Nineteen: A New Location
"I'll kill him."
"Roxas..." I whispered, cautiously glancing over at our sisters that were still sleeping to my relief. The last thing I wanted Nora and Marlene to overhear Roxas saying that he will kill our father.
"I'm serious, Namine." Roxas replied, his voice was soft but I could pick up the sharp edge to it. "You and Nora don't deserve to live in that enviroment."
I sighed, he was right.
"I know, and we're not. I can't have Nora grow up like that...It was different for me because mum was still around but I can't keep living at Kairi's. Her parents have three kids of their own, all teenagers to be exact! They're not going to want another one plus a child with a genetic disease! Of course I don't blame them!"
Roxas held me closer to him.
"You know, my doors are still open...if you except to walk through them."
"Roxas..." I started but he cut me off.
"We'd be happy to have you and Nora, I know Marlene would."
I looked back at our sisters in the hospital bed besides ours. Buttercup was still fast asleep in Nora's arms, purring away. Nora had fallen asleep sitting up with her head slightly drooped over to her right side with Marlene sleeping right besides her, with her hands entangled in her's and using her shoulder for a pillow.
If anyone didn't smile at this view, they were completely heartless.
"We have to take a picture of them before they wake up." I said to Roxas with a smile. I looked back over at him to see him grinning.
"Already did."
The next day, Nora was out of the hospital and we found ourselves getting kicked out of Kairi's house, from Roxas of course.
"Thanks again, Aqua...for you know...Letting Nora and I invade your room for the past few weeks." I felt myself blushing.
Aqua laughed and shook her head. "Anytime! Seriously, it was great having you around an-KAIRI! GET OFF THE PHONE WITH SORA AND SAY GOODBYE TO NAMINE AND NORA!" Aqua shouted at Kairi down the hall.
"What!? She's leaving today!?"supported between her ear and shoulder, her arms full of clothes, her hair was frizzy and wild like she had just jumped out of bed.
Aqua raised a brow. "Wait...are those my clothes?"
"Yes! Yes! Yes they are! Mine too! I'll talk to you later Sora! Love you lots! Bye-bye!" She made a few kissie noises into her phone before dropping it to the floor, I wasn't sure if she actually hang it up and before I could say anything else the stack of clothes were now shoved into my arms, it was so sudden I nearly lost my balance.
"Kairi! That's MY scarf!" Aqua cried pulling a fuzzy blue scarf from the top of the pile of clothing that Kairi has shoved into my arms. "You're giving her MY scarf!?"
"Oh relax you! I'm giving her some of my things too! They're goodbye gifts!" Kairi replied with a roll of her eyes as she bent down to retrieve her phone.
"They're not goodbye gifts when we'll still see her at school!" Aqua cried.
"She's right, Kai. I can't accept these clothes, and they're yours."
"Oh! Don't be silly! We insist!" She caught Aqua's glare and rolled her eyes once more. "I Insist!"
I laughed as Aqua dug through the army of clothes in my arms to dig out her own.
"I also have a little something for Nora!" Kairi sang in a sing-song voice.
Buttercup was in Nora's arms, trying to grab at her hair with his paws. Thank God Roxas had him declawed so we didn't have to worry about Nora getting scratched.
"No thank you, Kairi! I got all the gifts I need right here!" Nora replied, hugging Buttercup close to her.
"And I have all the gifts I need too." I added pulling Kairi and Aqua into a hug. "Clothes can never replace incredible friends like you two, but I really appreciate your kind offer,Kairi.
"You're trying to make me cry, aren't you?" Kairi cried as I handed her clothes back to her.
"They won't fit me anyways, you're a lot smaller than me."
"By like, two inches!" Kairi replied followed by a snort.
"She means in size you ditz!" Aqua snapped while petting her scarf like it were a puppy.
"You can be such a bum!" Kairi said causing us all to laugh.
"YO! YOU! NAMINE, YOUR MAN IS HERE TO BRING YA HOME!" Axel's voice boomed from down the hall.
Kairi gave me another hug. "Here, I'll help Nora with her things, Aqua will get yours."
"Why must I always end with the bigger stuff?" Aqua asked. She bent down to grab my duffel.
"Because! I'm the youngest, and least strongest!" Kairi replied as she led the way down the hall.
"I can agree to that!" Axel yelled up from below the stairwell.
"Yup!" Aqua agreed
"Hey! Kairi squeaked, obviously offended.
I grabbed onto Nora's arm gently as we started down her stairs, I knew that she'd refuse to let go of Buttercup and she needed some support.
"I can't wait to live with Roxas and Marlene!" Nora said, smiling wide.
"I can't either." I could feel myself smiling too.
Roxas was waiting downstairs with everyone else. He smiled when he saw me.
"Hey, beautiful. You ready to go home?"
I felt my heart flutter when he said home.
From what Mum told me, living with a boyfriend was always a risky thing, and Roxas and I haven't been going out that long...
"Ready." I replied as my stomach was screaming. I turned over to Aqua and Kairi as they attacked me in one last group hug.
"We'll still see you at school! And call me every night! You promise me!?" Kairi demanded me, like a mother would to her child.
I couldn't fight a laugh.
"Yes, I promise Kairi."
She let me go to wipe a tear from her eye. "Good!"
"Wow...fwiends are crazy!" I heard Nora say to Roxas and Axel.
Apparently, we all heard it cause we were all laughing.
"Friends are crazy, little Nora..." Aqua said as she crouched down on her knees to hug her. "But they're always there for you when you need them."
"Are you sure that your family is fine with us moving in?" I asked Roxas as he pulled up to the Seventh Heaven.
"YES Namine!" He said with a roll of his eyes as he turned off the car. "I hope you're alright with sharing a room with me." He winked.
"S-share a room?"
"Yup, and bed." Roxas added as we helped Nora out of the car. I didn't know why, but this moment made me feel like Roxas and I are her parents.
"Roxas...We...we can't!" I nearly cried out.
"Can't what!?" Nora asked looking up at both of us, so was Buttercup.
Roxas laughed as he unlocked the door. "Relax, babe. Remember, Ventus is there too?"
I mentally face-palmed myself.
"Right...I knew that..."
"Uh-huh..."
"I DID!"
"Uh-huh!"
"STOP SAYING THAT!"
Roxas laughed. "Uh-huh."
Nora laughed with him.
"Nora! I thought you were on my side!?"
" I am!" Nora insisted as she gently dropped Buttercup to his feet. "But I'm also on Roxas's side as well!"
Suddenly Cloud walked in, looking as serious as ever. If looks could kill, the three of us would be dead by now.
I cleared my throat. "Hello, Mr Strife...thank's for letting my little sister and I stay with you guys..."
Cloud stared down at me hard, making me want to jump and hide behind Roxas, it was like he was trying to stare through my soul!
"Thank Tifa, it was her idea I-" Cloud paused to sneeze into his forearm.
"Bless you." The three of us said together.
"Thank y-" Cloud sneezed again, and then again.
Roxas started to laugh.
I raised a brow at him. "What's so funny?"
Marlene came out of nowhere, wearing a Jean-skirt and a yellow t-shirt with a panda eating a piece of bamboo.
"Oh! Didn't Roxas tell you!? Daddy is allergic to cats!"
"But he can deal with it." Tifa said coming into the room dressed in a pair of shorts and a black tank-top. I had to admit for having five children, Tifa was in amazing shape.
Cloud snarled as Tifa wrapped her arms around his waist to hug him from behind.
"Don't worry, Dad. I'll have Ventus dust-up the cat hair since he does nothing around here anyways!"
"NEITHER DO YOU!" I heard Ventus shout from above the stairwell.
Roxas looked down at me with a grin.
"Welcome to the Strife Household."
A/N: I couldn't resist adding the little argument with Roxas doing 'Uh-huh." its actually what my boyfriend does to me all the time and it drives me crazy! Hahaha! Anyways, thank you for reading! Stay tuned! :)
