This one takes place where the last left off, with Jade joining the conversation after talking with Paul.

"What are you two talking about?" Jade asks as she re-takes her seat beside Tori, giving the half-Latina a smile as she sits.
"Who Paul is and why you decided to sit so close to Tori." Cat says, unashamed to admit what they were talking about. "How come you never told me you had a gay roommate?" She asks, her attention mostly on Jade, while her eyes occasionally shift to Tori.
"You never asked about my roommate or anything, and I had to reason to bring him up. And why do you care about where I sit?" Jade counters, eyeing the redhead in front of her.
"Well, considering she's recently single, you like her, she likes you. I figure you're lying about not being a couple yet." Cat says, a smile on her face.
"We didn't lie about that. We're both single still." Tori says, chiming in as she checks on Blake. "It's too soon for me to date right now. Jade is aware, and is okay. We already told you this." She says, turning her attention back to Cat since Blake is still comfortably asleep.
"Don't wait too long." Cat says, causing Jade to turn her attention fully on Cat now. "What?" She asks when she sees the look on Jade's face.
"Nothing. You just sounded like Paul there for a minute." Jade says, shaking her head. "I'm getting hungry. Anyone want anything in particular?" She asks, changing the subject and looking at Tori.
"Not really." Tori says as Cat shakes her head. "Where's dad? Maybe when Blake wakes up we can all go out to Nozu." She suggests, looking at Blake quickly to check on him.
"Sure." "Sounds good." Cat and Jade say simultaneously. "I'll go get him. I need to use the rest room anyway." Cat says, standing up. "Talk amongst yourselves." She says with a sly smile as she heads away.
"She's still strange, huh?" Tori asks, staring at the direction Cat just went. "What did you mean, when you said she sounded like Paul?" She asks, turning her attention to Jade.
"When the break up happened, and I went to my apartment to get my keys, I told him. It came up quickly, and I told him. He was upset about not knowing, I'll explain later, and he told me that 'every opportunity has a shelf life'. He told me the same thing again when I was talking to him a moment ago." Jade says, glancing at Tori.
"Why did he say that?" Tori asks, glancing at Blake quickly when she feels him start to shift.
"He was talking about us. Me and you. He was telling me not to take too long." Jade says, keeping her attention elsewhere but Tori.
"Is little man awake yet?" Cat asks, walking into the room again, a knowing smile on her face.
"Getting there. Let me change him and we can go." Tori says, giving Jade a quick look that Jade misses.
"What was that about?" Cat asks, staring at Jade.
"Nothing. Where's Mr. Vega?" Jade asks, standing up.
"Grabbing his wallet and stuff. He says he's treating." Cat says, stepping in front of Jade. "What were you two talking about before I walked in?" She asks, preventing Jade from walking past her.
"None of your business, all right?" Jade says, starting to glare at Cat. "Now, can you move now? I want to grab my stuff." She says, going to nudge Cat out of the way.
"What stuff?" Cat asks, moving out of Jade's way. "Mr. Vega's paying." She says, confused.
"My jacket, Tori's, Blake's, and the diaper bag." Jade says, walking past Cat to grab the items.
"You're going to grab their jackets and the diaper bag?" Cat asks, stunned.
"Yes. I can be nice." Jade says, offended at the shock in Cat's voice.
"Ready girls?" Mr. Vega asks as he and Tori walk in, a smiling Blake in Tori's arms.
"Just about." Jade answers, walking past Cat to hand Tori her jacket and help put Blake in his.
"You're holding the diaper bag?" Mr. Vega asks. Jade would be mad at him for the question, but she lets it slide since he sounds curious, not shocked.
"Yep." Jade answers simply.
"Okay. Let's go." Mr. Vega says, holding the front door open for the three girls and his grandson.
Sorry it's a little short.
I hope everything is going well so far. I know I mentioned before that this would have between 25 and 30 chapters, but I'm thinking there will be more now. I don't know how much, though.
