Well, no one reviewed the last update... Oh well... I'm not only writing this for you, I'm writing this for me too! Mostly to fix my mental health...
And I just found out that I have Pirates 4 in 3D... why haven't I realized that?
Anyway, on with the story!
"yes, apparently so, luv," Jack replied, leaning on the closet door. The door was a bit old and the hinges broke off, leaving Jack and the door lying on the floor.
"is that... Rum?" Angelica said as she peered in the room. "why yes it is!" Jack said happily as he took a glance from his lying position. There were about hundreds of bottles, seemingly containing rum. "I don't think it's rum, Jack," Angelica said as she examined one of the bottles, "don't drink this if you are still alive," she read a label on the bottle.
Jack stood up. "this one says, Rainbow Rum," he said, holding a bottle up. "Jack you can't just drink this stuff, who knows what will-" Angelica started, but it was too late. Jack had already drank the 'Rainbow Rum'.
"yes I can, I just did. And it sure tastes like rum," Jack commented. Suddenly, rainbow liquid kept pouring out of his mouth. "Jack, you're throwing up rainbows!" Angelica said in a worried tone. "I think I noticed that, sweetie," jack replied, gurgling the liquid in the process.
"we have to get you to Rachel! But where is she? It's still raining!" Angelica began to panic. "maybe I could just kiss you, like when you cut your leg?" Jack suggested, "does it say anything on the bottle?!" Angelica questioned, grabbing the bottle out of Jack's hand. "it will wear off," She read with a relieved sigh, "but it doesn't say when."
"property of splendorman," Jack read a scribbly handwriting on the label. "probably another one of Rachel's friends," Angelica replied. The liquid from Jack's mouth are making a small puddle on the wooden floor. "And Angelica... I don't think it's raining anymore... It's snowing," Jack said as he pointed to the window.
"it's snowing..." Rachel said as she stood near the entrance. She had finally let Blackbeard sleep after Zaltana's comment about them acting like Jack and Angelica.
"someone dead left the island," Zaltana said, standing beside Rachel. "indeed, we should rest too. They're probably going to inform us in the morning," Rachel said and went back in.
"the rainbow stopped pouring... But now I'm sleepy," Jack said, and moments later he fainted on the floor. "jack?" Angelica poked his cheek with a finger. He did not wake up. Well, at least he's breathing. Angelica dragged him on the bed with much difficulty. She then lied beside him and soon fell asleep after.
The next morning, Jack was awoken by a strange noise. It sounded like a bird, a crow, trying to sound like an eagle. The sound kept repeating and is getting closer. "what is that?" he sat up in annoyance, "it's a bird, and I think it's heading for Rachel. Put your clothes on, let's go!" Angelica said. She had already woken hours before Jack. He lazily put his clothes back on and headed outside with Angelica. It was very sunny, yet it was still snowing.
"the weather here is absurd," Jack said as he followed Angelica through the snow covered trees. Angelica was following the bird, it looked like a phoenix, a pitch black phoenix. It was carrying what supposed to be a letter.
It flew slowly so they were able to follow it. It landed in front of a cave. It made the sound again, which made Jack and Angelica cover their ears.
"ahah! A letter!" came Rachel's voice, she stepped out soon after. She read the letter with curiosity, "well this makes the deal a whole lot harder!" she shouted as she finished reading. Jack and Angelica were hiding behind a tree. "Edward! Death's in London! And there's no way we can get there!" Rachel shouted, Blackbeard came out of the cave. "there is a way, and you know that," Blackbeard replied, "you want your ship back, don't you?" Rachel said in an expecting tone. "well of course I do," Blackbeard replied.
"I suppose we could get your ship back," Rachel said and wrote a note on a piece of parchment that probably came out of nowhere. "take this to Barbossa," Rachel said to the Phoenix as she tied the note on its leg. It flew away with grace.
"now we have to get to the beach, so they can see us," Rachel said, stepping ahead of Blackbeard. "what did you write to him?" Blackbeard questioned, "I wrote I need help, and I have Jack and Angelica -who are probably hiding behind that tree over there- I'm sure Gibbs will be persuasive," Rachel explained.
"you made a deal with Blackbeard? In which you now call Edward?" Jack said, stepping forward to them. "yes, and we will all get our shares. Black Pearl will be out in no time," Rachel explained shortly and walked past Angelica, heading to the beach. They all silently followed, the mainland was just a tiny spot on the horizon from there. And so they waited.
On the Queen, Barbossa was having a bit of trouble with his crew. Almost everyone had stomach aches, including Gibbs, Scrum, and Barbossa himself. Gibbs was using the crew's bathroom and was taking a bit too long for everyone's liking. "Hurry up Gibbs! I gotta use the bathroom too!" Scrum shouted as he banged on the bathroom door. Apparently, eating the fish was not such a good idea after all.
Barbossa was done with his bathroom business, but he refuse that anyone else could use it. He went out on deck and saw a huge bird flying towards him. It landed on his forearm and gave the note to him. Gibbs popped out from under decks and approached Barbossa. "eating the fish... Not a good idea," he said, Barbossa read the note. "Jack?" Gibbs said as he read the note from behind Barbossa.
"this bird will lead us, go!" Barbossa let the bird flew an led the way. "all available hands on deck! We sail for Sparrow!" Barbossa shouted, only a few men came and they were forced to ready the ship themselves.
"ready the sails! Follow that bird!" Barbossa shouted, turning the wheel.
"Rachel! How can you make a deal with... With that thing?!" Jack chased after Rachel. "I happen to like Edward, and besides, he said he'll tell you how to get your beloved Pearl out," Rachel replied.
"that is good news, but stop calling him Edward. It's freaking me out. He's going to use you, Rachel. You are just as blind as Angelica was," Jack said as he glanced at Blackbeard, who was sitting on a rock on the beach. She just remained quiet.
A few hours past and none of them talked to each other. "it's the revenge!" Rachel said pointing to the ship approaching. The ship stopped and two rowboats came. One containing Gibbs and Barbossa, the other Scrum.
"come on you bloody fish heads!" Barbossa shouted. Angelica, Rachel and Blackbeard got on the boat with Scrum, Jack with Gibbs and Barbossa. "you actually came for me. That's a first," Jack commented, Gibbs started rowing back to the ship. "don't get your hopes up Sparrow. I came because she said she knows how to get the ships out," Barbossa pointed to Rachel.
In truths, Scrum was intimidated by Blackbeard's presence. Being a member of the crew before Barbossa captained, he perfectly knew what this man was capable of. And he's also sort of zombified, so he knows he can't kill him just like that. Also perhaps it's the fact that he's sitting in front of him. Scrum wished that the ladies would sit in front of him, Blackbeard could just stare at him without him having to stare back.
"scrum," Rachel called, which startled him. "ah! Um... what is it miss?" Scrum said, "you're shivering," Rachel stated. "well, it is a bit snowing after all," Scrum replied shakily, Blackbeard squinted his eyes at Scrum. "I know it is, but it's hot out. You're just scared of Edward," Rachel stated. The boat bumped into the ship, "w-we're here!" Scrum said and helped Angelica up the side. They arrived before Barbossa's boat.
Jack squinted his eyes at Scrum and snorted. "ye still have feelin's for her, don't ye?" Gibbs teased, "stirrings!" Jack replied. "oh, so you admit you DO have stirrings for her?" Gibbs teased on as he rowed. "I did not say that!" Jack replied and pouted. By the time they reached the ship, Scrum, Rachel, Angelica, and Blackbeard were already on the ship.
"what happened to the fish that ate us?" Rachel said as Barbossa, Jack and Gibbs got on deck. "we ate it, and it wasn't such a good idea," Gibbs replied, "of course it wasn't. But you guys probably didn't know that portfishes contain a strong amount of laxative," Rachel stated.
"Barbossa! We sail for whitecap bay!" Rachel said, "why would we need to go there?" Barbossa replied. "a mermaid's tear was involved in the profane ritual, so it will be involved in it's reversal. Also we need it to get the ships out of bottles," Rachel explained. "oh that reminds me, put him in the brig!" he ordered the crew to bring Blackbeard. No one moved. "I'll bring him," Rachel volunteered, she gestured for Blackbeard to follow her.
"I will kindly offer the first mate's cabin for you two. And yes, you have to share," Barbossa said with a teasing smile, Gibbs snickered at their slightly shocked face.
"I'm going to let you out when everybody's asleep," Rachel said as she locked the cell door. "why do you fancy me, really?" Blackbeard questioned, "I don't know... and besides, no one wants to be locked up in a cage," Rachel shrugged and left.
"Angelica! Let me in!" Jack shouted, he was locked outside the first mate's cabin. "no, you bastard!" Angelica shouted back from the other side. "then I guess you would be sleeping with the crew, then," Barbossa said and went up decks.
He truly hated this. he is a captain! And he should be treated as such! But apparently the ship he captained was in a glass bottle. He slumped down and reclined on the door.
Scrum sat and watched the rest of the crew, he didn't have anything to do. Usually he's on mopping and scrubbing duty, but the floors were already cleaned and the ship was already readied for sailing. the crew didn't have much to do too, the ship could ready itself if the captain wants, all it needs is a wave of a certain sword.
"Scrum!" Gibbs called, "where be the Black Pearl?" he asked. "I think it's in the captain's quarters. But I'm not sure he will let ye in," Scrum replied. Gibbs approached the captain's quarters and quietly stepped inside. The pearl was sitting right on a desk. He took the bottle and scurried out. He went under decks to hide it in a safe place, but he found Jack slumped in front of the first mate's door.
"what's wrong Jackie?" Gibbs squatted down, "I miss being captain," he replied sadly. "maybe this will make ye better," Gibbs handed over the Pearl.
It just made him miss being captain even more, but he embraced the bottle. One would say like he's holding a baby.
"we'll get it out Jack, I know we will," Gibbs patted his friend's shoulder and left.
It was a warm afternoon as they sailed to whitecap bay. The snow had faded off, probably because they're out of the Bermuda area.
Gibbs worried about Jack, he didn't come for lunch and probably didn't even leave the door in the first place. And Angelica had not come out of her quarters, she could be sleeping... But it was a bit unlikely with Blackbeard imprisoned. Why did Blackbeard agree to be thrown in the brig? Why hasn't Angelica try to get him out? So many questions ran through Gibbs' head.
He had used Jack's compass to find a heading, in hopes of returning the Pearl to her former glory. The sun was going to set anytime soon, and the crew are slowly filling in their cabin.
"Scrum, can I ask a favor?" Rachel asked Scrum, who was sitting on the stairs. "what favor?" He replied, "play a tune for me, I'm going to sing," Rachel said. "what kind of tune?" Scrum questioned, "just follow my singing... Can you do that?"
"I suppose I could," Scrum said, "let me just fetch my mandola."
"sure, we're doing it under decks anyway," Rachel followed Scrum under decks.
"now what are those two up to?" Gibbs said to himself.
I did this all in my phone. Of course I beta-ed it myself in my laptop, but it was mostly done in my phone.
Reviews would be awesome you know, I would update faster, update longer chapters, motivated to continue...
Anyway sorry for any mistakes... Are you all still reading out there? Cause the last chapter's views didn't increase much.
To tell you the truth, at first I thought this story was going to be lame, like all my other stories are. But you reviewers proved I'm wrong, so I decided to continue this story.
