I know I haven't updated in like forever, literally, and I'm really sorry for keeping you waiting for such a long time. I'm currently only updating this fic, so sorry as well if you are reading the others. I posted a A/N a while back which explains everything if you wanted to know. Anyway, I really hope this is okay, and I won't be surprised if people have given up on this fic, or any of my stories to be honest with you really xx
"I may have a slight problem..." he told her, trailing off.
"What? You're going to be able to come home from work aren't you," Mo asked, making sure she kept her voice down so Jac wouldn't hear her.
"Well, there's a transplant case, and I need to go and collect the heart and lungs from another hospital, everyone else working in transplant seems to have taken the day off," he explained, sounding extremely annoyed.
"Are you serious Jonny? You need to be here for Jac now."
"I know that, I've tried to get out of it, but there doesn't seem to be a way. Can you tell her I'm on my way, and try to make sure she doesn't have the baby yet," he asked.
"How do you except me to keep her from giving birth Jonny," she hissed down the phone, still trying to keep her voice down, although he was being rather ridiculous.
"Please Mo, just do something. Right, I've got to go, I'll be there as soon as I can," and he hung up.
Mo put her phone back in her pocket and walked back into the lounge where she found Sacha sitting watching the TV with immense concentration so he wouldn't miss anything, even though he had seen the film so many times he had even lost count.
"Who was on the phone?" Jac asked her, hoping he may have been Jonny telling her that he was leaving the hospital, because although she didn't want to admit it, she really wanted him now. She was scared, and she knew that he would be able to make things seem better.
"Umm," Mo said, trying to think something up that seemed believable. "It was just my mum, she wanted to make sure you were alright and all."
"Oh, okay," Jac said trying not to sound disappointed, though Mo noticed how she sounded, and it made her feel even worse now she knew Jac was hoping Jonny would be back soon.
Mo went to sit back down in her chair, which was over the other side of the room. As she sat down, she noticed that all the biscuits had been eaten while she had been gone and smiled to herself slightly when she noticed a pile of three next to Jac that she was nibbling, causing a pile of crumbs to be created.
She turned her attention towards the film, though found it boring as she had seen it many times before and wasn't as into it as Sacha seemed to be. She decided that she would tell Sacha about Jonny not being able to get back as soon as Jac was out of the room for a while, which was made easier for her by Jac's need to go to the toilet frequently.
"Urgh," Jac groaned as she got up from the sofa she was lead across.
"Where are you going?" Mo asked her.
"The the toilet if you must know," Jac answered.
Mo nodded, and as soon as she was out of the room, got up and paused the TV.
"Hey, I was watching that!" Sacha exclaimed, annoyed with Mo.
"I need to tell you something, it's important," Mo told him.
"What?" Mo noticed how he sounded slightly worried; obviously having gathered it was something to do with Jac.
"Jonny can't get here for a while. He's had to go over to another hospital to get a heart and lungs for a transplant case that's turned up today," Mo explained.
She watched Sacha's face as he frowned, thinking, before answering.
"Is he going in on the operation?"
"Don't know."
"When is he going to be back?"
"Don't know."
"Are you going to tell Jac?"
"Don't know."
"That's useful then, but you've got to tell her Mo, she really wants him here, and she's expecting him to be back soon," Sacha told her.
"But she'll be so upset, how am I supposed to tell her," she exclaimed, annoyed at the lack of help she was receiving from him.
"I have no idea, Mo. Maybe you just shouldn't tell her just yet I mean things would be much easier if she never found out," he suggested.
"Yeah, but if she found out, she would be so cross with us for not telling her about it, wouldn't she?"
"I don't know, why are you asking me?"
"You're supposed to be her best friend, you should know her better than anyone."
"I do know here better than anyone, but that doesn't mean I know her especially well. Jac's confusing at the best of times, hormonal and pregnant doesn't help that."
Mo sighed and hit him lightly across the shoulder, annoyed, but knew he was right in what he was saying. Of course she believed not telling her would end them being in more trouble in the long run, and she knew that Jonny was relying on her to do what was right, she just didn't know what that was yet. Yet. As if it would be made easier as the day passed on. She just didn't know how much worse things could get.
I know this is terrible, and I'm so sorry for how long this has taken for me to update, but my schedule has been pretty full and my GCSE's start on Tuesday so I have even more things to worry about. I have decided however, as it would give me a vreak from all the revising to have 1 day each week where I just update and write chapters, as I figure the sooner I finish the 3 fics already started the sooner I can move onto all the other ideas that won't stop floating around in my head. Anyway, please leave me a review, because they defiantly make me update faster :)
Thanks for reading xx
