Chapter 11: Spy Wedding
Annabeth's POV (Remember our Percy is dead :'()
"Miss Annabeth! Miss Annabeth!" Sydney screamed as she knocked on the door. I groaned and got up. I had barely slept the day before thinking about Percy. The memory brought tears to my eyes again, but I declined them and walked towards the door.
"What's going-" Sydney instantly entered, not letting me finish my sentence. "What's wrong Sidney?"
"What's wrong! We're late that's what's wrong!" she screamed and walked towards the closet. She started to search through the outfits.
"We're late to what?" I asked confused.
Sydney turned to me shocked, "Why for your fitting of course!" she yelled and got back to work. She took out a light, blue summer dress and put it in the bed. "Now change, and hurry up!" she screamed as she exited the room and closed the door.
I looked at the outfit confused and then put it on. I exited the room where Sydney was impatiently waiting for me outside. She sighed in relief when she saw me.
"I was starting to get worried! Come on we have to go!" she grabbed my arm and dragged me downstairs.
"Where are we going?" I questioned as she dragged me towards the limo.
"Well to get you fitted of course! Now get in!" Sydney forced me inside the limo. I sat down, confused.
"Fitted for what?" I questioned.
"For your wedding! What else for!" she exclaimed.
"For my- oh..." I said remembering everything, unfortunately.
"I know you don't want to marry him, but it was his orders, we have to obey him because if we don't, bad things will happen," Sydney sadly declared.
"I understand," I said.
"Don't... you... think... it's... too... tight...?" I muttered as the saleslady tied the wedding dress.
"Oh it's perfect! Let's go with that one!" Sydney exclaimed.
"I don't really like it..." I said.
"How can you not like it! Plus you've tried like 20 dresses already!" she yelled.
"You said I could choose the wedding dress right?" I looked at her. She sighed and nodded. "Fine, then let me take my time."
I searched around the rackets, and one caught my attention. "That one," I pointed to it. The lady that worked in the private shop grabbed the dress and showed it to me. It was a beautiful, strapless dress with a bow tied around the waist on the left side; the bottom fell to the ground like a cascade.
"It's beautiful," Sydney murmured in awe.
"Yes it is..." I said, wishing I could marry Percy in the dress. But it's too late now, I frowned at the memory.
"Try it on!" Sydney exclaimed. I only nodded and grabbed the dress. I went into the fitting room and tried it on, it fit perfectly. It was so me, I stared at the beautiful woman in the mirror. I smiled until I saw the ring, that fancy, shiny ring. It was obviously mismatched with the dress. I sighed and exited the fitting room.
Sydney grinned widely when she saw me. "You look beautiful. That's the one, we're taking that dress," she confirmed.
I nodded and made a small smile. I entered back inside the fitting room and changed. I exited with the dress in hand. The saleswoman grabbed the dress and placed it in a big box with a red ribbon on top. She smiled at me and gave me the box.
"Aren't we going to pay?" I asked.
"Your fiancee has already payed," she confirmed. I nodded and walked towards the limo with Sydney, and the bodyguards.
"So when's the wedding?" I asked Sydney.
"Tomorrow," she said.
"What!" I screamed.
"The wedding is tomorrow," she repeated.
"But... how is everything ready so fast!" I questioned.
"Well, David got everything ready in a week, even before you came, he had already planned every single detail," Sydney sighed.
"That jerk," I muttered under my breath.
"Annabeth, he's the man you're going to live with for the rest of your life, might as well except it," she shrugged as we got in the limo.
"I guess," I murmured sadly.
"You're ready," Sydney smiled as she turned me to look in the mirror.
I stared at the woman. She had her blonde hair pinned to the side with a flower, creating a cascade of perfect curls. Her make-up was perfectly aligned with blush, mascara, eye-shadow, lipstick, and eyeliner. Her grey eyes sparkled with sadness hidden from everyone else. Her slim body was tied around in the beautiful wedding dress she had brought the day before. She looked beautiful, and it wasn't her.
She frowned, but she declined the tears that wanted to fall. She couldn't seem weak.
"Thanks Sydney, can you leave me alone for a second?" I asked her. She nodded understandably and left the room, closing the door on the way.
Once she was gone I walked towards my bed and grabbed the small bag I had in there. This was the only chance I would have to escape. I grabbed the small pocket knife from under my pillow. I traced my finger around the edges. Even if it means to kill someone. I placed the bag under one of my tights, and took a deep breath. I grabbed the boutique of flowers and placed the knife in the middle so no one could see it.
I opened the door and exited.
"I'm ready," I declared.
Sydney nodded and led me to the garden, where partners, friends, and some family of David were at. She stopped at the door and nodded for me to exit. I opened the door just as the 'here comes the bride' song started.
I slowly walked through the aisle feeling all eyes on me. I didn't smile, I just kept a straight face. After what seemed like decades I reached the arch. The priest said his whole speech, but throughout it I was lost. I couldn't hear anything. It was all silence but my heartbeat, which was beating 100 mph. I could see David smirking at me through the corner of my eye. I wanted to kill him right now. But I had to wait.
"David... do you accept Annabeth as your wife?" the priest asked.
"I do," he smiled.
"Annabeth... do you accept David as your husband?" he asked.
I took a deep breath and said, "I do."
"You may kiss the bride," the priest said.
David turned to me. I didn't smile. He was about to kiss me until... Bang!
And it wasn't the knife.
Author's End Note: I'm dead, I know. But I just had too. See you guys next time, the fanfiction is almost coming to an end. Review please!
