Rath had a rage inside of him that he never let go of. He hated himself for not being able to protect his mother and father. As a boy of sixteen, Rath was strong willed, defiant, and most of all fiercely loyal to the King who took him in when he was so alone. Rath grew up with the King's son Zan, and they both looked at each other as brothers. Rath had, even in small moments, thought of the King as the father that he lost ten years ago. They competed with each other, fought alongside each other, but most of all they were there for each other. Rath was allowed to work on training his abilities, and each day he found that he was getting stronger. Power such as his, was unheard of. He refused to let the same horrible fate happen to his adoptive family.

Now at sixteen, he was ready for the battle of his life. He would finally be able to fight the monsters that killed his family. Ten years had passed and not a moment went by that he did not think of this day. He knew he might die in this battle. The night before, he could not sleep. Anxiety filled him straight down to the core. Electricity was sparking in green bolts all over his body. Now he is on the fighter jet. Tears forming in his eyes as this was the last place that he saw his family alive, and today he means to end the lives of many more.

"NOW!" Screamed his captain. This was the signal for all on board to jump from the plane straight into action. The King was already down there, leading his force. Prince Zan was at the command center, and the rest of the royal family were still on Antar, awaiting news of this ever so crucial battle. Rath jumped to his feet, ready to be the first person out of the plane. "Not yet Rath," his captain informed him, "You will be last."

Rath started to protest, but he knew his place. This was an important battle and his actions on the field today could determine the outcome of the war. The plane was set to drop him near the King. The surprise of his presence there would get the Skyns attention, and it was their hope that it would scare the majority into submission.

The plane neared Rath's final goal. He was ready. He looked to the green force field that was set up to catch his quick decent. He jumped while still a mile in the air, wind rushed over his body as he opened his arms to open his wing suit. It did not reduce his descent, just allowed him to control it. Ten seconds later, he crashed into the green mesh. The green mesh enveloped him, stopping him just inches from the ground. It released him just as fast as it caught him. He quickly scanned his surroundings, trying to find the King.

When he found the King, he was encompassed by enemy soldiers. Rath could see that the King was outnumbered. He rushed to him, ready to take out as many of the enemies as he could. He remembered feeling so helpless when he was small. The memories of the look in his father's eyes, when he was impaled, flooded back to him. He raised his hand and the electricity within him sparked out, killing at least 50 of the enemy Skyns that where around the King. The King turned with a glorious look on his face. Finally the boy, that he raised as his son, was there. Finally, the King thought, finally this war is won. The King knew how powerful Rath was and he was just as confident that Rath would be the one who would win the war. Yet what both Rath and the King did not see was the leader of the Skyn's, who was untouched by the electric fire that just wiped out all of his guards. He moved with such speed that neither of the two Antarians saw what happened next.

Rath saw the King looking at him the way that his father used to look at him. He felt an acute sense of joy, knowing that he saved the man who saved his life. That was, until the look on the Kings face turned to one of great pain. Blood spilled out of the corner of his mouth. Rath froze. He felt like the little six year old boy again. The fear and pain of watching his mother's life slip from her frail, beaten body was bubbling up again. He has spent the last ten years training to hold his emotions in, and in a blink of an eye it was back. The fear, the sadness, the loss and the rage. It was all back as he watched his beloved King fall to the ground. The Skyn responsible looked at Rath and dared to laugh.

Rath's blood began to boil, veins popped out of his muscles, and silent tears ran through his soul. A silent wave burst from his body, a powerful circle sent a silent death to all who were with in a 10 mile radius. Antarians, Skyns, and soldiers from the other three planets fell silent. The Skyn leader was the first to feel this wave, and yet he was also the last. It was as if Rath held his own wrath in, for just a second, just so this monster could see what would happen to all his people. Rath then slowly allowed all his emotions loose upon the leader, who had caused all that torment. Ever so slowly, he watched as the Skyn leader fell apart, piece by miserable piece.

It was in this moment that all fighting ceased. Negotiations began immediately. Peace was on its way, yet there would be no more peace for Rath. This young sixteen year old boy, who had never really ever been allowed to be a child, had battle scars that now ran deeper than his own hardened soul could bare.
