The current lead me down to what looked like an abandoned small town submerged in the ocean. Swimming through it made me think of one of those old ghost towns in the west with the saloons and old timey market places. Even though it was a small town how was I going to find it? Once again the current gently pulled me to an old saloon. The place was totally trashed from turned over furniture to floating garbage like this bag of chex mix passing by. I imagined when the comet came the bar went out in an all out brawl like they did in the movies.
Without warning my hand bumps into something hard. The pain is like fire shooting up into my arm and shoulder. Even though my mouth is filled with water (for some unexplainable reason I can still breathe) I silently screamed at the pain. Just like the pain Beatrice's voice spoke in my head. "You alright, honey?"
"Yeah, just bumped into a chair or something," I thought back nursing my hand. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a mirror large enough to see the whole body I was temporarily occupying. Curious I swam to it to get a better look at myself. As if in response to my curiosity the white part of the tail became to glow white turning the red into a bright pink giving me a better look. I've always known Bea was beautiful but seeing through her eyes just intensified that. It made me wonder if she liked to look at herself often. Being in her shoes so to speak I wouldn't be able to look away from the mirror….let alone to stop touching myself.
My hands went to her breasts with her hands being slightly smaller then mine her tits felt bigger which was very arousing. For a few minutes I watched myself fondling her breasts feeling desire burn within me causing her folds to open up like a flower. I was about to fulfill her bodily urges when I heard her speak again. "As much as I want you to now isn't the time to play with yourself."
"Oh come on, Bea," I protested "It's not everyday you get to be a girl and…."
"You'll be able to do all that later but now you need to….WATCH OUT!" Without needing to ask why I saw in the mirror I wasn't alone. Behind me a saw these bright glowing eyes with sharp teeth to match it. I swam back into the current before the creature could put its claws on me. With eagerness to get out of this death trap I swam faster with the current, leading me down to a cellar. Unfortunately there were more of those things down there floating around like eels; the book was in the middle of the nest.
I was hesitant but I know I needed to act fast and get it now. Closing my eyes I swam with the fastest speed possible and bolted into the nest. Through the quick dash I felt several quick and painful scratches on my body but I was able to get the book out of the saloon with consequences. Quickly I swan up to the surface with blood rushing out of me making me feeling dizzying. When I made it to the surface all the energy to swim was drained out of me, in fact I was feeling sick.
"Bea," I called out weakly as I heard a loud splash. Feeling so weak I would have dropped the book and myself if someone didn't catch me. "Bea," I called out her name again. I got a response but it wasn't Bea.
"Why are you calling your own name?" asked Rebecca, pulling me out of the water. If I wasn't so ill I would have been able to panic but I was too weak even for that. As we were being pulled out of the hole my vision was fading then finally everything went black and I dreamed:
I was on the beach still in Bea's body. I was dressed in a white dress billowing lightly with the wind. My body felt arms wrapped around my waist as I stared into the ocean I yearn to see someday. I shudder at the kiss on my neck, the hands threatening to do away with the dress. As the owner of the tender touches was about to kiss my lips I immediately pull away, I was staring at my body. The look on my face was hurt.
"What's wrong, dear? Don't you love me?"
"I love Bea," I said straight forward.
"I know you do but, don't you love me?"
"What do you mean?" I asked my body came closer both hands on my shoulders.
"Do you love yourself?" he said pointing to himself. I was silent not wanting to answer him. If I was younger I would have answered myself yes with pride now I barely want to look in the mirror. Still not wanting to answer him, he continued, "Cause how can you love Bea if you can't love yourself?" Hearing that question struck a painful cord. Out of anger I slapped myself in the face.
"How dare you! I don't know what she sees in me but she makes me feel beautiful every time I'm with her and if she were gone I…..I'll have nothing," I spat back not wanting to look at myself anymore. Even with my eyes shut the tears still stun my eyes. Once again I felt my hand around my waist.
"Don't you want to know what she sees in you?"
"Yes."
"Then look at me." I was frozen to the spot, I didn't want to turn around and face the fact I was old.
"Please, look at me," pleaded myself, I can almost hear the sorrow in my own voice. If that voice pleaded out of anger I wouldn't have turned around. Anger was a little selfish but sorrow demanded the truth so I turned around to look at myself. There is no lying time has aged my looks but the longer I've looked at myself I've began to notice why Bea was attracted to me. I still had my bright blue eyes when I was young, my eyes were always the best feature on my face. Looking into my eyes I could almost see my younger self.
"What do you see?" my body asked, I put my hands to that face feeling the features. "I see…"I began but I couldn't put it into words, what I saw through Bea's eyes was beautifully unexplainable as herself. Words failing to answer I kissed that face instead, my fingers curling through the white soft hair. My body responded by kissing me back, our bodies falling into the sand. The way my body caressed her body I knew why she chose me as her lover. With our cloths as our bedding I was more then eager to make love with myself when I heard a loud scream….
I opened my eyes to see I was in a room meant for a teenaged boy with the pictures of half naked woman on the walls. Groggily I sat up on the bed I was in with an IV drip in my arm. Again I heard another scream mixed with laughter. "I told you a thousand times I'm not…..Kesslee, I'm Beatrice Rose….and you all look funny!" The third scream got me off my feet with my head spinning.
"Whoa, girl, you need some rest, you had it pretty bad," said a feminine voice, I turned to see it was the girl with the stringy hair and a talent for building jets. Pushing her out I pulled out the IV and ran to where the screams where coming which was a very bad idea. I followed the screams to find my body tied to a table with an oxygen mask on the face. Several Rippers were standing around the body.
"I'll ask you again, what are your plans?"
"My plans? My plan is to go see the world's biggest ball of yearn!" Again another shock with another painful scream. Even though I was sicker then a dog I ran over to protect Bea and my body.
