Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto or any other game, manga or comic book that I may take inspiration from at one point or another. One more before I get on with the chapter is that some people have mentioned about me overusing the abusive villager thing, I've just set it up slightly worse than canon he still hasn't been beaten but has been ignored and chased on his birthday. The only reason it's really come to the fore here is due to Naruto's increased intelligence so he knows that ignoring it won't make it go away that's all I'm not gonna have the council trying to get him executed or anything so don't worry. I'm aware that the Obito thing is confusing and some people have mentioned him finding out about the kyuubi but everything will be explained in time I'm not forgetting about what I've written and plan to continue this story for a long time.

It had been a few days since Naruto had battled with the Scarecrows and he honestly never felt better, now being level six he was stronger than ever. He'd found out that he could grind the levels of his skills, he'd managed to increase his 'Power Strike' skill and the 'Chakra formation' skill to level three. He noticed that he didn't gain nearly as much ExP for the skills from grinding against training dummies rather than actual enemies and his Kazekami no nagare hadn't even gained any experience from the dummies. He had been tempted to go looking for a dungeon to train in. He'd decided against it seeing as he would have no idea what he would encounter in the dungeons.
One option was to revisit the older ones but he hadn't really had the time to find them. Kakashi had taken the team's training pretty seriously and as such Naruto's stats had taken another small increase though only in stamina through Kakashi's conditioning and control by having learned the water walking exercise. The rest of his stats had remained the same. His level had also remained stuck at six, he hadn't fought anyone or thing to give him experience and whatever it was that had given him this power apparently didn't believe the D-rank missions his team had been taking to be good enough to count as quests.
He'd taken the midnight cloth he had earned rom defeating the smaller scarecrows and Ryu had told Naruto the cloth was reasonably high grade material and seemed to absorb light slightly. Naruto had thought about asking for something to be made from the cloth but he figured that the cloth could be used in conjunction with other materials. He hoped he could get some decent chest armour and some equipment for his legs crafted from whatever he found.
He'd finally gotten some free time and had decided to make his way to the first dungeon he'd encountered. He was a bit nervous to face the T-Rexaur again but with his new skills and stats he was fairly confidant to face the giant lizard.
He was just about to leave the village and head for the small clearing the dungeon was located in when Kakashi appeared in front of him, he'd been dismissed for his own personal training about two hours ago. Naruto had immediately gone to Ichiraku's after training to fill up on some decent food. He'd managed to increase his cooking skill to level 3 as well but the food was still coming out slightly burnt and or sloppy. He had just finished sitting and chatting with the noodle serving family before he had set off to train.
"Yo, Naruto I was thinking we could go get you that jutsu you have been asking about, I'm assuming you've finally decided on something that you'd like?" Naruto nodded quickly all grievances against Kakashi quickly forgotten in the hopes of getting a new jutsu. "Good well let's get going then, we need to go to the Hokage tower in order to access any jutsu above C-rank. " Kakashi placed his hand on the boy's shoulder and they disappeared in a swirl of leaves.
"Uh sensei can we ever not travel like that, it still makes my stomach churn when you do stuff like that." Kakashi just chuckled as they walked through the front door of the Hokage tower they turned round a corner Naruto had never been down before. They were currently stood in front of a long corridor which had a large metal circular door at the end. "Sensei is you sure we're in the right place this looks like we are going to the village prison."
Again Kakashi chuckled. "No Naruto we are in the right place this is the Jutsu vault of the Hidden Leaf and needs to be guarded pretty tightly. There's enough jutsu in there to make a small village in to one of the five great nations with ease. Oh and the prisoners are kept in the ANBU headquarters. Now let's go get you that jutsu." Kakashi clapped him on the back and walked towards the vault door before stopping and turning to a woman sat behind a glass booth in the wall of the corridor. "Kakashi Hatake and Naruto Uzumaki here to pick out a B-rank jutsu for the Genin as payment for a B-rank mission completion.
The woman looked up at Kakashi and then down to Naruto before asking for their Ninja I'D and a Henge test. After the woman checked all of the identification she opened the vault door and allowed them entry. Naruto was practically bouncing with excitement as he entered the vault. He was stopped from entering immediately though as a wall of light sprung up in front of him. 'Oh what now.' The boy thought Naruto looked at the screen reading the information quickly.

Requirements for Ryo trading are Chunin Rank at least.
Naruto had to hold back the cry of excitement at the news. 'Hehe this place is awesome, I can't wait until I get Chunin, and I can just get ryo by grinding in the dungeons and from missions. All the jutsu will belong to me Mwahahahahaha!' Kakashi raised an eyebrow at the crazed look in his student's eye but the look vanished quickly. "Sorry about that sensei it's just this place is amazing I can't believe there are so many jutsu here."
Kakashi just rolled his visible eye before leading Naruto down the aisles toward the B-rank ranked jutsu section he knew his student wanted. Naruto was looking around in awe of the vault; it seemed to have the exact same layout as the Hokage's taijutsu vault in his office. Naruto was brought out of his awe as he noticed one of the scrolls in the aisle Kakashi had just passed seem to be glowing with a blue sheen. "Kakashi-sensei what is this section of the jutsu?" Kakashi stopped and looked down the aisle Naruto had stopped at.
"Hmm oh this is the Clone jutsu section of the vault, all these jutsu are B-rank clone based techniques, but seeing as most clone techniques aren't that highly ranked it's a bit barren as you can see. How come you wanted to know anyway?" Kakashi asked with a raised eyebrow and a fair amount of suspicion in his voice.
"Just got a feeling the jutsu I need is in here is all. Mind if I take a look?" Naruto asked hoping Kakashi would buy his excuse. Luckily his sensei just shrugged before signalling for Naruto to go down and take look. Naruto knew that if he went straight to the glowing scroll Kakashi would be suspicious. He looked at a random scroll nearer to the entrance of the aisle. Reading through it was an elemental clone that escribed how to turn a body of water into a… body of water the technique apparently allowed the clones one tenth of the user which seemed pretty small to the blonde. Plus he had no affinity yet and wouldn't want to waste this opportunity on it. He closed the notification that came up to learn the technique. The next one was much the same this time using mud to create a clone rather than water. He finally moved on to the glowing scroll, the scroll itself was actually a different colour than the rest, with the others being a dull beige colour while this one seemed to be a deep scarlet. He opened it up slowly seeing as the material seemed to be more fragile than the others as well.
Shadow clone jutsu:
Similar to the basic clone jutsu, this technique creates copies of the user. However, these cones are corporeal instead of illusions. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own though are easily destroyed with one decent hit. Clones can also disperse on their own or be dispelled by the user of the technique.
Warning: this jutsu consumes a massive amount of chakra if misused. That main danger to the user of this technique s information overload, the jutsu transfers the memories of all clones back to the user.
Naruto thought the jutsu sounded good clones that could do everything he could seemed amazing, that was until he hit the warning section and his brain seemed to stop working for a second. "This one I want this one Kakashi sensei!" He called down the aisle to the silver haired Jounin. Kakashi strolled down the aisle interested in whatever his student had found.
His eyes widened when he saw the scarlet scroll. 'What on earth is that doing in here, a kinjutsu should be in the Hokage's personnel vault.' Though thinking about it the jutsu would be perfect for Naruto. "Alright Naruto let me have look at it then." Naruto handed the scroll to Kakashi who went through a couple of hand seals before holding the scroll out in one hand and a blank one in the other. All the information in the scroll was copied over to the blank scroll.
"Whoa sensei that jutsu is awesome, I bet it's really useful in infiltration and spying missions huh?" Kakashi nodded and then handed Naruto the new scroll. "Thanks sensei I'll be sure to learn this in no time." Naruto boasted though he had no idea what he would have had to do to learn it without his mysterious ability. 'Huh I really should come up with a name for this stuff hmm I'll figure it out later.'
"Alright Naruto I want you to promise you won't teach anyone else that jutsu, the warnings on the bottom are serious and without your level chakra you'd probably die if you misused it." Naruto nodded very quickly just wanting to leave and learn the jutsu already. "Good now come on we should probably tell Hokage-sama what jutsu you've picked." Again Kakashi jumped them both to the Hokage's office.
"Hey Jiji I just got even more awesome, who would've guessed that could happen." Hiruzen chuckled at that before looking slightly more serious.
"So what jutsu did you get then Naruto? I hope it's too your liking."
"I got the Kage Bunshin no jutsu. Its awesome imagine all the pranks I can pull with multiple me. Plus I know I'd be able to kick a lot more ass with it." Hearing this Hiruzen's eyes widened at the information before going to Kakashi who just eye smiled.
"Naruto you do know that is a Kinjutsu yes?" Naruto paled at this he had just assumed it was a riskier than normal ninjutsu, the Hokage sighed before taking off his hat and running his wrinkled fingers through his hair. "Naruto I promised you a B-rank jutsu I suppose there is no problem with you having this jutsu, I assume Kakashi has gone over the fact that you mustn't teach this to anyone else without my or Kakashi's express permission. "Good now if that is all I do have a lot of paperwork to do." Kakashi turned to leave but Naruto had stayed behind.
"Jiji there's something else I've been meaning to ask for the past couple of days." The Hokage looked back up from his paperwork with one of his eyebrows raised. Naruto paused not really sure how to say this. He took a deep breath before continuing. "What is my connection to the Kyuubi?"
Hiruzen paled and Kakashi's normally lazy posture instantly straightened, Naruto noticed both of these things but didn't react to them outwardly though his hopes were raised about getting any information regarding himself. "Naruto who has mentioned the Kyuubi to you?" the Hokage asked accidentally releasing a small amount of killing intent.
Naruto was getting more and more nervous but answered anyway. "The villagers always called me demon and then the other night Mizuki called me the Kyuubi. I just wanted to know what it all meant; whenever I asked you as a kid about why the villagers hated me you always said that they were just scared of what they don't understand and not to hate them for it."
Hiruzen sighed he knew this day would come one day he just hoped the boy would be a bit older or a bit stronger before that happened. "Naruto you do have a connection to the kyuubi I won't lie to you, I wanted to wait until you were at least chunin before telling you." Naruto was getting scared now was what they all said was true was he the kyuubi.
Sensing what Naruto was thinking the Hokage continued. "Naruto you are not the Kyuubi, I still don't feel comfortable telling you so here's what will happen, when Kakashi thinks you and your team is ready for a C-rank mission I will let your team do so, upon completion of the mission and providing a favourable report from Kakashi I will tell you all about you're connection between the Kyuubi and its connection to you." Naruto just nodded slowly before smiling meekly at his surrogate grandfather.
"Thanks Jiji don't worry we'll finish up any mission you give us. See ya old man." Naruto left the office still upset by it all and annoyed that the Hokage didn't seem to believe in him but shrugged it off and heading towards his team's training ground to get some skill grinding and stat boosts hopefully.
Back in the office Kakashi stood still looking at the Hokage who seemed troubled by the news that Naruto had learnt more of his connection with kyuubi than he had been comfortable with. "I still think he would be able to handle the news of being a Jinchuuriki Hokage-sama he is a ninja now and has matured remarkable well considering everything."
Sarutobi took his pipe and lit it and took a long drag before responding to the jounin. "I know how you feel but I'm still not comfortable with him knowing, it could lead to more questions that he mustn't know of until he's at least jounin. His father had a lot of enemies not just Iwa and I don't want him to have to deal with that until he is strong enough." He took another puff after seeing Kakashi nod though he did notice the cyclops looked conflicted, it didn't matter he was an incredibly loyal shinobi and knew he wouldn't say anything to Naruto. "How far away from a C-rank do you think your team are?"
Kakashi put his hand to his chin and thought about it for a moment before responding. "I'd say a couple more weeks of training at least, together they could probably take on more than a few bandits but I'd rather not risk it just yet." The Hokage agreed before waving the man off before he disappeared in cloud of smoke and leaves.
Naruto immediately opened the scroll when he got to the clearing that was his team's training ground and looked at the stats required to learn the Jutsu apparently all that was necessary to be able to use the technique was a large amount of chakra with barely any control. A requirement of twenty points in chakra and a single point in control actually made Naruto laugh, even without all of his new abilities and stats he would have been able to learn the jutsu though no one else in his class would have been able to not even Sasuke. Naruto accepted the skill and waited for the expected window to appear.

Tapping yes he felt the information on how to perform the technique immediately enter his mind. He opened his status window and checked the skills and jutsu section, surprisingly the shadow clone jutsu was both a skill and a jutsu, and the information showed that unlike the Midnight haze jutsu he had learned from the dungeon this jutsu could be levelled. He checked the effect the jutsu created and it showed that he could create solid clones of himself at the cost of chakra, disappointingly the clones couldn't perform jutsu at level one and it seemed he didn't get the memories his clones could perform just yet either.
"Well it looks like I've got a new skill to grind up to an acceptable level." He announced to himself and put his hands into two crossed ram seals and the world around him exploded into smoke. The wind blew the smoke away to reveal around twenty clones stood around him, he walked up to one and poked it in the forehead with a bit of force.
"Hey boss did you need to poke so hard I nearly dispelled." Naruto smirked and he knew grinding skills just became a lot easier. 'Looks like I've got some new targets for my 'Power strike' and 'Chakra Formation' this is gonna be fun. He drew his blades and went to work.
"Alright bring it on bitches!" the clones roared and drew their own weapons before charging their creator. 'This is gonna be fun.'
Kakashi's team had just finished a D-ranked mission in the village where they had been asked to walk the dogs of the client. "Alright my cute little genin todays the day I've arranged for you to train with team 7" Naruto had immediately regained all energy he had expended in the mission.
"Awesome I can't wait to kick the Teme's ass and show him who the real Dobe is." Shikamaru at this point decided his friend needed some realism in his life.
"Naruto you do know that a Dobe means Dead-last, assuming that the 'teme' you are talking about is Sasuke then you know he was the number one student in your class, even if you do beat and I'm not saying you cannot you will still be the Dobe as that is what you were in the class." Shikamaru had said all this hoping to discourage the extra effort that would be required for the spar. Though when he turned and saw the look Naruto had sent his way he wished he'd kept his mouth shut.
"Just for that Shika you get the privilege of joining me for my evening training." Said pineapple haired genin groaned knowing full well the torture Naruto was going to put him through; he just had to open his mouth.
"Kakashi-sensei tell Naruto he can't make me train if I don't want to." Shikamaru pleaded with his sensei and hopefully saviour. Said 'saviour' merely looked up from his little orange book.
"I'm sorry Shikamaru did you say something." This in turn caused Shikamaru to mutter and grumble the entire way to the training ground. 'Troublesome blondes and troublesome…silvette or is that greyette… screw it it's too troublesome to think about.'
"Yo Kakashi I see you finally made it, not even that late I gotta say I'm almost impressed." Obito called from underneath a tree in the middle of the clearing. His team sat around the tree waiting for the others to arrive in each their own way. Kiba had been playing with akamaru throwing a small ball around that he had painted to camouflage the trees around them in order to train the dogs tracking abilities. Sasuke was just leant against the tree doing his usual brooding and scowling routine. Naruto could have sworn the boy gave himself a quota for the amount of hours in the day he needed to brood. Ino on the other hand couldn't stop her from staring at the Uchiha in what others would describe as a sort of drug induced haze.
"Yeah, yeah Obito I'm here no reason to complain or be sarcastic."
"What Kakashi me sarcastic? Nooo never." The raven haired man just grinned at his former teammate's huff. He knew he was the only person in the entire village that could get under Kakashi's skin and to be honest he milked it for all it was worth. He'd honestly considered letting Gai in on the fun but he knew that would just drive his friend to an early grave.
"Can you two stop bickering and can we get this started then or not?" as expected Naruto's latent hyperactivity came bubbling to the surface, and in all honesty who could blame him. Sasuke had looked down on him for years and with this strange new power of his he couldn't wait to be the snot out of the emo.
"Hn, the Dobe has a point I thought we were here to fight, can we just get it out of the way so I can go back to my training and stop wasting my time here." Obito merely shrugged but inside he was interested in seeing how Sasuke and Naruto would match up against each other.
It was Kakashi who spoke next. "Alright the way we are going to do this is a round robin style spar. Everyone will fight everyone else one at a time." This seemed to straighten the genin up that was a lot of spars. "This is what we will be doing every time we meet up understood." Receiving four serious nods, one lazy shrug and a simple grunt of acknowledgment from Sasuke, oh and don't forget a small yip from akamaru he carried on. "Okay then the first to fight will be Hinata against Kiba, Kiba you can decide now on whether or not to have akamaru fight alongside you." The feral looking boy turned to his faithful companion and raised an eyebrow before the white puppy ran over and sat next to Ino.
Hinata in the meantime was trying to calm herself down the only other people she was used to sparring against was her cousin and sister, both of which seemed to take pleasure in pointing out everything wrong in her forms. "Hey good luck against dog boy Hinata-chan, not that you'll need it against Kiba." Again the heiress couldn't fight down the blush that came from Naruto speaking to her, but over the past week she had been trying harder to carry on the conversation he would start up.
"T-thanks Naruto-kun I'll do my best." She responded as strongly as she could, though in her nervous state that happened to come out very quickly and it all seemed to be a single word. Again she blushed and turned away walking into the clearing as she walked by Shikamaru he offered her a small bit of advice.
"He will no doubt have you beat for strength Hinata but we both know you're taijutsu doesn't need that and your striking speed should overwhelm him soon enough. Good luck." She just nodded her head in thanks before reaching the centre of the training grounds.
Naruto watched his teammate walk into the middle of the clearing and decided to check the stats of the two fighters, it had only been a week and didn't expect their stats to change too drastically but he was still excited by his new abilities. 'Scan'

'huh I guess I'm not the only one capable of levelling up, it looks like Hinata has gotten faster and has more stamina than a week ago her control increased a bit as well. Think she's a bit stronger as well.' Naruto then turned to Kiba to see how he faired against his teammate. 'Scan'

'Yikes Kiba has pretty horrendous control and intelligence though I suppose that isn't a surprise. He's pretty well balanced physically though.' Naruto thought about their stats and how they compared before deciding the fight was still in Hinata's favour as Shikamaru said it was more than likely her attack speed would be able to defeat Kiba.
Obito walked in between the two genin who stood a fair distance away from each other. "Alright younglings time for the rules. You can use whatever jutsu you like just nothing deadly. The time limit for the spars will be three minutes each, if you haven't beaten your opponent by then, then it will be declared a draw. I'd like to point out that this isn't about winning or losing it's about learning how to improve yourself but let's be honest everyone wants to win so without further ado begin." Obito then dropped his arms from above his head to below his waist in a rather grandiose manner before jumping back and landing next to Kakashi.
"Honestly do you take anything seriously." Kakashi asked but Obito just stared at him disbelievingly as his friend just stood there reading his damn porn again.
Kiba had bolted straight at Hinata wanting to end the fight quickly; he didn't want to hurt Hinata. Not that he was underestimating the Hyuuga princess, if anything his older sister and mother had taught him it was to never underestimate a woman. No he just wanted to conserve his energy for the rest of the spars.
The inuzuka got within six feet of Hinata before leaping towards her headfirst before beginning to rotate rapidly. He yelled "Tsuuga (Passing Fang)"as he picked up speed he began to resemble a drill and he kept heading straight towards the girl.
Hinata had activated her byakugan as soon as the fight started and seeing the human drill coming towards her she leapt to the side as quickly as she could narrowly avoiding the attack. With her eyes she didn't need to turn to see Kiba turn quickly and head back in her direction. This time she jumped away sooner avoiding it by a larger margin. Though Kiba had again turned and barrelled towards her again, having got the timing down form the first two attempts she dodged at just the right time to avoid the attack while still being in striking range for her own attacks, she reached out with her right hand and seemed to poke the animalistic shinobi roughly five times before he had fully passed her.
Kiba kept spinning but slowed down a lot and couldn't turn back around to continue to attack so he stopped before turning to face Hinata. "Would you please stop jumping around everywhere it's kind of annoying!"
Back with the rest of them Shikamaru decided to speak up. "Isn't that the exact same thing he was doing, jumping around?"
"Meh it doesn't matter now anyway Hinata-chan has got this in the bag." Naruto chimed in with his patented foxy grin.
"What do you know Naruto all Hinata has done is run away from Kiba." No one from team 10 responded though Naruto's grin was still there and was quickly joined by Shikamaru.
Back to the fight and Kiba seemed to be favouring his right hand side with his left being fairly numb though he couldn't tell why for the life of him. Figuring he couldn't use his Tsuuga anymore he charged forwards at Hinata who slipped into the stance for her family's taijutsu style and waited for Kiba to approach.
Kiba let loose a feral growl as he swung for Hinata his hands open in a clawing motion, the blue haired girl simply sidestepped while swatting his hands to the side though she did loose balance slightly from the force he had put behind the swing. 'Shikamaru was right he is much stronger than I am at the moment, he's slower than me too.' Hinata regained her balance only to find Kiba swinging his left hand claw seemingly aimed at her waist. Unfortunately for him Hinata had sealed five of the boys tenketsu going up and down his left hand side so the swing was a lot slower than he had intended it to be this allowed her to again swat it aside this time taking the time to close another of his tenketsu as she slid around to his side the young inuzuka lost sight of the young hyuuga this cost him dearly as he didn't see or even expect the palm strike that hit him square in the temple.
Kiba seemed to have stood still rooted for a second before dropping to the ground like a puppet with its strings cut. Hinata breathed a sigh of relief now that the fight was over. Then she realised what she had done to Kiba. 'Oh no oh no I just did what Tou-san always taught me to do I hope he's okay.' She was stopped from freaking out by the older uchiha who had appeared by her side to check on his student.
"Well done Hinata that was a very well fought spar, don't worry he's fine just slightly unconscious there doesn't seem to be any damage and he should be up in a minute." He finished his sentence with a smile and a congratulatory pat on the shoulder before he went to scoop up his fallen genin.
Kiba then shot up right before blinking in confusion as to what had just happened. "Huh Obito-sensei why are you interrupting the fight?" This in turn caused Obito to chuckle before he motioned to Hinata.
"Well that would be because you just got your ass handed to you Kiba." Kiba growled at this not really understanding what was going on. "oh don't get all huffy it happens to the best of us, now stop pouting man-up and learn from your mistakes so you're better next time okay." Kiba growled again but nodded anyway.
"Hey Hinata I don't know what you did to make my left side all numb but I don't suppose you can fix it can you." Kiba asked though he seemed to be adamant about not looking in her direction when he did so.
"H-Hai I can, sorry about that Kiba." He just shrugged again not really being able to stay mad at the timid girl. She quickly re-activated her byakugan with a hand seal before she poked him a few times in the side. "You should get the feeling back in about ten to fifteen minutes give or take." Kiba just winced at the odd sensation before nodding and hobbling back over to the group followed quickly by Hinata.
"Congrats Hinata-chan you did awesome, I knew you could do it." Naruto bounced over to Hinata before clamping an arm around her shoulder. Causing her to blush wildly from the unexpected contact with her crush.
"T-t-thank you Naruto-kun." She managed to get out before fainting on the spot. Again causing the clueless blonde to freak out, Shikamaru to face palm and kakashi to just walk over before pulling out his now frequently used bottle of smelling salts.
After the fainting fiasco had cleared up Kiba walked over to Obito looking rather sheepish. "Sorry about that sensei guess I could have used Akamaru's help after all." Obito looked Kiba in the eye with a blank stare for a moment, freaking the boy out until he smiled patted him on the back.
"Mah don't worry about it Kiba it's only a spar and we all learn better from our defeats than victories. Alright who's up next Kakashi?" the silver haired jounin looked up from his book before nodding at both Naruto and Shikamaru.
"Huh? I thought we'd be fighting their team first sensei?" Naruto questioned though wasn't really bothered about facing Shikamaru; he just wanted to fight Sasuke as soon as possible.
"Can I just forfeit sensei fighting the blonde is far too troublesome?" Noting the blank stare from his sensei for his own personal use in the future he just grumbled and headed into the clearing with Naruto in tow.

Naruto just reached out and tapped the yes button having expected it to show up sooner or later and the added bonus of the skill unlock brought a smile to his face the past week of thinking over his new abilities had allowed him to embrace the strangeness and just sit back and let it happen. "Listen Shika I know you're not gonna try very hard so how about this. You actually put some effort into this spar and you don't have to join me for training later on?" Shikamaru scratched his chin for a while taking his time to mull the pros and cons of either fighting or training and finally decided he would be made to spar regardless but he could always avoid extra training.
"Fine but you can't complain when I don't turn up to training later. Or come find me… or tell my mother I'm avoiding training." Naruto just nodded his head while performing a few stretches to get into a decent condition for the fight all the while having scanned Shikamaru's stats.

'I know he's smart and everything but come on how can his intelligence be so high when he's only at level three.' The shock over how high the other boys intelligence was had caused Naruto to miss Obito declaring the start of the fight and only regained focus in time to duck under a pair of shuriken thrown by his friend.
Naruto looked up to see that Shikamaru had jumped back to keep some distance between the two of them. "Aww come on Shika stop playing hard to get." Shikamaru just smirked before throwing more shuriken at the blonde. Naruto rolled to the side in response all the while drawing one of his chakra blades out from its holster. Holding it in a reverse grip in his right hand he ran towards the Nara keeping his weights still active as he didn't need to take them off to be faster than Shikamaru. 'Hmm I should probably increase the weight for these soon.' Naruto serpentine his way closer to his teammate, getting himself to within seven feet of the taller boy before he saw his hands go into the rat seal. "Crap." He yelled before braking quickly and jumping back as fast as he could.
"Aww come on Naruto stop playing hard to get." Shikamaru smirked at the blonde knowing Naruto was going to need to do a lot more to get within touching distance. Naruto bristled with having his own taunt fired back at him.
'Dammit I didn't think Shikamaru could go through hand seals so quickly. Hmm guess I'm gonna have to keep him on the move in order to get closer to him… that makes sense doesn't it.' Shaking away that train of thought Naruto put his chakra blade away before taking a pair of regular kunai.
The blonde dashed forward once more in a serpentine manner. Once he got about ten feet away he threw the first kunai with his left hand, having aimed at the Nara's core Shikamaru was left with choice but to hop away. He had managed to maintain his sequence of hand seals though. But as he landed on the final hand seal Naruto had gotten close enough to deliver a reasonably powerful kick to the brunette's outer thigh. Naruto smirked having gotten the first blow only for his opponent to puff away and a log to go bouncing away.
Shikamaru quickly ran though the same set of hand seals before sending his shadow after Naruto from a nearby bush that he had hidden in. The shadow made contact with Naruto's and Shikamaru sighed in relief before Naruto was surrounded by smoke and Shikamaru's shadow was connected to the now dropping log.
Widening his eyes Shikamaru quickly jumped out of the bush again going through hand seals before he even landed he turned to find Naruto jumping out of the bush after him throwing a kunai at the retreating Nara for good measure. Shikamaru rolled to the side avoiding the kunai before begin kicked solidly in the side by Naruto, the force causing him to move backwards.
Shikamaru grunted but focussed through the pain and loss of balance enough to stay on his feet and to send his shadow outward and capture Naruto mid punch. "Kagemane no jutsu (Shadow Imitation), success. You know how it goes Naruto you may as well just give up and save me the effort."
"God-dammit Shika this jutsu is totally unfair." Shikamaru just smirked at his blonde teammate and friend. Seeing as Naruto wasn't the type to ever yield when there was even the slimmest of possibilities of victory Shikamaru reached up with his right hand placed it too his throat. Naruto mirrored the movement though he had a kunai in his hands. "You know I hate you for making me do this right." Naruto glared.
Shikamaru was about to retort when he was suddenly kicked in the back of the knees causing him to fall forward in a kneeling position ending the Kagemane no jutsu before he felt a small pressure on the side of his neck he looked to the side to see a very familiar chakra blade positioned point first against his throat. "Yield or No 2 gets all stabby." The Naruto in front of him said. Shikamaru was confused but gave up anyway and cancelled hi
As soon as Shikamaru had surrendered the Naruto behind him popped out of existence. "Well that sucked I really didn't wanna have to use that today." Naruto grumbled as he leant forward and helped Shikamaru to his feet.
Shikamaru just looked at his teammate suspiciously. "When? When did you make a clone, and how was it solid." Naruto just chuckled before answering proudly.
"Oh come on you're the genius I'm pretty sure you can figure out when I made the clone, other than that the clone is solid because it's not a regular clone it was a shadow clone. It's the technique I got with my payment for the mission I did the night of graduation.
Shikamaru just stared at Naruto before smiling and patting him on the back. "Of course when you used Kawarimi to get away from my shadow. I swear Naruto only you could get what must be a jounin level technique the first day of being a ninja." Shikamaru grimaced as he finished the sentence his ribs being slightly sore from the kick Naruto had sent his way. "I guess I should thank you for not going all out on me then, we both know that kick would have hurt a hell of a lot more without your chakra weights active." Naruto just waved him off though if you looked closely he did seem to be embarrassed from what Shikamaru had said.
"Don't mention it, not like I want the teme to know how fast I really am before I clobber his ass." The Nara just rolled his eyes before turning and walking back to the rest. 'I guess spars don't get me Experience points either. That's annoying that would have been a pretty fun way to grind experience.'
Obito turned to Kakashi with a raised eyebrow. "Shadow clones Kakashi, bit risky for a genin don't you think." Kakashi just glanced up at Obito then back to his book without saying a word. "Yeah I suppose you're right he's the only genin with enough chakra to have performed that jutsu with barely any risk. I'm still surprised the Hokage was okay with it though." Kakashi again just glanced to his former teammate before shrugging and standing up straight.
"Alright that was a nice spar you two, glad to see you're improving Naruto and Shikamaru I'm proud of you actually putting effort in, I'd be lying if I said I didn't half expect you to surrender immediately." Naruto beamed from the praise of his sensei while Shikamaru just sucked on his teeth before sighing and sitting down. "Alright Ino, Sasuke you're up next. Try not to get too handsy with each other if you can help it. No one wants to see that."
Both of the teens blushed at Kakashi's blatant innuendo before Ino stomped off into the middle of the grounds whereas Sasuke merely grunted before moving up opposite her. "Are you even going to put up a fight Ino, I won't show any mercy either way. I must get stronger and to do that I must defeat all who oppose me." Sasuke having finished what he needed to say slipped into his taijutsu stance merely waiting for Obito to give the go ahead.
Ever since she saw Sasuke stood across from her Ino had been nervous beyond all belief. How could she fight her Sasuke-kun she could never hurt the love of her life. Never mind what Sakura would say or do if she found out. She was about to forfeit hen Sasuke spoke up and declared his intent. Was this really what the boy was like how could he so callously admit to hurting other people with no remorse no hesitation and if what her father had taught her was correct then he seemed almost giddy at the prospect of inflicting pain on another.
'N give up he will just think I'm weak I need to prove myself to not just him but Obito-sensei as well.' She steeled her resolve as best as she could before settling into the academy taijutsu stance with a single kunai into her left hand and a brace of shuriken in the right. Sasuke himself hadn't moved from the taijutsu stance he had already gotten into not bothering to grab a weapon in response to the blonde.
With the rest of the group Naruto had considered using his scan ability again but decided it would probably be better to use it when he was preparing to face them himself. "So Kiba do you think this is going to be as one sided as Sasuke seems to think." Kiba turned to Naruto not really bothering with the fight, and to be honest his side was still numb and he was trying to get the feeling in it back as quickly as possible.
"Probably, she doesn't really have any skills outside the academy set and even those are about average. Though she does have that weird mind rape jutsu thing." Kiba finished what he was saying before turning back to fight to see Ino flat on the ground and Sasuke stood over her. "See what I mean it finished in a single sentence." Naruto was surprised he didn't think anyone in the graduating class would have been able to defeat the others so quickly.

After Obito had started the spar Sasuke had immediately bolted straight towards his teammate. Ino threw her kunai as hard and as accurately as she could before whipping the shuriken she held at him. She immediately reached into her pouch and grabbing another kunai. Sasuke plucked the kunai Ino had thrown at him out of the air before using it to bat away the shuriken she had thrown. He saw her reaching for another kunai so he flipped the one held around holding the blade between his fingers before throwing it ring first at her.
The kunai sailed through the air impacting the back of Ino's hand forcing her to drop the kunai she had fetched. She recoiled from the pain before looking up to see Sasuke right in front of her before he seemed to step past her before grabbing her collar and throwing her to the ground and placing his foot on her chest.
Sasuke looked down on her with no mirth or sense of victory in his eyes, if she was to describe it as anything then she could only describe it as boredom. "Yield." She quickly nodded not quite believing she could have been taken so easily. She knew that Sasuke was the strongest in their class but she had competed for the spot of the top kunoichi and couldn't believe how easily she had been taken down, if his foot where on her throat right now she had no illusions that Sasuke could have killed quickly and easily.
Obito appeared behind Sasuke in a burst of embers before grabbing him by the scruff of his collar yanking him backwards and throwing him over to the rest of the group before picking Ino up a lot more gracefully and placing her down to stand on her own feet. "I'm sorry about him Ino he may not have hurt you too badly but I've seen him do much worse for less." He too her injured hand to inspect the damage it had taken. "It looks broken Ino; you shouldn't take part in the spars anymore today
The two quickly walked back to the group were Sasuke stood fuming having to will himself to not attack his sensei. He knew the older man could destroy him, hell he didn't even know if Itachi would be able to win against their 'cousin'.
Obito turned to Sasuke his face seemingly blank but if he looked closely you could see a cold fury in his eyes. That all vanished though when a broad smile formed on his face. "Well done Sasuke that was a good spar though we both know with your abilities you didn't have to break Ino's hand with that kunai." Obito huffed slightly before turning to face his female genin. "Ino I'm sorry about your hand we should probably go get that looked at."
"We'll take a few minutes to rest, that should let Kiba get some feeling back and everyone else can have a breather while Obito here takes Ino to the hospital." Obito put his hands on Ino's shoulder before vanishing in a regular shunshin towards the hospital.
"So that was a thing, yo teme ever heard of just cooling it off with the whole being a moody bitch thing. I mean it is kind of understandable given that you have the emotional range of a potato." He heard the familiar ping of the ability before ignoring it and paying attention to Sasuke again.
"Hn, whatever Dobe it's not like she didn't have it coming." Sasuke then turned looking away from the rest of the group no doubt wanting to begin moping about something or other once again. Naruto sighed before tapping the small pulsing light that had begun to blink in the corner of his vision.

Looking back over the group Kiba seemed to be scratching Akamaru while flexing his hand looking like had finally regained some of the feeling. Shikamaru was glaring at Sasuke's back who seemed to be doing his best to ignore everyone else. Hinata had decided to fiddle with her kunai pouch. Kakashi seemed to be engrossed in his book again.
Finally Shikamaru stood up and walked over to Sasuke before coughing. "Sasuke, I've known Ino since we were born and though she can be annoying and troublesome most of the time." He paused making sure Sasuke was looking directly at him. "If you ever hurt her again simply to test yourself or for whatever other reason, then you better run because I'll destroy you for hurting her, she thinks she loves you and all you care about is yourself."
Sasuke didn't blink he just shrugged before waving him off. "Whatever Nara just stay out of my way." Everyone in the clearing just stared at Sasuke for a moment before Naruto stood up walked over to him and bonked him on the head.
"Teme I don't care if you meant to do it or not but you need to apologise to Ino." Sasuke growled as he stood bolt upright lightning racing between the eyes of him and Naruto.
"Dobe don't you ever tell me what to do, not some no clan loser like yourself, and if you ever touch me again I'll rip your arm off." He emphasised his point by shoving Naruto back and away causing him to stumble slightly.
"Oh I can't wait for our fight teme; you won't know what hit you. Actually you will, it'll be my boot, then my fist and then again in an order I haven't quite figured out yet. But then again even if I did would you really want me to ruin the surprise Sasu-gay…" He ended with a knowing smirk all he had to do was wait. 'Three… Two… One… Bingo'
"NARUTO!" Sasuke roared in rage. Naruto just flicked him in the forehead before cackling and hoping away. Everyone else was amazed that Naruto seemed to have worked Sasuke into such a frenzy no one had ever seen before. What was even more amazing was that Naruto was just laughing like a madman while jumping around the Uchiha who was moving at speeds none of them thought they could match.
Though Kiba figured if he ever managed to get the 'Shikyaku no jutsu (Four legs technique) that his mother had started teaching him since graduation then he'd be able to match the speed that Sasuke as moving at easily, not to mention the increase in power his Tsuuga would have.
Naruto was just waiting for Sasuke to give up but damn it he didn't know the teme had this much stamina. 'Hmm may as well check this out. Scan.'

Naruto just sighed before jumping back towards the group where Obito had just arrived. The eldest Uchiha had to restrain his younger cousin who seemed to be frothing at the mouth like a rabid dog.
"Jeez Naruto what the hell did you say to him to get him this wound up, you gotta teach me that." Obito chuckled before turning Sasuke around, activating his Sharingan and casting a genjutsu on the genin to calm him down.
"Hehe sorry Obito-sensei but that's all natural." Speaking of which Naruto had gotten another two small flashes at the corner of his vision.

Naruto just began laughing manically again, at least this time it was in his head so no-one knew that his new abilities seemed to be driving him further and further to madness but at least being insane makes the world a bit more entertaining at least that was the blondes opinion of his own psyche. 'Hahahahaha this is amazing I can't believe teasing the teme got me so much, I'm definitely doing that more often.'
"Anyway now that I'm back and everyone has had a nice long rest why don't we get on with the rest of the spars? Kiba you good to go." Getting a nod from Akamaru and small fist pump from his master Obito carried on. "Okay then Kiba you're up against Shikamaru." The two boys walked into the centre of the clearing. Kiba practically bouncing with energy wanting to prove his strength after being beaten in a way he could only describe as pitifully by Hinata, he had brought Akamaru with him this time and intended to win. Shikamaru on the other hand was still upset by what happened to Ino and was slightly annoyed at kiba for not seeming to care about his teammate. "Begin!"
In a surprise move Shikamaru was the first to initiate the fight. He threw four shuriken towards kiba who jumped away in one direction with Akamaru going in the other; Shikamaru had leapt towards kiba immediately after throwing the knives and followed his dodge ending up right in front of the Inuzuka boy. Shikamaru swung with his right fist it was immediately batted aside by the stronger and faster boy. Followed by a further three blows from the Nara, all dealt with in the same manner as before.
"Now this is the type of a fight a guy enjoys, come on let's get wild ya lazy bastard!" Kiba yelled before grabbing Shikamaru's wrist and throwing him up and over his shoulder. "Now boy!" kiba signalled Akamaru as the Nara rolled along the ground. Akamaru leaped at Shikamaru fangs revealed, the dog seemed to be aiming a bite at the Nara's bicep. Shikamaru raised his elbow knocking the dogs jaw upwards at the last second he rolled away while doing so before raising his hands into a finished hand seal. His shadow shot outwards and caught Akamaru trapping him still.
"Yield Kiba." Shikamaru said before lifting a kunai from his pouch and holding by the bladed side much like Sasuke had done in the last bout. Akamaru's front right just moved around awkwardly in the air. "Kiba you know you won't be able to get to him before I throw this so just stop and surrender."
Kiba's head hung low, it was the second time that day he had been beaten, and this time he couldn't even blame the lack of his partner, in fact he had allowed his partner to be captured the worst sin of any Inuzuka. "I yield, just let him go." Kiba practically growled out, his head lifted slightly to show his slit eyes glaring holes through Shikamaru's skull. Shikamaru just shrugged uncaringly before dropping the shadow bind and walking back to the group. Kiba walked over to Akamaru before smiling and picking the puppy up and plain him onto his head. "There, there boy we'll get em all next time. I swear it."
"Well done pretty good for a quickly improvised plan." Kakashi praised Shikamaru who again just shrugged before rubbing the arm Kiba had thrown him with muttering something along the lines of troublesome this or troublesome that. No one was surprised.
Obito again stood among the group before pointing to Hinata and Naruto before flicking over his shoulder with his thumb. "You two are up next." Hinata just squealed for a fraction of a second before looking at Naruto who simply walked into the middle of the clearing waiting for her.
"Come on Hinata-chan we need to do this or we won't improve he asked not knowing he was trying to get the girl who liked to agree to possibly harm him. Let's just say the young Hyuuga was a bit torn by the prospect of this particular outcome of events.
Shikamaru had expected this to happen so walked over to her before leaning close to her. "Remember what I told you about proving yourself to be his friend Hinata, this is only a spar and we both know Naruto is nothing like Sasuke. He will respect you a lot more if you face him properly though." Hinata turned slightly red at the prospect of Naruto's recognition. She weighed up the pros and cons before she walked into the centre of the clearing and settling into her taijutsu stance.
"great I've been meaning to see how well I held up against you since we had the bell test Hinata, this is gonna be fun right?" Naruto asked the Hyuuga heiress with a huge smile on his face. Hinata couldn't help but be sucked into the boys enthusiasm and drive. Though she only managed to respond with a simple nod the smile on her face was clear to him.
"My lords, my ladies, and everybody else here not sitting on a cushion!" Obito announced clearly. Everyone just stared at him not knowing what the hell he was going on about. Except Kakashi who just face palmed before groaning 'not this again' "For you are all equally blessed. For I have the pride, the privilege, nay, the pleasure of introducing to you to a ninja, sired by ninjas. A ninja who can trace his lineage back beyond founding of the hidden villages. I first met him atop a mountain near Kumogakure, praying to Kami, asking his forgiveness for the Kiri blood spilt by his blade. Next, he amazed me still further in Nami no Kuni when he saved a fatherless beauty from the would-be ravishing of her dreadful Iwa uncle." Seemingly caught up in the ridiculousness Kiba booed. "In The Fire Temple he spent a year in silence just to better understand the sound of a whisper. And so without further gilding the lily and with no more ado, I give to you, the seeker of serenity, the protector of Nami virginity, the enforcer of our Lord Kami, the one, the only, Sir Naruto Uzumaki!" Nothing could be heard for miles around except the blowing of the winds as what looked like tumbleweed rolled through the clearing.
Obito coughed. "You guys are no fun… oh whatever begin." Obito then shunshinned back to Kakashi. "What did you think of that one?" he asked to his old teammate.
"Understanding the sound of a whisper was a bit much." Kakashi said before returning to his book. Obito shrugged before looking back at the beginning of the fight between the two teammates.
Naruto's face was completely blank no emotion no twitching nothing before Hinata spoke up. "Naruto was that true what he said about the girl from Nami?" Hinata asked with an incredibly deep blush on her face.
This finally shook Naruto out of his trance. "What!? No, no none of that crap was. Honestly stupid crazy sensei ruining the mood for a good spar." Obito could be heard in the background yelling something about hearing that you blonde punk. "Anyway should we get started?" Hinata nodded before they both settled into their respective taijutsu stances.
They both dashed straight towards one another clearly intent on starting out with taijutsu first. Hinata aimed a palm strike for Naruto's chest before he used his forearm to guide hers away from the outside before rolling around her before attempting a backhand strike to the head. Hinata with the Byakugan active easily anticipate the attack and easily ducked before swinging her foot out in a wide sweeping arc intended to topple the blonde. Naruto saw her duck and so expecting some form of low attack flipped backwards onto his hands away from the kick before pushing up and flipping himself upright. He saw the girl charge him in the time he had taken to right himself.
Naruto cursed seeing Hinata had closed the distance he created surprisingly quickly. She aimed for his shoulder with another palm strike only for Naruto dodge with a simple sidestep before he attempted to counter Hinata had already launched another palm strike with her free hand this one aimed for his abdominal core, a much more difficult place to dodge. He shifted his weight and began to fall backwards while focussing some chakra to his stomach.
Hinata struck quickly with the Jyuuken though only pushed the blonde further into a backwards roll, she pouted having hoped to have cleared a few of his tenketsu with that hit and had only managed one or two. Naruto grimaced as he rolled backwards it was odd to have no chakra flow in certain areas.
As he rolled backwards Naruto feet re-touched the ground, as soon as the balls of his feet met the ground he sprang forward towards Hinata not expecting such a fast charged she was caught unaware as Naruto delivered a spinning kick to the side, luckily she had managed to raise her arms to guard. It did leave them slightly bruised from the impact though. Naruto didn't relent though as followed the blow up with a punch to the shoulder. Hinata brought her arm up though and redirected Naruto's strike causing him to spin slightly and lose balance.
Hinata took full advantage as she released attack after attack towards Naruto; luckily the blonde recovered enough to begin blocking her attacks with chakra infused palms. This slowed the hyuuga's effectiveness down but couldn't stop the strikes completely with more and more tenketsu being closed, though he could swear he was getting feeling back in his abdominals as time went on.
Unluckily for Naruto Hinata began to unleash faster and faster strikes at her teammate. Naruto knowing he wouldn't be able to block them all unlocked his weights before his limbs seemed to speed up allowing him to block the strikes slightly easier though he was still hard pressed. He noticed Hinata starting to slow and took action, spinning around a sloppier than average strike Naruto broke into her guard. The girl eeped from the close proximity only to gasp as Naruto drove his fist into her gut before he grabbed her by the back of the collar, picked her up and when he was about to slam her down she yelled. "I yield." Immediately Naruto slowed before placing her down gently.
"Hehe great spar Hinata-chan you're really good at taijutsu I can't believe we're the same age. You must have trained really hard over the years" he noticed her flinch but he assumed he had hurt her in some way. "Are you okay Hinata-chan I didn't hurt you did in?" naruto's voice quivered slightly with worry.
Hinata rubbed her stomach before smiling at the boy, this spar was nothing compared to what she had to go through against her cousin and father, not that Naruto needed to know that. "No it's fine Naruto-kun just a bit tender is all." Naruto offered his hand to her while rubbing the back of his neck with the other.
"Sorry about that I got a bit into it there." They both walked back to the group with kiba and Sasuke walking into the clearing in their stead.
"Well done you two you're taijutsu is still impressive for fresh genin." Kakashi commented as they came back. They both smiled up at the older ninja. "I'll be sure to work on it with you both in the future seeing as you show a lot of promise. He then turned to Shikamaru who was lying on the ground looking at the clouds. "Not sure what to do with you though, hmm I guess it'll come to me after a few dozen laps of the village."
"Does running help you think sensei?" Hinata asked as she sat down near Shikamaru with Naruto sitting on his other side.
"Seeing Shikamaru running helps me think, not so much when I do it though." Shikamaru just groaned in response again muttering something along the lines of troublesome sensei. Naruto hearing this again bonked his friend on the head. They all turned to watch the fight between kiba and Sasuke.
The fight hadn't been too spectacular and Obito hadn't chosen to give a flashy introduction seeing no one seemed to care. The fight started with kiba dashing in close to begin another taijutsu fight, this was responded in kind by Sasuke who settled into the Uchiha's intercepting fist style, though without the Sharingan the style was limited and could only really be used at around half efficiency. This wasn't a problem for Sasuke though, for while kiba may have been fast for his age he wasn't at the level of Sasuke yet, the difference was shown as for every three or four attacks from Kiba Sasuke would counter one, while not overly impressive it did lead to Sasuke slowly but surely pulling ahead in the fight.
After a particularly effective cross-counter Kiba stumbled backwards, he looked up seeing Sasuke on the offensive for the first time, not wanting to be beaten again he jumped backwards avoiding a spin kick from the Uchiha. "Tsuuga!" kiba yelled as he launched himself into a spin towards Sasuke. This proved to be his undoing though as Sasuke had been waiting for this as he too jumped backwards all the while going through a set of hand seals before ending on the tiger sign.
"Katon: Gokakyu no jutsu (Great fireball technique)" a stream of fire left sasuke's lips heading straight toward the human twister that was Kiba. All the other genin paled at the thought of being on the other end of that technique. Kiba was engulfed in the flames though they quickly passed and when they did kiba could be seen getting slowly up from the ground his clothes heavily singed
"Stop drop and roll has never been more effective than then huh Akamaru." Kiba said as the puppy ran up to the panting Inuzuka. Akamaru just yipped at his master before rubbing his head against his shin. "Mah don't worry I'm fine, beat but fine." He turned to look at Sasuke. "If you hadn't figured it out I yield, try not to set me on fire next time we spar though okay." Sasuke just shrugged before heading back to the tree he had been spending his resting time under. Kiba didn't leave just dropping to his ass and started petting Akamaru. 'I guess that everyone has beaten me then, well except Naruto but he beat both Hinata and Shikamaru. Jeez when did I get so pathetic that everyone else can beat me? I hate to say it but I think I'm gonna have to ask Hana for some training again.' He stood up and placed Akamaru onto his head before walking back to the group. "I'm done for the day; I haven't got any energy left for the spars sorry sensei. Do you mind if I head home?"
Obito nodded at his student with a smile. "Don't worry about it Kiba you fought hard today and you've only been a genin for a week you have plenty of time to improve. It's fine if you wanna head home, I'll see you tomorrow for training." Kiba nodded with a slight smile before heading off the Inuzuka clan compound.
Kakashi closed his book seeing as Obito had turned to him, he looked at the assembled genin. "Well that only leaves the four of you left to fight?" Naruto immediately raised his hand and Sasuke seemed to be more attentive all of a sudden. "Oh why Shikamaru I didn't think you'd be so keen. Well if you must fight who am I to stop you." Shikamaru who hadn't even been looking at the man and had instead been watching the clouds again just sighed before standing and walking into the clearing. "Well Sasuke you ready to go again, or do you need a breather?" Sasuke just glared at the silver haired man. "Okay guess Sasuke doesn't wanna play nice Hinata you're up." Sasuke just fumed at the man his fists balling until the whites of his knuckle seemed to be stretched remarkable thin.
Hinata didn't really wanna anger Sasuke but she didn't want to disappoint Kakashi so she walked into the clearing seeing the slouched form of Shikamaru standing across from her. "If you don't wanna fight me Hinata I'd be more than happy to forfeit." Any response was quickly taken away from her by a small rock hitting Shikamaru in the side of the head. They both turned to see Naruto glaring at Shikamaru from the side-line. "Troublesome blonde I swear he will be the death of me one day. Should we just get this over with Hinata seeing as I apparently don't have the choice to surrender." She nodded quickly before Obito signalled for the beginning of the fight,
Back on the side-lines Kakashi turned to Naruto. "You know he's gonna freak out on us one of these days don't you?" he said gesturing to Shikamaru, Naruto just shrugged. "So you've fought them both who do you think will win?" Naruto seemed to think about it for a moment before responding.
"Probably Hinata, if she keeps the pressure Shikamaru won't have time to go through hand seals and he won't be able to hide from her. Not with the byakugan anyway, if she didn't have them I'd probably say Shikamaru though." Kakashi just nodded having thought along the same lines as the blonde. "Though if Hinata doesn't finish it quickly he'll come up with a plan regardless. Then I'd say it's a lot more likely he will win in the end." Again the silver haired man agreed.
The fight started with Shikamaru immediately jumping away from Hinata in order to keep her away from as long as possible. Hinata gave chase immediately not wanting to risk giving the Nara time to formulate a plan. Shikamaru began to throw shuriken after shuriken in a hope to keep the Hyuuga heiress at bay. Hinata brought out a kunai in order to bat the shuriken away while still maintaining the momentum of her chase. He tried to jump further away but was kept close by Hinata aiming her kunai at the top of his leap. Shikamaru had to twist to avoid the kunai though it did make a small cut into his thigh. He tumbled to the ground though righted himself quickly though not quick enough to avoid Hinata's assault. Hinata barrelled into him closing two tenketsu in his leg as the Nara kicked out in an attempt to keep the taijutsu user at bay; he still managed to get to his feet though immediately stumbled as his right foot seemed to drag slowly. Quickly raising his arms into a guard Shikamaru saw his teammate begin to strike out at him. Hinata hands stuck quickly and with the precision that only comes from hours upon hours of training. As her hands slowed down and she stopped her attacks Shikamaru poofed into a cloud of smoke revealing a log. Hinata activated her byakugan to try and find the shadow user, she found him to her eight o'clock though didn't get the chance to pursue as a shadow connected to her own. Shikamaru allowed her to turn around. "I yield. There's no point to talking me into it Shika." Hinata said rather tiredly having to chase the lazy teen around. Said teen just shrugged before letting the jutsu end. Again they walked back to the group.
"Sensei I think I'm done for the day, though I'd like to stay and watch the rest of the spars." Hinata said looking toward Kakashi who just waved her off from the confines of his book.
"Me too, I'm pretty low on chakra not to mention my I feel like I'm Going to cough up a lung." Kakashi looked up from his book and stared the Nara directly in the eye. He didn't blank or make any other motion for a while causing Shikamaru to sweat. Until he flashed one of his signature eye smiles.
"Okay then Shikamaru honestly I expected you to give up a while ago." He closed his book before motioning for Obito to start the last spar. Obito nodded before looking to Naruto and Sasuke only for the two guys to have settled into their respective stances in the middle of the grounds. Naruto had already drawn his chakra blades and Sasuke having readied a single kunai.
"Hn nice knives Dobe how about you give them to someone who knows how to use them properly?" Sasuke smirked at his blonde comrade. Naruto just rolled his eyes before standing in a more relaxed stance that had him with his hands on his hips and one leg outstretched in front of him with only the heel touching the ground and the toes pointing upwards. Sasuke started to seethe thinking Naruto was underestimating him.
Naruto on the other hand was thinking over the way the Dokeshi felt, if he were to describe it he felt happier, and lighter on his feet though oddly passive. "Hey Sasuke how come you never went out with any of the girls in the academy?"
Sasuke stepped out of his stance for a moment before snarling. "Whatever Dobe stop trying to distract me."
Naruto just smirked at his long-time rival. "Well you see the rest of us guys seemed to have a theory, in fact it's the reason most of us stayed away from you, well aside from your complete lack of conversational skills and general likeability" Again Sasuke snarled telling the boy to shut up before dashing toward the blonde.
Sasuke threw some shuriken towards Naruto who merely cartwheeled out of the way the grin never leaving his face. "What's the matter Sasuke aren't you even a little curious." Sasuke having caught up to the blonde swiped out with the kunai at Naruto he just leant backwards to the point his back was at a ninety degree angle to the floor. Sasuke went to kick his legs out from under him only for Naruto to put his hand to the ground and rolling backwards away from the kick. "Well you see Sasuke after we saw you deny the advances of pretty much every girl our age with the steadfast resolve of a celibate monk, except from you Hinata-chan. "Naruto turned to his teammate flashing her a smile all the while ducking a swing from Sasuke who followed up his swipe with a low kick to the inside of his knee. Naruto simple hopped onto one foot before spinning like a ballerina away from the Uchiha who was becoming more and more enraged as the game of cat and mouse went on. "So after all of this Sasuke the guys in class decided you must have some sort of mental deficiency." He dodged another swipe from the kunai before ducking into Sasuke's guard before spinning around the avenger. Tapping him on the left shoulder and hopping to the right.
Sasuke spun around to face the point of contact only to feel another tap on the shoulder from the blonde. He turned again but again the blonde was nowhere to be seen. It was then that he heard snickering coming from behind him, he turned again to see Naruto holding his ribs and with a hand covering his mouth. "OH god teme I'm sorry but that was just so much fun seeing you look around like a headless chicken."
Sasuke growled before swinging at Naruto, the blonde in his state of hysteria was too late to fully dodge the hit and took a glancing blow to the shoulder. He hopped away again rubbing his shoulder as he did. "Jeez teme cool your jets I haven't even finished the story yet."
Naruto saw Sasuke pause though he had hung his head and Naruto could swear he could hear Sasuke's teeth grinding. "Anyway so the rest of us guys figured you, well we figured you were into guys."
Sasuke just stopped his grinding and stared at the blonde his eyes twitching and a vein bulging on his forehead. "I mean at first we were kind of creeped out and avoided you, but then we figured you were just another guy who happened to be frustrated with his confusing new thoughts. Anyway long story short how was the date with Furuichi-san on your birthday a couple months back?"
Sasuke stopped and paled immediately at the memory of the boy mentioned. Said boy had approached Sasuke point his birthday talking about showing him some new techniques and training methods. At first Sasuke thought nothing of it, the boy had been in the class ahead of them and had been a genin for nearly a year. Needless to say Sasuke was extremely interested at the thought of more power. The day had gone downhill quickly when Furuichi had asked Sasuke to remove his shirt and started to massage his muscles, Sasuke wasn't entirely comfortable with it but had thought it would lead to more power, when the boys hands began to roam south with the smallest hints of moaning coming from the older boy, Sasuke had immediately screamed, punched the boy out cold and ran for his life.
"T-T-That was all your fault!?" Sasuke screamed at Naruto his face completely red with rage his eyes seemed bloodshot and his teeth were on full display grinding together to the point were Naruto thought he could see sparks.
Naruto immediately noticed a small flaming eyeball floating above Sasuke's head. 'That must mean he's inflicted with berserk now then.' Sasuke screamed again this time it coming out as nothing more than a primal roar. Naruto grinned before settling into the Kazekami no nagare with both his chakra blades in his hands.
Naruto noticed the Uchiha's speed had increased to the point of matching the blondes, if only in a straight line his turning speed seemed greatly reduced. Naruto smirked before charging to meet Naruto in a clash of weaponry as kunai met trench knife; unfortunately for Sasuke Naruto's strength was still higher than that of Sasuke despite his berserk state. This lead to Naruto knocking the raven haired boy off balance, Sasuke stumbled but immediately began his attack again swinging his kunai for Naruto's throat Naruto saw this and blocked with his own weapon. The two metals construct ground against each other before Sasuke's kunai snapped from the pressure.
Undeterred the enraged boy drooped the broken weapon before spinning on his heel to deliver a reverse roundhouse to the blonde. Naruto blocked with his arm but winced from the impact and slid backwards.
Sasuke still zoned in on inflicting as much pain as possible to the Uzumaki quickly ran through hand seals before spewing a large fireball that seemed more concentrated than what he had used against Kiba. Seeing the roaring flame headed towards him Naruto replaced himself with a log. "So you wanna play rough Sasuke, fine but don't complain when you get hurt." Naruto channelled chakra into his blades extending both to around tanto length before heading straight for the Uchiha avenger.
Sasuke was beginning to calm down after launching the fire attack with the symbol above his head beginning to fade. "Dammit Dobe stay still so I can cook you!" he yelled. Naruto smirked it seemed his opponents mind had cleared enough so that he could speak.
'I guess the berserk status only lasts a set amount of time.' As Naruto got closer he saw Sasuke retrieve another kunai, Naruto smirked before using one of the taijutsu techniques he had learned from the kazekami no nagare scroll. "Stinger!" and like that Naruto's speed doubled as he thrusted a single blade towards Sasuke. The sensei and genin on the side-lines noticed the chakra in the blade spike as the weapon seemed to carry Naruto towards Sasuke.
Sasuke was surprised by the attack and struggled to keep up with the speed of it but managed to raise his kunai to block. As Naruto's attack struck Sasuke's arm was thrown backwards and the boy lost his balance. Naruto kicked Sasuke in the side of the shin not dealing enough damage to knock him over but enough to rattle his legs. He delivered a second kick to the temple which was blocked before Sasuke regained his balance Naruto rolled forward and delivered a lariat to the ravenettes stomach.
Sasuke was bowled over and slightly winded but quickly got to his feet. 'How the hell is the Dobe so strong, he was nowhere near this good in the academy?' Sasuke seethed trying to catch his breath he looked up to see the blonde smirking in his direction. 'How dare he look down on me, me an Uchiha? I will show him the difference between the two of us!' Sasuke took out a set of shuriken and threw them towards Naruto, the blonde ducked, dived and dodged his way through the barrage of weaponry and ran at Sasuke. But before he could move more than a few feet in the right direction he felt something constrict his arms to his sides.
"What the hell did you do teme?" Naruto yelled at his opponent. Sasuke just smirked before revealing wires attached to his fingers. Sasuke raised the wire from his fingers to his mouth before biting down and holding them in place. Sasuke ran through hand signs before again finishing on the tiger seal. "Katon: Ryuka no Jutsu (dragon fire jutsu)" flames raced from Sasuke's mouth before travelling down the wires towards Naruto. Naruto could feel the heat approaching him and squirmed against the wires to free himself but was quickly engulfed in a blaze. Sasuke smirked to himself 'That'll teach the Dobe not to demean the Uchiha.' Sasuke turned to leave before he looked to the flames that quickly dissipated revealing nothing but a small pool of slack ninja wire.
'Where the hell is the Dobe now?" his question was answered as he felt a foot impact against the base of his spine. Sasuke tumbled forward but regained his footing to see a perfectly fine Naruto attacking him.
Naruto delivered a quick punch to Sasuke's jaw before spinning around Sasuke's rebuttal and elbowing him in the ribs. Sasuke wheezed as more air was forced from his lungs. Naruto didn't stop there though and delivered another elbow the time to his opponent's collar. Sasuke winced from the contact and stumbled backwards.
Not letting up Naruto channelled some chakra into his gauntlet to activate his second offensive ability. 'Power strike!' Naruto held back the amount of chakra he could pour into the technique not wanting to cause serious injury to his comrade.
The blow landed in Sasuke's gut in an uppercut, this caused Sasuke to be launched around twelve feet into the air, as he reached the apex of the flight the avenger coughed up a small amount of blood. Naruto channelled some chakra into his legs and jumped up high, high enough to be just above Sasuke before making a single seal as two more Naruto's popped into life beside him.
The clones not needing to be told what to do both span into a forward flip before delivering a heel drop to Sasuke's abdomen. Sasuke rocketed toward the ground followed quickly by Naruto who had another power strike charged and ready to finish the fight.
But before Sasuke hit the ground he was caught by Obito and Naruto's attack was intercepted by Kakashi. Obito looked over Sasuke, his 'cousin' had been thoroughly trounced by the jinchuuriki and he was more than likely going to have put up with a lot more moaning and whining from the brat. Kakashi had just lowered Naruto to the ground and Naruto looked like he wanted to put a little more hurt on the boy.
"Woah easy there cowboy no need to kill the emo it's just a spar. I'll give you credit though that was a pretty impressive performance. Unfortunately you seem to have knocked this one out when you punched him into the air." Obito's words seemed to lull the Uzumaki into a calmer state and Kakashi decided to put the nail into the tiny coffin of relaxation he had been aiming Naruto into.
"Don't worry I know you wouldn't have taken it that far if Sasuke hadn't tried to put you in the hospital." Naruto smiled at the older ninja before sheepishly rubbing his foot along the ground drawing pictures in the dirt.
"How did you avoid that anyway, from this angle it looked like you didn't." Obito already had an idea but wanted to hear it from the horse's mouth so to speak.
"Oh I just used a Kage Bunshin and a Kawarimi when I first hit the wires and before Sasuke could tighten them. Didn't think he'd try to roast me alive though." Obito nodded having thought that's what had happened he wanted to ask Kakashi about how the boy knew the B-rank Kinjutsu but wrote it off knowing if anyone could use that technique safely it was a jinchuuriki, and an Uzumaki one at that.
"Well everyone I think that's enough for the spars today, Naruto well done especially but I'd like all of you to know I was more than pleased with your performance. And before you ask Shikamaru no that does not mean you can get out of your laps of the village." Naruto and Hinata smiled at their sensei but as per usual with the team Shikamaru just groaned though he was inwardly happy with the praise from his sensei.
Naruto stood there for a moment looking at the bruised and beaten form of Sasuke and thought about apologising but quickly dismissed the notion. He would heal and a lot faster than what he had tried to do to him.
It wasn't long after that Obito left with Sasuke to patch him up from the wounds Naruto had given him. Kakashi was the next to leave and told them they had the next day off from missions but would be expected to show up in the afternoon. Shikamaru had been the next to leave, something about his dad wanting him to look after the dear for a while. Finally after it was just him and Hinata alone in silence for a few minutes the girl said she had to be home or her father would be concerned.
Naruto was left alone in the field and he quickly checked there was no one around before he reached out and touched a small light in his peripheral vision.

Naruto ignored the familiar light that entered his body and smirked at the new skill unlock, he couldn't wait to see the requirements for learning it would be though he hoped they were within the limits of the stats he already had. 'Ooh more pretty lights, gimme all your goodies oh wonderful universe game thing a majig.' Naruto had noticed he had a few more lights blinking in the peripherals of his vision.

'Yes I can't wait to start training in the more advanced Katas, I wonder if there is a level cap on these things though. In most games the skills can only go so high, he figured there had to be a limit to how well he could know a taijutsu style and with skills like Scan he could only learn so much about a target before he knew everything he would ever need. He stopped that train of thought before opening the other lights.

'Okay more stats are never a bad thing. Think it's over playing the word friendly though.' Naruto closed that window before reaching out and opening the final window.

Naruto was honestly pleased with the style he'd created through teasing Sasuke and had to admit it had its uses, despite the lack of offense it did allow him to outmanoeuvre opponents and gave him ample time to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses, this combined with scan and the ability to 'Taunt' others made it so much more appealing than what it initially seemed.
Naruto decided to check on the newly unlocked skill now rather than later, he wanted to know what he would have to be focussing on if he wanted to learn it and honestly he didn't want to distract his skills from learning the Rankyaku. Opening the skills screen he quickly found a greyed out version of 'Battle Healing'
Battle Healing: By siphoning small amounts of chakra and stamina when injured the body regenerates and heals injury when in battle.
Required Stats: Chakra 20, Stamina 15 and Vitality 10.
Naruto jumped in the air and clicked his heals together, the skill seemed great and he already had all the stat requirements involved to learn it. He pushed yes and the window turned into a small light that split up travelling to his forehead and navel. When the lights dispersed he instantly knew how much chakra would be used in the technique and was surprised to find it barely scratched the surface of his apparently game breaking level of chakra. 'I am a badass mutha I swear I love this game thing. Damn still need to think up a name for this crap'

Hello again, I'm not overly happy with this chapter and re-wrote a couple of parts more than once. Still not entirely comfortable with it but I hope you enjoy it. The next chapter is already partly written so it shouldn't take too long to finish… hopefully at least.
I will be giving Naruto an elemental Kekkai Genkai in this story and was looking for suggestion on what people think I should use. I already have an idea but any suggestions are always appreciated.
