Jack slowly looked down at the floor before speaking. "Did your water just break?"

She nodded weakly, and Jack let out a sigh of exasperation, running his hand through his hair. "Of course it did."

"I-I'm okay now. Let's go while we can, okay?"

"We're screwed!" Jack moaned as they began to walk again. "You know, I'm really not in the mood to deliver a baby today."

"Yeah, well, neither was I. I thought I still had a few months, but no, here I am, running from Kovarian, with no idea where my husband is!" Her tone grew louder and angrier as she spoke.

He glanced at her. "Hey, calm down. Every thing's going to be okay."

She sighed, face red. "Maybe."

They came up to a doorway with stairs; River looked down. "Only a single flight?"

"Guess you have to go down the hallway to reach the next flight. Makes escaping harder, that's for sure. Need some help?"

She shook her head, an eyebrow raised. "I may be in labor, but that doesn't mean I'm handicapped."

They went down the steps, one by one, quickly at first but slowing down as they went farther down the flight. River held onto the railing tightly, forcing her body to continue moving when all it wanted was to lay down.

Jack stood at the end on the stairs, looking up at her, waiting nervously. They were short on time, and he needed her to speed up, but he knew that would just end badly, so he kept his mouth shut.

Finally, she reached him, a look of slight discomfort on her face. "Are you doing okay?"

She started to nod, but was interrupted by another sharp pain. She yelped, gripping his arm tightly, waiting for her contraction to pass. It eventually did, and she released his arm, breathing heavily.

"Where's the Doctor at a time like this?"

The Doctor ran around the halls, searching for the Tardis. Where am I? He thought to himself as he turned what was probably the same corner he had walked past five minutes beforehand. He knew there was a garage somewhere in this place, and he had a feeling the Tardis would be in it, most likely heavily guarded.

He sighed, scratching his neck nervously. How long had they been there? And where was his wife? He hoped Jack had found her by now, and that they were on they're way.

He was running down the halls at this point, the walls and doorways blurring past him to a point where he almost rushed past the opening to the garage. He skidded to a halt and turned back quickly, checking the doorway out.

He could see it. He could see his Tardis. He glanced behind him before looking inside again. Strange. There didn't seem to be any guards in the nearby radius, and there wasn't a gate or any locks to be seen in the doorway. The Doctor swallowed nervously. He had a feeling that this was a trap.

With a sigh, he pulled out his sonic, knowing that either way, he was going to be trapped. In a swift movement, he entered the room, the doors shutting loudly behind him.

He banged on the doors for a moment before turning back to the Tardis. Now to find River.

River almost rammed into Jack as he stopped abruptly in front of her. "Shit..." He muttered, looking down the hall from the corner, attempting to hide.

"What?" River whispered. "What is it?"

"More guards." He hissed back.

River glanced over him, and sure enough, there were more guards. "Is that the only way?"

Jack nodded slightly. "Last staircase until the garage, too."

River's shoulders drooped slightly in exasperation. "Damn."

"Distraction maybe?" Jack then started to quietly go into a detailed plan, involving him running forward and promptly stripping. River would be chuckling if it wasn't for the fact that she wasn't listening. Her attention was on something behind them. Jack continued to ramble on.

He was cut off by a hand on his shoulder and the sound of River clearing her throat. "Er, Jack?"

He looked up at her; she gestured with her head to something behind them. Sure enough, more people were coming, swiftly.

"What do we do?" River hissed loudly.

"Run for it?"

River started to shake her head, but lurched forward, another wave of pain coursing through her body. They needed to do something, fast.

Jack glanced back and forth between the two groups of guards, both closing in on them at an alarm. With a sinking feeling in his gut, he realized there was nothing they could do. They couldn't run, they couldn't cause a diversion, not with this many people around them. They were trapped. How the hell do I always get pulled into these situations? He thought to himself, his arms slowly wrapping around River, in an attempt to protect her. His eyes closed, as if to brace himself from whatever the guards were going to do.

The hits or beams of gun never came. Instead, the sound of the Tardis materializing filled the air, and when he opened his eyes, he found that they were all in the Tardis, with the Doctor flying around the console as he entered coordinates.

"We don't have much time." He said urgently. They could hear voices outside the doors. "This will give us enough time to find something to fight Kovarian with, but not much." He flipped a switch, the Tardis beginning it's movement to where ever the Doctor was moving them.

"Sorry it took me so long, I couldn't find-"

River attempted to cut him off. "Doctor-"

He didn't hear. "And then I almost ran past it, but luckily-"

"Doctor!" He stopped, looking at the two of them.

"Yes?" He asked quizzically.

Jack and River shared a look before River spoke.

"I'm in labor."
