link; Sally.

'Well we've all done stuff,' Nathan claimed, the tone in his voice reached a more serious pitch than usual. 'They could be talking about anything.' I furrowed my eyebrows.

'Yeah but nothing so bad that it would cause for someone to go out of their way to do this,' Silence, 'Well I know I haven't at least.'

'It was in your locker!' Alysha so kindly pointed out to Curtis.

'This was meant for all of us,' Curtis hissed relentlessly, 'they're talkin' about the probation worker.'

'How would they know though? There was no one else there that day apart from us.' I recalled, chewing my thumbnail.

'Let's just say that you're right,' Nathan reasoned, 'If they knew anything they wouldn't be dickin' around with notes in our lockers, they'd have gone to the police and we'd all get banged up and ganged raped in the showers, but this,' Nathan exclaimed gesturing to the note that was clenched in Curtis's tight fist, 'This means they have no evidence, no proof, nothing. And anyway I'm guessing it's about some other unrelated shit that you've done,' He added, 'So if we're all done freakin' out here over nothing, there's somewhere I need to be.' He alleged walking out of the lockers room, patting Curtis on the shoulder patronizingly on the way.

We stood in a silence, internally debating what Nathan had just said and as much as I hate to admit it, and I really, really do; he might be right.

'Please don't tell me you actually believe that prick?!' Curtis insisted.

'Well 'ooever did it is jost tryin to freak us out right?' Kelly said, 'So act normal!'

I glanced over at Curtis sympathetically, 'If we're just careful about this it should just all blow over.' I told him, I hope it does.
