Thirteen: A Favor In Return

I don't know how long he walked, but it couldn't have been very long.I woke up to finding myself in his house. I supposed it was his house. I was shaking like a leaf, and my insides felt like they were caving in making me want to vomit. I was so worried for Nora. Were was she!? I should have just held her hand the entire time! How could I be so irresponsible!?

"Axel, Kairi? I think your friend's waking up." A soft feminine voice that I wasn't familiar with said somewhere around me. I look around carefully to see a girl, a little older than me with light blue jaw-length hair. She looked familiar from school, and if I wasn't mistaken I would say that she was Kairi's older sister....Aqua was it?

She was sitting across from me in a white mushroom chair, her ankles crossed and her hands folded tightly in her lap. She wore a navy-blue sundress with a black fancy button-up sweater and knee-high boots.

Her bright blue eyes were locked on mine with a soft and suspicious gaze to them.

I blinked a few times before pushing myself up with my arms to a sitting position. My head spun for a few moments, and my vision blurred. I couldn't remember if I'd hit my head on the pavement or not, the last thing I remembered was falling to my knees and Axel grabbing me by the arms trying to help me back up.

"Hey, are you feeling alright?" The girl sitting in the mushroom chair asked me softly.

I blinked again before giving her a small nod in response.

"Are…Are you…Aqua? Kairi's sister?" I asked, my voice was husky and dry as if I've hiked the desert for days with no water.

The girl nodded slowly before rising to her feet.

"Axel and Kairi are my younger siblings. I always care for them." Aqua replied. I watched her walk over to a mini fridge by a snowy-white dresser to pull out a bottled water, she smiled as she handed it to me as if reading my mind.

I thanked her quietly before my fingers clumsily slipped and fumbled with the cap to twist it off.

"Axel, Kairi, and Roxas are downstairs. They told me they found you downtown?" Aqua asked me as I tilted the bottle to my lips, guzzling down as much of the fresh and cold liquid my throat could swallow.

"What were you doing down there?" She shook her head the way a worried mother would do for her child. "It's so dangerous. Axel isn't suppose to be there but…this time I'm glad he was…if what he told me was true about you getting chased by three guys…."

My stomach turned uneasily at that. I was nearly gang raped and if it weren't for Axel and Roxas…I would have been. I swallowed hard before looking back at Aqua, she has returned back into her mushroom chair across the room. Giving me some space, and I admired her for that.

"It's true….if it weren't for your brother…I…I would have been…" My voice trailed off, I couldn't even say it. The knots in my stomach got tighter.

"It's alright, you're safe now." Aqua said softly. Footsteps were heard down the hall causing us both to look up at her doorway, finding Axel, Kairi and….Roxas…..

Our eyes met almost instantly.

"Hey, hey look who's finally up!" Axel greeted giving me a wide grin. Kairi ran to my side and threw her arms around me in a tight hug.

"Oh gosh! I'm so glad that you're okay!" She cried out into my shoulder, her little frame shaking. I would have hugged back if it weren't for Roxas's intense stare.

Was it worry? Protectiveness? I didn't care. All I knew was that I liked it.

"You…" Was all that came out from my mouth.

"Do you guys think that you could leave the three of us alone for a bit?" He asked his expression didn't change, and his gaze never left mine.

Aqua nodded before dragging Kairi out of the room by her arm, with Axel following wiggling his eyebrows at Roxas and I.

"Wait…you said the three of us?"

Roxas nodded and slightly moved to the side, and there was Nora with a bashful smile and a gaze of guilt in her eyes.

"Nora…." I breathed out, nearly dropping my water bottle. She was okay….she wasn't hurt…wasn't dead…wasn't stolen. She was here alive, and unharmed….

"Nora…" I repeated, this time dropping my water bottle and spreading my arms out wide for her that she quickly filled in with her small frame. Her warm and thin arms entangled themselves around my neck and her legs around my waist. "You're alright…"

"Mmhhmm…" She mumbled against my neck as I held her tightly against me as if she were about to disappear at any moment. I wouldn't let that happen. Not again.

Roxas leaned against the doorway, watching us patiently as we hugged and held each other tightly. After a few moments I pulled out of the hug slightly so I could look down at her.

"From now on, I don't want you going anywhere unless I'm right there with you and holding hands, understood?" I said in a firm voice.

Nora nodded slowly, the guilt on her face seemed to sprout.

"Sorry, I was just trying to catch that little white kitty…."

So that's what caused her to run off….a cat….

"But I didn't get to far….because your boyfriend here found me and asked me if I was your little sister, but don't worry! I didn't tell him until after he told me that he was your boyfriend because I know that it's not safe to talk to strangers but since he's your boyfriend he's not a stranger…right?"

I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks. Roxas told her that he was my boyfriend?

My eyes went to Roxas like magnets. The corner of his mouth was quirked up into the grin that I loved and that could make any girl fall to her knees in seconds.

I couldn't resist it. Couldn't deny it.

"Yes…" I spoke in nearly a whisper as I looked back down at my little sister. "That's right."

Nora smiled and hugged me once more. I kissed the top of her head before gently setting her down on the bed besides me.

"Try and get some rest, kitty….I'm going to go and talk to my…boyfriend for a bit. You're safe here."

Nora made shooing motions at me as if telling us to go on. I couldn't fight off a laugh.

"Alright, we'll be down the hall if you need us." I said before following Roxas out in the hall.

His smirk grew wider. He leaned up against the wall and folded his arms across his chest.

"W-what?" I asked. Knowing that my face was a cherry by now.

"Can I stare at my beautiful girlfriend?"

"I-I'm not your girlfriend….." I stuttered. My cheeks were so hot they felt like they were on fire.

Roxas laughed. "You just said so yourself a few moments ago to your little sister, you weren't lying to her were you?" He arched a perfect brow.

"Yes. N-No!" I nearly shouted out causing him to laugh once more and for me to sigh. I was pathetic.

"Well...as my girlfriend, and as for a special thankyou in return...I'd like for you to meet my family tomorrow."

I couldn't turn him down. Not after he's just saved me from being gang raped. More importantly, Nora.

I sucked in a deep breath. "Roxas, I would love to meet your family."
