I'm finally updating! Yay! :D

"Nobody can know you guys are here!" Audrey hissed. "Quick, hide in the closet!"

Freddy crossed his arms. "I'm not gonna-"

Avalon jabbed her finger in the direction of the closet and said in a loud whisper. "Get your crispy butt in there!"

Grumbling, Freddy walked into the closet. He was followed by the others, and Parker shut the door.

Avalon was just heading for the door when she heard Katelynn gasp.

The bespectacled girl grabbed Jason's machete off the table and hurried over to the closet. "Open the door, Jason forgot his machete." The door promptly opened and Katelynn handed the weapon to its owner. "There you go, sweetie."

The door closed again and Katelynn turned around, only to find her friends staring at her.

Parker raised her eyebrows. "Sweetie? Really?"

"What?"

There was another knock, followed by a woman's voice. "Is anyone home?"

A few quick strides got Avalon to the front door, which she cheerfully flung open. "Hello. Can I help you?"

The woman was middle-aged, with graying curly blonde hair, and she wore round glasses that magnified her gray eyes almost comically. "I'm Mrs. Cole. I rented you this cottage, remember?"

"Yes, of course!" Avalon smiled. "It's nice to meet you."

Mrs. Cole smiled back. "It's nice to meet you too. I saw you drive in earlier and I thought I'd give you time to get settled before I came over to check on you."

"That's very nice of you."

"Well, I'm glad you arrived safely." Mrs. Cole started to walk down the porch steps. "Bye girls!"

"Bye!" The girls chorused, and Avalon shut the door.

Audrey looked relieved. "I don't think she suspected anything."

"Good." Parker said. "A nosy neighbor is the last thing we need."

Suddenly there was a tremendous banging on the closet door. The girls could only watch as the hinges came loose, allowing the door to topple to the floor. A gasping Freddy fell out of the closet and landed on the door.

There was a stunned silence, until an aggravated Freddy pointed at Jason and growled. "That retard farted in my face!"

All four girls promptly burst into laughter.

"Don't be such a baby!" Avalon giggled.

"I was trapped in a four by four closet with a farting giant!" Freddy exploded.

Avalon laughed so hard that she almost couldn't breathe.

Jason came out of the closet looking embarrassed.

"It's okay, sweetie." Katelynn tried to calm down as she walked over to Jason. "We're not laughing at you."

Hannibal opened a window as Steven was attempting to wave away the smell.

Parker's laughter finally subsided and she cleared her throat. "So, who wants dinner?"

Freddy glared at her. "I lost my appetite."

"Too bad." Parker smirked. "I'm sure Hannibal's going to make a lovely meal."

Hannibal, who had been keeping an ear on their conversation, replied. "How does lasagna sound?"

"Wonderful." Parker grinned.

While Hannibal was busy preparing dinner, Avalon 'persuaded' Freddy to fix the closet door. The meaning of persuaded? Threatening him with a crucifix.

"You broke it, you fix it." Avalon glared at the dream demon. "This is a rented house. We are not leaving it in bad condition."

There was much grumbling and muttering, which Avalon suspected to be cursing, but she decided to let it go for the time being.

Finally, Hannibal announced that dinner was ready, and they all gathered around the table.

"Jason?" Avalon smiled at the large killer. "Would you like to do the honors?"

Jason nodded, but instead of picking up the cutting knife that Hannibal had brought, he whipped out his machete and sliced the entire dish in half.

Audrey screamed in surprise and nearly fell backwards out of her chair.

Jason made apologetic noises and sheathed the blade.

Taking advantage of the situation, Freddy popped up and used his knives to finish cutting the lasagna in the other direction.

The other six residents exchanged disturbed looks.

Parker said aloud what the others were thinking. "I wonder if they ever clean those things..."
