Alec's POV
Alec opened his eyes, but quickly shut them because of the bright, white light that hurt his eyes. He moaned and rolled over into snuggling into the warmth that was around him.
Wait… Alec thought. He slowly opened his eyes and saw Magnus's sleeping form beside him.
The memories from last night came rushing back to Alec and he quickly pushed away from Magnus at sat up, making Magnus wake up.
"Alec" Magnus said, sitting up and rubbing his eyes, "What's wrong."
There are so many things wrong with him, the little voice said while laughing a little.
"N-nothing" Alec lied, "nothing's wrong."
"Alec" Magnus started but the hospital room's door opened.
"Are you two are awake" Dr Herondale said, smiling, "You're family's here by the way."
"Can I go?" Alec asked.
"In a few minutes, I need to check up on you and take the needles out" Dr Herondale said.
Alec nodded and watched as Magnus moved onto the other bed.
Alec watched as Dr Herondale carefully took the tubes out of his arms and wrapped bandages around his arms. Alec could see Magnus watching from the other bed.
"Okay" Dr Herondale said, "How about you get changed into your clothes and you can go home."
"Where are my clothes?" Alec asked.
"On the table there" Dr Herondale said, "don't worry they've been washed."
Alec nodded.
"I'm just gonna go" Dr Herondale said, "Magnus will walk you back."
Alec nodded again and Dr Herondale walked out.
Alec got off the bed and walked over to his clothes, he turned around to Magnus.
"What?" Magnus asked.
"Can you turn around?" Alec asked, "I would like some privacy."
"Oh" Magnus said, "Oh sure, I get it sorry."
Alec watched as Magnus turned around and once he was sure Magnus wasn't looking his stripped and pulled on his clothes.
"Are you done yet?" Magnus asked, "Because the wall is pretty boring, I'd like to look at you, you're much cuter than the wall."
Alec felt the heat climb up his cheeks.
Nobody wants to look at you, the little voice said, you're disgusting.
Alec dropped his head, "yeah" he mumbled, "I'm done."
"Good!" Magnus said, turning around and jumping off the bed.
Alec nodded and kept his eyes trained on the tiled floor. He hated hospital especially this one, he didn't remember much of it but he didn't remember the poking, the prodding, the pain and the tears.
"Alec" Magnus said, walking over to him, "are you okay?"
Alec looked up and nodded, "yeah I'm fine" he lied, "completely fine."
"Alec I think I know that you aren't fine" Magnus said, "I think fine is your word for not fine."
"Can we just go?" Alec asked, crossing his arms over his chest, "I don't like this place."
"Alright" Magnus said, taking Alec's hand.
Alec felt his heart beat faster and he looked down at the ground and told himself to stop being so silly.
You do know that Magnus can probably feel the marks that were made by your teeth, the little voice said.
"Hey" Magnus said softly, "Come on, we'll go."
Alec nodded and griped onto Magnus's hand tighter. The two of the walked out of the door and walked down the halls of the hospital to the waiting room.
Alec saw his sister first, she looked terrible. She was wearing yesterday's clothes, her hair was a mess and looked like she didn't sleep at all last night.
"Alec!" Isabelle yelled, rushing over to him and pulling him into a hug making him break his grip on Magnus's hand, "I was so worried are you okay? How did you sleep? How's your head?"
Isabelle's question asking was making his head hurt a little, "I'm fine, Iz" he placed a hand on his sisters shoulder, "but your question asking is making my head want to explode."
"Sorry" Isabelle said, "I'm just worried."
"It's okay" Alec said, he tried to manage a smile but he couldn't get the corners of his mouth to turn up.
"How about we go home" Vicky said, smiling.
"Yeah, let's go bro" Jace said, coming over and wrapping his arms around Alec's shoulders, "this place sucks."
Alec nodded his head in agreement.
The six of them walked out of the hospital and towards the car parked in the parking lot.
"Alright" Vicky said, "Alec you can sit in the front."
"No I'm fine with sitting in the back with Jace" Alec said.
"No come sit in the front I'm sit in the back with Isabelle and Max while Magnus sits with Jace in the back, back" Vicky said.
Alec nodded, "fine."
Alec walked around to the front of the car and opened the side door and got in, buckling himself up with the seat belt. He saw that the window and the door was washed, there was no blood from his hands on it all.
Jeffery slid into the driver's seat.
"Ready to go?" Jeffery asked everyone, there was a chorus of yeses (excluding Alec) and Jeffery started the car and they drove off home.
There was little talk on the way home, Alec just stared outside the window the whole time and ignored everyone. The car pulled up in the drive way and everyone got out. Alec trailed behind everyone into the house.
"Alec" Vicky said, "how about you go have a shower, Jeffery and I will start on breakfast."
Alec nodded and walked up stairs he heard someone follow him up but he ignored whoever it was. He walked into his room and went over to his dresser he pulled open a drawer and started to look through it for clean clothes.
"Hey Alec" Magnus said from behind him, "can I sleep with you tonight?" he asked, "we'll just sleep."
"Why?" Alec asked, turning around with some clean clothes in his hands.
"Well it'll be like a sleepover and we can talk about stuff and do stuff" Magnus said smiling.
Alec already knew why Magnus wanted to have a stupid "sleepover" He wasn't dumb.
"You want to make sure I don't try to kill myself, again" Alec said.
Magnus was silent for a moment but then he nodded, slowly. "You're right" Magnus said, "I'm worried, I care about you Alec, I care so much and I don't want you doing anything like that again."
Alec stayed quiet and looked down at the floor. He cares about me, he thought, the thought made his heart stutter, he actually cares.
No he doesn't, the little voice said, I've said it time and time again no one cares about you.
"Alec" Magnus said, walking over to him and placing a hand on his shoulder, "I'm sleeping in your room tonight, I'll sleep on the floor so I don't make you uncomfortable and stuff."
Alec looked up at Magnus and nodded, "okay, fine."
Magnus smiled, "go have a shower and come find everyone when you're done, we'll probably be having some breakfast."
Alec nodded and pushed past Magnus. He walked down the hall and down the steps to the bathroom. He opened the door to the bathroom and stepped inside shutting the door behind him and locking it. He turned the taps on in the shower and waited for the water to heat up, he stripped, taking the bandages off as well, and stepped under the hot spray, he went through the motions of cleaning himself. After about ten or fifteen minutes he reached over and turned off the taps, shutting the water off. He stepped out of the shower and grabbed a towel which he used to dry himself off.
Alec pulled on his underwear. He turned to grab his pants and he saw himself in the mirror and quickly looked away and grabbed his pants. He looked disgusting, he looked too pale and he could see the cuts that lined his arms. He quickly put the bandages back on and pulled his sweater over his head and walked out of the bathroom.
He walked down the halls to the kitchen, he was about to walk into the kitchen but he heard Vicky and Jeffery's voices.
"I don't know what to do!" Vicky said, "He's got so many problems and he doesn't know want any help."
"Vicky, he'll be okay we'll get him help even if he doesn't want it we'll get him help" Jeffery said.
Alec knew that they were talking about him.
"Maybe we should go back to the orphanage" Vicky said.
Alec sucked in a sharp breath and quickly walked away. They were going to send him back! He ran into his room and shut the door he saw Magnus on the bed but he was too busy freaking out. He sat down on the on floor beside his door. They were going to send him back to that hell hole!
He could hear someone calling out his name and he could feel someone wrap their arms around him, it was Magnus.
"They're going to send me back" Alec whispered, into the Magnus's chest, "they're going to send me back."
