Chapter Fourteen: Toxic Hatred.

"I'm a monster…" Carlie Cooper whispered in her sleep while her symbiote strangely wrapped around her nude form like a blanket. She went to sleep a few minutes earlier as she cried by her experiment by Jackal. It was the noise of shuffling immediately woke her up out of instinct and she looked for the source of the sound.

"H-hello?" Carlie asked in fear as nothing responds.

Suddenly several humanoid Spider/Symbiote hybrids rise from the sewer water and glare their teeth at her. Things went blank for Carlie as her symbiote responded as it enveloped her, turning her into her Scream form and lunged at one of them in animalistic fury.

"We will kill you!" Carlie/Scream roared as she ripped on of the hybrids eyes out, but she was then bitten in the arm by one of the creatures while another one stabbed her in the torso. She screams in agony as the hybrids she was attacking uses its extra arms to stab Scream's arms against the arms, pinning her against it.

"No please don't eat me! Stop them!" Carlie begged her symbiote within her symbiote see could see the hybrids were ready to feats on her, especially that they hybrids' toxins have weakened her symbiote, and just before they could devour her…

*SLASH*

…a quick slash kills the hybrid that was ready to eat her as the Scream symbiote instantly starts healing Carlie once she was freed.

"Who…are…you?" Carlie/Scream asks who was her savior as she looked up to see a familiar humanoid reptile standing protectively between her and the hybrids.

"Don't worry ma'am…" Curt Connors, who's mind is trapped in the body of the Lizard hissed as he showed his claws "…I'm her to ssstop thessse monssstersss."

Back in the ruins of Avengers Tower, two symbiotes battle their personal war with Toxin with the upper hand.

"So you think you upgraded Osborn?" Toxin mocked as he uses his claws to reopen Osborn's/Carnage's wound "You are nothing more than a parasite of a parasite."

Osborn on his end was simply trying to stay alive from Toxin's onslaught. He was already wounded from Gabriel's final attack and now he was unprepared for the arrival of the symbiote's spawn, who is the 1000th in the symbiote bloodline.

"Curse this idea of using the Carnage symbiote! It seems they're attracted to each other!" Osborn cursed at himself internally as he realizes symbiotes seem to never stay apart until they kill each other.

"And now we will strike you down like the vile devil you are!" Toxin proclaimed as he forms a spiked tendril and shoots it at Carnages arm, both stabbing through the symbiote and breaking Osborn's arm instantly as he howls in agony.

"Damn...you..." Carnage hissed as he grabbed his broken arm.

"With that monster, you already are." Toxin corrected as he then grabbed Carnage by the throat.

Outside the ruins of the Tower, Agent Venom and Scorn were ready to go in and take care of the heroes' new problem.

"Is Brock seriously that bad, isn't he a washed out Venom knockoff?" Mania asked as though her symbiote is telling her how dangerous Toxin is, she tried to put that fear aside in order see strong.

"Trust me Andi..." Agent Venom said coldly as he finishes putting his sonic grenade launcher together "...Brock's broken mind and that Toxin symbiote is a potent combo."

"And his rage is far beyond we can allow to be unleashed." Scorn said coldly as she morphed her arm into a sonic blade.

Back with the two Symbiotes within the wreckage, Carnage was receiving brutal blows from Brock's fists.

"You think you're a so called king?!" Toxin roared at the beaten Carnage.

*BAM*

"You killed thousands just in one day!"

*BAM*

"AND NOW YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR SINS!"

And just before Carnage could lay a fatal blow, the Carnage symbiote formed a spiked tendril and stabbed Toxin in the eye, allowing Osborn and Carnage to escape.

"Think that'll kill me? Never kill what you can't wound." Brock said as he lets his symbiote heal his eye.

"I'm not going to die by you…" Carnage said as for some reason Osborn's expsosed face showed a rather out of character grin "I wOn'T dIe bY sOmE PiG LiKE You PaPPy!" Osborn growled in a distorted voice that sounds similar to Cletus Kasady.

"My god the stupid bastard." Toxin though he realized Kasady's mind could not be completely destroyed.

But in that split second Osborn mannerism returns to his normal state as he looks at Brock with pure fury and hatred.

"You think you can control that suit Osborn?" Toxin asks as he sharpens his claws "We'll kill you before that dark soul returns!"

"I will never lose as I will build my kingdom!" Carnage roared as he lunged and forms axes on his hands.

In that instant the two began to tear each other apart as they use their symbiotes to see if they can truly survive a fight to the death.

And just before both of them could finish the job…

*BOOM*

Both were hit with a blast of sonic energy, weakening their symbiote and showing their bloody wounds. They looked up to see the Spiders as Agent Venom aims his sonic grenade at the two.

"Stay out of this!" Both Toxin and Carnage hissed at the heroes.

"Not this time!" Venom threatened "It's time we end this!"

And before an even large brawl could happen, a winged figure dives down and picks up the wounded Osborn. Agent Venom tries to shoot the figure down, but misses.

'They hell?!" Agent Venom asks in confusion.

"W-was that Hobgoblin?" Spider-Man asks himself as he tries to find the figure.

Back with Hobgoblin and Osborn, Carnage tries to weakly struggle against his savior.

"Let go of me Kingsley!" Carnage hisses.

"Don't worry boss, I ain't that old bat!" The "Hobgoblin" chuckles as he answers Osborn.

It was then Norman puts two and two together as he realizes who's under the mask as the high tech masks forms from Hobgoblins face, revealing the scarred face of Jack O Lantern.
