Sawyer was walking in the grocery store, not really sure what he was going to pick up. He was mostly wandering to take his mind off of things. He did that a lot. Almost every day. Sometimes many times in a day. Whenever Clementine wasn't over, whenever he wasn't at work. He'd wander. People at the park who were regular runners there would wave to him and say hi. He had made a few friends at some of the stores, just like at the park.
Sawyer continued pushing the cart down one of the stores isles. "Only a few more days till Clem comes over..." he thought. "She likes ice cream. I could get some." he continued thinking.
"Sawy- James?" a familiar voice interrupted his thoughts. Sawyer turned towards the voice and sighed. He wasn't up for a conversation. Sawyer saw a woman. Short with green eyes and light freckles. Her hair was a light brown or a 'dirty blonde' and pulled up into a messy bun. She smiled at him and he smiled back. It felt like it was the first time in forever that someone other then Clementine was making him smile.
"Kate?" Sawyer said.
