Chapter 6

RPOV

I had never felt so warm and secure in all my life as a vampire. Being held by my mate was the best feeling in the world, the warmth of my Bella's skin, the gentle strokes of her fingers along my sides, the way she nuzzled her nose into my neck inhaling my scent just as much as I was inhaling hers.

Bella sighed into my skin and looked up at me through her thick eyelashes, her eyes smouldering. Her fingers which had been idly moving up my side started to slowly creep around to caress my inner thighs, making my body tingle with pleasure. She pushed herself up and curled her arms over my head, slowly lowering her body to align perfectly with my own, our legs tangling together.

Bella looked me deeply in the eyes, with a small smile on her face. "I love you", she whispered, her lips brushing up against mine. I smiled, and softly replied "I love you" back. She smiled and gently pressed her lips against mine in a sweet kiss, one that was just to enjoy the feeling of each others lips, the feeling of each others bodies against one another.

Bella looked around us, examining our surroundings before kneeling and offering her hand to mine to help me up. I just smirked and ran my hands teasingly down her sides before brushing my fingers gently against her smooth folds. Her breath quickened and she slowly lowered her body back down onto mine, her pussy coming into contact with my lower stomach. I threw my legs over her hips and pulled my body as close to hers as possible, our torsos completely aligned, with my gaze leveled directly with hers. My arms wrapped around her neck and my forehead dropped to her own. Bella's warmth from her body was seeping into my own and I smiled when her strong, lean arms wrapped around her waist, pulling my body into her heat.

"I love you", I whispered to Bella.

"I love you too Rosie" she replied, smirking at my reaction to the nickname she gave me. I couldn't stay mad at her so instead of replying I went to studying her beautiful face. Every part of her that she deemed as a flaw, just made her more perfect in my eyes such as the scar on her lower lip, the streaks of white in her hair that she hated but I adored and the slight husk that was always in her voice from where she was kicked in the throat and her vocal chords hadn't quite healed. I didn't care though, her voice almost always made me cream my pants. Bella closed her eyes and hummed in contentment. I put my head into the crook of her neck and wrapped myself around my mate, a quite purring coming from my chest.

BPOV

Cradling my mate in my arms, swaying back and forth to the beat of my heart, there was just a sense of serenity that I had never experienced before. The sounds of the forest surrounded us; the birds calling to one another, the wind rustling the leaves of trees. All of the woods beings were blurry to my senses. All I could feel was the soft and silky hair of my mate caressing my arms, feeling her running her fingers gently up and down my spine, her gently purring mirroring my quiet rumblings. Her very being was clouding my senses until I could only concentrate on her and her alone. So when I suddenly felt a vibration through my feet from the forest floor, my mind was instantly on alert, my senses working to figure out what potential threat could be moving swiftly towards myself and my mate. It was only when I heard loud growls and the snapping on teeth together that I began to worry. I was instantly on my feet, pushing clothes at my mate without worrying about my own, urging her to put them on before pulling her behind me ready to defend her to the death if I had to. These wolves had come back to finish what they had themselves started.

"Bella?" Rose whispered from behind me. I didn't respond verbally, only pulling her closer behind me until she was almost plastered against my back, peering around my shoulder.

"Ssh," I replied, wrapping one of her arms around my waist to hold her hand to distract myself from the trembling of her body. From the sounds of it the wolves had brought their whole pack meaning that we would be seriously outnumbered. Neither of us had brought a phone with us, and we were too far away from the Cullen's house for them to hear us. Making a snap decision, I decided to send my mate back to safety.

"Rose, sweetheart I need you to listen to me" I whispered, not waiting for a reply before continuing, "You need to go back to your house and alert your family that the wolves have breached your so called treaty and that they all need to get here asap". I could feel her nodding behind me before suddenly tensing.

"You're coming with me right?" Rose asked trembling. I slowly turned my head to make eye contact before shaking my head at her. Her face suddenly became determined and I could almost predict her next words.

"I'm not leaving without you!" She exclaimed in a harsh whisper, and if it weren't for the situation I would have chuckled at my predictions being correct.

"Very well" was all I said before I shifted into my wolf form, puffing out my chest to make myself seem even larger, with my hackles slightly raised and a continuous snarl leaking through my jaws. The wolves had stopped their running and were now stalking their way through the trees surrounding us. Their yellow eyes narrowed on the sight of myself and my mate standing strong against them instead of cowering like they wanted us to. The big black wolf, their alpha I assumed hadn't emerged from the trees yet, instead a young man came out wearing nothing but a pair of shorts.

"Cullen", the alpha snarled at my mate.

"Mutt", my Rose sneered back at him, curling her fingers in the fur at the scruff of my neck. I smirked as best I could in my wolf form, discovering that Rose was never one to back down. "What do you want mutt, you just broke the treaty".

The alpha looked me directly in the eyes before replying, "we are here for the wolf that came onto our lands", followed by the snarls and howls from his pack mates behind him. He looked at them and they all quietened down. Just as he was about to say something else, the rest of the Cullen family came into the clearing, evening up the numbers which from the sounds of the wolves reactions, they really didn't like that. I looked back at the Cullen's who had started to form a line either side of Rose and I, and huffed out a laugh. This was going to be good.

AN: HI! Okay so I'm so so so sorry for the wait! I don't even have an excuse really other than I just didn't know how I wanted to carry on the story. I'm kind of pleased with the chapter but I still feel that I haven't fully figured out where I want to take this story. I'm gradually creating chapters again so hopefully you'll see another update soon.
