Hey guys! I've been trying to be better about posting sooner, so sorry for the wait.

Mystery POV
"So… you were saying something about the party? And me? And me being your date?"
I looked over at my receptionist. "Uh, yeah. Though I don't remember saying that last part." She blushed. "Anyways, I need a new theme for the party. Last time, the whole clown thing didn't work out so good. I think I traumatized a few kids… So I need more ideas. You got any?"
"Uh, well, I actually was kind of preparing for this just a little. I mean, you have parties every week that you still haven't asked me to, so I came up with some ideas." She opened a drawer and pulled out a thick file, tossing it on the table. I opened it to find that the file was filled with lists of themes.
"Charlotte, you are my lifesaver! I really don't feel like reading through all of these, so I'll ask you. Are there any you that you think I should do?"
She twirled her hair as she perched on her desk. "Weeell, there is the France theme. But the Movie Theater one is good, too. Oh, wait! I know! The old fashioned ball one! I've always wanted to wear one of those gowns…"
"Sounds great! I'll invite people. You do everything else. See ya!" I walked out and closed the door behind me. Turning around, I felt someone's fist collide with my face.
Piper's POV
"Ouch! What the h-" The guy turned to look at me, hand to his eye.
I bit my lip. "I'm so sorry! I was about to knock when you came out. I didn't see-"
"No! No, it's fine. The worst thing I'll have is a black eye. So, who are you?" The guy had light brown shaggy hair, and the one eye that was uncovered by his hand was light blue. From what I could see, he was kind of cute. He didn't look that much older than me, either.
"My name is Piper. My mom is Aphrodite. She got me a job here. Do you know where I can find Skylar Jenkins?"
He smiled. "You're looking at him. Piper, huh? You must be the new recruit I heard about. You know, you're pretty for a New Yorker."
I smiled, though I was a little confused. "What's so bad about New York?"
"I met this one girl there. She was total trash."
"Really? Then I guess we're on the same team here."
"Sweet. Hey, I'm planning a ball on Friday. You interested?"
I laughed. "A real live ball? Like, gowns and everything? Sure!"
"You girls must really like dresses. Anyways, I'm going with a few others. You want to come with us?"
I took a step back. This doesn't count as a date, right? I don't do stuff like that anymore! I mean, I just met this guy… "Sure, I guess. I don't really have anything to wear, though."
He laughed. "That can be fixed. I'll just give your mom a call…" He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone, raising his hand slowly and pretending to push a button.
"NO! No, you really don't need to do that! If she finds out, she'll never leave me alone! I would like to shop by myself, thank you very much." He put his hand down, and I let out my breath.
"Okay. Well, see you later than." I started backing away. "What time is this ball going to be at?"
He walked towards a different door. "7pm. I'll come by at 6:30, or I'll send someone. That sound okay?"
"Yeah. Bye!" I turned and started towards the elevator. As the doors closed, I glanced over to where he was and saw him looking at me still. Awkward… I waved until the doors shut.
