Apologise for how long this has taken, but I've finished my mocks, although I think I've done really badly in them, which means that I might be able to update more often. Plus it's Christmas soon so we break up from school which also means more updates. Hopefully people are still reading this, although it wouldn't surprise me if they weren't, because it has been such a long time. If you are, please leave a review, because I love to read them :) xx
Sacha and Mo got in the front, Mo started the car without a word, and an awkward silence fell over them.
Mo drove out of the small estate she lived in, and after a few minutes, turned the radio on as she felt it may make it a little less awkward for everyone else in the car. Seeing as it was Christmas Day, the songs that were playing on all channels were Christmas ones and Mo knew Jac didn't like Christmas, so was expecting some comment to turn them off. However, she didn't get one, which caused Mo to look in the mirror to see if Jac was alright.
Jac wasn't paying any attention, she was sat looking out the window, thinking. Thinking about how much her life would be changing now, thinking about the role she had to step up to be and thinking about everyone she had to prove wrong. She watched as the cars rushed by, and when they stopped at the traffic lights, looked into the window of a house on the other side of the road. There was a family there, a mother and a father with their two young children that had excitement all over their faces, pulling the wrapping paper of the presents they were so eager to play with. A lorry pulled up in the lane next t them, waiting for the traffic lights, which had now changed. Jac looked back in window and sighed. One of the children was crying, and there was anger on the fathers face. She turned away from the window and caught Sacha looking round at her.
"Are you alright?" Sacha asked her, worried at how quiet she was being.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be," she answered confused.
"Because you're crying," he told her.
Jac frowned, and brought her hand up to her face, where she felt the tears that were running down them. She took her hand away from her face and looked up at Sacha. He read the confused look and decided not to press it any further; he wasn't sure whether she was just emotional like she had been earlier that day about it being Christmas or because she may have a child in less than 24 hours.
Mo pulled up outside Jac's, after getting directions from Jac, which she was annoyed about having to give as Mo had already dropped her off once here today. Jac got out the back of the car and walked over to her bungalow that she was currently sharing with Jonny until they were able to find somewhere bigger for all three of them. Jonny had been adamant about putting up a tree, but Jac had persuaded him against it. He had also wanted to put up a few decorations and cards, but Jac had told him that because it was her home, she was in charge if what happened, and that meant no decorations and no cards.
Jac was about to unlock the door when she realised that she hadn't heard Mo's car pull away. She turned around to look at the road just as Sacha and Mo closed their doors in unison. Jac sighed, as she realised that she would have to put up with both of them until Jonny got here as neither were willing to leave her by herself at the moment.
Sacha saw the annoyed expression on her face and walked up to her, taking the keys. "You know you want to smile. And I know that you really appreciate me and Mo sticking around so you will be safe."
"Oh, yeah, thank you so much. I just love the fact that I get to spend my day with two people who are in love but won't admit it and are too scared to speak to each other about it," she replied sarcastically.
"Now you know how everyone else feels about you and Jonny then, don't you," he said with a smile. Mo had now joined them by the front door and agreed.
Sacha opened the door and stepped over the pile of cards on the mat. He put the keys down on the small table and took off his coat before throwing it on the floor next to the table, knowing that he was welcome here and always treated this place like his own. Jac followed him and done the same, removing her shoes so she could out her slippers on.
Mo walked in, almost stepping on the cards that, although Jac didn't want, were perfect and still clean, no matter how long they had been sat there. Mo closed the door behind her and took off her shoes, leaving them neatly out of the way of the door and put her jacket on the hook by the door. She walked through the same way as Sacha and Jac had, and found herself in Jac's living room. She saw Jac sitting on the sofa, with her legs curled up, and it seemed Sacha had gone through to the kitchen.
Jac looked up at Mo. "If you want a drink, just get Sacha to make you one," Jac told.
Mo found it strange that Sacha was so welcome in Jac's home in the way that he was. He seemed to know where everything was and he also seemed able to do as he pleased. For some reason, she was treated more like a guest by him in her own home.
Mo walked through to what she assumed was the kitchen and found Sacha waiting for the kettle to boil.
"You don't making me a tea do you?" she asked him.
"Of course not," he said smiling at them.
The two looked at each other, both smiling although not saying anything. Sacha knew what Jac had said was right, and he knew that he and Mo both felt the same way. He also realised that he should ask her soon otherwise he might lose his chance with Mr.T on the scene, and with Chrissie gone, well, now would be good.
"Do you want to take some biscuits into the other room? And I'll bring the drinks through when there finished," he said, getting a packet of biscuits from the cupboard to the right of his head.
Mo felt her face fall, and hoped that it wasn't obvious that she was disappointed that that was all her had wanted to ask. She agreed and took the packet, a smile back on her face and walked through to the living room where Jac was.
She put the packet on the table in the middle of the room, and instantly Jac reached out to grab them. After opening them and putting on in her mouth, she took a few out of the packet and put them back down, not wanting to look to fat in front of Mo.
After finishing her biscuit she turned to Mo who was now sat in the chair over by the shelves. Most of them where full of books, although one of them had a few photo frames, and she found Mo looking at the photos in them.
Jac knew she would have to explain the people in the photos, which she didn't really want to do, as it meant that Mo knew even more and the fact of digging up painful memories that she tried to ignore.
"Do you want to put the TV on?" Sacha asked as he came walking through the door with their drinks. He placed them on the table and took a biscuit. Jac shrugged, as did Mo, who was still looking at the photos.
Sacha sighed and walked over to the TV, putting it on a picking up the remotes, his back on both Mo and Jac. He turned around and saw Jac in pain, her hands on her bump, holding her breath, before she let it out and carried on eating her biscuit, hoping no-one saw her. Sacha carried on, like he hadn't as he knew that was the way she wanted.
He sat down and switched through the channels until he found something interesting; The Grinch. Sacha loved that film and he watched it every Christmas. Jac was about to talk when Sacha told her to be quiet because he was watching the film.
It had only been on a few minutes and Sacha was already into it, so was annoyed when Mo's phone rang. She took it out of her pocket and left the room to answer as she knew that Sacha wanted quiet for the film he was watching. She looked at the caller ID and saw it was Jonny. She answered and put the phone to her ear.
"Jonny Mac," she said with a smile, hoping he was going to say that he would be round Jac's soon.
"I may have a slight problem..." he told her, trailing off.
Sorry if this is rubbish, hopefully it's not, so leave me a review to tell me how to improve (or just to say you like it, whatever, it will be appreciated). I was wondering if you guys wanted Mo and Sacha to get together in this, or not, and also would you prefer shorter chapters that could be uploaded more often, or do you like longer ones? Anyway, hoped you enjoyed :) xx
