HEY! new chapter! it's not very good but it's better then nothing :D

"Magnus?"
Magnus turned let go of the door handle and turned around, he heard the door shut behind him.
"Alec?" He asked, looking at the pale boy on the bed.
"Yeah" Alec said, his voice barely a whisper and very croaky.
Magnus rushed over to the side of Alec's bed, "Alec, hey, how are you feeling?" He asked.
"Not so good" Alec mumbled,
"Does anywhere hurt?" Magnus asked.
"Yeah" Alec said, his eyes slipping shut a little.
"Hey, hey, hey" Magnus said, "stay awake, come on Alec stay awake."
Alec's eyes opened a little and Magnus sighed in relief.
"Where does it hurt?" Magnus asked.
"Everywhere is sore" Alec said.
"Where does it hurt the most?" Magnus asked.
"My head hurts" Alec said, "I might've hit it or something."
"Does anywhere else hurt?" Magnus asked, brushing a strand of Alec's black hair out of his face.
"My arms" Alec mumbled, Magnus watched as Alec looked down at his arms and he saw the boys blue eyes widen.
"Alec" Magnus started.
"What are these things doing in my arms?" Alec asked, looking up at Magnus his blue eyes were wide and frantic, he looked more awake, "They're not meant to be there, I'm meant to be dead!"
"Alec, they saved your life" Magnus said.
"Where am I?" Alec asked.
"The hospital" Magnus said, "didn't Max or Jeffery tell you when you woke up when they were in here."
"Max and Jeffery were never in here" Alec whispered, "I only just woke up."
Magnus looked at the boy, "oh… so Max and Jeffery lied to me."
"Seems like they did lie to you," Alec said, "Now help me get these things out of my arms."
"No" Magnus said, "They saved your life. They're still saving your life!" Magnus told him, "you could die if you take them out Alec" Magnus said, "They're transferring blood into you or something."
"Oh" Alec said, reaching for one of the tubes, "I don't want them in, get them out! I want to die!"
"Alec! No!" Magnus yelled, grabbing Alec's hand and pulling it back, "No" he said softly, "I don't want you to die."
"Who cares what you want!" Alec yelled, "I want to die, just let me."
"Alec" Magnus said, softly holding the boys hands in place, "you don't want to die, you're only saying that."
"Just let me die, Magnus" Alec said as he tried pulling his hands out from Magnus's grip.
"No" Magnus said, he felt something on the top of Alec's left hand. Magnus looked down at Alec's left hand and saw there was a bandage on it.
What happened there? Magnus thought.
"I bit into the skin so hard, it broke the skin" Alec said softly, it was like he could read Magnus's mind, "I hurt my other hand as well" Alec told him, "but I dug my nails into the skin instead of biting it."
"Alec, why did you do that?" Magnus asked, "Why did you do all of this?" he asked gesturing to Alec's arms.
"Because I just want to die" Alec whispered.
"Alexander" Magnus said he was about to say something else but a nurse walked in.
"Oh" she said, "you're awake."
"I don't want to be" Magnus heard Alec mutter under his breath.
"I'll go get the Doctor" the nurse said.
"Doctor who?" Magnus asked, but he couldn't even muster up a smile to go along with his lame joke.
"Dr Herondale" The nurse said, "I thought you already met him."
The nurse left and Magnus turned his attention back to Alec, "Dr Herondale is coming to see you, probably to check up on you."
"I'm fine" Alec mumbled.
"You're not" Magnus said, "and can we please just stop arguing about it all?"
"Fine" Alec said, "But I am fine."
Magnus sighed as Doctor Herondale walked in, "Hello Alexander, Glad to see that you're awake."
"I'm not that Glad" Magnus heard Alec mumble.
Dr Herondale sat down in the chair next to Magnus, "So Alexander."
"It's Alec" Alec said.
"So Alec" Dr Herondale said, "Care to tell me how you got those cuts?" Dr Herondale gestured towards Alec's arms.
"No" Alec mumbled.
"Alright, how do you feel?" Dr Herondale asked.
"Fine" Alec said, "Can I go, I don't like hospitals."
"Why don't you like hospitals?" Dr Herondale asked.
"My parents died in one" Alec asked, "which hospital is this one?"
"Saint Raziel's hospital" Dr Herondale said.
Magnus saw Alec pale, well even more. "Great" Alec mumbled.
"What's wrong?" Magnus asked.
"This hospital is where me and my parents were taken after the crash" Alec mumbled.
"Oh" Magnus said.
"It doesn't matter" Alec muttered, "Can I just go."
"Alec," Dr Herondale said, "you need to stay here over night, you can go home in the morning."
"Do I have to?" Alec asked.
Dr Herondale nodded, "yes, you can have a member of your family stay with you overnight."
"I'll stay with him" Magnus said. Alec started to protest but Magnus quickly shushed the boy and smiled at Dr Herondale.
"Good" Dr Herondale said, "I'll ask a nurse to bring in a spare bed and I'll tell your family about it all."
"Don't tell them about the cuts" Alec mumbled, "I don't want them to know."
"Okay" Dr Herondale said and walked out.
When the door closed Alec turned to Magnus and glared at him, "I'm not talking to you" Alec said, turning away, "I'm not talking to anyone."
"Why not?" Magnus asked, knowing that Alec wouldn't respond.
The door opened and everyone in their family rushed into the room and Magnus saw Alec fold his arms over his chest, hiding his wrists and his cuts.
"Alec" Isabelle said, "I'm so glad you're awake, do you know how worried I was?" she asked, "How's your head? Does it hurt? Are you allowed to come home?" Isabelle kept firing question after question but Alec didn't respond to one.
"Isabelle stop" Jace said, walking over to Alec's side, "How are you feeling?"
Magnus sighed, "Don't bother trying to talk to him he said that he wasn't talking to anyone."
"Oh" Jace said, "you know the silent treatment isn't cool, we didn't do anything so you should talk to us, you're the one who hit your head."
Alec looked down at the white sheets and pretended like he didn't hear Jace.
"Allie" Max said, walking up and standing next to Jace, "I thought that the cuts on your arms made you come in here I didn't know you hit your head."
"What cuts" Vicky and Isabelle said at the same time.
Alec looked up quickly then quickly looked back down.
"Alec what cuts?" Isabelle asked walking up to her brother and sitting on the bed, "What cuts?" she asked again, reaching for her brothers arms.
She grabbed his arms but Alec quickly pulled away breaking Isabelle's grip.
"Alec" Isabelle said, "What cuts?"
"It's nothing Isabelle" Alec mumbled, "Max was probably just seeing things, now go away."
"Alec" Isabelle said softly.
"Just go away" Alec said, "All of you go away."
"Come on kids" Vicky said, "Alec wants to be left alone."
"Who's staying here with Alec overnight?" Jace asked.
"I am" Magnus said.
"Okay" Jace said, "Don't upset him anymore."
"I won't" Magnus said.
Isabelle sighed and got off the bed. Magnus watched as his parents and Alec's siblings walked out the door.
"Can you go with them?" Alec asked, not looking at Magnus.
"I thought you weren't talking to me" Magnus said, poking Alec's cheek softly.
Alec shrugged away from Magnus, "I'm still not talking to you" Alec said, "I just want you to go away."
"Well I'm not going anywhere" Magnus said, "so deal with it."
Alec sighed and looked away.
The door to the room opened and Dr Herondale pushed in a bed, "here you go, Magnus this is your bed for tonight, it's not the most comfortable thing but it's good enough."
"Thanks" Magnus said, pulling the bed towards him.
"No problem, now you have the remote to the TV and if you need anything you can just press that button and a nurse will come in and give you whatever you need" Dr Herondale said.
"Thanks" Magnus said again, "on your way out can you turn off the light."
"Okay" Dr Herondale said, "See you in the morning."
Magnus nodded and watched as Dr Herondale walked out of the room, flicking off the light and shutting the door. Magnus got up and moved the chair he was sitting into the corner of the room and pushed his bed up next to Alec's in the dim light.
"What are you doing?" Alec asked.
"You're not talking to me remember" Magnus said climbing up onto the bed and getting comfortable, "Hand me the remote please, I want to see if anything interesting is on."
"Why are you pretending like we didn't just have a fight?" Alec asked, handing Magnus the remote.
"Because I don't want to fight" Magnus said flicking on the television and flicking through the channels, "And even though I want to talk about it, I know you don't want to."
"Maybe I want to talk about" Alec mumbled quietly.
Magnus turned to Alec, "well then talk about it."
"No!" Alec said.
"You just said you wanted to talk about it" Magnus said.
"I said I maybe wanted to talk about it" Alec said.
Magnus sighed and laid down on the bed, "Okay then don't talk about it," Magnus flicked onto a channel and decided that it was tolerable enough to watch. Magnus could here Alec moving round in his bed after a few minutes of watching the TV he turned and looked at Alec.
Alec was moving around, he looked like he was trying to get comfortable.
"Are you okay?" Magnus asked.
"No" Alec mumbled, "Its uncomfortable the tube things are annoying."
"I'm not letting you take them out" Magnus said.
"Fine then" Alec mumbled, shifting around in his bed.
"Move over" Magnus said to Alec.
Alec gave him a confused look and moved over to the edge of his bed pressed up against the railing. Magnus climbed over the railings of their beds and sat down in Alec's bed, next to Alec.
"What are you doing?" Alec asked as Magnus laid down in the bed.
"Lay down on me" Magnus said, pulling Alec down onto him, "I'm your human pillow remember."
Alec slowly laid down on Magnus, making sure he doesn't get tangled up with the tubes.
"Why are you being so nice to me Magnus?" Alec asked, his voice barely a whisper, "I tried to kill myself, I yelled at you for helping me, I'm messed up Magnus."
"Alec" Magnus said, wrapping his arms around the boy making sure he doesn't move the tubes, "I don't want you to die and it's fine that you yelled at me for trying to help you."
Magnus could feel something soaking through his shirt and he looked down and saw that Alec was crying.
"Hey" Magnus said softly, "stop crying, it's okay you'll be okay."
"I'm sorry" Alec whispered, "I'm really, really sorry."
"It's okay" Magnus said again, "Just calm down."
"I'm sorry" Alec mumbled.
Magnus looked towards the clock in the room and saw that it was ten in the evening.
"It's late" Magnus said, turning the TV off "close your eyes and go to sleep, we can talk about it in the morning if you want to."
Alec nodded and shut his eyes.
"Goodnight, Alec" Magnus whispered, kissing the top of Alec's head.
"Night" Alec mumbled, into Magnus's chest.
