Two updates in one day bc I love you guys. Thank you to those of you who are sticking with this and sorry about the swearing. On with chapter 11.
"Put that bitch Jac on the phone now."
Sacha shuddered as he heard the man talking about Jac in that way. He was aware of Mo's eyes on him and he tried to remain calm and in his usual Sacha way, not wanting to worry her and think there was anything wrong.
"Jac isn't here right now," he said calmly.
"Are you that fucking boyfriend of hers?"
Sacha angered more, hearing him talking like that about two of his close friends. It was very unlike himself to feel this way, so instead decided to ignore it and try and get some information out of the man.
"No, I'm not, what do you want?"
"So the slut is sleeping with you as well, huh?" The man laughed and it sent shivers down Sacha's spine. The fact the man thought it acceptable to talk about someone in such a manner repulsed him and he was disgusted at the man. He decided not to retaliate, deciding he would make things much worse.
"No, shall I tell Jac a message from you?"
"Yes, you tell little Jackie I'm still waiting. She wouldn't want anything to happen to that baby of hers that's soon to be born," he said, again with a laugh.
Sacha had no understanding of what had driven this man to say such a thing.
He heard a thump, and turned to look at Mo who was already moving towards the door. He was glad she had left the room, knowing that with the previous comment his composure had changed, and he had no desire for her to wish what he was to say next, as she would know something was incredibly wrong as it was so unlike him to react to anything in this way.
"You listen to me, if you dare lay a finger on Jac, her baby, or anyone of importance in her life, you are going to be sorry. That woman has so many people who care about her and you wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of them alright?"
"You sure you're not sleeping with her? Just give the bitch the message, that's all I'm asking."
Sacha was again about to speak, but the man hung up and he was left with a beep noise. He had no idea who that was, or any idea why they would be calling Jac. He couldn't ask her, she would deny anything and he didn't want to worry her know anyway. He thought back to the previous weeks, seeing if anything had changed in Jac.
He hadn't seen much of her recently, and whenever he did she seemed fine. But he knew it was just a mask. There was defiantly something going on, and he recalled Jonny asking him to have a word with her because he was increasingly worried about her. He had, of course, spoken to her but she had dismissed that anything was wrong, telling him it was juts hormones and the fact that she had been banished to paperwork during the last few weeks of her pregnancy.
He hadn't thought anything of the answer, remembering what his previous wives had been like when they had been pregnant. He should have realised something was wrong, he should have known that Jac was keeping something from him. From everyone apparently.
The phone call had made him increasingly worried about what she may be hiding from them all. There were many secrets Jac had, only limited people knowing limited details about, but he was one of the people who knew, he was one of the people who she could trust and so many of the things that had happened were, in his eyes, horrific, so he was concerned as to what she wasn't able to tell him.
He knew he couldn't let anybody knew that he knew anything, and he would have to somehow persuade Mo that everything was alright. He would somehow have to decided the right time to bring it up with Jac, but he in no way wanted to put any pressure on her what with the baby almost here.
He sighed and stood up, going to find where Mo had gotten to and what the thump had been. It only then clicked in his mind that Jac might have fallen and something may have happened to her. From the door to the lounge, the toilet door was visible and he saw Mo talking. She then turned and made her way back over towards the lounge.
"What happened?" he asked, the worry thick in his voice.
"She slipped on some water on the floor. She banged her head as she fell but the door is locked and she can't reach it. She's in some pain, so I'm going to call an ambulance out."
"If she can't get out, aren't you going to need the fire brigade as well?"
Mo agreed and made the call, Sacha grateful she hadn't bought up the phone call he had been having with the mystery caller.
It then dawned on him that he hadn't got a name, just a message, one he was still reluctant to think about let alone voice to Jac. Would she know who the caller was? Or would he just be delivering her a message from someone she didn't know?
Either way he knew who she was, for he had used her name, and it was unfair for him not to tell her wasn't it? Let her go on, not knowing something could happen to her daughter at any point, and if it did he would have to deal with the guilt.
As Mo spoke over the phone his eyebrows met as he frowned. He didn't know, and he had to decide by himself. Whatever he did had downfalls, and whatever he considered made the other option seem a better idea.
So yeah, sorry about all of this, it's actually dreadful. Sacha is so out of character, I know. Please review tho :)
