~*~Chapter Fourteen : The Waterfall~*~

After settling into the cabin, Todd took Marty out to explore the surrounding woods. "Jason told me all about this place," Todd stated.

He held Marty's hand in his as they stood at the edge of a giant bluff. It was adjacent to an immense waterfall. "This has got to be the most beautiful place in the world," said Marty. "It would be fun to make love under those falls."

Marty was staring at the waterfall in wonder. When she turned to look at Todd, he gave her a little grin. He already had something romantic in mind.

A few days later, they awakened. Marty rolled over in bed, snuggling up to Todd. "Good morning," she said.

"'Morning, baby," he said.

He quickly crawled out of bed. "What are you doing?" Marty asked in confusion. She watched as he hurriedly got dressed.

"I have to take care of something."

"But we haven't had our breakfast yet!"

"I'll be back soon," Todd promised.

He gave her a quick kiss, then he reached for a wrapped up bundle. Marty was baffled as he headed out the door.

Todd hid the supplies in the cave directly behind the waterfall. Jason had told him all about the cave, and it gave Todd ideas. He wanted to take Marty swimming later. After playing in the waterfall, they could make love in the cave. With that plan in mind, Todd concealed the food, blankets, and candles in the cave for their romantic evening.

Meanwhile, Marty was in the cabin. She was preparing breakfast on the stove. Her eyes got huge when she heard a plane flying overhead. She forgot all about the food she was cooking as she rushed out to see the plane.

It was police chopper, directly above the cabin! *They've come to capture Todd!* Marty lamented.

"Todd!" Marty called out in fear.

She began freaking out. She stood upon the porch, yelling for Todd. She was so distraught that she did not realize that their breakfast was burning on the stove. The embers caught upon a nearby rug. Within minutes, their little love-nest was ablaze.
