Tori POV

Since we got back from visiting my dad, I've been busy moving my stuff out of the apartment I shared with Lila and moving my stuff and Blake's in with Jade. If you're wondering about Paul, he moved out to give us space. He moved into an adjacent room with his boyfriend, the both of them, Jade as well, helping move my stuff in with Jade.

Blake and I were given Paul's old room, with the hall closet having some stuff moved around for Blake's toys and diaper bag, the rest of his stuff in with me.

I couldn't help but laugh when I first started bringing my bed frame in, with Paul's help, because he asked why I needed it if I was sleeping with Jade.

I blushed at the time though, but laughed it off when I realized he was just joking, knowing I wanted to take it slow.

It's been a few days since I officially moved in with Jade, and the other apartment is up for sale. I talked to Lila's parents, who were surprisingly supportive of me selling the apartment, though it's their's technically, and insisting I keep the money for it to help with Blake. When I asked them why there were seemingly on my side, allowing me to sell their apartment and keep the money, they said I need the money more than them, and because they knew how much Lila meant to me and how I saw her as Blake's second mother, and they wanted me to know that they're sorry their daughter wasn't as faithful as I needed.

Tomorrow is the date Jade asked me on, and though we live together, she hasn't seemed to notice how tense I've been.

Jade's at work now, she started working at S. Drew Records, as a paid intern for Simone, or Bee as she insists we call her. I got home not too long ago from class and picking up Blake, deciding to start dinner since Jade texted and said she'll be a bit late.

An hour and a half later, Jade walks in, as I grab two glasses and a bottle for Blake from the drainer, the chicken alfredo I made sitting on the stove, cooling.

"Hey, how was working for Bee?" I ask, giving her a hug as she closes the door behind her and locks it.

"Not that bad actually." She says, taking her jacket off and hanging it up on the hook by the door.

"Momma Jay!" Blake squeals when he sees her.

"Hey buddy." Jade says, picking him up and kissing his forehead. "What's momma Tori making for dinner?" She asks, playing with Blake as she follows me to the kitchen.

"Chicken alfredo." I answer, watching as she puts Blake in his high chair.

"Ooh, fancy." Jade says, making sure the tray of the high chair is in properly.

"Not really. I just heated up the chicken from last night and the alfredo was bought from the grocery store earlier." Tori says, taking out two plates and setting them down on the table, grabbing the dish from the stove and setting it in the middle.

"Left overs." Jade says, taking the spoon from Tori to make the helpings of chicken alfredo for her and Tori. "What about Blake?" She asks, handing Tori her plate.

"He already ate. He was hungry while I heated up the chicken and noodles." Tori says, setting a napkin in front of Jade with her fork. "What do you want to drink?" She asks, standing up to get the drinks.

"Water." Jade says, taking a bite of the slightly cooled chicken alfredo.

Over the next hour, the two eat and make small talk, occasionally playing with Blake and cleaning up the mess he makes with his bottle. After they were done eating, Jade put the plates, forks, serving spoon, and cups in the sink to rinse them out to be washed later, while Tori puts the rest of the chicken alfredo in the fridge after covering it with aluminum foil.

As Tori gives Blake a bath, Jade changes to her pajamas and wipes her make up off. After Tori puts Blake to bed, she walks into Jade's room after knocking.

"Night Jade." Tori says, her pajamas draped over her shoulder.

"Night." Jade says with a smile. "I won't be able to come home until just before I pick you up for our date tomorrow. Be ready by 7:30, and wear a fancy dress. Not like when we went to Maestro's." She jokes.

"Shut up." Tori says with a laugh. "We'll need to drop Blake off at Kelly's on the way." Tori says, pushing off the door frame to turn around.

"Who's Kelly?" Jade asks, a hint of jealousy in her voice.

"She babysits Blake for me on occasion. She runs the day care center not too far from here." Tori says, turning to face Jade. "Relax. She's happily married and straight."

"Oh. Whatever. Night. Bee wants me to get there a bit early tomorrow." Jade says, hiding the small blush.

A few minutes later, Tori enters her room after changing in the bathroom and wiping off her make up. Withing a half hour, both girls are laying in their beds, asleep.

The next morning, both girls wake to the same thing, Blake crying in his crib. With Tori being the closest, she starts to change him and get him dressed for the day. As she's changing the diaper, Jade walks in, checking on him. With Tori's assurance that he's fine, Jade goes to the bathroom to pee and brush her teeth before heading to her room to get dressed.

As she's changing, Tori knocks on her door to tell her Blake's asleep and she's using the bathroom, asking the pale woman to watch Blake as she gets ready. With Jade's okay, TOri heads to the bathroom as Jade heads into Tori's room to get Blake and take him to the dining room, where an extra crib was placed, to keep an eye on him as she starts breakfast.

Within ten minutes, Tori enters the kitchen, wide awake as if she didn't wake up abruptly, as opposed to Jade who looks like she's asleep where she stands.

"Morning zombie." Tori jokes, heading to the fridge to collect Blake's formula and some orange juice for her, as Jade watches the coffee pot.

"Hmm." Jade groans, reminding Tori of the zombies in the movies Jade makes her watch, causing the half-Latina to laugh lightly at the comparison. "Was so funny?" Jade mumbles, eyes never leaving the coffee pot.

"You look and sound like a zombie from those movies you used to make us watch all the time in high school." Tori says, pouring a glass of orange juice. "Did you not get any sleep last night?" She asks, her tone changing from joking to curious.

"Not much." Jade says, smiling when the coffee pot is finally filled with coffee. "Bee asked me to pick a screenplay I wrote to send to a director, and I stayed up all night trying to find one. I finally decided on the one from school that you helped me with." She says, grabbing a coffee cup and filling it to the brim with coffee, adding two spoonfuls of sugar and stirring, being careful not to spill a drop.

"Any of them would have been fine." Tori says, helping Jade with the plate of eggs she made as Jade goes back to check on the toast, sausage, and bacon. "You're the best script writer I've ever known." She says as she heads back into the kitchen to talk to Jade, keeping her eye on Blake.

"Only script writing?" Jade asks, sounding more awake, and much less zombie-like, now that she's had some coffee.

"Well, André is the best song writer I know. Scripts are your thing." Tori says, shrugging her shoulders.

With a matching shrug of her shoulders, Jade finishes the sausage and bacon. "Remember, 7:30, be ready for a fancy date." She says, turning the stove off as she puts the sausage and bacon on a plate as she grabs the plate with the toast and hands it to Tori.

"I would've grabbed your coffee for you." Tori says as she follows Jade to the dining area.

"Not even you can touch my coffee. Beck tried it once, and he talked in soprano for a week." Jade says, grabbing the plates and silverware.

"I don't remember that happening?" Tori says, grabbing two things of toast and some eggs as Jade grabs some eggs and sausage.

"It happened a little over a month before you joined. I'm surprised Trina didn't say anything about it at home." Jade says, grabbing some toast and a few strips of bacon. "She tried to hurt me because of it, but backed off when I started to swing my scissors."

"Oh yeah." Tori says, her plate now with sausage, setting her silverware down. "She came home from school close to tears, eyes wide with fear."

"Yep. That was actually one of the moments I thought about when I asked Sikowitz if it counted if we caused true terror before when we found out your dumbass ex Steven cheated on you." Jade says, taking a bite of sausage.

The two make small talk as they eat, with Tori's mainly trying to find out what all Jade's planning for the date, with no success.

As Jade takes the plates and cups into the kitchen to let them soak before washing, Tori heads to the crib to play with Blake, who woke up while they were eating and started crying, stopping when Tori picked him up.

"I gotta go. Bee asked me to be in a little early. Didn't say why." Jade says as she kisses Blake's' forehead. "Remember, 7:30. No later." Jade says, giving Tori a peck on the cheek.

"I know. I won't forget." Tori says, blushing from the peck.

Throughout the day, both Tori and Jade do their work, Jade helping Bee while Tori works on her schoolwork, while thinking about the date that night. Whereas Jade is thinking about where to take Tori, Maestros for dinner is all she has guaranteed thing so far with a few options for after, Tori is trying to figure out what Jade could possibly have planned.

At 6:30 that afternoon, Tori gets home after finishing her classes and a quick vocal class, and a piano class after. Taking a shower while Blake is taking a nap while she waits for the babysitter to get there at 7. Getting out of the shower just before 7, dried and dressed, she Tori heads into the living room with her make up case to finish get ready while she waits, her son in the crib set up by the couch.

Shortly after 7, there's a knock at the door. When Tori opens it, she smiles when she sees Kelly.

"Hey. Thanks for coming with relative short notice." Tori says, opening the door for Kelly to enter.

"No problem." Kelly says with a smile. "Where's Blake?" She asks, looking around.

"Napping in the crib for now. He's good for now, he'll just need some formula when he wakes up. There are three bottles in the fridge. You know what to do." Tori says, sounding nervous.

"You okay?" Kelly asks, following Tori to the living room where Blake is asleep.

"Sorry. First date with someone I've liked for a while. Kinda nervous." Tori admits, picking up her napping son carefully not wanting to wake him up.

"Do I want to know about why Lila hasn't been to see Blake in while?" Kelly asks, sitting down beside Tori. cautious as she does.

"We broke up over a month ago when I discovered she cheated on me." Tori admits slowly. "Since then, I haven't seen her."

"Sorry. I know how much you liked her." Kelly says quietly, looking away from Tori.

"It's okay. That's in the past." Tori says, shaking her head a bit. "It's been a little over a month, and I'm going on a date." She says, smiling.

The two women sit in slightly uncomfortable silence, they make small talk until just before 7:30, when Tori stands up to head downstairs, bidding Kelly farewell as she heads to wait for Jade downstairs.

A few minutes later, Jade pulls up, a smirk on her face at Tori's attire. Dressed in a similar dress to what she wore for Trina's 'birthweek' a few years ago, with a few differences. One, it's longer than the other dress. Since the assault, she got into wearing her dresses, skirts, and shorts longer. The back is covered as well, no skin showing except just below the neck. The other difference is the color. Instead of being zebra-striped, it was solid purple, like Jade's dress during the ping-pong 'tournament', just not sparkly.

"Damn." Jade says as Tori enters her car.

"You haven't changed yet?" Tori asks, staring at Jade.

"I have to drop something off for Bee, and I'm changing at her house." Jade answers, pulling away.

I know I said this would focus on the date, but I decided to save the date for the next chapter.

Thank you for reading, and I look forward to your reviews.
