So we left the museum and drove around a bit, Augustus talking the whole time.
"-And I've met a lot of people Here actually."
"Uh-huh" I said. That was about as much as I could fit in before he started talking again.
Eventually we stopped in front of the hotel we stayed in when we were alive. We went up in the rickety elevator to the top floor and walked down the aged hallway. Augustus opened the second to last door and I was surprised to see the room inside.
It was not like the old and out-dated rooms we stayed in before, it was actually like a large apartment. It was pretty modern and had a cool wall TV that's I could watch ANTM on. After exploring a bit, I discovered a library in the backroom. I decided that was my favorite room in and I'd be spending a lot of time there from now on.
"So?" Said Augustus when I went back into the living room.
This place is awesome, how'd you get all this stuff?"
"Well, I didn't. I found it like this. This was the first place I went when I died and I found the place with my name on it, literally." He explained. "It's pretty cool, huh? It's actually really close to what I imagined my house would look like when I got older.
"Ooh, so grown up." I teased.
"Mhm, very." He said, embracing me again. Somehow we found ourselves kissing again. I guess we didn't do enough of it when we were still alive and were making up for it now.
Then, there was a knock at the door. Augustus got up to open it. There was no one there but he picked up a fancy envelope off the floor. He took out the letter and read it, then handed it to me.
"Hazel, it's almost time for your viewing day." Was all he said.
