"That was the best meal ever," Lloyd said, leaning back in his chair.
"Better than if we would've stayed in to eat," Kai agreed.
"Hey, it was my night to cook," Cole said.
"We are well aware of that," Jay mumbled.
"How much money do we have left after the bill is covered?" Nya asked.
Zane looked over the bill. "About a hundred dollars," he replied. "Shall we order dessert?"
"We really should be helping look for the other ninja," Cole said.
"Yeah, well, we'll get it to go," Kai suggested.
"Okay," Lloyd said. "Where's Kara?"
As if on cue, Kara walked over to group. "So is that it?" she asked.
"Actually we were wanting some dessert," Nya told her. "We'll take seven small sundaes to go."
"Okay, I'll be right back," Kara said, leaving.
"Seven?" Kai questioned.
"Alex would be quite upset if we didn't brin her something," Zane said.
"She's the one who avoided coming," Jay pointed out. "All because she didn't want to wear a dress."
"To be fair, Alex doesn't seem like the type that would wear a dress," Cole said.
"I've seen her wear a dress before," Kai said.
"So did I," Nya added. "It was the only time I've seen her wear one too."
"I've never seen her wear a dress," Lloyd murmured.
Kara came back with seven small containers in a bag. "Here you are," she said.
As she turned to walk away, Cole stood and placed his hand on her arm. "Kara, wait," he said. "Uh, I get you're mad at me and all, but I just want to put the past behind us."
"I don't," Kara said. "You broke the pact. How could you think I'd just forgive you like that?"
"I'm sorry," Cole said. "But I... Uh..."
"Have no excuse," Kara practically finished for him. "Now if you excuse me, I have to get back to work."
As Kara turned away again to leave, Cole started to follow her but tripped, knocking her forwards into another waiter. The waiter dropped a tray of food all over a couple.
"My dress!" the woman exclaimed, standing up.
Kara helped the other waitor back up and shot a glare at Cole. "I don't see why you can't just..."
"Kara!"
Kara turned to her boss. "Uh, yes sir?" she asked.
"That was your last strike," he said. "Go pack your things and go. You're fired!" Kara turned to Cole with a look of hate and left. Her boss turned, ordered the waitor to go have the chiefs remake the meal, and then turned to deal with the costumers.
"Wow, Cole," Kai said. "I never knew you could be such a klutz."
"Shut up, Kai," Cole growled. "Let's just pay and go." He pulled out his pay for the meal and set it on the table before leaving.
After everyone was done and outside of the restraunt, Lloyd pulled out his phone. "I'll see where Alex is," he said, dialing his sister's number. "Her and the others might already be looking for the other ninja." He put the phone to his ear and they started down the street.
"It's already dark," Kai pointed out. "Who would be up?"
"Cole, wait up," Kara said running over to the ninja. She was carrying a suitcase in her hand.
Cole turned around. "Kara! About what happened in there, I'm so..."
"I didn't come to hear your poor apology," Kara said. "But I think you owe me. I was only able to afford my hotel room because the restraunt owned it and I worked there. Now I have no place to stay. Where are you guys living?"
"A flying ship," Jay informed her.
"Great, perhaps I can share a room with your friend," Kara suggested.
"There's plenty of room," Nya said. "It's just me and Alex and it's a decent sized room."
"I don't know..." Cole started.
"Cole, you owe me big time," Kara said. "First you broke the pact and then you get me fired. The least you can do is let me stay with you."
"We'll talk to Sensei Wu about it," Cole said. "He gets final say."
"Great," Kara said.
"Guys," Lloyd said, hanging up his phone. "Alex said if we're helping then Cole, Zane, and I should meet up with Leo and Donny on the north side while Jay, Nya, and Kai you'll meet up with Alex, Mikey, and Raph on the south side."
"Nya, can you take Kara back to the Bounty to check with Sensei before heading to help?" Cole asked.
"Yeah, come on," Nya said, signaling for Kara to follow her. The two girls started back to where the Bounty was.
"So let's split up," Zane said. The ninja nodded and headed in seperate directions.
"This is boring," Raph said. "It always seems like we never know what we're looking for."
"You're right... For once," Alex said. "We need a lead..."
Suddenly there were sirens in the near distance. "This looks like a job for the ninja," Mikey said.
Raph and Alex grabbed his arms before he could jump off th building. "It may be a new world, but we're still turtles," Raph reminded him.
"And after the serpentine, people aren't going to be so friendly with any human reptiles," Alex added.
"We should still check it out," Mikey insisted.
"Let's go, Jay!"
Alex let go of Mikey and walked to the edge of the building. She saw Kai and Jay run by. "Guys, wait up!" she called. She turned to Raph and Mikey. "Stay hidden." Then she turned and jumped down.
"Alex," Jay smiled. "Glad you could drop in."
Alex moaned in annoyance. "Yeah," she said. "Anyway, Raph and Mikey are following from the rooftops."
"Good," Kai said. "If this is Pythor trying to get an advantage, we'll need their help."
They stopped a block away from where the police car was parked. "Go to the roofs," Alex said. "Make sure no one sees you."
They climbed up to the top of the building and snuck onto the one the police car was in front of. Alex crept to the edge of the roof and looked down. "Hey, remember that thing you did back in our world?" Mikey asked. "Where you could sense far away?"
"Yeah, I remember," Alex mumbled.
"Then do it here," Raph insisted.
"Can you even do that here?" Kai asked.
"I make no promises," Alex replied.
"Try," Jay said.
Alex closed her eyes and focused. She stood and turned around, but it was too late. Something jumped out of the shadows and knocked Jay down. "Don't move if you care for hissss life," it hissed.
The four exchanged looks and turned back to Jay. "Let him go," Kai growled.
"Yeah right," the figure said.
"Just... Who are you?" Raph asked.
"Name'ssss Taylyn," she said.
"Great, now release Jay or you'll have us to deal with," Alex threatened.
"Pythor ssssaid you wouldn't put your friendssss in harms way, Alexxxx," Taylyn said. She lifted Jay to his feet and moved towards the edge of the building. "Ssssurender now and no one needs to fall off a building."
"Guys," Jay said. "I'd prefer if my insides weren't all over the ground."
"Now what?" Mikey whispered.
"What choice do we have?" Kai asked. "I've got nothing."
"I bet I could get to the before she drops Jay," Raph said.
"No, you can't," Alex said. "I agree with Kai... For once. There's only one thing we can do."
"I'm glad you ssssee it my way," Taylyn smirked. "Now drop any weaponssss you have."
Kai took his Fire Sword and dropped it onto the rooftop. Raph let his sais fall and Mikey slowly set down his nunchucks. Alex pulled her dueling swords off their holster and set them down.
"Nicccce try weapon girl," Taylyn hissed. "Pink Flame, search her!"
A firgure walked over to Alex. "Spread."
Alex sighed in frustration. "I don't need searched," she growled. She pulled out a few daggers and dropped them on the roof.
"How do we know that'ssss not all?" Taylyn asked.
Alex pulled out another dagger. "I wouldn't put Jay's life in danger."
"Great," the girl behind Alex said. "This makes everything so much easier."
Pythor slithered onto the roof. "I see you two work fast," he noted. "Where are the others?"
Alex shrugged. "They could be anywhere."
"Be more specific," Pythor hissed.
"How specific?" Raph asked. "Because there's only so much detail we can give."
"As much as you can," Pink Flame said.
"Okay, they're that way," Kai said, pointing east.
"Kai!" Alex snapped. "Do you want Jay to fall off the building? They're that way!" She pointed west.
"I thought they were that way," Mikey said, pointing north.
"You're all idiots," Raph said. "They're that way." He pointed south.
"To be fair, I'm bad with directions," Alex defended.
"I think Raph may be right," Kai said.
"He is," Jay said. "Now can I be fully on the roof?"
Taylyn rolled her eyes and pushed Jay over to the others. "Sssso what now?"
"The other serpentine got the one we were looking for," Pythor said.
"What? Who?" Alex asked.
"That doesn't matter," Pythor snapped. "You two, keep them here while I get some other serpentine. They're coming with us."
Cliff hanger! Sort of! I guess! Just review...
