Disclaimer: thanks for the reviews as always, they're greatly appreciated, sorry if I didn't reply to any of them but I needed to get started on this chapter since I left it with a dramatic ending that NEEDED to be explained. As for the Fan who left the review, I don't know how I will take your advice since I never watched Megamind so I'm still not sure about that yet but it'll come to me along the way. Now then, let's get started, I don't own the characters so enjoy!
Chapter 11
Furrball spent the night visiting some of his old friends, he hoped this would keep him occupied to not think about Fifi and Hamton. His first trip was back to the school to check out the records. The first Toons he went to see was Plucky and Shirley, Furrball wasn't surprised to see them together, he knew at some point the Loon would get with the selfish green mallard and from the looks of it, nothing seemed to have changed. Furrball assumed Plucky actually changed for her, to some extent, and made Shirley see a tiny glimpse of hope in him after all. The revived cat watched them through the windows, he was even less surprised to see Plucky asleep in front of the still-on TV by himself. Shirley was also asleep with the phone beside her, by herself.
"Guess she still cut him off," Furrball wondered, "she's probably making him sleep on the couch tonight…yeah, she loves him."
Just by catching a glimpse of the Loon on the bed forced the image of the previous night before his eyes. Furrball saw Shirley change in a flash to Fifi and the thin air appeared as Hamton. He immediately shook his head and left to see the next Toons.
Furrball went to the forest to what was probably the biggest tree he had ever seen. Inside, he saw Sweetie and Concord cuddled together watching a movie. The sight of them made him want to eat them but Furrball remembered that hunger was no longer an issue for him nor was his hunter instincts kicking in due to the fact that everything Sylvester taught him was just for acting, not for real. That and the fact that only the living could possess such traits, he wouldn't even taste them anyway.
At the time, the revived cat knew that if he ever wanted to be adopted then he had to learn how to control his predatory skills and be sophisticated. Furrball thought that no one wanted a crazy alley cat the same way no one wanted to adopt a human child if he was a street dweller without any sense of sophistication and morality, that was the only motto he would go with.
After watching the birds some more, he started to see them change into the same image of Fifi and Hamton so he left them in peace.
Furrball wanted to visit Gogo Dodo but didn't know how to exit Wackyland so he decided for that another day. He saw Montana Max in his mansion, this one was even bigger than his last one. The painted cat saw the rich kid sleeping on pile of money and right beside him was a picture frame of him and Elmyra on their forced date. Furrball squinted and saw that the photo looked to be really damaged, it seemed like it was ripped, torn, crumpled, stitched and taped back together. From the looks of it, this was done more than once. This confused the cat but he was never one to pay attention to what was going on with his former owner, even Elmyra herself didn't even know half the stuff going on around her.
"Uhhh…why'd you leave me…?" Monty moaned in his sleep, Furrball listened in, "why Rudy?...why him? That fat son of a bi-…"
"Rudy?" Furrball wondered, "who's Rudy?" he shrugged and left, seeing as how he was done, he saw no importance to continue to stay.
The revived cat came upon another mansion that belonged to Babs and Buster Bunny. He again wasn't surprised to see that these two long-time best friends ended up as a still-standing couple. He looked inside and received more than his thoughts provided.
There sat a pregnant Babs on the couch while Buster was rubbing her stomach, causing her to giggle.
"Stop it Buster, that tickles," she playfully tried to push his hand away, "the baby'll kick you again."
"Hey, can you blame me?" he replied with a playful innocence in his tone, "it's the only way I get to see you smile."
"I smile!" the pink bunny forced a wicked smirk while holding back her laughter from her own goofiness, "see?"
"Okay Babsy, but the next time you sad-eye yourself in front of the mirror or ask me if I think you're getting fat, be sure to flash me that Joker grin while doin' it."
In an instant, Babs pulled out a black and red costume and shoved it on Buster, "then I guess that makes you Harley Quinn?" she asked.
The two laughed and engaged in a kiss while Buster, still in costume, accidentally placed his hand back on Babs' belly causing her to chuckle. This resulted in him getting kicked back by the baby and crashing into the wall again. Babs saw this and pointed and laughed at her flattened husband.
Furrball smiled, he could actually feel the love between them, it was really strong and warmed him up inside.
"Come to think of it," he said, "I've felt everyone's love tonight." But once again his memories couldn't stay down as the images of Babs and Buster changed into that of Fifi…and himself!
"The mind's playing tricks on me," he assumed, "I need to get away from all this romance, it's not good for me."
Furrball left and headed back to the abandoned Duff house but not before he turned back around to face Acme Acres, "you're all okay," he said, "you've all done something with your lives, now you're everything you've ever wanted to be, happy…and I'm happy for you guys…how I envy you…"
He began to head back to the house where he would try to get rid of the images of Fifi. With her on his mind, Furrball would be too distracted to deal with his next victim.
…
Lious arrived at the old Duff house, it's been years since he took a good look at it and even to this day it still creeped him out. The pet cemetery was right behind it, all it was missing was a werewolf howling at the moon in its background to complete the scene. But knowing the former owners, that same wolf would most likely be buried along with the other unfortunate souls. Lious entered through the creaking gate and stepped paw into the front yard.
"Dis' is prob'ly what Hell looks like," the big orange cat said to himself, "I just hope…he's there…an' not…here."
Lious kept walking until he finally reached the window, still cracked, just the way he left it. He checked in all directions and crossed his claws behind his back. Peeking in, he saw the burlap sack still bundled up, it didn't look as full as it used to.
"Prob'ly turned t'dust," he assumed and with that he turned back around to leave, "he's still there, I don't need to check inside." Lious proceeded to run as far away from the place and back to the gang, hoping to never return to that house again. Knowing that Furrball wasn't the one taking on his Alley Cat gang didn't really sooth him, he still had to find out who was responsible…and make him pay.
…
It was a long night but at last it was finally over. The Alley Cats were forced to spread out in an alley since the police and firefighters were still investigating the burn-out of their hideout. When Lious returned he was informed that Feral and Mestic found that alley and that there were no inhabitants in it. They stayed there until Feral could scout a new hideout. Nicus still had Clawz tied up but his boss ordered him to let him go as they didn't lure whoever was eliminating them. Clawz was ordered to stay put but should he run then that was it for him. Knowing that he was now in danger, he silently tried to think of a plan to get out of the situation.
The night was over for the time being, but there was still a lot to get done.
…
Fifi didn't sleep at all last night. When she and Hamton finished up their first night together he was the only one who closed his eyes for more than a few seconds. Whenever the skunkette tried to sleep, she would see things. She would see crows, Furrball's final night, Lious holding the gun and firing, Hamton on top of her. The only thing that kept her content was that her long-time friend Furrball was back. What warmed her up a little more was remembering the dream she previously had, the one that involved a crow and the cat's shadow. It finally made sense to her as Fifi realized that that dream was the crow's way of connecting the two, to try and tell her that Furrball never left at all.
But as always, her thoughts were reverted to reality when she felt Hamton's hand on her hip as they lay in the bed.
"Zhis' vas' sex…" she thought to herself, "que strange', I don't feel…as Babs said, magical."
There was something about her that made her feel different, not anything special but nothing bad either, she just felt…different, and she couldn't put a finger on it.
"Zhis iz' vhat' 'Amton vanted'…so vhy' am I ze' only one who can't be 'appy about it?" She was so confused, many young girls, even younger than her made sex out to be the best thing one could ever dream of. It's everything nice, sweet and wonderful about everything life could give you, all rolled into one. But that was the problem, Fifi didn't feel any of that. She should've, she just did it with Hamton, so why did it feel so wrong?
Tomorrow was the Bunnies' baby shower so today was the last regular day at the bar. Fifi lightly tapped Hamton's hand to move it but it remained on her hip. She shrugged it off and attempted to get out of the bed on her own but Hamton's grip tightened up a little.
"'Amton, je 'as to shower," the skunkette told him.
"No you don't," he moaned as he was waking up, "we can just stay here all day, call Dizzy for the day off."
Fifi would've loved to hear the pig sound so sly and do what he wanted but after the night they lived through, she didn't feel comfortable doing so. She forced herself to flash him a smile, hoping it would get him to give in to her needs and sure enough she was right. She tried to make herself look like she was casually getting out of bed but as she started to walk away, Hamton stuck out his hand and caressed her tail as it flowed right behind her. Fifi flinched a little from his touch but forced a playful devious look back at him as she continued her way to the shower. Hamton smiled and threw his head back to his pillow with his arms behind his head for a quick nap.
Fifi turned the valves for the shower and stepped in. She spent almost an hour in there, wrapping her arms around herself for comfort. With Furrball back and Hamton not acting like his usual self, not to mention the baby shower the next day, she had a lot to deal with, especially now that she knew the truth about Furrball.
"Furrball…" Fifi sighed, she sank down until she hit the tile floor of the shower and let the water run over her. He saw everything, those images wouldn't leave him just as they wouldn't leave her. How embarrassing, Fifi's friend just saw her have sex for the first time and yet, she felt guilty about it for she knew what was going on in his head. With his memories still fresh in her mind, Fifi could only imagine how the revived cat was feeling. After what he saw, what would ignite within him?
After a while, she grabbed the nearest brush and started to scrub all over, hard, wanting to cleanse the previous night off of her. Though she loved Hamton, was ironically a skunk, and lived in a junkyard for most of her life since coming to the United States, for the first time in Fifi's life, she felt dirty.
…
When Nicus woke up he saw that Lid slept very close to Mestic. The grey cat was getting really tired of her choosing him over the other cats. He wanted to take Mestic out of the picture, fedora and all, but knew Lious wouldn't even allow it. With who-knows-what already doing that, the Alley Cats couldn't afford losing anymore of them, not to mention that if romance was the issue then Lious would see Nicus as weak and unfit. So much so that he would de-rank him from his second captain in-command position and hand it over to Feral, along with himself!
"I hope dis' 'aven'ja' takes Mestic out first," he said to himself, "he doesn't deserve her."
The rest of the cats started to wake up slowly, Mestic got up and helped Lid up as well, much to Nicus' annoyed disgust. Clawz didn't realize it until he was fully awake that his foot paw was chained to a dumpster.
"What is this?!" he yelled out to Lious as he was walking by, "why am I still chained?!"
"To prevent you's from runnin' away," Lious replied, "what, you think I trust you not to run off?"
"Why am I the one who has to do it?! Mestic and Lid have more lives than me to spare, why won't you take them?!"
"Aww, I can't break up da' love birds," the orange cat mocked him, he turned around to see the aforementioned cats give him a sarcastic glare, "an' besides, if I used only one of 'em den' the other would want to do it too cuz', you know, they're in love!"
"Oh, shut up Lious!" Lid yelled out, "what does it matter with what goes on between me and Mestic?! You should be focusing on who keeps killing your recruits!"
Lious once again charged at her and grabbed for her neck, the female cat tried to fight him off with her tail but he stopped her before she could strike him. Mestic tried to intervene but one claw from the boss cat had him backing off. Feral and Nicus closed in on them.
"Y'know," Lious threatened her, "if your smart mouth keeps it up then you can be the bait because I am getting really, really tired of listening to you."
"Let her go, Lious," Mestic warned him.
"Aww how sweet, look who's trying to be a hero…again!"
The two glared at each other until the boss cat spoke again, "you see these cats?" he referred to Feral, Nicus and the still-chained Clawz, "any one of 'em would take you out in mere seconds, each of 'em has a reason to waste your four-life tail so don't test me, that goes for both of you! Am I understood?"
Mestic gave in, defeated, he nodded to Lid, hoping she would do the same. She nodded in agreement and Lious replied his satisfaction by giving her a kiss on her forehead, much to Nicus and Mestic's shock, and let her go. Lid ran to Mestic's side which only fueled Nicus even more.
"A'right now listen up, cuz' I'm only gonna' say this once!" Lious announced to them, "whoever's killin' my soldiers is not Furrball! I saw'im, he's dust now! So tonight, when you go to Dizzy's after takin' some change from people, go find out as much as you can about this mysterious 'avenger."
The Alley Cats glanced at each other and nodded, "las' night's fire should be makin' headline news by now so find out more on that," Lious concluded, "until then, we need to scout for a new hideout." The cats agreed and spread out.
"Feral," Lious called over the big silent cat, "unchain Clawz here an' chain yourself to'im…jus' in case."
…
Hamton woke up from his nap and noticed that Fifi was still in the shower, either he had a short nap or she was taking a really long bath. He didn't dwell too much on it, he just lost his virginity and he couldn't be happier. No more did he have to listen to Plucky brag about his nights with Shirley and feel excluded, he now knew the feeling. Now whenever he saw Babs and Buster, he could relate to them as a power couple as well.
"May doesn't own me now," the pig contently sighed, "but…why am I thinking about her?"
Hamton got up from the bed and started thinking, "was last night…the right thing to do?" he started to exit the bedroom, "we're not married but…"
The pig started to regret waking up, ever since the 'thing' between May and Plucky, Hamton had received a private case of paranoia. As a result, he started having second thoughts about the previous night.
"Fifi loves me," he said to himself as he entered the kitchen, "besides, a lot of couples never wait until the wedding anyway."
He started to compare and balance everything out, this was a force of habit for his paranoia.
"We're in love, but we're not married," he spoke to himself, "we're still young, but we're old enough to do it, Plucky made such a big deal about it…and now I know why."
By this point, Hamton started boiling up, "I've been waiting since I was eighteen, eighteen, I'm 22 now, I think I've waited long enough! May didn't want me then, she can't have me now and she doesn't even deserve me!" He heaved and huffed in and out until he finally calmed himself, "there was nothing wrong about what happened last night," he concluded, "we did it because if I didn't do it with Fifi…then I would more than likely have done it with May if I didn't leave her last night."
Hamton buried his face in his hands, "I did it to save our relationship, I did it us Fifi…I did it for us."
…
Fifi finally stepped out of the shower, after a while of scrubbing her body she almost forgot to actually shower. Upon exiting the bathroom she realized that her shift didn't start until later at night! Worse, it was still very early so she had too much time on her hands, that also meant that she had extra time to spend with Hamton. The skunkette just wanted to be left alone for a while, she was in desperate need of personal space but she couldn't just say it to her boyfriend, not after the previous night. But it was because of that night that made her uncomfortable around him and this morning was the last thing she wanted to go through.
Fifi noticed that Hamton wasn't on his side of their bed, "prob'ly vent' downstairs for breakfast," she assumed.
She walked over to her side when she heard something. Vibrating. She turned to where it was coming from and saw that it was Hamton's phone, on the ground ringing. Fifi really didn't want to go near Hamton at this point to give him the phone so she decided to answer it for him and take a message. She reached for it, ready to answer it but she caught a glimpse of the caller i.d.
"Sacre bleu…May?"
To be continued…
A/N: and now you know why Hamton and Fifi spent the night together. Guess when it comes down to it, you can't control your emotions and suddenly you just snap, you know? I hope it was well-explained. Now we're heading into deep territory, Fifi knows about May now so what will these two young girls bring us in the next chapter? And Furrball? What will he do next? Let's wait until next week to find out. Thanks for reading everyone, be sure to review and I'll see you all with a new update next week. Until then!
