I don't own Digimon

Tre looked out the window at his little sister and sighed. She always worked hard, in fact they all did but now she was the leader. She had to work even harder and if what Lopmon said was true then they were facing a problem that they weren't prepared for. Humans, Digimon, and the D-Reaper. It was a little too much, on top of that he was no longer in charge. He involuntarily groaned at the thought, he hoped Dez was okay he never meant to hurt him.

In spite of what people thought he deeply cared for Dez, he was hard on him because he knew how much greatness the younger Digidestined was capable of. He'd left Dez at the park in hopes that he would Bond with Impwoman, but that didn't work out. Thankfully he did get a partner though and Impwoman was basically his. He was a natural as he predicted. Tre was worried also, as long as he could remember he was in charge.

Impwoman's decision had hurt him, it made him feel like he wasn't doing his job or, just as bad he wasn't worthy of it. Life was much better when he was just a normal person. He was a quarterback for his high school and he was headed for college. It all changed when the Digimon came, people in his town had heard that this was happening but this was a foreign concept to them.

See Tre was not only the first of the Digidestined chosen, but he was the first in the entire city. The mayor and other officials tried to get him to be the representative for the state of Florida. Every state had 8 reps but Florida only had 6 so they were ecstatic when they heard about him. Luckily for him though this only went on for about a month before other Tamers popped up. They quickly filled out the remaining spots, both were from his town Pensacola.

Sadly though it caused a serious problem. Agumon was his first Digimon and everyone knew that Tamers took on Subhuman abilities like increased speed and strength. This not only voided his scholarship it made it impossible for him to play football anymore. After the controversy surrounding this and similar cases being a Tamer became private information. It was required for things like sports so that Chairmen and administers could set up games with teams that had other Tamers but it was too late for him. By the time they'd put this into effect his secret was out and there was nothing that they could do. He wasn't mad though because now he had a new purpose, even if he wasn't the official leader he'd protect his family with his life.

Cee sat on the couch petting Elecmon. He hated this. He never wanted to be a Tamer. In fact he wanted to avoid it anyway that he could. Cee wasn't the type to let others fight for him, let alone a Digimon. He was a criminal and a thug. People told him that his whole life and he believed it. The one to change that had been Dez, he'd recognized the genius hidden in Cee. Cee was now a scholar and at the top of his graduating class but in his heart he was still a thug.

He used to fight so much that people called him the white Kimbo Slice or just Slice. He guessed that a lot of it came from the fact that he was on his own. His parents were dead and he lived with his senile Grandmother who barely paid him any attention. Dez and Elecmon were his salvation from a life of depression and loneliness. Elecmon was a good Digimon he was quiet and reserved and he was a force to be reckoned with in a battle. Gabumon was rough around the edges and kind of mean but he was okay. Veedramon was gruff and quiet, a mixture of both of his other Digimon's personality. They were exactly the thing that he needed.

Justin hated being the voice of reason. Of all the Digidestined he was the most looked to for advice. They all had sense, but he was the most practical. That is why he was glad that Tre wasn't the leader anymore.

He'd always been Tre's right hand man, but Aleya's was definitely either Dez or Cee. He was quiet, intellectual, and calculating. His Digimon were almost completely different. Monodramon was quiet but he was extremely aggressive. Gomamon was an intellectual, but he was very impulsive. Lastly Betamon was calculating but he never stopped talking, plus he was rude. They were all similar and yet different at the same time. In all they were just what he needed.

They stabilized him and as a result he had the second best team of them all, Leya's was the best though. He would never admit it to Tre but he both admired and had feelings for his sister. He wanted to tell her but he wasn't Sure how she would react plus Tre scared him. He sighed deeply, life was so unfair.

Aleya was out of breath. All of that training had taken the breath out of her. She and Lunamon were riding Kyubimon and Kudamon was on her neck. 'Wow' she thought, 'Now that Biyomon was... gone I only have one Digimon above Rookie level' Lunamon didn't like to fight and Kyubimon and Birdramon could more than handle themselves. This prevented her from actually getting the experience needed to Digivolve.

'That's why I'm going to train all my Digimon, so that they can be as strong as possible' she declared in her head. She was also going to help Dez it was her duty as Leader of the Digidestined and as his friend. She was almost there when she heard a yell. Instinctively Kyubimon ran towards the sound, after a few seconds they reached the source of the sound. It was Dez's house.

"Please let him be okay," Kyubimon said voicing Leya's thoughts. As they entered the house Lunamon couldn't help but smell a familiar scent.

"Is that Dracmon?" She asked Renamon who had reverted to her rookie form.

"Yes I believe it is" Renamon answered. Dracmon himself leapt from the ceiling and onto Renamon's head. "Rennie" he yelled. She picked him up with two of her fingers and threw him onto the floor.

"I told you only Aleya's allowed to call me that. Even if that weren't true you annoy the hell out of me," she said. Lunamon who was noticeably nicer than Renamon helped him up.

"Are you okay?" She asked. He nodded still smiling, "Well then what are you doing here? Dez is hurt and he doesn't need your foolishness right now," she chided him.

"You don't have to worry about that, I'm protecting the boss," he said proudly. The `boss` himself walked in.

"I told you to see who it was... not to annoy them to death," PetitMamon said from the Digivice. He shrugged and scratched his head, smiling impishly.

"Sorry" he said to Dez. Dez just smiled

"It's okay" he looked around and noticed Aleya and her Digimon, "Well I've got a lot to tell you," he said.
