Hey guys! So I had this great idea for Hazel's big Viewing Day, but it didn't quite turn out right in words, but I hope it's ok! Anyways, I just wanted to thank all you guys for reading this, it means a lot to me as an aspiring author! And also, just want a little feedback, are my characters realistic, sometimes when I write they seem to slip away from me... let me know, leave a review! Thanks!

I got off the couch and took the paper from his hands. The information was written in very neat ink calligraphy:

To Miss Hazel Grace Lancaster

We are pleased to say that today is your Viewing Day! Unfortunately, this event is completely unique to each person, and there is no general information we can give to you. Please dress accordingly.

I looked at Augustus nervously. "Did you have a viewing day?"
"Uh-huh."
"And? What was it like?"
"I'm not allowed to tell you, sorry. Just go get dressed, there's a closet in the bedroom, it randomly manifests new clothes."
"Really?" I laughed. "That's awesome!"

Soon after I went all girly about my outfit, I was picked up by two stunningly beautiful people, I presumed to be angels. Augustus was not allowed to come with me so I was all on my own.
The angels took me on a walk through a park and we came to a spot in between two blooming trees. The angels said nothing but urged me to walk through the spot between the trees. I did and I was overcome by a blinding light much like the one I first experience when I got Here.

When my eyes adjusted, I was in a pure white room with a TV monitor on one wall. I sat down in an uncomfortable chair in front of the TV. As soon as I did the monitor switched on, making me jump a little bit. Words on the screen informed me that I would be watching a flashback of my life. I bit my bottom lip - I really didn't want to experience that mess again.

The video showed from the time I was first brought home after I was born all the way to the end when I died, with every single moment in between. It was sped up to last only about fifteen minutes and when it was over I sat in silence. A doorway apeared on the wall next to the TV and wind swept through it. I closed my eyes against the harsh wind and when I opened them, a lavender colored scroll was placed in my lap.

It said:

Hazel Grace Lancaster:

In your life you experienced very little genuine happiness. For what you have went through, you deserve to experience a life without sturggle and without pain. As a result to your Viewing, you have been granted by certain authorities a new and renewed chance to live without obstacles.

Enjoy your freedom

I couldn't believe that was it. I was expecting something much more, but a chance to kind of start over was a great girft and I decided not to question it. But I kind of started to wonder what happened to the people who didn't get a new start.

I returned to what I now considered home and Augustus was sleeping on the couch. I went over and sat on his legs. He woke up.
"Hey, how'd it go?" He asked in his cute sleepy voice.
"Good I guess. I apparently get a second chance, struggle free."
"Just like me," He smiled. "How about in the morning, we go make the best of it?"
"Sounds like a plan." I said. He pulled me down to him and kissed my forehead before drifting off again.
