Disclaimer :
I do not own Kuroko no Basuke. All characters except the OCs belong to Fujimaki Tadatoshi-sensei. Maybe OOC. Sorry for bad grammars.
Kuroko was sitting on a bench while sighed heavily. That afternoon, the park was quiet lively with the children were playing around and their moms were giggling over something. She loved this kind of view, as the fact that she liked children, but that time it was not quite interesting for her.
"Here, Kuroyacchi," Kise gave Kuroko a glass of vanilla milkshake. Kuroko, quite surprised by Kise's appearance –black haired wig and a glasses as disguise, accepted the vanilla shake from Kise, who then took a seat beside Kuroko.
"Ah, thank you Kise-kun," mumbled Kuroko. Kise kept staring at Kuroko, his face was filled with worries.
"Are you okay Kuroyacchi? Well I think you're nervous since this is your first time with us, so don't take Aominecchi seriously, okay?" smiled Kise.
Kuroko, being reassured and at ease by the warm smile fro Kise, replied him with a small, tender smile on the face, "I'm alright Kise-kun. Maybe you're right. But I can't just take what Aomine-kun has said earlier lightly. As a professional, it is quite a slap right on the cheek for me."
Kise was a little bit flustered by what Kuroko had said, "Yeah, you're right Kuroyacchi, it's a basic that we should give it our all when it comes to the work. As your senpai here, I'm sorry," again Kise smiled, this time he ruffled Kuroko's hair too.
"Please stop it Kise-kun, I had to work hard fixing my hair this morning and now you ruin it all," Kuroko tried to put off Kise's hand off of her hair.
"Pfft..hahaha, I don't know that you actually can throw a joke like that," laughed Kise till he was about to fall off from the bench, which surprisingly Kuroko grabbed his arm fast just right before Kise fell, "I'm not joking, Kise-kun," said Kuroko with his flat expression.
Still laughing a bit, Kise wiped a little tears in his eyes due to excessive laughing, "Ah..sorry ne Kuroyacchi, but it truly surprised me, at first I thought that you're not fun at all."
Kuroko just sipped her vanilla milkshake. What Aomine had said earlier once again came flashed through her mind
"Oi, seems like Akashi had made the first mistake on his life," grinned Aomine.
Kuroko stopped singing. She turned towards Aomine. She could tell just by looking on his eyes, that he was looking down on her.
"What do you mean, Aomine-kun?"
"Didn't you all hear his voice? It's make me boring like hell. His voice is similar though with the one in the Kagami's song, but it's totally different when you hear it now. His real voice was so plain, nothing special. Wondering how come Akashi chose him as one of talents here," with that Aomine struck everybody in that room.
All people began to mumble about Kuroko, "Yeah, now you if you hear it his voice doesn't seem a special one…"
Aomine took steps approaching Kuroko, as Kuroko suddenly said, "Please let me have another chance, I will sing it properly once again."
Right after Aomine was only centimeters in front of Kuroko, he suddenly grabbed Kuroko's shirt by the collar, "Oi brats, since you're not stupid I think you should know that partnering with one of us mean that you have 'something' to show off. That kind of voice is even not worth to be heard, especially from a talent in this Teikou Management. If you're not serious with this then just get your ass off!" And with a yank Kuroko fell off to the floor.
"Enough Aomine-kun! Don't make a scene here!" furious Satsuki ran to Kuroko's side to help her stood.
"Tch, you make me disappointed Kuroya," Aomine walked out from the room, didn't forget to slam the door to surprise everyone.
You disappointed me… that sentence kept flashing in her mind though Kuroko didn't want to remember it. Suddenly she felt the urge to beat herself. What I'm doing, I'm just making Aida-san ashamed of me, thought Kuroko.
"Since this afternoon is so beautiful how about singing a little with me Kuroyacchi? I think you might feel better after this!" Kise brought up the idea with the sparkling eyes as usual.
"I don't feel like to do it, Kise-kun. Sorry. But if you want to do it, you can go on."
Kise looked like was thinking, "Well I have a place that I want to show you, I think it's more comfortable to sing there rather than here, since there are many people who can recognize my voice," and with that Kise grabbed Kuroko's right hand, left the bench an ran through the street.
Not very far from there they find a couple of bush, which lead them through a narrow path, deeper to another bush. Kuroko was wondering were they heading to a forest or what, since they were going into dark and gloomy bushes with a slightly uphill track, but soon she could see a glimpse of sunray, and then Kise dragged her out from the bushes. What Kuroko saw in front of her couldn't help to make her mouth agape. Just by her expression, Kise could tell that Kuroko loved this place soon.
"It's beautiful, right? I found it from almost a year ago and I always go here if I have a bad day," explained Kise.
"It's… very beautiful, Kise-kun," Kuroko still mesmerized by the view in front of him. Behind those bushes, there was a little space where she could see a stream of river from an uphill that reflected the sunray. The wild flowers grew in every corner, and Kuroko found kind of wild berries too. What made it more beautiful that there was a tree, which somehow the sunray could emerge and making lines of light through the leaves.
"See? Well let's sit there," said Kise as he sat on the ground. Kuroko went down too, then wondering the grass could actually be so soft as her fingers brushed against it. Somehow she felt warm and comfortable. Kise took off his glasses and wig, then he started singing.
Jouzetsu dayo sono shigusa mesen hitotsu te ni toru you da ne
(Those gestures say a lot, you know it just by looking )
Joudan daro sono teido ka? Manetakunaru kurai ni misete yo
(This must be a joke, is that all you've got? Show me something that's worth copying)
IMEEJI no saki mo ura mo doko kara demo kamawanai ze
(Even through the front and the back of an image, it doesn't matter where it comes from )
Shigekiteki ni

Perfect copy? no no mou sore ijou sa

ORIJINARU ga kasumu hodo no kire de kaesu ze
(Perfect copy? No no it's more than that
In an instant, it will be mine
It's your style, no no it's now mine
I'll return it with a counter that will make the original hazy)
"You're very good, Kise-kun," said Kuroko, clapping her hands. Kise smiled, "Nah, chotto matte Kuroyacchi," he took something on his pocket. He attached the earphone to his cellphone, "let's share the earphone now," said Kise happily.
"What for?"
"Just take it Kuroyacchi."
Although she was a little bit hesitate, but she still accepted the offers.
"I know one nice song," Kise began searching a song from his playlist, "Here we go," he said as he press the play button.
A second later, Kuroko's eyes widened in an instant.
tsukareta karada hodoku vanilla to kaze to, kimi to katatta yume
itsuka yakusoku no bashou he yukou
(My tired body unwinds with vanilla and the breeze, as I talked with you in my dream
Someday we'll reach that promised place. Someday we'll reach that promised place)
"Hey, it's our song," Kuroko couldn't hide his surprised and happy face.
Kise just hummed and continued to sing. Kuroko focused her attention, since after this was her part.
bukatsukaeri itsumo no mise madogiwa no seki ni suwatte

(At the shop I always visit on my way home from club, I sit by the window
There's various talking and silence around me as I drink my vanilla shake
My presence is hidden. You're completely surprised
Nowadays this is normal
Looks like I've found a teammate)
So this is his abilty, thought Kuroko. In no time, Kise could sang it perfectly, with no mistakes in both lyrics and keynote. She remembered that she did quite an effort to sang this song with no mistakes. There he was, Kise, singing like he had known and sang it for years.
guuzen no deai kamo shirenai

(We probably met by chance
But it's alright to believe that it was inevitable.
And now with all our might
We may forget to wipe our sweat)
Kise's voice was perfectly reflecting his personality while he was singing the song. The song had an image of a happy, cheerful, summer-feel refreshing. The image had been amplified by Kise's voice, which was as cheerful as his personality. That was something that Kuroko couldn't imagine before, that one of Kiseki no Sedai would actually sang in front of her, with her song –Kagami's song actually, but she had a spare there, and it totally left an awe for her.
houkago iki ga tsumaru kurai no netsu ga mune ni nagarekonde

(After school, a suffocating heat built up in my chest
Like the midsummer light, I reached my hand out for tomorrow.
My tired body unwinds with vanilla and the breeze, as I talked with you in my dream
Someday we'll reach that promised place)
No wonder they were called Kiseki no Sedai.
Maybe this song was just right to made for Kise. No, Kuroko shook her head. She had written this song for Kagami and herself, and that time she didn't even meet Kise yet, but why now she felt a sudden urge to sing along with him.

(We've set our eyes on the top. It's not a simple task.
Every day, always, every time, all along
Struggling and improving first to advance
We're different than we were before summer
But everyone is the same.
That's why we'll grow stronger. We'll take a challenge any time.
We'll strengthen our weakness, and resolve our anxiety. Each day will be a perfect combustion.
Take in the fighting spirit. Take in the sensation.
Your past self is now your easy victory.
There's no need to rush.
Without a doubt, we'll take it step-by-step.
Tomorrow you can fly higher. You'll see it when it happens.
You can surely do it.)
Even Kise covered both Kuroko and Kagami in the rap part.
"Yappari," Kuroko mumbled softly
guuzen no deai kamo shirenai
dakedo tanjun shinjitemo ii yo na
soshite mata kyoumo ore-tachi wa hitasura

Kise was surprised upon hearing Kuroko's voice that sang along with him. Nah, now why he felt so happy just by finding the reality that the teal haired boy beside him actually sang along with him?
houkago hashiru court no ue de kawasu omoi, tsutawaru no wa

It's your voice, more honest and stronger than any words
Now I'm glad that I can honestly say, "Good thing I didn't quit."
I understand what it's like to see meaning in everything)
….
The song ended, and a warm smile was laced on Kuroko's face. Kise furrowed his eyebrows.
Just now, Kuroyacchi's voice is the same as what I've heard on his song with Kagamicchi, Kise thought.
How come his voice sounded different compared to when they were having singing practice earlier?
"Ne Kuroyacchi~ can we sing it once again? You do your own part, I'll cover Kagamicchi's part, okay?"
Kuroko just nodded, then Kise press the replay button.
Once again they had a duet there, with no microphone, not in a stage, and using an mp3 file as their background music.
After the song ended, the realization hit Kise.
Kise put on his disguise again, "Now Kuroyacchi, let's head back to the office! Hurry," and he grabbed Kuroko's hand again just like when the two went there couple of minutes ago.
"What's wrong Kise-kun? Why we should head back in hurry like this?" asked confused Kuroko. He did hate running, but Kise had made her to run twice already today.
"I know why your voice sounded just not right before when we had the practice!"
"Is that so? Isn't that because I'm not getting used yet with the atmosphere like you said earlier?"
"There is another reason."
"What is that?"
Kise turned his head, smirk grew on his lips, "Nah let's save the reason for later."
Hehehe, are you curious minna? Let's wait for the next chapter! Feel free to leave comment!
