Sorry for not updating yesterday. I didn't have a chance to get online to. The only computers I can use to upload were the library's, and they were closed for the Fourth of July yesterday.

Hello all. Again, thank you for the reviews, follows, and favorites. I appreciate them.

This chapter focus' on Tori and Jade talking to Sam, and takes place shortly after the last.

If anything doesn't match with a past chapter, let me know. I was confused about a few things from previous chapters and tried to fix the mistakes I made as I saw them, but I might've missed some.

Disclaimer: Mooncheese1331 owns Blake, and the original plot. Nickelodeon owns everything else.

No POV

On the ride home, Cat riding with Sam because of her 'scissor-me' comment, the group of 6 arrive at the Vega house, with Cat quickly running in calling out 'gotta pee gotta pee gotta pee' as she runs up the stairs.

"She still has the bladder of a squirrel." Jade comments as the others enter the house, David heading upstairs with Blake to put the infant to sleep in the spare room, which was converted into a nursery for whenever Tori and Blake visit.

"Yeah, she was like that on occasion when we babysat." Sam says, heading into the kitchen to grab a package of hard salami from the fridge and eating it as she enters the living room.

"How are you still hungry?" Jade asks, sitting down on the couch, dragging Tori with her.

"Because I am, West." Sam counters, sitting on the other couch. "Wow. Cat was right." She notes, staring at the two girls. "You two really do give each other fuck-me eyes, or in this case, scissor-me eyes." She says, laughing when Tori blushes.

"Shut up!" Tori whines, hiding her head in Jade's shoulder.

"So, let me ask you this." Sam says, stifling her laughter. "If the two of you like each other so much, and you're both single, why not date?" She asks, somewhat serious.

"It's too soon." Jade says, looking at the blonde. "She just got out of a bad relationship barely two weeks ago or so, and I really don't want to push her into another before she's ready." Jade answers, tone serious. "And before you ask anything about the break-up, the bitch cheated on Tori with like, two different women or something, and didn't even try to defend herself." She says, summing up the break-up, in a way.

"How exactly did you get involved?" Sam asks, leaning against the back of the couch as her head is aimed at Tori and Jade, the hard salami forgotten on the table.

"She bumped into me about a month or so ago. Almost literally." Tori says, laughing lightly with the last comment. "Since then, we've started to reconnect. After something Jade said pissed me off, I kicked her out, and fumed about it for a while. After that, because of something of Lila's that I found, I called her, asked her to come over, didn't really apologize for earlier since it was kinda her fault, and she accepted." She finished, looking at the two girls. "Not too long after, Jade say my now ex with a girl at some library-slash-coffee shop, the two girls being awfully close. Jade called my ex out, and later in the day, we broke up. Jade was there for me, throughout everything, and here we are." She says, leaving some stuff out, something Sam catches but decides against calling her out on, and leans back.

"Okay. Question for both of you." Sam says, eyes drifting to the hallway where her ex-roommate and Mr. Vega disappeared to, not surprised Cat still isn't back. "How long have the two of you liked each other? I mean, when did you like Jade,? She asks Tori, before turning to Jade, "and you like Tori?"

"I've liked Tori since high school. It never really worked, or so I thought, because when I met her, I got mad at her for rubbing my then boyfriend, and then poured coffee on her. After that, we never really got along. But when she refused to kiss Beck before the Platinum Music Awards, and it was because she couldn't do that to me, regardless of how I treated her before, I saw her as a friend, even though I never showed it. Between that and when Sikowitz put us in some stupid 'yes' challenge, I got a crush on her, and started liking her more than I thought." Jade says, eyes on Tori, with the occasional glance at Sam.

"And you?" Sam asks Tori after a few moments of silence.

"Since the coffee day." Tori admits, much to the surprise of Jade. "I won't say it was love at first sight, but I did develop a crush on you that day. The coffee didn't do too much against it, especially after I learned how much you love coffee." She says, smirking.

"Wait, what do you mean?" Sam asks, confused by Tori's last statement.

"Jade loves coffee. The taste. The smell. Everything about it. Since then, I saw the coffee incident as a way of Jade liking me, by reminding her of something she loves." Tori says, blushing slightly.

"Wait, I pour coffee on you because you spilt some on Beck, and because I love coffee, you saw that as a good thing when I poured some on you? Because you smelt like it that day?" Jade asks, confused as well.

"Yes." Tori says, looking away.

"You're more sappy than a Canadian syrup factory." Jade says, rolling her eyes.

"I don't get it." The three girls hear from behind them. When they turn, they see Cat standing there, the confused look she so-often had in high school back on her face.

"Tree sap is used to make maple syrup. Canada is known for syrup, and a few other things. So, Vega is sappier than a syrup factory. Meaning, she's incredibly sappy." Jade says, ignoring that slap to the arm from Tori.

"I am not sappy!" Tori says, trying to defend herself.

"You said you saw me pouring coffee on you as a good thing, not me trying to humiliate you." Jade says, laughing when Tori again blushes.

"Okay. I'm gonna go back to...not eavesdropping on your conversation." Cat says, clearly hiding behind the steps that lead upstairs.

"Anyway." Sam says, rolling her eyes, as she turns her attention from Cat's 'hiding' spot to the two girls on the opposite couch. "Let me ask you something." She continues, as if Cat was never there. "How long are you willing to wait for the other?" She asks seriously. "And don't say as long as it takes. It sounds like a cop out answer." She says, knowing what one or both wanted to say.

"I don't know." Tori says, leaning against the back of the couch. "I don't know how long it'll take for me to be okay with dating again, and I don't know if I can completely forget the past. Just because I love her, doesn't mean I should date her. I still haven't completely forgiven her for joking about me being knocked up." She says, standing up.

"Where are you going?" Jade asks, standing up as well, ignoring the curious looks from Cat and Sam.

"I'm going to check on Blake. I'll be back." Tori says, quickly walking away.

"Okay, tell us about the 'joke'." Cat demands as she enters the living room, sitting down beside Sam.

"She made a joke about me liking juice boxes, and not thinking, I made a joke about her being pristine and getting pregnant. She threw me out after that, thinking I was being insensitive about the assault." Jade says, sitting down where she was before. "I regretted it the moment I realized what I said, but it was too late. When she called me because she found Lila's extra phone, and though I was surprised she called me since what I stupidly said, I rushed over."

The two girls, three if you count Cat 'hiding' by the stairwell, face each other as Jade retakes her seat. After nearly fifteen minutes of silence, a little over ten ago Cat sitting beside Jade, Tori finally returns and sits beside Jade, but a few inches away from Jade.

"I'm sorry." Jade says after a few minutes of uncomfortable silence. "I am so sorry about what I said, and if I could take it back before I said it, I gladly would." She says, locking eyes with the half-Latina.

"I shouldn't have kicked you out." Tori says, the other two girls completely forgotten.

"No, what I said was insensitive. Kicking me out was the least of what you should've done." Jade counters, shifting so her body is facing Tori's.

"I shouldn't have said it though. It's a sensitive subject, and I know you didn't mean it the way you did." Tori says, shifting to mirror Jade's.

The two girls continue to talk amongst themselves as the ex-roommates silently sneak out, heading upstairs. Near an hour later, David, Sam, and Cat make their return to the living room, Blake in David's arms, slowly waking up in his grandfather's arms, stopping when they see Tori and Jade holding each other on the couch, hints of tears running down their cheeks.

Hope everyone enjoyed this chapter, and please review.
